An angry biker at a crossroads. A woman in search of a fresh start.
Lisa Wenhold’s business partner stole everything. Her dreams of opening her own business are ripped away when she learns the debt he owes to a local motorcycle club now falls to her. With her brother being a member of a rival club, going to him would start a war between the two MCs. She thinks she has a solution, until a sexy biker with a surly disposition saunters into her life…
Rage has never met a woman as feisty, proud, and determined as Lisa. Nor has he ever fought this hard against such a fierce attraction. Even so, resistance is crucial considering she’s the sister to one of his biker brothers. He’s instructed to protect her, and he’ll honor his word. But things are getting harder by the day...
Falling into bed together is unexpected, in the best way imaginable.
Karen Renee is the author of the Riot Motorcycle Club, Beta, and O-Town series of books. She once crunched Nielsen ratings data but these days she brings her imagination to life by writing books. She has wanted to be a writer since she was very young, but it’s taken the last twenty plus years for her to amass enough courage and overall life experience to bring that dream to life. Some of those life experiences came from the wonderful world of advertising, banking, and local television media research. She is a proud wife and mother, and a Jacksonville native. When she’s not at the soccer field or cooking, you can find her at her local library, the grocery store, in her car jamming out to some tunes, or hibernating while she writes and/or reads books.
Rage is at a point right now where he wants to decide if he will stay with Riot MC or will he go nomad. Lisa was thrilled to have started her own business that is until her business partner screws her over and is indebted to the local MC the Devil’s Lancers. She can’t go to her brother because he happens to be a member with a rival club, Riot MC and that would truly cause problems for everyone involved. Now Lisa will try to earn the money to pay the Devil’s Lancers MC and one way for her to do it is to audition for a strip club. Once Rage realizes that Lisa is his MC brother, Cynic’s, sister, he shuts that idea down immediately.
I loved this book with the chemistry between Rage and Lisa and all of the drama and suspense that came from their story. This is a book I found hard to put down and I’m so glad that Rage and Lisa got their HEA.
I will never get enough of the Riot MC because every last one of these books is fantastic with Rough Riot being no exception. Poor Lisa, her life isn't going well at the moment after her business partner stole everything, leaving her in the crosshairs of a MC. She doesn't feel like she can go to her brother, who is a member of the Riot MC since the other MC is a rival so she's trying to go at it alone. Rage is at the crossroads of his life as he's trying to decide if he is going nomad or not but life is about to take an unexpected turn. Lisa decides to audition at a strip club so she can get money fast to pay that MC, however, she gets shut down when Rage learns that Lisa's brother is in the Riot MC. He decides he's going to help her, while she's not about to take that help, and you already know who will win that battle. They have serious chemistry that won't be denied for long as they start spending time together, and maybe just maybe feelings will get caught, but I'll never tell! In order to find out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Rage drove me nuts through most of this one and Lisa to a lessor degree. Rage for his attitude and how he wanted to leave everything behind, his back and forth with Lisa, how he was attracted to her, yet treated her like shit. Argggggg!! Lisa drove me a little nuts for her not wanting to take the help that Riot was more than willing to give, to want to payback everyone who helped her. I get why she did, but she was in over her head. Had it just been that her partner stole from her would be one thing, but the whole other crap, she needed the help!
I liked how this one ended, glad that Rage was able to settle down in his head and his life, glad that Lisa was ok taking the help and glad to see the two of them happy together.
This is another stellar read done by Karen Renee! Rage is at a crossroads in his life- not sure whether he should stay a part of his chapter or just go and become one with the open road, a nomad. Lisa has just moved to town and is about to start her dream of build and selling her own created furniture line. Unfortunately her business partner makes a few poor decisions and Lisa gets caught up in the crosshairs of his mess. This book is full of spice, humour, drama, suspense, brotherhood/code, fears, and so much more. It will have you wanting to read until you are done and yet wanting more!
If you don’t mind waiting 90% of the book before the main character, Rage, “gets his head out of his@##” as his own brothers so fondly put it, it was ok. I probably would’ve loved this book if that didn’t frustrate me so much. With the other characters, at least 50% of the book went by before they realized that the woman was the one for them. Not so here. What makes it worse is that he blames her for something awful in the end and even though he knew he made a mistake by saying so, his apology was too weak and her readily acceptance was even more lame. Author makes up for all that 😭lost time in the conclusion, but by that time, even my interest dwindled in what was quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the series. It was such a let down😭
Rough Riot is Rage and Lisa’s story and while part of the larger Riot MC series, can be read as a standalone with a HEA ending.
When Lisa’s business partner reveals that he owes a MC a huge amount of money and that they stole her grandfather’s tools as collateral, she sets out to get her belongings back without having to involve her brother Cynic, a member of the Riot MC. After a meeting with the president of the Devil Lancers, who told her she could pay her partners debt with her body, she decides to find the tools and a way to earn the money she needs to pay the debt as quickly as possible. Searching through pawn shops, she meets Rage and their paths cross again when she auditions for a strip club. He won’t let her try out once he realizes Lisa is his MC brother Cynic’s sister. As Rage slowly uncovers the story from Lisa, their relationship moves from strangers, to frenemies, to coworkers, to more. Eventually they both have to face their demons and decide if they can make their romance into something more, while dodging the dangers of Lisa’s situation.
Now that I’ve demonstrated why I do not write story synopses for a living, I can tell you that this is another great chapter in the Riot MC story. Getting to see glimpses of other members who have their own books and seeing them as family men is really awesome! While this book didn’t hit me as hard as some of the others emotionally, I was sucked in from the beginning and read it in almost one sitting. The characters are well written and come alive. Lisa’s skills as a woodworker are spot on and I have to admit, I really want to see the hammock stand she built for Yak! I’m happy with Rage and Lisa’s HEA and am looking forward to more of Yak’s story.
I adore Lisa. So much. She’s strong and stubborn and forgiving and so very talented. And she manages to make friends of unlikely folks while turning Rage inside out, so that’s a plus! And unlike a big, bad man, she’s not afraid of her feelings. But maybe he’s not so scared of his either. Maybe he’s just afraid of failing someone….
Rage puts his foot in his mouth a few times. And then his whole leg. And somehow, he doesn’t choke on them…much. And as we get to know more about Rage, it’s easy to see what he’s struggling with. And why. And just how hard he’s fighting the pull of Lisa, even if his mind constantly tries to make him stumble and admit exactly what she is to him.
This series never lets me down, and this book is absolutely no exception. Lying “friends”, awful exes, danger, slimeballs coming out of the woodwork on both sides of the law, and Lisa in the middle. Even when everyone is fully prepared to step in to fix the problems dropped on her head, things can go sideways. And they do. But knowing that Rage just needs to make peace with what his head and heart already know, as well as seeing just how many people have Lisa’s back, makes this a tad emotional at times. And even when it’s all solved and love is in the air, I want more. So I can’t wait for Yak because that man deserves something truly awesome to come his way….
Talk about a Rough Ride. The author has given us a well written, suspenseful/action packed storyline that held me captive from start to finish. Not to mention characters that you couldn’t help but root for (as well as familiar characters in the Riot MC). This is Lisa and Rage’s story.
Rage is struggling with the club and thinking about going nomad. Lisa has moved to town with her business partner to start her dream of owning a store to make and sell furniture. Sadly her business partner screws her over and takes her for everything she has. Desperate, she decides to try stripping to get quick cash. It’s there she runs into Rage and his temper. He recognizes her as the sister to a Riot MC brother in another chapter. From here the story takes off with Lisa trying to prove her independence and of course Rage and the club wanting to fix things and protect her.
These two are like oil and water. Their banter and chemistry is crazy good. Who will win out and what becomes of the mess in Lisa's life? Grab up the book and find out - It’s an outstanding read and great addition to the Riot MC Series.
Can one person really alter the course of your life plans? Without a doubt. That's the major theme throughout Rough Riot. You take steps to create and life the life you want and it can get shot to hell in both the worst and best way possible. That's what happens when Lisa moves to Jacksonville and tries to start her own business. After getting royally screwed over by her business partner, Rage and the Riot MC step in to protect and help her. And being around Lisa completely blindsides Rage who is trying to go nomad.
Lisa was trying to build her dream and when her partner Scott betrays her and puts her in the line of fire with a rival MC. Her brother Cynic who is a member of the Riot MC in Biloxi has informed her to involve the Jacksonville Riot MC, but that is the last thing she wants until she meets Tyler "Rage" and everything changes. I loved this story, Lisa and Rage are so perfect for each other. This book gave me adventure, danger, love and above all family, I loved every word. Highly recommend it!
He is just supposed to watch over her until her problems are taken care of She is a brothers sister so she is off limits but their attraction can not be ignored,
Lisa has had everything she has dreamed of taken away from her by her business partner and now his debts are hers , to top it off it is owed to a rival MC , Rage is tasked with watching over Lisa and that in itself is a whole different complication
I loved Rage & Lisa's story. Lisa is a strong independent women who's brother Cynic is a member of the Riot MC and Rage couldn't figure out where he knew the last name from until it hit him. Rage i s unsettled and ready become a bond until she walked into his life. I loved going on this journey with them it was full of twists, turns and steamy scenes. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
Wow. This was an interesting book. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Rage and Lisa together, they had instant attraction to each other. Rage has been feeling something was wrong for a while, but Lisa gives him something. Lisa loves her work, but she has to go through a lot because of a friend, Rage and Riot MC help her out.
I love this story. The connection between a women in a historically man dominated career (furniture making) and a biker with a known ability to rage (although never violent towards women). It was captivating and wholly consumed my thoughts ever since I finished the book. Highly recommend. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Enjoy
Absolutely loved Rage and Lisa’s story ❤️❤️❤️ I love sassy, badass women and Lisa certainly fits the bill. Rage is such an extra growly biker but she calms him. Brilliant read. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When people told him to go to heck, he always said he was already there. He’d been wrong. Now he was there. And it was self-inflicted. He had to stay away from her. He knew that. So why did he insist she stay at his house?
Love a good love story. With MC romance is at its finest. They way they are a brotherhood and family. The way the come together to protect those they love.
Absolutely loved this book!! Plenty of action in it. I loved the banter between Lisa & Rage! She doesn’t back down and gives his attitude right back to him! This is all around great book and want to read the rest of this particular series. Lisa is a very determined woman but is smart. She doesn’t do stupid stuff, she admits her mistakes and tries to do better. I love how Volt, Punc and all of the guys are with her. The banter between everyone will keep you very much entertained.
I love this group of brothers, their old ladies and the cute kids. This isn’t a dark, gritty biker story but it focuses on the sexy romance with a bit of danger. The club doesn’t seem to have any nefarious endeavors but is focusing on legitimate businesses to support the club and families. This story features a brother in need of healing as he lives up to his road name Rage. When he meets the beautiful furniture maker, Lisa, he’s smitten. She is the sister of a brother in another chapter but still sort of off limits. I loved Lisa with her sass, feistiness and unusual career. She is new to town and finds herself in trouble, not my her making but still sideways with a nasty rival club. There’s a thread of danger and some violence throughout the story that ramps up toward the end. Rage was a conundrum with his demons that play out until the end. His last bad act toward someone that didn’t deserve it put me off the brute but I guess it provided conflict. Forgiveness came to soon for me. I like this author’s writing that kept me turning the pages with the sizzling romance and the terrific brotherhood. Worth the read!
Taking us back to the original chapter in Florida for this story. We get to follow Lisa (Cynic's sister) as she starts a new chapter in her life; moving to Florida to start a new business and try and make a name for herself. The problems start when she learns that the partner she brought with her has gotten himself into some trouble and in turn brought it down on Lisa as well. Now she is in the middle of drama and trying to prove that she can manage her life with the MC stepping in to help her, problem is will they just passively sit by and let her, that would be a big fat no.
It was really great going back to the Jacksonville chapter and seeing all the guys and gals. This had a lot of back and forth and tbh at one point you wanted to shake a few characters and tell them to wake up. We get some great drama, a bit of violence, and some hot naughty moments. I really enjoyed this story and give it 4.5 stars.
He didn't do relationships. He couldn't if he wanted to since she was related to an MC brother. She was different. She'd made a bad decision. Her business, her dream, was gone because she'd trusted someone.
Why was he drawn to her, maybe it was her strength of character as well as a person. She was gorgeous but so much more. He just had to resist her. Stay away from her. Not possible when he'd been assigned her protector. Any family of a brother was the family of the club and would be taken care of. He couldn't refuse.
I love when the MC is a big part of the story--one of my favorite parts of this book. Not only do the brothers' party together and ride they work to ... you need to read no spoiler.
Steam, loyalty, action, amazing characters, and a wonderful addition to the series. I can't wait for the next one!
Oh My! I've volunteered to review this book for United indie Book Blog. I love to read stories by Karen Renee. Rough Riot is the seventh book in the Riot MC series. This is Rage and Lisa's story. Rage is struggling with the club and thinking about going nomad. Lisa has moved to town with her business partner to start her dream of owning a store to make and sell furniture. Rage couldn't figure out where he knew the last name from until it hit him. She is the sister of a brother in another chapter but still sort of off limits. These two are like oil and water. Their banter and chemistry are crazy good. I found it hard to put down this book. Steam, loyalty, action, amazing characters, and a wonderful addition to the series. I can't wait for the next one! You have to READ this for yourself to found out what happens between Rage and Lisa. Keep up the awesome work!

This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Rage and Lisa’s story. Lisa’s dreams of opening her own business are shattered when her business partner steals everything away from her, leaving her responsible for a debt to an MC. Lisa’s brother belongs to a rival MC, so she does not want to approach him for help which would cause a war, so she decides to find another way to raise the money. Rage recognizes Lisa as his MC brother’s sister, and he puts an end to her plans, and he is assigned to protect her. This is a well written story which has drama, suspense, danger, intrigue, emotions, humor, action, twists, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What a fantastic read, loved this one from cover to cover, action from beginning to end, and a sexy romance to boot.
Loved Rage and Lisa as a couple, she balanced him out and seemed to smooth his feathers so to speak. Loved the spark and chemistry they had together, it is too bad Rage fought it for so long. Lisa was an all round sweetheart, she had most of the MC men wrapped around her little finger without ever realizing it.
Overall loved this one especially because most of the MC brothers were involved and their old ladies especially Trixie and Roll because they are one of our favorite couples in this series. The story made us laugh, and it was a lot of fun, just loved it.
I enjoyed this book, I will admit I wasn’t a fan of rage in the beginning of the book. One thing for a man to be dominant & be in charge. But rubbed me a bit wrong he was ordering food for her without her input. Back & forth with him kept giving me whiplash. But slowly I started liking him. Lisa would get on my nerves about the tools & wouldn’t trust the guys. She claims she’s been around the MC life cause of her brother Cynic from the other chapter but she really didn’t get. But I’m glad they both found each other in the end. Can’t wait to read Yak book!
