Lachlan

Rate this book
Lachlan is delighted to be picked by Tesla to help her friend out in Germany on a sensitive joint operation. Yet, when he finds out what’s involved, he’s shocked and intrigued. He’s not so overjoyed at the several references to how this “friend” would be perfect for him. Leah is relatively new to her job as a military analyst based in Germany. When her department is asked to help in a joint task force, she’s afraid she’s in over her head. She’s worked with several of these people before, but this case is an international banking scandal, which everyone is anxious to keep out of the media. But that’s pretty hard to do when the kidnapped victims survive, and a loved one doesn’t. As the bodies pile up, Lachlan realizes this is more about keeping Leah safe and less about helping Tesla out. It doesn’t take long for him to agree, and she becomes his priority too.

Lachlan

An intricate puzzle to solve for sure. Lachlan must rely on Leah, new to the job in Germany, who does similar work like Tesla does here. They help navigate the intricacies of the software and hacking world in business and banking. This time they are dealing with thieves hacking banks, taking hostages to ensure huge pay outs, and the new twist, with people getting murdered.

This exciting turn of events has Lachlan, his team, Markus and Axel, going over to Germany to have Leah train them on the latest computer software technicalities, instead, they have found that Leah is in way over her head, in immediate danger and now a target for the hackers who want her eliminated. Leah has found a way to identify which bank will be hacked next and the thieves aren’t happy about that.

I enjoy Leah’s focus on the information at hand while chaos is erupting around her. Her determination to ferret out details Lachlan and his team can use is a great asset in keeping one step ahead of the people out to nab her. Her knowledge of the banking software and her own hacking skills are the assets the thieves are after in order to silence her so they can continue on their quest for power.

I love Lachlan’s ability to keep Leah safe while moving them around and running down clues as to who is behind the taking of hostages and the murders. I enjoyed Jonas’ inclusion in this story. He has been so misunderstood and hard to keep happy each time the team is involved with bodies turning up on his turf during their missions.

I enjoyed the range of emotions Leah and Lachlan go through during this journey to get to the bottom of this mystery. There are a lot of unanswered questions that become clear one-by-one. The satisfaction of finding out the reasoning behind the murders and callous actions of the people and families affected by the greed that drives these criminals is paramount when justice is finally served.

A great fast-paced, page turning read to keep the reader involved until the end.

Lachlan was delighted to be picked by Tesla to go to Germany and help her friend Leah on a sensitive joint operation, although he is not so thrilled at the references to how she would be perfect for him. Leah is relatively new as a military analyst and when her department is asked to help in the joint task force she is afraid that she is in something which is over her head. The case is an international banking scandal that everyone wants to keep out of the media but that is becoming harder considering that the kidnapped victims are surviving but a different family member does not. Lachlan starts to realise that it is more about keeping Leah safe and alive and less about helping Tesla, but it doesn't take long before Leah becomes his priority too!

I really enjoyed this story where there was a major mystery around who was at the bottom of the banking scandal. There were plenty of surprises - some were obvious, some were a complete surprise and some were a little bit in between both of these. I loved the way that the relationship between Lachlan and Leah developed slowly and did not appear to be there until almost the end of the book. An easy to read story that was easy to understand. Contains a little sexual content at the end of the book.

There is a threat being perpetrated against high level German banking personnel and Lachlan has been tasked with finding out who is behind it before they strike again. This assignment has him working with Leah but he is determined that he will be the one man in his team who will be able to avoid falling in love with the person he finds himself working with however after he meets her that is easier said than done.

Lisa’s skill when it comes to computers are second to none however, she is unprepared to fight off the danger she finds herself in. With her intellect and his experience when it comes to perilous situations, they make the perfect partners both personally and professionally.

Twists you don’t seeing coming, action that keeps you on edge and a romance that is sure to entertain.

I just can’t get enough of these books. You have Mason and Tesla who are the undercurrent of the story with their matchmaking but then you have the main characters trying to survive and find out the background to the plot going on. Lachlan is sent to do a computer course with Leah but then things turn deadly as one person ends up dead whilst the kidnapped person is set free. I was glued to this book. I had an idea who the baddie would be but I didn’t think it would be as twisted as it ended up being. I can’t wait for the next book in the series now.

Leah is a military analyst based in Germany. She is also an extremely skillful computer hacker who spends her work days working on computers in her office. However, her friend, Tesla, another military analyst, recommends that Leah work, in the field, with a team that is working on a sensitive joint operation in Germany. Lachlan, who is aSEAL on Mason’s team, is in charge of this mission.

Lachlan, and his team mates, Axle, Markus and Jonah, who is a British M16 agent, are working on an assignment that involves a very sensitive banking scandal. A group of people are kidnapping German bank employees. They hold them hostage until their bank fulfills the ransom. After that, they release the employee and kill someone else who is an important person in the bank.

Immediately after Leah joins the group, they are chased after by people who are attempting to kill them. The group moves into a safe house where they try to find out who is after them and why. Leah, who has never worked anywhere but in an office, feels overwhelmed when she realizes that she is way over her head in this mission.

I love the relationships between all of the team mates. Leah, Axel, Markus, Jonah and Lachlan always treat each other with the highest respect. They accept each other’s fears and differences. Because they are all aware that Leah is not trained for fieldwork, they are willing to accept her fears and do everything they can to help her adjust. Whenever they disagree on something, they solve the problem by respectfully compromising with each other.

This book is an action-packed intrigue book with a complex plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end of the book.

This is the 28th book in Dale Mayer's "Seals of Honour" series, each one a standalone.
"Telsa would like you on her team, she'd like you to be her eyes and ears", this was like music to ex navy SEAL Lachlan MacGavin's ears, Telsa was married to Mason the head of the security firm and she was the best hacker in the business, he could learn so much from her.
Lachlan's first mission was to meet up in Germany with military analyst Leah Ketridge, a friend of Telsa's, to work on a joint task force. It was thought that hackers out of England were targeting banks across Europe, people were being kidnapped, CEOs were being killed, where were they getting their information from ? had one of Leah's team been corrupted ?, was her work compromised ?
Lachlan was to be helped by team buddies Axel and Marcus and because England was involved, Jonas from MI6.
Lachlan was smitten by the tall willowy blond, Leah, but he was determined that the matchmaking that was spreading through the team wasn't going to catch him........or was it ?
As the body count escalated it became clear that Leah's life was in danger, could anyone reach them in a safe house ? the perpetrators had to be caught but they were good and they left no clues.
This story is action packed with plenty of surprises, it was lovely to see characters from previous books especially Jonas and of course Cupid's arrow hits Lachlan right between the eyes.

Lachlan is one of the books in the SEALs of Honor Series. Mason needs to send a team to Germany to be part of a joint task force trying to find the people responsible for hacking into a series of banks, kidnapping, and then murdering bank CEOs when ransom demands are not met. Mason’s wife Tesla thinks Lachlan is perfect for this mission since he would make a great match for her friend Leah who is her counterpart in Germany.
Leah goes to the airport to pick up Lachlan. They meet up with Markus and Axel also from Mason’s team, and Jonas an MI6 agent who is part of the task force. Mason’s team has worked with Jonas in the past and this leads to some lighthearted banter.
The action starts right when they leave the airport and doesn’t stop until the end of the book. They are followed leaving the airport and bullets fly. When Leah is alone, the safehouse is attacked, but Lachlan arrives just in time to take the kidnappers out. I enjoyed reading this book and was surprised by the ending. Lachlan saves the day and Leah and Lachlan have their HEA.

Lachlan by Dale Mayer
SEALs of Honor Series Book Twenty-Eight
Lachlan MacGavin was sent with a few other teammates to Germany. A dangerous group was kidnapping, demanding ransoms from banks, and killing when refused. It was supposed to be a computer training course, but it turned in to more. Jonas from M16 was there since two of the incidents happened in England.
Leah Ketridge’s life changed in an instant. She went to pick up the SEALs from the airport, and the next thing, they were being attacked. Her job as an analyst must have her on the right track to find answers to the bank kidnappings and murders she was looking into.
Lachlan and Leah weren’t going to fall for Mason and Tesla’s matchmaking scheme. And they were being kept busy enough not to think about it. But when all is said and done, and the case solved…their friends might have succeeded after all.
This is an ongoing series, but each book stands alone. It adds to the story to know who some characters are, like in book one with Mason and Tesla.

Lachlan is recruited to go to Germany to help out one of Tesla's team, Leah. There have been a series of kidnappings from bank personnel with the bank CEO's being killed and the kidnap victim released with no knowledge of what went down.

To say the welcome Lachlan, Marcus, Axel and Jonah receive is messed up is an understatement. Although Leah meets them at the base, the drive to where they were staying was fraught with evading a tail. Instead of where Leah thought they were going, they are now at a safe house.

I really got a kick out of the interactions with Jonah, being MI6 he's sort of the outsider here but in the thick of things because all this started in England. There's even a bit of a rivalry happening for Leah's attention.

One thing that is very puzzling is that the target of the attack on them seems to point to Leah. The question is why. When one of Leah's co-workers goes missing a whole new avenue opens up.

Things get even more intense and the chemistry between Leah and Lachlan is undeniable.

Plenty of suspense, action, flirting and a touch of sizzle.

This is a great suspense filled action packed unexpected romance story.Lachlan works for Mason .When Mason says Tesla is counting on him to be her eyes an ears .She wants her friend to be safe an he can help her as a computer tech.Mason tells him he's leaving in three hours he also smiles an says its your turn to which Lachlan says no matchmaking.Mason hold his hands up like he's innocent an says Tesla says you guys would be great together. After the flight to Germany he was hoping to have a meal an get some sleep but that's not happening. When their buddy from M16 shows up he says good to see ya. He says to Lachlan you guys always leave a mess to clean up. Then the most beautiful woman Lachlan has ever seen. As danger rises the only thing Lachlan can think of is hiding her somewhere they would you feel safe with me .?This is a really good story and its another great book damn this woman is old lady material. This is a really great word an I wanted avid readers to know its so worth reading

A joint team of hackers is creating havoc in England and Germany. Leah is in a new 6 month stint in Germany and needs help unraveling the mystery.
Lachlan has made it clear there will be "no matchmaking" if he goes there to help, which are for sure 'famous last words' even if it is Tesla, not Mason, who thinks they will make a "nice pair".
So Germany includes M16 and Jonas which is always fun. Maybe not for Jonas who thinks these people always bring trouble but fun non the less.
So adventure, safe houses, chases, explosions and mystery all keep the pages turning. The characters and their interplay are also a part of the intrigue. Great book! The next one with Paxton promises to be the same. I'm looking forward to it!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A 3.5 stars read.

I'm a big fan of this series, it's always a fast-paced full action with insta-romance read, perfect when I need some pick-me-up on a long crazy hectic day.
This one is no exception, it's still an entertaining read, full of action and love the mystery of finding out who's behind all these kidnapping and murder. I like the romance, it's an insta-love but stil cute for me. Not a big fan of Leah though, her attitude kinda annoying, it's like she's in denial with all these attacks while everyone is trying to protect her, but I loveee Lachlan, well Dale Mayer always write alpha hero that I love and I'm hoping for that MI6 series because I loveeee Jonah ahahahha that guy really get under my skin.

Good fast-past mystery read with cute insta-love. You guys should try this one if you're craving something fast and entertaining.

When Lachlan is sent to Germany to work with Leah, an analyst and a friend of Tesla and Mason’s, he gets in the middle of someone wanting to harm her. Leah is working a case behind the scenes of recent bank hostage situations and has determined the next hit. During her research, more dead bodies pile up and it will take Lachlan and his team to keep her save and from being the next victim.
A good read with some steam, suspense, twist and turns and good characters. I enjoyed seeing Markus, Axel and Jonas who makes more than just an appearance in this book. I liked the no drama between them and enjoyed the twist near the end. I would have liked to know if the other “half” of this scheme was finally solved and what happened on that end.

What an interesting story, full of twists and undercurrents of who can be trusted or not. Not really sure why Jonas was there since he seemed like more of a spare part really, but it was good I guess to have him actually on the same team as Mason's guys instead of being completely anti. Great characters, suspense and the banter between Lachlan and Leah was amusing. Fast flow and a happy ending which is always wonderful. I always find myself fully engrossed in this authors books, she writes complex stories, some are more inspiring and then others are lighter with a fun aspect. Every single book has me coming back for more, this one included, fantastic and exciting.

Entertaining read with our men of honor. Travel a slightly different road with banking, kidnapping in the global world. Lachlan is our main seal and he, with Alex and Marcus are there to assist Leah in this endeavor. Since this is not only happening in Germany but in the UK Jonas is present. It was a nice change getting to see the rapport between Jonas and the guys, not just the usual trash talking. Leah is doing her best to help solve this situation and people in her job are not taking her seriously enough. The ending had a twist, I knew the bad guy, or a bad guy and as causal Dale stirs it up. Thank you for the arc, I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

What is the saying...? Oh yeah "Opposites attract" just like Leah and Lachlan. Leah's mind goes a million miles a minute while her fingers on her computer keyboard are not far behind while she is usually talking at the same time. While Lachlan is leaning against or slouching in just smiling and listening to Leah talk. Occasionally he goes over to Leah's computer and leans down or slouchs over while smiling at the computer screen. Asks a few questions and calls his team updating them.

Leah is the brains and Lachlan is the brawn along with his team who are trying to find whoever is robbing banks and killing people. A slightly different plot twist but excellent none the less.

Lachlan doesn't believe he is ready to meet the one and is over everyone talking about it and while sent over to Germany to help on a mission finds it refreshing Leah feels the same way. What neither of them expect is not only for attraction between the two to grow between them, nor the ongoing attacks and danger they are constantly in while trying to determine who is behind everything and who if anyone they can trust. I loved the twists as well as not knowing what will happen next and to top it off the perfect match between Leah and Lachlan.

Lachlan is off to Germany to learn about computer software. Leah will be teaching him how to use the software, but then she becomes a target, and it's up to Lachlan to keep her safe.
Kidnappings that aren't the usual type, with ransom demands that are life and death. Leah is brilliant at her job, but who can she trust.. Everyone is a suspect until Lachlan can clear them.
Lachlan certainly has his hands full, racing to keep ahead of the danger.
Twists and turns that keep you guessing.. What a great read!.

There is so much going on in this story. It's like a who don it. Leah is a hacker who is trying to find out who is kidnapping relatives from banks to get money. Some people are coming up dead, but other people are looking for her now because she is asking too many questions and snooping around to find out what is going on. Lachlan is there to protect her and help. Get ready for plenty of action and a HEA. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mason sends Lachlan, Axel and Markus to Germany to meet up with Jonas. Leah is going to train them on some new computer tech; however, they also need to help her solve financial crimes. Everything goes south in a hurry and they end up protecting her from dangerous people. Sparks fly between Leah and Lachlan as the drama heats up around them. It's a great read. I found myself hoping Jonas and his team will get a series soon. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

It starts as a simple joint mission but quickly takes a turn when the team is shot upon after leaving the airport. The question is who is the target and why? There is plenty of suspense as the team tries to keep Leah safe while at the same time trying to determine what is going on with the hackers - especially when the safe house they are staying at gets hacked. The action is real fast and furious toward the end as the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Kidnapping and murders associated with banks across England and Germany! What is going on and why? Lachlan and some of his team are dispatched to help, MI6 is also involved. Hackers are involved in this chaotic mess. I had no idea what was going on, as the author unravelled all the pieces it became clear. The romance in this story didn't really happen until the end, even though the chemistry was slowly simmering.
I always love the characters in this series. This was an excellent rainy day read.

No matchmaking!

Leah and Lachlan have both avoided the matchmaking attempts of friends so far, but here their luck may have finally run out....or maybe their luck has finally kicked in when they find the one that intrigues them like no other. All they have to do is solve the bank heists, stop the murders and stay alive!
