She laid unconscious on the beach a note in her pocket, with his address.
Only two trusted friends had that bit if information, who was she.
Waking up she still didn’t know him. To regain a memory brought the nightmares and hope they were not true.
He lived a life away from everyone he knew. A story of the lies that were told and they believed them. Finding the truth of who they really were, would that set them free.

I had no idea what a fabulous writer Lisa Phillips is. This was the first of her novels that I've read, but it won't be my last.
Not one to go the "expected route," Phillips writes with fearless determination and grit. Just as you think it's time for the good guy to finally win... he loses. Again. And again. There's no deux ex machina going on here. No, just killer writing, superb plotting, and fabulous characterization... and I'm not just saying that because one of the characters ended up with my name.
Double dog dared her to use it... and she did. And she kept me hanging on that, too.
Recommended for lovers of fast-paced, high-tension suspense. But if you love formulaic fiction, stay clear.

I wasn’t expecting our hero in hiding to get a story in this book- I assumed he’d be in with Z’s team. As with the last couple, this book doesn’t tie in to the mystery we had at the beginning of the series but comes up with its own separate one. Though we see some characters from the previous books and are getting more and more looks at Z and his team - I’m getting super excited for that next series! This was a Christian romantic suspense with an amnesia trope. It was well done and I liked all of the angles and how they wove together. I can’t wait to start the next book (though unfortunately I have to wait a couple weeks).

Enjoyed!

I loved the use of a favourite ‘s name as an alias. I have a feeling that means these authors are friends. I did figure out part of who the heroine was but it didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the story. The end was not as fulfilling but —there is another book coming out in June!

I delighted in the inner dialogue of the characters, the witty humor, and spiritual insight. I would have appreciated more on the later. The story has multiple layers and twists. The opening of the story helped to create a wonderful suspenseful atmosphere fo the whole tale.

An excellent read

Another excellent book from Lisa Phillips. A riveting and inspiring book, with characters you come to feel like you could sit down with because they are developed so wonderfully. It reminds us that life doesn’t always go the way we think it will and God often doesn’t work the way we think He should, but He has a plan. Thank you Lisa for such wonderful characters and stories that keep us enthralled from beginning to end. Anyone who enjoys suspense and action will love this series. So worth the read!

Explosive

Very exciting read from beginning to end. The characters are believable and you get invested in them from the very beginning. Anyone who enjoys clean, mystery, adventure , strong male and female characters and faith based stories will love this book and all the other books in this series. I very seldom write reviews on the books I read, but I had to write one for this book and series. Happy reading !

Memories

I find this writer to be a little choppy and hard to follow who is speaking (or thinking) BUT her stories are so exciting I can't put them down. I dont mind having to flip back to see who is now speaking or what the point is. I just started book 10 and am hoping it won't be the last!

So hard to put down!

Thank you, Lisa Phillip's for another great read! While I figured out who Toni was before the book revealed her, I could not fully get the why. The story was woven very nicely and kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Kudos to you.

Reality

This is not your typical, light read. In fact, this book deals with some harsh realities in life in a well written manner that invites hope. If you are up to facing challenges and coming out victorious, this book is for you.

last chance county book 9

This is a thriller from the first page to the end. A great series I love how the author chose the characters and they have fallen away from God and How she works it out for them to see how God takes care of them and brings them back to Him.

Book nine in the series

I liked this book and the series, but I get frustrated because so much goes wrong. I feel like it should be the keystone cop series where it's a comedy of errors. In the end, all is well, lessons learned, and not gets girl.

This story has a rich plot with many twists and turns. Jeff is a one-armed man (due to an injury in service), and Toni has amnesia after being attacked. What an amazing combination!

There is never a dull moment in Last Chance.

While it was good to catch up with the characters in Last Chance and there were aspects of the novel I enjoyed, overall I found this one stretched plausibility.

Look forward to reading the conclusion of the series.

IRRESISTIBLE!

Couldn't put this serious down.
This book was captivating! I loved the aspect of Jeff not being body perfect and Toni being completely comfortable with that.

This was a terrific book!
