The Odyssey Duet #2

The Judgment of Paris

Rate this book
Love is honorable but selfish. Love is a record of my wrongs.
Love had fractured in trials but held on for the truth.

And the truth was he’d hurt me, yet I loved him.
He’d left me, yet I followed him.
But I was done with Léo Baudin.
And as soon as the semester was over, I would be done with Paris.
But until then, I would learn the rest of his secrets.
The ones they whispered about behind his back. The ones that had the entire city watching his every move. The ones that held him hostage.
But to know his secrets meant to know him. And to know him was to fall further for the man who’d already hurt me so much.
I hated him for breaking my heart, but I should’ve learned by now that the things we loathe become the things we love.
And just when I thought there was nothing left to keep us apart, the ghosts of his past came back to life with a truth neither of us could have expected.
And lies that neither of us could imagine.
As each layer unraveled, the choice between power and wisdom and love grew greater. And the consequences of our decision would be the judgment of this city.

But when all else fails, love always hopes.
Against all odds, love always perseveres.

The Judgment of Paris is the second book in the Odyssey Duet. It is necessary to read The Fall of Troy (Book 1) first.

Rebecca Sharp always loved a good love story. Let's face it, when you include a romance novel on your 8th grade summer reading list just to see if the teacher would notice (she didn't!), she was bound to give writing one of her own a go. There's really no corner of romance that she doesn't (or wouldn't) enjoy writing, except maybe aliens, much to her husband's dismay, so her large catalog features a little something for everyone. However, her love of shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds makes her favorite stories to write the ones with some kind of suspense and crime solving.

When she's not writing, she's at her office treating patients, and somewhere between those two things, you'll find her wandering the globe with her husband always searching for their next adventure.

❝ There was nothing left but to accept my punishment for love—to live in the city of love—the city that also held the man I loved—and yet be without him. ❞

THE JUDGMENT OF PARIS is the second book in R. Sharp's 'The Odyssey' duet. It picks up where The Fall of Troy left off. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives'

How things ended in book#1 for our star crossed forbidden lovers like a crack whore I couldn't wait to get my fix, couldn't wait for this to arrive on my kindle so that I could dive in and once it did that was me signing out of life and devouring this book in record time, transported to Paris the land of love and magic..

As we saw in the first book art Professor Léo Baudin, up and left abruptly when their affair was on the cusp of becoming public he made his way back to his homeland Paris, leaving a broken and devastated Troian behind. Her only aly best friend Kev.

Now Troian aka Troy has been offered a chance in a lifetime, to study art abroad in Paris for a semester the exact place where Professor Leo Baudin is teaching.

Secrets don't stay uncovered for long, and ghosts of Leo's past come knocking, crumbling down the walls of his sought after freedom yet again testing the bond of Leo and Troy like no other. But like any love story there were more hurts and obstacles to cross. Can their love stand the test of time?

4 Ma Petite Bataille Stars ⭐️

“I haven’t been good to you, ma petite. My life here may not be good for you. Mais la vérité… but the truth is no matter how dark it is, the moon still belongs in the arms of the night.”

Beautifully written and set across the magnificent backdrop of Paris, The Judgement of Paris is the conclusion of The Odyssey Duet.

You need to be reading this duet if you enjoy a forbidden, age gap romance between a professor and student at its finest. Their love story is tumultuous, raw and gritty. It's passionate, filthy, rough and devestating.

The Judgment of Paris continues on from the heartache and despair that are Professor Leo Baudin and Troian Milanovic.  With their affair being exposed at the end of The Fall of Troy, Leo has moved back to France, forcing them to move on with their lives from opposites sides of the world.

But their paths will cross when Troian is accepted into a Parisian study program. Once again they find themselves in the same classroom; the agony and loneliness of being apart will consume them until the consequences no longer matter.

”The Exact. Same.”

”He looked like last semester hadn’t happened as he walked toward the desk in the front. Like he’d never met me. Like he’d never touched me… never fucked me. Like he never loved me. Like he’d never hurt me.”

”He was the same and I… I would never be the same."

No longer prepared to be apart, they will need to overcome Leo’s past that no longer wants to remain hidden and it will do its damnest to keep them divided.

3 'drama, drama and some more drama' stars

My loathing needed him. It fed off of him like an insatiable beast. And if I couldn’t have his love, then I’d take his hate.

I think this duet could easily be squeezed into one book because the second book was one long unnecessary DRAMA. Having read The Fall of Troy I kind of knew what I was getting into, so I shouldn't be surprised by all this drama. But it seems I possessed way more patience back then when I was reading book 1 because now, I just skipped all the drama parts.

The story wasn't bad and I actually liked the writing style here. Surprisingly, Troy didn't quote Baudelaire every chance she got but the writing was still full of various literature and mythological metaphors, which I got to admire. My opinion hasn't changed, I still think this author should try writing poetry, she has lots of potential there.

The first of the tears slipped from my eyes, but in the relative darkness on the lawn, no one could see. Except maybe God. And he knew as well as I the pain of sacrificing someone you love.

However, there wasn’t any real progress or development in Troy and Léo's relationship. They love to hate each other and hate to love each other but all that we already had in book 1. I was glad we got to see their happy ever after but that was all.

He always had to tear me completely apart before he put me back together, his broken pieces mingling with mine.

I kissed him like I loved him—violently, desperately, and with complete willing abandon.
And he kissed me with a new kind of possession—the kind that made my knees weak with its intensity because he’d been wanting to give it to me for so long.
There was truth in that kiss—that love was a paradox of possession, for the more you took, the more you were taken.

I might haven't been truly invested in the main story but I was very much intrigued by a certain side character. Quinton seemed like a hero from some urban fantasy and I just discovered he'll get his own book The Gargoyle and the Gypsy. I'm looking forward to it because apparently, it will be much darker.

The Fall of Troy (The Odyssey Duet, #1) by Rebecca Sharp 3,5 'Love to hate' stars ⭐⭐⭐/⭐

Was this book necessary? NO.
But of course I had to read it after the cliffhanger from The Fall of Troy.

I wanted to love this so much, it hurts that i feel this way. I am so disappointed in Leo. DUDE come on, why are we going in circles over the SAME THING.
I felt like Troy was the one who was continuously fighting for their love and Leo was just giving up always so easily, he was an asshole through and through.
She followed him like a dog who needed water only for him to get jealous and take her back because she had an awkward kiss with another student who helped her translate a French paper. Sir, you can go. Thanks for trying though.

That was totally unnecessary for me. It was full of drama that could be avoided if the story ended in the first book. Kinda disappointing. 2 ⭐

"Léo Baudin had come into my life like one of the most famous masterpieces in the world. Admired. Revered. Meant to inspire. Meant to be loved. But always untouchable"

Wow, this second part of this duet will blow your mind. Don't let my rating fool you. I really enjoyed every minute reading this book. But I have some minor issues with it, that haven been carried over forward from the first book. Questions popping up while reading, where I never found the answer in the book.

"She was the first thing I saw in color for the first time in months. I saw the red of her anger. The blue of her sadness. The orange of her hurt. And the brightest white of her last few glimmers of hope."

Mostly I sadly questioned the love between the characters. To me it feels pretty physical and I'm afraid both parties mistake love for lust/attraction/desire. Specially with the age gap I personally need something more fundamental. Something that shows me the actual love. Something that really binds them together.

However, the author turned it around for me at about 66% into the book.

"I'll never be able to give you what you deserve, ma petite. But that doesn't mean I won't give you everything I have."

Deeper into the story I fell in love more and more with Léo. He became more aproachable, I could picture him more clearly. Seeing his scars and his soul. I also loved how Troy grew through this journey, especially keeping in mind that she's only 19. Her character came a long way from the first book and it's impressiv how the author handled her character development.

"Our love was a new odyssey. And though Troy may have fallen, the battle for my heart was won."

So overall you can say The Judgment of Paris is a great conclusion in "The Odyssey Duet" leaving you with the need for more.

The judgment of Paris riprende proprio da dove The fall of Troy ci ha lasciato.

This could have been 5 ⭐️ if the ending didnt fall into a tropey mess BUT it was still so so so so good

🌶️- 🥵 yes. (Don’t even talk to me about the coffee thing. That was so unhinged)

Tropes
- student / professor
- “let me love you- I’m scared for you to love me”
- secret past coming back

The first 75% of this book was just a perfect darkish romance book and then the last 25 kind of fell a little bit flat - just like nothing wow considering how much wow there was in the first book and the first 75% of this book, I was expecting like a really good ending, and it just kind of went right into all the normal tropes making predictable, and a little bit easy to guess the end plot…

BUT. AGAIN THE WRITING WAS SO GOOD AND THE PROSE WRITTEN IN WERE SO AMAZING.

The MMC was so feral, possessive and unhinged that like I do not care about some of the stuff that happened in the end of the book I just loved him and the main FMC so stinking much that I was so sad when the book was finally done.

All in all very happy I picked these books up. I had the time of my life. I’ll be reading more from this author.

It's not often I find myself at a loss for words over a book but here I sit at a total loss. I felt the same way with the first book in this duet so it's really not a total surprise that I am feeling the same way again. Dr. Rebecca Sharp has outdone herself with this duet, she has crafted such a beautiful work of art that I truly do not see how she can top this.

Leo and Troy have a complicated love story which takes us on a journey of heartbreak and sacrifice that has you wondering if love can actually conquer all.

I highly recommend this duet to all lovers of Contemporary Romance, over 17 please due to sexual content, especially those that enjoy the following different tropes: May-December/age-gap romances, Teacher/Student Romance, and Forbidden Love/Taboo. This is the second and final book in the Duet which MUST be read in order so please if you haven't read THE FALL OF TROY yet grab a copy today!

Happy Reading!!!

BEST AGE GAP EVER!!!!

Excuse me a moment, I need to remember how to breathe.......

Sharp, once again has delivered a masterpiece of all masterpieces. Every time I think she cannot top her previous book, she proves me wrong.

The Judgement of Paris is just a big beautiful black hole that sucks the life out of you. I honestly didnt think my heart and soul would survive Troy and Léo. They just absolutely slayed me, in the best possible way. My heart was torn open, shattered and then put back together in such a heart stopping way.

This book, this duet is the most amazing age gap taboo that I've read. Its filled with non stop emotion, so much angst. Every sentence is better than the last. Sharp has just blown me away with yet

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! Forbidden, Professor/Student Romance. Incroyable! I loved this duet! The setting in Paris made the best background. I felt all the emotions, the depths, so much angst and the incredible once in a lifetime love affair. It was perfection! The epilogue was beautiful.

I skipped large parts of this book because it was just getting boring.
1/2 of the book is all sex scenes, the rest unnecessary drama. I guess there was supposed to be a suspense, but it all got ridiculous when were involved political aspects, powerful families, re-connections with long lost brothers and a wife that appeared out of nowhere and made all the rules as if she owned the place.

Of course, there had to be a child. And I mean Troy's child - a plot line that was not only unnecessary, but an absolute waste of time. Actually, this was a waste of my time. 1.5 stars, just because the writing is somehow pretentious.

Mi aveva buttato a terra.

‘𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒐 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒛𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒂. 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒂 𝒊𝒏 𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒄𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒐. 𝑬 𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒈𝒍𝒊 𝒐𝒄𝒄𝒉𝒊 – 𝒄𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝒖𝒏 𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒐 𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐 – 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒊 𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒗𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒗𝒂 𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒆, 𝒄𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒂 𝒖𝒏 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒐 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒊 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒆. 𝑬 𝒑𝒐𝒊 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒗𝒂 𝒅𝒊 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊 𝒅𝒊 𝒏𝒖𝒐𝒗𝒐.’

The Judgment of Paris , the second and final book of Odyssey Duet by Rebecca Sharp was a timeless, poignant and elegant story of poetic love. It was a lazy stroll through a gallery or listening to the most beautiful orchestra where your senses will be engaged, stimulated and satisfied. But it was a violent battle field at the same time. The messy, intense, heartbreaking , chaotic and angsty emotions collide , clash, destroy and resurrect. The love, lust, passion and need permeated my heart, broke it into tiny pieces and then healed it in an impossible way.

Troy and Leo's story is one of those epic, unforgettable and out of this world love stories those mark you forever. This review was very easy as it deserves 50 stars easily but also difficult because I am at loss of words. The forbidden age gap teacher-student romance is so much more. Troy is a mass of anger, need and longing after Leo Baudin, her enigmatic Professor has left suddenly. And just when she was coming together, she had to go to Paris to complete her abroad study programme. Which was once a dream becomes nightmare. Because Leo is there. Like a moth attracted to flame, she deliberately put herself in his path only to find out her senseless, all consuming and maddening feelings are reciprocated by Leo too. Two shattered and damned souls crash and fuse and celebrate till the darkness from Leo's past resurfaces. Now they have to make a choice. But what if love is the only choice they should make?

This connection between Leo and Troy is absolutely stunning and unique. It's so difficult to express. It's like their despair, desperation, passion and love creeps into my heart and engulfs it. I can feel every heart-rending, devastating , aching and soul numbing emotion. Every touch, every kiss, every word is branded in my heart forever. Rebecca Sharp's prose is more like poetry which flows effortlessly and drowns all the noise so that all I can feel is the deep words. I could highlight the whole book because it was a piece of art. A well choreographed ballet. A spontaneous adventure. A mixture of both. A beautifully traumatic love story.

The Judgment of Paris by Rebecca Sharp wrecked me, consumed and stole my breath away. The writing was simply genius. The story hurt like hell yet feel like heaven. An unforgettable masterpiece. A sensational, seductive and enthralling creation.

I am blown away by the complete and utter beauty of The Odyssey Duet by Rebecca Sharp. The Fall of Troy (book 1) was one of the most painfully gorgeous books I've read in my lifetime. I knew The Judgement of Paris would be equally as stunning. It had to be. There was not way RS could bless us with such beautifully crafted characters - such devastatingly perfect plot lines - and leave us hanging with the second half. Well, rest assured, Paris is everything you've been waiting for. And then so much more.
Story Line: Troy and Leo's story continues with us wondering what the fate of these two forbidden lovers will be. Lord, calling them lovers seems to be much too weak of a word to describe them. If I've ever read a book whose characters were soul mates, they were nothing compared to Troy and Leo. These two define love. Love is a word no one can full describe and I think we all can agree on that. However, if a book (or duet) could full embrace the essence of the word, The Odyssey Duet would be it. Not only do I get the warm, fuzzy tingling feelings just thinking about their love story, but my heart actually aches for these astounding fictional characters. Will you find out the fate of Leo and Troy? Yes. Will there be more obstacles, foes, and surprises? Without a doubt, yes. And will you re-read Troy and Leo's entire story from start to finish many, many times over? Abso-freaking-lutely.
Interaction: I am at a loss for words trying to find just the right way to explain how perfect Troy and Leo are together. She is the light to his dark. The sun to his moon. They are their own works of priceless art. My heart and soul went on a deeply sensual journey along side characters I will forever be emotionally attached to. You will yearn for their connection. You will mourn their pitfalls. You are guaranteed to feel every single emotion Troy and Leo experience. I have never loved a love story the way I love this one. It has embedded itself on my heart and will be tattooed there forever.
Laundry: The Judgement of Paris is hands down the most beautifully sensual book I have ever read. Period. The connection I felt between Troy and Leo was incredibly intense. At times I felt like I was intruding on intimate moments I had no business witnessing. Not in a dirty way. But in a way, that if it had been me, I would have wanted to black out the outside world from moments I would treasure indefinitely. So, is there laundry? Yes. Is it light the bed on fire hot? No, it's light Paris on fire hot. So just sit, sip your wine, and enjoy the beauty of it.
Depth: A story about forbidden love can't have depth to it, right? Insert mega eye roll here. What is my immediate take away of the second half of their story? It's the love story, of course. But it's a laundry list of other details too. It's the pain that comes with that love. It's the decisions that are made, the priorities that are decided upon. I know, I'm being incredibly vague, but I can't give anything away. All I will say is this - Leo becomes a man I admire, lust for and totally respect. And Troy becomes a woman I relate to, strive to be and totally respect as well.
RS, you have written a Duet worth immortalizing. Troy and Leo deserve a shrine on every shelf they grace. Their covers are absolutely stunning, but their story is one I hope every single person has the opportunity to read. The Odyssey Duet made me love hard, love deeper and love endlessly. Thank you.

MY RATING: 4 Stars
TITLE: The Judgment of Paris
AUTHOR: Dr Rebecca Sharp
SERIES: The Odyssey Duet #2
RELEASE DATE: 09 July 2019
CLIFFHANGER: No

ARC Kindly Provided for an Honest Review

“Did you love me when I left you?”

As soon as I put down The Fall of Troy I jumped on this with the quickness of Usain Bolt. Make sense? Never mind. I was already on a high from that cliff-hanger, so I wasted no time at all.
We pick up from where we left Leo and Troy but this time we’re in Paris.

“Turned out, life was like a boxing match. It knocked me down, kindly danced around and waited for me to get back up, holding until I was steady on my feet before it threw another flattening punch.”

description

We last left Troy in a bit of a predicament. The man she loves had literally run away from her. Does she chase after him or let him go? But life goes on and so does school. When she finds herself as an exchange student at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts; his territory, one thing is for sure, she’s angry and determined to avoid Leo at all costs. But we know our girl is a glutton for punishment. So will she really?

“But when I turned and saw her a short hour ago…it was only God himself who kept me from her.”

description

Leo is now back home. Back to the drama and rumours that he can’t seem to escape or shake. A dark cloud is following him everywhere. His career and reputation are in tatters and there doesn’t seem to be much he can do about it. Important as these are to him, nothing compares to the heaviness sitting on his heart. The longing he has for the woman he loves; that he can’t have; that he walked away from and broke in the process. He wants her back but try as he might, he can’t see a way back to her. So when he walks in his class one day and his blues collide with his almonds, once again his world tilts at its axis. But what will he do? The restrictions are still the same, his past remains unchanged; he still has nothing to offer her. But is that reason enough to stay away or will he throw caution to wind and get his girl back?

“Troy was my home, but there were insurmountable, immortal obstacles that kept me from her.”

description

I must admit, the first few chapters I was starting to get pissed off at Leo a bit. Homegirl was fighting for this man and he was just being a pussy. So at some point I thought, Leo

description

description
DAMMIT THE GIRL WANTS YOU. BAGGAGE AND ALL.

Why do men do that? Think they know what’s better for us than we do?

description

Anyway, so when Leo finally got his shit together and stopped torturing Troy, I thought FINALLY. But I knew there was going to be some more shit because there is an underlying sense of menace throughout the book. You can’t shake the feeling of trepidation in the story. Even though you’re happy that they’re finally got their shit together you know
description

AND THEN
description

ME:description

I was not ready for the evilness that these two had to contend with. I mean the author gives you a clue as to who’s going to cause them some trouble but I was not ready for the kind and magnitude of the trouble that will come their way. I mean Troy had fought the fight. I did not blame her for what she did.

I was so happy with how it turned out. I must admit I wasn’t as engrossed in this one as I was in The Fall of Troy. I don’t know why. But I suspect I’d had enough of Leo’s shenanigans and I was tired on behalf of Troy. I wished he would have fought a bit more. Every time a curve ball came their way he just stood there while that shit took them out and left the battle to Troy.

I mean description

Troy was a trouper. For her age she was really mature and had incredible mental and emotional strength. It was amazing to see her grown from where she started in the first book. I only wish she would have made Leo grovel a bit more. That man put her through some shit and every time he came back, she didn’t put up much of a fight. I get she was “fused” to him, but fuck me.
Also, I’m at the end of the duet and I still don’t know how old Leo was. I didn’t see his actual age stated anywhere (unless I missed it); it was just inferred in relation to something e.g. he was about twice Troy’s age. But it doesn’t matter. It was forbidden enough. It goes without saying, if you’ve read the fall of Troy you have to read this one.

“If I was still breathing when you left me, then yes, I still loved you.”

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I couldn't believe all the twist and turns and the drama. Rebecca you really out down yourself with the judgement of Paris. I still think Leo is mean and ruthless. But he he shows the good parts at times. Yiu just have to look harder. Troy I think sometimes she forgave to easily but when you love you put it all out there and life is short. I'm honestly hoping Vincent will be next and Bridgett that would be amazing.

What can I say about The Judgement of Paris? It was Epic. Amazing. Breathtaking.

Léo is a flawed hero that I have totally fallen for. Rebecca writes him as a passionate, talented, larger-than-life man, who has foibles and weaknesses like any other. It makes him more real and gives readers hope that their own Léo is out there somewhere.

Troian is a woman at the start of adulthood, struggling to find her path in life yet lucky enough to be swept up in Léo’s all consuming love. She displays wisdom beyond her years as she copes with the consequences of Léo’s previous relationship. She’s the kind of heroine readers want to be: strong yet vulnerable, passionate but level-headed.

Their love story is a joy to read. The path to true love does not run smooth, and this one is a bumpy as hell. The storyline is good but it’s the characters that make it great. They’re so detailed and three-dimensional, it’s like reading about two people that you know. Their dialogue is sublime - Léo’s passionate, dirty mouth is a winner and Troy’s impassioned proclamations of love and understanding are beautiful.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this book and this duet. It has epic stamped all the way through it. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.

Troy and Leo were a couple that shouldn’t have happened as he was her Professor and she was his student, but some things are too powerful to deny, and this was the situation when it came to the love between them.

When Leo escaped what was about to become a media storm after their relationship was disclosed, he left a devastated Troy behind and returned to Paris. Fate had other plans for them as when Troy is offered an opportunity to study at the same school where Leo is teaching she believes it will either be their second chance, or it will give her the answers she so desperately needs about the man she loves.

When all is said and done, they must either go their separate ways and leave what they had together in the past or prove that their love is worth standing up for.

This story takes you on emotional journey filled with so much angst that your heart breaks for Troy and Leo but the chemistry and connection between them is unparalleled and it is a fitting conclusion to this duet.

"All that anger, all that loathing, this was what it covered: a heart that was so bruised and broken it thought it didn’t deserve to beat, much less be loved. But then aren’t the most beautiful masterpieces the ones of the broken?"

If this is true then Leo and Troian's story is the most stunning piece of art I have ever seen.

Mrs. Sharp has once again delivered an angst filled, emotional journey of two broken lovers.

I may have sworn a few times at what the characters had to endure, I may have had to stop to process my feelings- there were a LOT.

My love for this duet is extreme, I devoured the extended epilogue immediately- and would happily read more if it was on offer.

These books are masterpieces, inside and out. If you are going to take a chance on any duet this year, I strongly suggest this one.

The best conclusion to an amazing duet 💙

Where do I even begin with this book?! Rebecca Sharp has done it again. I thought the Fall of Troy was absolutely amazing and the best books of hers I’d ever read. Well I was wrong, because the Judgement of Paris was in another world entirely. This book made me feel every single emotion. It was a such a whirlwind and roller coaster. It was absolutely perfect. I devoured this book. I did not want to put it down at all. Rebecca Sharp has a way of just sucking you in and keeping you captive throughout every single page. I have never highlighted as many passages in a book as I did in this one. Quote after quote just stuck with me or made my heart ache or just awwww. This is one series that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking and just absolutely amazing. I will never not recommend these books.

5 STARS!

Ah, what a way to end the story! This book took me on a wild rollercoaster of emotions, one that I'm least likely to forget. I've highlighted so many lines on this book I can barely keep up with myself.

Troian and Léo's love story is tumultuous; they went through a lot of obstacles. Sacrifices were made, judgments were drawn, hurdles were met and conquered.

This book talked about love through different views and avenues. Through different experiences and understanding.

"Love didn’t work proportionally; it made you feel in exponentials. Exponentially more happiness. Exponentially more pain."

"...only normal people love normally.
And I was broken and desperate. So, I loved brokenly and desperately."

"...love is only like our chemicals in one way: once two molecules have joined, have reacted, it is a very rare circumstance to be able to break them apart and pull them back to their natural state.”

Above all, it talked about how love is incredibly rare and should be worth fighting for. No matter what.

"What we have isn’t one end of the spectrum, it is the spectrum. Black and white and every goddamn shade of gray in between. It is the beginning, the middle, and the end. It is everything."

"Love is both the sacrifice and the reward. The need to give it all and the desire to take it all.
Love is pleasure and pain. Beginning and end."

This story is intense as it is passionate. It will take you an a journey of love and slef-discovery. Totally recommended!

The Judgement of Paris is the beautiful sequel to The Fall Of Troy.

This book was heartachingly soul-crushing and all consuming in all the right ways. Without giving much away, Léo is separated from Troy for months due to certain circumstances. Her mind is vengeful yet her heart longs be reunited with him once and for all.

"Aux objets répugnants nous trouvons des appas."

In the things we loathe become the things we love - that's exactly what Troy and Léo's relationship was. They were both constantly pushing, pulling and teasing but at the end of the day, they both knew where they belonged; in each other.

"You better believe I’m going to keep you in my bed and fuck you until you can speak French because I’ve died every day I haven’t seen you… haven’t touched or tasted you… haven’t lived inside you.”

If you long to feel a love as deep, broken and beautiful as theirs, then read the first book along with this one. You won't regret it.
Hands down one of my favourite series now ♡

they're still a frustrating pair. miscommunication is somewhat acceptable for a few chapters but not for two whole books.

and the first book was normal, with a professor-student relationship and the taboo of it. this one has a vengeful wife, secret society and secret babies (multiple babies). all of it was extremely unnecessary.
