I was excited to read Conner’s story after reading the last chapter of Trust Him and, thankfully, I enjoyed this book a lot.

When I first started reading this series, I thought that Cole would be my favorite of the Jagger family, but it turns out that Conner is the one for me. He’s always there for his brothers and their girlfriends, he’s funny and caring but, unfortunately, his the last one to get his HEA. The only thing that I didn’t like about him is that he broke his promise to his brothers numerous times, that really got on my nerves.

As for Kennedy I really liked that she was feisty and sassy (she even joins a catfight that I really enjoyed 😂) but my heart broke for her after everything she (and unfortunately so many other women) got through because of that crazy af ex of hers (he's totally insane I swear).

I liked this book more than Taint Her and Trust Him (even though I felt that the first time Conner and Kennedy got intimate was a bit rushed) so you’d probably expect me to give it a higher rating but 4 stars it is.

Again, this ends with a cliffhanger and I really can’t wait to finish Temper Him, I just want them to get their HEA!

“Torment her” is the fifth book of the “Rebels at sterling prep” series and the first book of Conner and Keneddy’s duet!! Told in dual perspectives , get ready to meet Conner and the girl who has always owned his heart!

I have been so excited for Conner’s book that I can’t even tell you guys! The way these two authors write is just too fantastic for me and I am absolutely addicted to their world of characters. Kennedy was the perfect match for Conner and I couldn’t love her more. Since this was the first book of the duet , it ends on a cliffhanger.

Kennedy is the girl who has always had conner;s heart. Now when she arrives years later to him , all broken , there is nothing that he wouldn’t do to fix her. Kennedy is hesitant to give her heart to Conner again , not after when she has already gone through so much, But his pursuant personality has her walls coming down slowly. That is until her life is ripped apart again. Now she is not sure who to trust and Conner is determined to stay with her no matter how much she protests.

The ending of the book threw me off and I would pretty much give away anything to get the next part of this duet! A definite recommendation to all the dark/ contemporary high school romance lovers out there!

A Fast-paced Heart-racing Story With Heartbreak, Truths, Intrigue, Action, Love, Steam and A Cliffhanger that left me Wanting more!
I loved Conner & Kennedy, DEVOURED this book in 4hrs.
#My 1st by Caitlyn, and I'm 100% going for more! I can see there's a lot of history in this series with Ace+Remi & Cole+Hadley, I'll check out their books!

Kennedy ‘Kenny’; Sassy, Fun, Stubborn, Badass; has been through hell & Back.
Conner Jagger; Easy-going, Charming, Sweet; is Cole's Twin & Hadley's friend. Ken brings out the Alpha in Con!

The story starts with Kennedy being brought to Con's home, Battered & Bruised. He's of course very Concerned about wtf happened, but when doc checks her & she wakes up, she wants nothing to do with him. But as she's a minor (17), with no family, & means so much to Con, James (C's dad- There's a backstory here, hmm?) Takes her under their wing & transfers her from Heights School to Sterling Prep, where our whole gang goes too.

There's a history b/w them..
They were Besties since KG along with their other friend Warren. Con+Ken had one Magical night, She gave him her Firsts..But then Everything went downhill.
Lies+Misunderstandings happened & Warren came in b/w these two Soulmates. Then Con moved away..And later Warren became a Monster.

Now.. It's only been 8 months but a lot has happened. She faults Conner for leaving but he thinks she wanted him to.
This all could be easily solved with Talk, but she's being a Hardass & Angry to Con, which Hurts him (I wanted to give him a hug!).
Now as they're around eachother a lot, there's some serious push & Pull, & We see glimpses of their beautiful Friendship.
~Healing, School (K handles the Mean girls greatly!) & Studies, Bonding with the Jaggers, Fam time, Parties, Jealousy & Insecurities, Con's pain & Fights..

Con+Ken's Chemistry is always Off the charts & we've Some kisses + HOT sexy times! But afterwards she pulls back, which guts Con.
Then in a Blur of Anger, All the truths come out *Omg*! (I kinda like that He gives her the cold shoulder after as she was giving him previously!)
And When he's hurt badly in an underground fight, Ken comes & Cares for him..+ She's here to Stay! *Yay* their relationship starts❤. ~Swoony moments, Dates, Fun!
But their Relation isn't all rainbows as Con's struggling with the anger towards Warren & How badly W hurted Ken. I'm glad that Con has his whole family & Ken during it all!
But Ken pushes Con's limit (So FUN!!) & is successful in Breaking his stupor *Cue Blazing Sexy times!*. I loved seeing them Happy! Cue I love yous❤.

He'll do everything to Protect Her..
~Warren's Searched but it's like he's Just..GONE. All the Jagger boys are frustrated with this, especially Con.
Also The School's ending in just a few months & They've to Choose Colleges..
Now Con is a great Student but Ken isn't sure what she wants just yet. Together they can solve it all, right? Who knows? Because the Cliffhanger we just Got, leaves so many Questions!
Will they find Warren? Where's Ken? How will Con handle This? Wtf happened? Why did she leave? What's Next?
I'm so excited for the Next Book in this Duet!!

P.S. I loved how the Jaggers & the girls accepted Ken! I hope Ken can resolve her Jealousy regarding Con & Hadley's friendship as they're just friends and Con deserves all the Love!

From childhood, Kennedy (Kenny) has always been Conner's true love until her (his?) decision to stay with Warren, Conner's best friend once Conner moves to the Bay. After a traumatic event leads to their reconnecting, he attempts to pick up the pieces — if she will open up to him. The usual carefree brother, “nice boys finish last,” is dealing with issues reacquainting with Kenny leading to coping vices.

Great character development once again from these authors. Conner, while still sweet and studious, could definitely wield his alpha in true Jagger fashion. Another steamy one, Conner and Kenny shared chemistry with sexual tension and decidedly hot encounters. Kenny, vulnerable and having no family remaining other than the Jaggers, could hold her own against the mean girls. It was hilarious to read her taking them down when provoked. Sadly, though, her unnecessary push and pull and choosing not to communicate, inspired a fair of amount of antipathy toward the heroine's character. Annoying behavior, Kenny caused a lot of unmerited (contrived) angst for problems that could have easily been addressed.

I enjoyed the dynamics among all the characters. It was entertaining to read more Cole (my favorite antihero) and Ace. The friendship among the girls, Remi, Hadley, and Kenny, was nicely interwoven. Conner and Hadley (from the last duet) still share a special friendship, and I loved some of the angsty jealously Kenny felt because of it. I was also excited to read more about the underground hinted at in the story from Conner’s MMA.

Overall, I enjoyed this story. I just could have done without the inordinate push and pull and disagreeable heroine. I look forward to the next book as I’m sure a rewarding happy ending is in store.

After the first two duets that I enjoyed, I can't believe how bored I am with this one. While communication issues are always, always the basis for these types of stories, in this case, how much this book would not exist if these kids could have one full blown honest conversation can't be overstated.

I skimmed this from the 60% mark. I might skim the last book just to get closure on all the Jaggers.

ARC in exchange for honest review.

This is the first part of Conner and Kennedy's duet.

Caitlyn is fast becoming one of my top authors. Trust her ended with a bang with Kennedy landing on Conner's doorstep and Torment Her picks up right where it left off. Kennedy was Conner's bestfriend until he walked away thinking that is what she wanted. These two have so much history but the chemistry has always been there even when they were young. Kennedy has always been the one that got away for Conner and now that she is back he is not letting her go for nothing. But Kennedy has other ideas she is still very angry at him for leaving her in the hell that she was in.

Conner and Kennedy's story is not for the faint heart as Kennedy especially has been through hell and back. I found Conner very different from his brothers but i still loved every second of it..

This book had the heartbreak, the secrets, the hotness, the undeniable chemistry no matter how much they tried to fight it and it also ended in one hell of an unexpected wtf lmao bring on the next one because im dying here

Torment Her is the first part of Conner and Kennedy's duet. This duet is literally my most anticipated one in the series because Conner has always been my favorite character, and when the blurb was officially announced, I know that his duet will be everything I've ever hoped for.

In this book, we get to see Conner and his best friend Kennedy got reunited after Conner left the Heights. An incident happened that cost Kennedy to be hospitalized which brings Conner to take care of her. Even so, Kennedy didn't really like the idea and was angry at him for everything that happened, which was caused by misunderstandings from both parties. However, their chemistry and feelings for each other are still there, and I can't help but feel sorry for both of them. I have to admit that I didn't really like Kennedy in the first half because she's a bit annoying but it's understandable why she acted that way.

Overall, I have to say that I enjoyed this book very much because we can literally see how much Conner truly loves Kennedy and how he tried to be by her side at all costs. This book is also pretty emotional yet intense but totally worth a read. I can't wait for the next book!

Conner and Kennedys story was addicting but it took me a while to warm up to her. I totally understood why she was the way she was and it makes sense but her wrath was pointed at Conner to much for me because I adored him. Conner was so protective over her and wanted to be her shield and she needed a safety net.

I'm rounding up.

First things first, do not read this book if you haven't read the two duets that come before it. I wish I had known that going in, but nowhere did it say that it isn't entirely standalone. There's a lot that happens in this book (and the next) that hinges on events and characters from the first four books that would have been helpful to know while reading this book.

In addition, this book just wasn't for me? I'm all for angst and drama and new adult situations, but this was just straight pure, unadulterated anger coming from these characters. They were angry all. the. time. Someone looked at them the wrong way and they were flying off the handle. It was a bit too much on the fury side and it was hard for me to read.

I appreciated the love that the two main characters had for each other. I absolutely did. They were really it for each other and had a lot of baggage that only they could get through together. They were sliiiiiiiightly toxic, but as is the subgenre, so I get it. But aside from that, this book was just, I don't know. It left me feeling icky, but not enough that I didn't want to continue on to the next and find out how it's all resolved.

Also, there are trigger warnings out the wazoo for this book, so tread lightly if you're not one for books involving rape, assault, or deceased/absent parents.

These Jagger boys are HOT, HOT, HOT. I’m a total sucker for a GOOD series and a BAD boy (or 3!), so the Rebels at Sterling Prep books have been right up my alley! While I loved Ace & Remi, absolutely nothing can top Cole & Hadley’s duet, where Conner was a key character. After getting a taste of his huge heart and cheeky antics, I was more than ready for this goofball to get the girl.

Torment Her is the first book in Conner and Kennedy’s duet and I could not put it down. It’s angsty and dark and chock full of the tantalizing banter, drama, and steamy scenes I’ve come to expect from Caitlyn Dare.

Conner and Kennedy were best friends growing up, but both were afraid to admit they wanted more. When Conner left his trailer park for a fancy new life, a broken hearted Kennedy stayed behind where things seemed to spiral from bad to worse. Months later, after a chance encounter at a New Year’s Eve party, Kennedy winds up on the Jagger’s doorstep and these two are given the chance to finally confront their feelings.

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about Kennedy. She’s been living a nightmare and she’s understandably hurting, but it doesn’t excuse all of her shenanigans. Of course, it wouldn’t be high school without some bad decisions and a few emotional rollercoasters, but Kennedy’s insecurities and her inability to open up caused a lot of conflict. She desperately wants Conner to fight for her, but her behavior leads to a lot of unnecessary push and pull. Is she willing to fight for him, too?

I’m going to give Kennedy a chance to redeem herself in the next book, but she’s not in my good graces right now. Caitlyn Dare has done a phenomenal job with character development thus far in the series, so I have a feeling little Miss Kennedy will come around. Conner may seem like an adorable jokester without a care in the world, but deep down he’s lonely and insecure. He feels like the “brother that always finishes last” and I hate that Kennedy’s behavior reinforced this belief. I’m hoping she can let her guard down and finally realize how much this boy loves her! Although I’m not ready for this series to end, I can’t wait to see what happens next. I am definitely pulling for these two crazy kids.

This is book 5 in the Rebels at Sterling Prep series and focuses on Connor Jagger and Kennedy Lowe. This is considered book 1 for Connors duet though,  which means that there is a cliff hanger. I recommend from starting at book 1 in this series if you want to understand the supporting characters and their environment. I was a little lost and it took awhile to start piecing things together and I still need to to back so I can have a full understanding of what happened prior.

Connor is intelligent, strong, stubborn, and definitely a hot-head. He's is also complicated. He seems to be the calmer brother out of the three of them and that's saying something, because he has quite the temper and aggression. He's really passionate and protective of the people he cares about. He's had a rough go at life and now he finally has his best friend back, or so he thinks.

Kennedy is broken. She's had traumatic events happen to her and has been living in hell. She's retreated into herself and is not the same fun, care-free girl she once was. Now she's angry, hurt, confused, lonely and down right lost. She doesn't feel she can trust anyone and lashes out at those attempting to get close to her.

Torment Her is a second chance, friends to lovers romance. The plot has a lot of angst and the author does a good job of writing it in a way that you can feel the emotions and frustrations that the characters are feeling. There's fear, resentment, hate, anger, hope and so much more going on. I look forward to Connor and Kennedy's conclusion.

*Note that there are triggers in this book.

I'm a fan of Caitlyn Dare, and despite any rage I may or may not have had with the Rebels At Sterling Prep series, I CANNOT get enough! Torment Her is Conner Jagger's story, and he's definitely different than his siblings, as he leans towards the sweet side (in no way am I saying that he's not alpha & intense when protecting those he loves). Kennedy was his best friend, and the girl who got away, but they come face to face again & all of his protective instincts go into overdrive as he tries to fix everything for her since she's very broken now. I LOVED me some Conner, and lawd knows that life wasn't kind to Kennedy, but I felt like she caused some unnecessary problems for herself to be honest. I did love how she never backed down to the mean girls which had me cheering her on, so I guess I'm conflicted when it comes to her. Luckily, this is the first book in their duet, so I'll get to see if she develops in the next book (and I'm dying inside from the cliffy by the way). And that's all from me so I'll just end with HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

I could not put this book down. Caitlyn Dare did a wonderful job on Torment Her, the plot was packed with so many emotions, the story was written well. Connor and Kennedy were strong characters, not a thing about their journey was easy, it was an emotional rollercoaster, their path will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat. I can not wait to read more of this story. This was a great story. I'd recommend reading it.
Thank you, Caitlyn Dare. Wonderful work :)

3.5 ⭐⭐⭐.
I just love childhood friends to lovers as much as enemies to lovers, okay maybe a tid bit less.
This one is a great story, but it hadn't the true passion I would think it should.

I could kick Conner's ass for his silly thoughts, but on the otherside Hadley pointed it out to him... So actually Hadley put those images in his head.
I guess I would feel the same as Kennedy regarding Hadley, but it all worked out to their favor.

I just knew it.. On to the last one!

Connor! I loved him! He was sweet and funny and I couldn’t help getting frustrated for him. He’s been through the ringer and continues to get swamped not just physically but mentally. Between his old life and his new. And when they collide everything goes haywire and just when he finally thinks he has it all figured out a bomb drops.

I rated this 3 stars.

This book took me forever to finish. Partially because I just didn't have time to actually read a book, but partially because Kennedy and Conner were really frustrating in this book.

I really liked Conner's character in his brother's books. He was so lighthearted and the life of the party. He was caring and protective. In his books, it was a whole different story. I assumed his story would be dark, simply because he was probably hiding his pain behind a smile.

I think the most frustrating thing about this duet was that it was essentially based on a major miscommunication and a subtle manipulation. The hate that Kennedy had towards Conner seemed SO unfounded that it was seriously frustrating. Then Conner's inability to deal with Kennedy's trauma and essentially pushing her away was ALSO so frustrating.

His brother's books felt like high-stakes stories, and this book just highlighted the ages of the main characters. Their reactions to events at age 16 and onward were 100% typical of someone their age. But in a sense, it felt wrong because they were not average 16-year-olds. Maybe it was because Ace was essentially the dad figure and only a year older, and Cole had a lifetime of hidden abuse that Conner was able to be more immature in his reasoning? I really don't know.

So, did I like this book? It was ok. I'm continuing to read it because I want answers.

Torment her is the fifth book in the Rebels at Sterling prep.. this is part one of Connors and Kennedy’s duet.
Back when we were at Aces story I fell in love with a Connor....he was always trying to bring laughter and silliness to Cole and Ace..
This story is so amazing .. it’s so much of Kennedy loving Connor but being afraid to give him her heart and Connor determined to win her for good .. he breaks down her walls and refuses to let go.. it made me love him so much..
I need the next book because it just has to end the way I want it to. It has to.. I loved this book so much..

"I need you to know that there has never been another girl for me."

Torment Here is the fifth installment in the Rebels series but the first book in Conner and Kennedy's duet. I really enjoyed their story. Kennedy and Conner served childhood best friends to lovers and second chance romance which is an absolute winner!

Kenny is our badass heroine. She is sassy and stubborn which is very off-putting to many people she meets but it's because she's been through hell and back. She can't help keeping people at arm's length at the risk of having them discovering the truth and abandoning her. She's always had to look out for herself and her strength and something I admire.

Conner is our sweet charming nice guy... at least that's what we think. Kennedy is the missing puzzle piece that brings him to life. He's unhinged and intriguing, let's not forget sexy and kinky, a completely different side than what we may expect from the previous books. A very pleasant surprise, no complaints are given ;)

In second-chance romance fashion, there are lies and misunderstandings but there is also forgiveness and love. Kenny has been broken and she is wary of giving her heart to Conner again but he's up for the challenge. He will do anything to convince Kennedy to give him a chance. He will do anything to protect her and provide for her. These two have such a rich and heartbreaking history. I rooted for them the whole way. Their sexual chemistry is HOTTT and their emotional connection is something special and out of this world. I'm so excited for their continuation and HEA in Temper Him.

P.S. I adored all the Cole and Hadley breadcrumbs. This pair still manages to be my favorite couple!! I literally devoured all the ColeHadley moments and committed them to memory. Seeing them appear or be mentioned had my heart racing. They're my babies. I know they'll reign supreme for me even though this series isn't completed yet. God, nothing compares to them. I adore them so much and seeing so many "new-ish" characters from the Heights has me squealing in delight because the spin-off is going to be delicious. Can't wait <3

I don't know how they do it, but every book in the Rebels At Sterling Prep series sucks me deeper and deeper into the world. Now it's Connor's turn and I have to say this was the one I had my doubts about, but I shouldn't because this was EVERYTHING. His childhood best friend comes back into his life on something of a bombshell and the whirlwind never really stops. This one really played with my tender emotions and I just want to cuddle Connor and Kennedy so tight and keep them safe. I am actually afraid of what's left to come. But I'm going to trust that these authors to get me there with minimal therapy needed afterward. I volunteered to read an early copy of this and all opinions are my own.

I love the fact that that Kennedy and Conner were childhood best friends . I am totally her for the best friends to lovers. An Kennedy is one strong girl! She went through so much crap and she came out on top. Then there is Conner and ugh not only did I wanna throat punch him at times but I also wanted to hug him. Although Cole is my favorite Jagger Conner still holds a special place in my heart. I just love him ! This story has so many twists and turns that you don’t see coming and I am totally here for it. Another 10/10 read for me. One that I couldn’t put down until I knew how it was gonna end.

Conner Jagger has never forgiven himself for letting the girl he loved slipped through his fingertips, Kennedy Lowe was his everything, and he just let another man waltz up and take her. He thought it was what she wanted, so he let her go.

But then she shows up on his doorstep battered and bruised and all he wants to do is save her and protect her from the danger that is lurking around her. And all she wants to do is get as far away from him as she can.

Torment Her is a gripping and heart-wrenching little page turner that will have your heart in throat one moment, and have you blushing the next. These two have been circling around one another for years now, both coming from troubled childhoods that bonded them, and spawned an instant friendship. But then as timed passed that friendship bordered on something more, then the moment passed in an instant. Kennedy moved on with someone else and Connor just had to let her go, cause he thought it was what she wanted. Somewhere along the line that fondness and care for one another started to turn to hate and distaste. But all it takes is one tragic moment to reconnect them, but it's not a happy little reunion, well for Kennedy anyway. She has an ax to grind with her old friend and she isn't letting him smooth talk his way back into her heart.

The push and pull between these two was unreal, just when I thought things were headed in a happy direction it would end up in another battle. These two want to love one another and be happy but old wounds keep getting in their way. Just when things start to settle between them that tragic past of Kennedy's rears it's ugliness all over again...but can they survive it a second time? I cannot wait to see how things play out for these two, especially after that ending! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's bound to keep you enthralled from beginning to end!

I requested this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Poor Connor

Caitlyn Dare you are an cliff hanger evil genius! Torment Her was the best freaking start to the story of Connor and K! I cannot wait til the 31st of December for book 2!!! 😲😲

Connor reunites with his best friend Kennedy and it's safe to say he was freaking in love with her but she was already spoken for by another mutual friend of theirs that was a complete douche canoe Aka Warren. But seeing K at the party again Connor just has to talk to her. And her unleashes the monster living in Warren.

Fast forward a few hours later and their friend Jay shows up with K on the door step of mansion broken and bleeding to get Connor's help. K wakes up confused not sure why she's in Connor's house and after being what she thinks abandoned by him and left all alone to be abused she doesn't want his help.

They continue to fight one another. He feels rejected by her. She feels rejected by him. They both have their issues. But the love they share is so freaking epic it's insane. When they come together it's so steamy and sweet and whoa.

The end is so heart breaking in so many different ways. I really really really cannot wait to see where book two will pick up and see what happens next. I'm so addicted to all the characters in this series. Thank you so much Caitlyn!!!!♥️♥️♥️

If you have not read this yet I implore you to start at the first book!!! They are AMAZING 🔥🔥

I wanted to love this book bc I always like Conner's character. He always supplied the comic relief. But Kennedy is the one who ruined the book for me. I thought I couldn't stand Remi but Kennedy took the cake.

She was unnecessary angry and bitchy for no damn reason and needed to stop blaming others for her own misery. She complained that after Conner took her virginity months before that she wanted more but never said anything. Then used their friend Warren to make him jealous but Conner stepped aside to let them be together but is upset about it and feels betrayed bc "he didn't want her"? What in the actual fuck?! I understand these are teenagers but no one can be that stupid. Then she's blaming him for moving and claims he never reached out when he did. Then complains that this Warren person was abusive so it's Conner's fault?! Then she's super rude to everyone when they're trying to help her. Then runs off being bitchy bc she doesn't want to talk about anything that she needs to. Lord!!!! Then she does everything to push Conner away.... ignoring him etc then complains when he finally stops trying. She wants the immature cat and mouse game. She is her own misery and wished they paired Conner with someone better. And Hadley has become the new Remi which is the annoying always in someone else's business behavior.

In this first part of Conner and Kenny’s story, the alpha possessiveness that the Jagger boys so rightfully offer is off the charts!?

When Conner is faced with his past, he encounters demons that only he can overcome with the help from his best friend, Kennedy, in this frenemies-to-lovers romance. While Kennedy is a strong character, her will and resolve are just as much tested, which only challenges her undeniable connection to Conner. Conner is all-consuming, and the most intuitive of the bunch. However, Kenny is broken and struggles to rebuild herself. But fate quickly pushes their attachment into a game of do or don’t.

What they say is true, it’s the quiet ones you need to watch out for...prepare to be consumed by Conner! Can’t wait to see how this duet story ends in Temper Him!

If you like angsty, dark bully romances, then Torment Her is book #5 out of six from the highly-rated Rebels at Sterling Prep Series.

This rating was given for continued world-building characters that deliver intense passion and unrelenting alpha-hotness!

**Trigger Warning: Rape, abuse, and other dark events are evident in this book.**

If you have read the first four books in this series, you already know Conner and his playfulness. However, will it take the one girl he has loved forever to bring the dark side out of him? If you love a friend-to-semi-enemies-to-lovers romance, this is the book for you. When a Jagger wants something, he gets it and when they love, they love hard and fierce. So, if that is the type of story you love, then dive into this series and meet the Jagger Brothers. They are sure to be your next book boyfriend!!

To be in love with your best friend but hold your feelings in and watch that person with someone else, has got to be the hardest thing for some. Conner has been in love with Kennedy forever, but never acted on his feelings and let her go to another man. Was that the right thing to do? When Kennedy ends up on his doorstep bloodied and beaten, he finds out the answer.

Kennedy is not the same girl Conner left behind and he doesn't understand why she doesn't want him around her. Kennedy holds her secrets close about what happened to her, but when Conner finds out, will it change everything between them? Will their feelings and history be enough to save them? Let's also not forget about the person who did the unthinkable to Kennedy. What happens when Conner finally does get his revenge? More to come in book two – Temper Him, December 31, 2020!

It's Conner's turn!!

This is book 5 in the Rebels at Sterling Prep and while it's not necessary to read books 1-4 first, I suggest you do because it will give you some background to the characters in this book. Book one and two follow Ace and Remi, book three and four follow Cole and Hadley and this book as well as book six follow Conner and Kennedy.

Conner and Kennedy were best friends pretty much their whole lives. When Conner moved to his father's house in a ritzy neighborhood they kind of parted ways because they both assumed the other didn't feel the same way they did. But when a mutual friend brings Kennedy to Conner's door beat up and bloody, Conner freaks out. This book is so intriguing and it just sucks you right into their story. It does leave you with a cliffhanger, so be ready for that. This is a great read and I'm looking forward to book six, Temper Him to see if Conner and Kennedy can get their HEA.

1. I swear, if I hear the term, "find your foot" (four times)or "lost puppy" (3 times) one more time. And 2, If there's one thing I can't stand in a book, it's the Miscommunication trope. This one was riddled with it. Nothing about Connor and Kennedy's story made sense. This is one selfish lot of brothers. While I get they've been thru hell in their previous life, there's no understanding on their past as to what their girl's have been thru. They keep hurting and hurting them. You're meant to believe or feel as though they're troubled young men that feel so much and love so much, they maybe make some mistakes when it comes to relationships. That's not really the case. They aren't broody or moody. They're selfish assholes. "Connor needs time". WTF?!? "CONNOR" needs time?? HE needs to deal with what happened to Kennedy?? This one was a bunch of BS!! OMG THE CLIFFHANGER (face palm). I'm going to read Temper Him to finish this, but I'm NOT liking this!!
