“We might.” I take Finn’s arm. I adjust Finn’s tie so it’s at least straight. “It seemed a lot safer if we were chaperoned by a whole bunch of lawyers, potential clients, and wiser people questioning our dating life.”
The man laughs. “I like her. You should hold on to her.”

Wow. I loved this. But, before I review I just want to reiterate how hard novellas can be to be truly engaging and able to make the most of a small word count. Kathy Strobos has done an absolutely incredible job of building a full whirlwind romance into such a small page count, and I strongly disagree with anybody who believes otherwise!
I love that this is a stand-alone, but works well alongside Caper Crush, Kathy’s newest release. There is a cross over of characters, which I thought was super cool, and it stayed in the art theme. Kathy writes so passionately about art within these two books, that it makes me wish I had an artistic streak!
The plot was incredible, with the art scavenger hunt, the whirlwind romance, the exes. I fell in love with the characters and I’m so stunned I managed to develop such strong emotions for them in the shortness of this novella. Bravo Kathy on another incredible book!

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is also the fourth book in the 'New York Friendship' series.
This novel consists of 10 chapters. The chapters are short in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!
LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOOVVVEEE , LOVED IT!!! A HUGE WELL DONE KATHY ON AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC NOVELLA ♥!!!
I absolutely adored this short and sweet novella!! It may be the first book I have read by Kathy but it most certainly won't be my last. The storyline itself is romantically charged and filled with love, friendship, art , comedy, romance, fun and absolutely everything you could want in an absolutely adorable book!!! The storyline is unique and I absolutely loved the idea of a scavenger hunt!!! I have never really been interested in art but I had a fun time googling all the different pieces of work that Kiara and Finn discovered while hunting for their clues and taking selfies. I also thought it was a fantastic idea that Kathy included the scavenger hunt clues and answers at the back of the book so readers can enjoy the hints and clues!! Although this is the fourth book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader. It made me laugh, scream, shout, angry, jump for joy and have lots of fun googling all the different pieces of Art!! Along the way there are tears, happiness, disasters, secrets, romance, friendship and sparks flying everywhere!! Kathy's evocative writing skills brings the story life and one minute your chilling at home with the book in your hand and the next you've been sucked straight into the storyline walking around the gallery and having a drink with Kiara and Finn. This book had me in stitches on several occasions and at other times left me sitting there going shouting at a certain person and getting some very strange looks!! There was plenty going on and I absolutely loved every moment of it. The storyline is unique and I think it is such a fantastic plot I really would love to see this turned into a movie!! I would be the first barging their way in front to get tickets!! There were so many large and unique personalities in this book and thanks to Kathy's amazing writing skills each and every one of them came alive. relationship between them regardless of the lack of support from !! I absolutely LOVED watching all the separate relationships develop and change between the characters and I would love to see where each goes and what they get up to next along with hoping to meet them in the previous books in this series! This is a novella so I completely devoured it in a couple of hours and it was a great escape from reality!!! This book was filled with a lovely range of characters and I would absolutely love to meet them all again!! Hint hint Kathy 😉 Regardless of whether you love or hate the characters they all worked perfectly together to make an absolutely gorgeous storyline so a huge WELL done to Kathy for bringing them to life!! I read the blurbs of the previous books in this series as well as the first chapters (included at the back of this book) and I cannot wait to get stuck in to them!!

I also thought it was a fantastic idea that Kathy included the scavenger hunt clues and answers at the back of the book so readers can enjoy the hints and clues!! Although this is the fourth book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader. It made me laugh, scream, shout, angry, jump for joy and have lots of fun googling all the different pieces of Art!! Along the way there are tears, happiness, disasters, secrets, romance, friendship and sparks flying everywhere!! Kathy's evocative writing skills brings the story life and one minute your chilling at home with the book in your hand and the next you've been sucked straight into the storyline walking around the gallery and having a drink with Kiara and Finn. This book had me in stitches on several occasions and at other times left me sitting there going shouting at a certain person and getting some very strange looks!! There was plenty going on and I absolutely loved every moment of it. The storyline is unique and I think it is such a fantastic plot I really would love to see this turned into a movie!! I would be the first barging their way in front to get tickets!! There were so many large and unique personalities in this book and thanks to Kathy's amazing writing skills each and every one of them came alive. relationship between them regardless of the lack of support from !! I absolutely LOVED watching all the separate relationships develop and change between the characters and I would love to see where each goes and what they get up to next along with hoping to meet them in the previous books in this series! This is a novella so I completely devoured it in a couple of hours and it was a great escape from reality!!! This book was filled with a lovely range of characters and I would absolutely love to meet them all again!! Hint hint Kathy 😉 Regardless of whether you love or hate the characters they all worked perfectly together to make an absolutely gorgeous storyline so a huge WELL done to Kathy for bringing them to life!! I read the blurbs of the previous books in this series as well as the first chapters (included at the back of this book) and I cannot wait to get stuck in to them!!

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is also the fourth book in the 'New York Friendship' series.
This novel consists of 10 chapters. The chapters are short in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

I absolutely adored this short and sweet novella!! It may be the first book I have read by Kathy but it most certainly won't be my last. The storyline itself is romantically charged and filled with love, friendship, art , comedy, romance, fun and absolutely everything you could want in an absolutely adorable book!!! The storyline is unique and I absolutely loved the idea of a scavenger hunt!!! Do you like/love Sophie Kinsela? If so, the A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts is the PERFECT read for you! No sure I need to say more. I LOVED this novella. The characters were funny, endearing, and just the best!
I started this book when I really had no time to read it. Yet I found myself trying to find time to sneak in a few pages. I finished it by reading it by the light of a TV.
I really hope Kathy brings these characters back in some way. If not in their own book then as characters in another one of her books.
This is a must read for those of us who love chick lit!

Loved it! I have really come to enjoy Kathy Strobos’ work. After reading Partner Pursuit, I sought out her other titles because her books make you feel good. The characters are smart and sweet, and the couples dialogue is melty. Is that a word?
I’m recently single and have found reading her books gives me hope for the future and even gave me the courage to talk to my crush. Which went quite well, actually…;)

Aw, I do love Kathy’s books, they are always so sweet! This one has too few pages though!! And to write a book so short, to make you care about the characters is hard, but she definitely succeeds here!
I adored Kiara, she had a rough opening and then the Scavenger hunt! What a great opening, and a great way to meet someone, and in this case Finn. Dreamy lawyer Finn! I knew I would like him straight away, mainly because I love his name LOL.
In these few pages, we saw a relationship blossom and I do hope we get to see it grow. Two tentative lost people finding love together, what more could you want!!
As I say, I adore Kathy’s writing and her characters. She writes them with so much care and love, that you can’t help falling in love with them! Roll on the next book!

I love this book! It is a lovely, sweet romance with adorable characters, a lot of humour, and a delightful scavenger hunt. I learned quite a lot about art!

The story
Kiara is off to a scavenger hunt party at the Museum of Modern Art. She is a full time artist and painter living in Manhattan. When she arrives, she realises you need a partner, and spots a man dressed as Rembrandt, and asks him whether he will partner with her. Finn is a reserved lawyer, and is there with his brother, a well-known writer. When Kiara spots her ex who recently ghosted her, Finn steps in and pretends that is there with Kiara. The ruse spirals and soon Finn’s brother thinks they know each other too. It may just become true!
My thoughts
I adore Kathy Strobos’ other stories and this novella with mutual friends from her earlier stories is a perfectly formed nugget. It’s the perfect meeting of two kindred and kind souls, who very soon just “get” each other. My favourite scene is when Kiara makes a painting of their meeting to share with Finn, and unknowingly, he has made a photo book from their night at the scavenger hunt. Total swoon ❤️

A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts is a standalone novella that accompanies the New York Friendship series. I have listened to a couple of Ms. Strobos books and LOVE her writing. This little gem was right up there with the rest. While this may be short, it is chocked full of loveable characters, a scavenger hunt with a sexy stranger through the MOMA, and a great tie-in with the folks from the NY Friendship series of books. This is a fantastic addition that you shouldn't miss.
Narration by an author (unless it's a narrator who decided to crossover) isn't usually my thing. However, Kathy Strobos did a great job with this story. I'm normally a 1.0x listener, and I actually was tempted to slow this one down. But I'm from the south, and we like it slower...so if a faster pace is what you like, this will be your 5 star listen!

This is a novella that packs in a lot. Wonderfully written to build suspense at key moments - there is definitely a will they won’t they vibe. Kiara and Finn have a lot going for them but there’s a lot coming between them too and I couldn’t help but get invested in their potential future.
Both characters are well written. Kiara has that loveable caution about her while Finn has something of a more stand offish charm. He comes across as a bit evasive to start but then little actions through the story surprise us and he really grew on me.
I love a good romance and this was one - it was easy to read and enjoyable. Perfect for my end of term tired brain it was just the book I needed to relax at the end of a long day.
I look forward to reading some of Kathy’s other books over the summer.

I found this a quick and easy read. Kiara is an artist who has been dumped by text. Her painting is suffering and with her friends Winnie and Audrey she goes to a scavenger hunt in an art gallery. Kiara finds herself paired up with Finn. There is an attraction but can she give love a second chance? This was straight to the point with some likeable characters. Lots of references to various pieces of art and artists but I thought the main points of the story were friendship, forgiveness and finding love.

This one was quite cute. My first book by this author but definitely not the last. I knew it was a novella when I started it but I was a bit sad by the end that there wasn't more. I liked the characters and would have like to have a full book with them. It was well written, and the scavenger hunt was quite interesting, even for someone like me who is not into modern art.
And the author knew when to stop with the hunt and add more to the plot. So overall it was well rounded and entertaining and made me want to read more books by the author.

This was such a fun read and so cute . I've read several books by Strobos before and have found them all to be enjoyable and entertaining.
I love the whole concept of the scavenger hunt, although I'm not sure whether dressing up like a character from Beauty and the Beast would be my thing.
Being a novella size read meant the book was relatively short, which was a shame and had short easy to read chapters, I read it in one hit before going to sleep.
The characters were a whole lot of fun and all have their own personality traits, which made the book have several laugh out loud moments.

A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts is a short and cute read about two people who were rejected by their partners and slowly fall in love after discovering they have a lot in common, are both workaholics, love art, and expect people to behave in a just and open way. Heartwarming and recommended for those who enjoy reading fun and clean romance stories.

Although this was a short story, it still captured alot of feeling. I was absolutely rooting for Kiara and Finn. I think they clearly needed each other and the timing was perfect.
I'm not going to lie I no absolutely nothing about art, so I did end up looking up alot of the artists so I could understand it all a bit better. No shame 😂

This was a cute novella. Kiara asks a guy to be her partner for the scavenger hunt at the Museum of Modern Art and it slowly turns into more than just a hunt for art. This novella was a refreshing read, it was short which I generally don't like with romances, but Kathy Strobos made it work! I would definitely recommend reading.

First I would like to start off by saying I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Kathy Strobos at the Brooklyn Book Festival and she is amazing! A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts is such a cute, quick, and fun read! It’s so warm! I loved the characters and I was really sad when it ended. I rated it a 5/5 stars and I 100% recommend!

Kathy Strobos is the one who got me into reading novellas. This book is awesome. I love scavenger hunts, and I LOVED this sassy, unassuming FMC of hers (Kiara). I also felt like I was learning as I went, because the scavenger hunt takes place in the MOMA in NYC, and Kathy very clearly knows her stuff. I knew I was in good hands!

The narration was a little difficult for me since the voices for different characters were not distinctive enough. Sometimes it was a struggle to figure out which character was speaking at the time. I did enjoy getting to know Kiara and I enjoyed the scavenger hunt. I thought it was a cute way to meet someone new. The story ended with some good potential for a new relationship.

I honestly finished this so fast... in a good way! This novella wasn't terribly cheesy, and it gave it a more real feeling. I adored that there was a feeling of connection but also an understanding of also being enough by yourself. If you want a quick, cute romance... this is for you!
