Honestly… Again another author who doesn’t add a safe word in a D/s relationship. I’M GETTING TIRED HERE PEOPLE… Cannon runs a freaking kink club and doesn’t offer her a fucking safe words during the scenes.
Disappointing.
Wanna know what’s more disappointing? Telling her there is no safe word for that scene. I don’t care how dark your book is… IT. IS. NOT. A. SAFE. REPRESENTATION. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Also, I honestly believe Kylie doesn’t truly love Cannon. I personally think he could do better. I felt like, she couldn’t care less about him and she only started to show her feelings when his ex came back. I felt like she didn’t want him, but didn’t want anyone else to have him.
I have not read a SINGLE thing that she did to show him she loves him. HE was always the one to show her. Never Kylie. Which is super sad, because Cannon would do anything for her, but if it was reversed, I don’t think Kylie would. She’s also super immature and her character lacked depth.
Also, the storyline is super weird???? I felt like the author just wanted to throw stuff without it making any sense? I don’t think the story was plot… if it was, it was inconsistent!
So, I don’t think the author did a good job representing the kink community AND the author wasn’t able to convince me the MCs were in love (well, Cannon was for sure… Kylie? I think down the road she’ll end up like her mother)

Cannon is a snack. He falls hard for Kylie and he wants her bad. She is the one that turns him away and doesn’t want a relationship with anyone. Her plan in life is to remain single and to never fall in love. This might be my favorite Bachman book yet. It didn't make me cry; it didn't even make me laugh out loud (although nonna did make me chuckle). So...why five stars? Because this was such a feel good story. And yeah - aptly named because ... lots of fire. This is Cannon Bachman's story so we're back in Italy. Cannon is one of Liam's (Vow To The King) brothers. Of all the brothers we met in that first book, I was surprised Cannon was the one Handel chose to right about next.
Cannon was ... the loose cannon lol! The brother who owned and ran the exclusive kink club called Fire. It was his baby and he loved running it and he loved the kink. He indulged often, with a different woman every night and expected them to be gone by morning...hopefully before he woke. He never wants to marry. He loves his life....until Kylie Barrone. She's a sweet, loving and innocent young woman who takes care of her nonna (grandmother). She's taken a new, well paid job as the Accardi's (another mafia family's) housekeeper. She hopes to earn enough money to buy herself out of the trouble and danger her uncle's misdeeds have put her in, as well as gain the Accardi's protection. But the end of her first day has her performing one more task for Antonio Accardi ... entering Fire with a stolen guest key to deliver a package to a guest inside. Fearing it might contain an illegal substance (no drugs allowed in Fire) she wonders if she put her trust in the wrong family.
Yes, she gets caught and is interrogated by Cannon ... in his unique way ... which awakens something in Kylie. But she also stirs something in Cannon. This is ultimately a story of two people who, for very different reasons, fear being hurt so have avoided relationships. One indulges himself with multiple women, avoiding connections or involvements. The other puts her life in stasis; has no friends, never goes out, living a quiet life taking care of, and spending her evenings with, her nonna (grandmother). But things are going to change big time for both when these two meet.
I love that Cannon, the confirmed bachelor, fell first. I love how he goes back and forth between the dominant and the man who wants to let her soar as he tries to win her. The things he does, and the lengths to which he goes are priceless, as is watching Kylie bloom and explore. Another surprise is Antonio. If you read Vow To A King you know Antonio, brother to Liam's wife Emelia was not nice. He did a bad thing and was ultimately punished for it. But we begin to see a different Antonio in this one. I actually started feeling sorry for him in this one and now I hope Shanna Handel writes his story, even though technically he's not a Bachman. And I can't forget nonna. She's a pistol and I want to be her when I grow old!

Immature and definitely NOT Dark Mafia
This book is extremely immature. I could not even make it through a single chapter without skipping ahead. Finally, I gave up and could not even finish the book. There is no character build outside of Kylie being excited to clean and organize everything. She a virgin, who has never even kissed anyone and suddenly wants to try everything with anyone in a kink club. Cannon lost a love 10 years ago that ruined his chances for any future love. To fall in love with Kylie in one night. Also, to find he had a one night stand with his old love that had ruined him and he didn’t even recognize her. Not really sure where the ‘Dark’ is supposed to be…the fact that her uncle got hung up on drugs and that’s how Kylie got involved in the first place? It was a big stretch.

I RARELY ever give below 3 stars and I’m not sure why this book has a high rating but okay. It was suppose to have a mafia background but literally nothing mafia related happened. This was super boring and I wish I DNF’d it but I just kept hoping it would get better but it didn’t. Being done with this book was the best part.

The story is an excellent addition to the Bachman sagas. This story takes place in Italy, and the two main characters are Cannon Bachman, owner of Fire, the hottest BDSM club, and Kylie Barone. They will be brought together under unusual circumstances and by an unlikely source. Kylie needs help, something that will take a powerful man to give her the protection she needs. But she will go from the frying pan into the Fire and, in the process, open ‘Pandora’s Box.’
Kylie is caught in the crosshairs of the Meralos family, especially Mad Max Meralo, who is demanding she pay a debt that doesn’t belong to her—but one she must keep from Nonna. Thinking she can make enough money; she will take on the task of cleaning for the Accardi family and possibly gain their help. But it will take someone more powerful than the Accardi to help her—and then Antonio sends Kylie on a mission to deliver a package to Fire, knowing Cannon will catch her.
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil in people. It will have Kylie trying to protect her Nonna, doing what is right, and dealing with a problem. For Antonio to send Kylie to Fire and her to encounter Cannon and beg for a job comes with surprises and stipulations. Kylie is naïve and innocent, and Cannon will open her eyes to all that is found at Fire. Once Kylie has experienced sex, she wants more, but Cannon refuses to allow it—stopping scenes before they can be completed. How far will he go to stop her from being with anyone else? How far is he willing to go to keep her all to himself? Kylie feels she is indebted to Cannon for giving her a job and safety for herself and Nonna. But for how long and at what cost?
Kylie: What if—we just play pretend for a bit? Ease into it. Take this trip of yours. And pretend.

The story has plenty of angst and passion. The chemistry between pours off the pages. It is always fun to see how the Bachman’s handle whatever comes their way. It was fun seeing the private Bachman ceremony. While the story is part of an ongoing saga, it will read well as a stand-alone. There is power exchange with discipline, and explicit scenes, including in a BDSM club setting and voyeurism.
“Everything you need, love, happiness, work, it’s all right here. You’ve been blessed, my child.”

This is Bachman book but didn't feel like a Bachman book. Did I like the story? Yes. Did I not like some parts? Yes. Were the side characters amazing and funny and just made the book? Definitely!
This is Cannon and Kylie's story. Cannon owns the hottest sex club in Europe or according to him possibly the world. Kylie is a virginal homebody who takes care of her Nonna. Kylie's uncle gets into some serious trouble and the men who he owes come after Kylie. So, she gets a job to clean the house of the Accardi's. She really really loves to clean and I really enjoyed this characteristic, it is just so different. She is sent on an errand for Antonio (who actually has a different side in this book, much liked side) and gets caught by Cannon and asks for a job, a cleaning job. He is intrigued and so the relationship begins. She needs to be punished Bachman style and he finds out during this that she has never even been kissed and I think that is when he gets obsessed. He finds out more about her and who she is in trouble with and moves her and her Nonna to his property. Nonna is a hoot and is the life of the party once she starts living again away from Kylie, the bodyguards are great, Kylie's friends at the club are great.
Now it touches on Bachman books with a quick trip to one of the Bachman properties but then is where I had a problem with the book. The Bachman's have always been private but Kylie is just ticking off the properties New York, Greece like it is a known fact. Think the Bachman's might want to pull it back a notch. Got a change to see some old Bachman characters from the first Shanna book I read. That was nice.
I think I had a hard time connecting to Kylie in this book. Just from one extreme to another. It just seemed sudden. Cannon was fine and I enjoyed the side story with the blonde from when he first met Kylie. That was interesting but resolved very quickly and it felt a bit off.
Now I wait for the next story in the series with these brothers in Italy. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy to give a honest review.

A captivating read, great characters and wonderful plot that holds you till final page
This was a simply wonderful read and it told the complex and extremely enjoyable story of two main characters Cannon and Kylie, these both meet whilst they are at the Cannon Bachman kink club.
As any previous readers of the Bachman and their women they all belong to a family that are not connected by birth but by the oath they take to the Bachman family and the responsibilities and loyalties this holds them to from that moment until the day they depart which is when they die.
Kylie works at the local pharmacy totally unaware that her uncle owes a large amount of money to the Bachman’s and his solution is for her to begin working for the Accardi family as their housekeeper, she is asked to deliver a package to Cannons Club called “Fire”, fortunately she has suspicion and decides to dispose of the parcel and asks at the club if there are any cleaning openings.
When she begins at the club “Fire” she meets Cannon and there is a very apparent chemistry between them and I guarantee that as you see this story begin to open and the chemistry grows you will not be able to put the book down till you reach the end.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Mafia Fire is the second book set within the darker mafia Bachman series. Kylie is desperate to get protection, and when she captures Cannon’s attention at Fire, she begs for a job. Cannon doesn’t mess around with his employees, but he can’t resist Kylie. As she’s awakened to all sorts of passion, will he convince her to give a relationship a try, or will he use his Bachman ways to get what he wants?
This was a great book! Kylie and Cannon had this amazing chemistry right from their very first meeting and I loved all of the ways that he honored her wishes, while she eventually gave all of herself over to him. I loved that neither one of them really wanted to pursue a relationship, and Kylie was trying her best to protect her heart, but Cannon had to smash through all of her resistance (and his own) to figure out what his heart wanted. Kylie was so brave. She put on this fantastic front of everything being okay, but had the weight of the world on her shoulders. I loved that she could give that to Cannon and trust him to protect her. I also loved her curiosity and the ways she craved more. Cannon was protective and possessive, and I loved that once he made his choice, he was all in! They had some truly steamy scenes all because their connection just seemed so strong, so I really enjoyed them together. I also really loved a lot of the side characters! I thought this was a great book! The mafia elements are pretty light, but their relationship takes a bit of a darker, more sensual nature. I am loving this new side series of the Bachman’s and can’t wait to read more!

I can’t get enough of anything related to the Bachmans, and Mafia Fire
lived up to all of my expectations. What a pickle sweet innocent Kylie
Barone found herself in when she came to the attention of Cannon
Bachman after she applied for a job at Fire, his BDSM club. He knew
there was more to Kylie's story, and he was determined to find out the
truth. Kylie was being made to pay for the sins of her uncle. She would
do anything to protect her noona, and Cannon would, in turn, protect
both of them. Cannon broke his rule of not becoming involved with staff
after Kylie wormed her way under his skin. Once Kylie discovered the joys
of sex with Cannon, she was hooked. She was determined to sample all
that was offered at Fire, but Cannon single-mindedly sabotaged Kylie's
efforts forcing her attention back to him and him only.
I loved the relationship between Noona and Booker. Noona was a hoot with
her love for gambling. Kylie may have been innocent and naīve initially, but
that went out the window after experiencing mind-blowing sex with Cannon.
I admired how protective Cannon was and the lengths he went to protect not
only Kylie but noona as well. I loved this mafia-themed romance with its touches of magic. A highly entertaining read.

Ugh. I hate not giving this 5 stars because I absolutely live all of Shanna's books but this one....this one didn't hit the mark for me. Just personal opinion. I absolutely loved Cannon. He was not afraid to go after what he wanted. I just couldn't connect with Kylie. Sweet, innocent, kind-hearted, virginal Kylie. After getting into some trouble, not her fault, she ends up on Cannons radar. When she has her first səxůal experience it's like she turns into an all out sëx fiend. Not to mention a virgin constantly referring to her lady bits as pu$$y. I don't know. I think that was the only part that irritated me. I understand that it can happen to people after their first time and they have this whole $€xual awakening but this was a little above and beyond. From virgin to wanting all eyes on her during the act was all she thought about.
Overall I did enjoy the story but to label it as suspense as well...there really wasn't any. Again, I loved Cannon and was happy for him. It was also really nice to see a different side to Antonio because I never thought he could possibly be redeemed! Still...this book is worth the read.

He was not afraid to go after what he wanted. I just couldn't connect with Kylie. Sweet, innocent, kind-hearted, virginal Kylie. After getting into some trouble, not her fault, she ends up on Cannons radar. When she has her first səxůal experience it's like she turns into an all out sëx fiend. Not to mention a virgin constantly referring to her lady bits as pu$$y. I don't know. I think that was the only part that irritated me. I understand that it can happen to people after their first time and they have this whole $€xual awakening but this was a little above and beyond. From virgin to wanting all eyes on her during the act was all she thought about.
Overall I did enjoy the story but to label it as suspense as well...there really wasn't any. Again, I loved Cannon and was happy for him. It was also really nice to see a different side to Antonio because I never thought he could possibly be redeemed! Still...this book is worth the read.

Shanna Handel may just be my go-to author when it comes to romance, spice, and overall well-written books! This book is a part of a series, I highly recommend reading her book before this to understand which characters pop in and interact from previous books. Shanna Handel has brought the heat with this book and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of reading this. I love Kylie and the character she is. In the beginning, she is very innocent and just looking for some protection from some bad men. After meeting Cannon she becomes a live firecracker. She is just so amazing and grows into her new personality well. Cannon is such a book boyfriend. He knows he needs Kylie in his life and goes straight into Alpha mode with her. I love the way he protects her and cherishes every moment with her. The spice in this book is 3.5/5 stars. The scenes from their very first meeting are just so good! 🥵🥵🥵 They say the first impressions are the most memorable and their first meeting definitely was one to remember! If you have not already been drawn deeper into Shanna Handel's world I highly recommend picking up her books!

I am never disappointed with a Bachman story by Shanna Handel.
Awesome love, protection and fire that brings this story to a happily ever after. Shanna shows so many facets of a Bachman man and their desire to protect the one they love. Cannon had decided that he didn’t want to fall in love ever again, but his destiny was a little virgin woman who was looking for protection and love for her Nonna. Kylie was a good girl trying to protect her grandmother from learning the truth about her son. Her mom walked out on Kylie and her mom giving Kylie doubts about relationships and love. A man who lost his hand due to his greed and mistreatment of his sister helped her by sending her to the kink club Fire. So many wonderful things happened to Kylie and her grandmother and she found true love and a man dedicated to protecting her for life. Beautiful story that you must read. All of Shanna’s book are awesome and you can’t put them down. I just wish the story was a little longer but it is well worth reading.

What an interesting and thought provoking story Ms. Handel has written this time. It’s a new Bachman story featuring Cannon (the owner of the kink club Fire) and Kylie (a naïve young sweetie) first brought together by Cannon’s sworn enemy Antonio Accardi. Though they start off as adversaries, Cannon’s intriguing (and very effective) interrogation technique takes their relationship in a whole new direction. Throughout the story people and situations are not always what they seem, there are plot surprises galore. With a Bachman story you can always count on a lot of erotic sex, stern (yet loving) discipline and romance and this is no exception. This time the romance is so endearingly sweet that it will bring real tears to your eyes. One of my favorite Bachman stories to date and one I’m sure all fans of spanking romances will enjoy. 5 Stars

Kylie is mousy at first, but watching her come into her own is a thing of beauty. Cannon is hard and still nursing a broken heart, until he discovers that was just a defense mechanism, and he has been waiting his whole life for Kylie. Add in Nonna and a villain named Mad Max, and the story has it all. This is definitely a five star read and quite worth the one click.

Ms. Handel another great Bachman addition. This can be read as a stand-alone but I do recommend reading Vow To The King because you are introduced to Cannon. Cannon is a brother to Liam that is the main character in The King. After reading his brother's book I needed to know more about Cannon and oh do you get to know him on a personal level in this book. This man gave me chills and you will understand how when you read this book. Then add in his connection or obsession with Kylie and you do have a great book. I adored Kylie and I hated what she went through but I also admired her strength. These two were great together. Adding Kylie's grandma into the mix truly made this book wonderful. I look forward to Charlie's book.

This is Cannon and Kylie’s story. Cannon Bachman owns the local kink club. Kylie works at the local pharmacy but is being threatened by another mafia family because her Uncle owes them money. She decides to try and work for the Accardi family as a housekeeper. Antonio Accardi has an errand for her. It involves delivering a package to Cannons club, Fire. However, she decides to ditch the package and ask for a job cleaning at the club. She meets Cannon and the chemistry is immediate. As with all of Shanna’s books, you are drawn into the landscape and countryside. This story has some good twists and turns that you aren’t expecting. As with all Bachman books, there is discipline and hot sex. I’m reviewing after reading an ARC. If you’re a fan of Shanna’s Bachman family, you’ll love this one!

I loved this latest story by Shanna Handel. I couldn't put it down. I loved seeing Cannon find his love in Kylie. I love reading about the Bachmans and I can't wait for the next story.

I liked the story and was extremely happy to catch up with Bronson and Paige and their children, the best couple of them all. This new couple, Cannon and Kylie, were a bit off. Cannon sleeps with a different woman every night and Kylie was a virgin. After losing her virginity to Cannon, in a matter of days, Kylie seems to turn into a sex starved ninny who wants to experience all the different kink rooms found in Cannon’s club with different men. Stereotypically, Cannon turns alpha and possessive and the virgin, he declares, belongs to him.
Cannon did an about face and I questioned how long his sincerity would last. Same thing for Kylie, will she abandon her sexual curiosity and stick to one man? I wasn’t convinced. Time to take this series in a different, fresh direction.

Fire! I have loved the pun of Cannon Bachman owning a club called "Fire" since I first read the words. Bonus that it's a kink club. Cannon and Kylies story feels a bit disjointed at times with the characters revealing things you didn't quite see coming. It's good that it's unpredictable but startling personal beliefs im not sure their background defends adequately. I am a huge fan of how possessive Cannon is of Kylie and that redeems it for me. I liked Kylie a lot tho I'm not sure I understand her, she's very likable, not all the Beauties have been likable lol I am eagerly anticipating Charlie's story. Finally!

This book was a lot better than the very 1st of the series canon and kyile a lot to learn about each other . Kylie has been looking for protection so she wount end like her other family members ,but when she takes a job from cannon the one who runs fire the link club the only way to get protection from is to work there the only problem is that she didn't except to work for a hottie cannon has always been able to read people,but when Keisha show up at his club he sees the good in her that needs to save her .These two show each other what the other one needs most love ,and protection and family . I can't wait to read the next one in this series.

Good Book
This is book 2 of the series and must be read in order so you understand all the characters and where they fit in.
I have to be honest about these books and say I liked Cannon & Kylie more than Liam & Emilia, that’s just my preference.
I will say if you’re looking for a gritty mafia series then this is t the books for you, they talk about mafia stuff and their mafia family but no murder or torture or kidnapping etc.
These are more about the alpha men finding their women and it’s the side of their relationships we see.
I have enjoyed these books though and I can’t wait for Charlie & The Beast.

Mafia Fire was a great story, the plot was written well, it's filled with many emotions, it's dark, Shanna Handel did a great job on the book. Cannon and Kylie were both strong characters, their journey wasn't the easiest, they had to go through many obstacles, they had their ups and downs but they were good together, they were drawn to each other, the connection's strong, their chemistry was steamy, they were made for each other.
I enjoyed this book, I'd suggest reading it.

Kylie and Cannon, Nonna and Booker and Carlos...and don't get me started on Antonio!!!! He was an absolute surprise!!!!!
As with our Bachman's we get protection, dedication, family and all the spice we love. Kylie is a beautiful addition to the family and Cannon is a strong Bachman who knows what needs to be done.
I am BEYOND excited for the little juicy morsel we get at the end about Charlie...I have been dying for her story for years!!!!

I loved Cannon. He is one of my favorites in this series. He meets Kylie when she attempts to bring a package into his club because her new boss made her. She begs him for a job and eventually explains how she is in trouble with the mafia because of her uncle's substance abuse. Kylie is sweet and caring. I love that she cares for her grandmother and how her grandmother becomes a part of their community. The total behavioral change of Kylie was unrealistic but I will accept it because I love Cannon so much.

I was conflicted with the first story of Emilia and Liam but tried the second story. I had to skim this one. It's really hard to suspend belief to get through it. The Bachman Brotherhood is like Jeffrey Epstein and what went on with him and his people. Very creepy and icky. Lots of heat, insta-love, but a HEA. The virgin H, Kylie quickly is very experienced and not shy which didn't mesh with the story well. Some conflict but it was resolved almost too quickly and almost as an afterthought.

At last a romance that appreciates that you can be a grandmother of a certain age and still be a sexual being. Nonna was a blessing to this story with not only her wisdom that comes with age to enlighten Kylie, but her love of life and refusal to lie down and wait for the grim reaper to show. Cannon is the perfect compliment to Kylie and like so many Bachmans, he just knew and went forward, no holds barred. So looking forward to Charlie and Beast's story next!

Yea!! The Bachman’s are back! Whenever you come across a Bachman book you know it’s going to be good. Cannon certainly doesn’t disappoint. When he comes across Kylie he knows there is something different about her. It may take him a little while to figure it out but Kylie takes longer.

I loved this very different, wonderful story, a very good addition to this intriguing series. Kylie is sweet and kind. And just right for the sad and lost Cannon. This story has lots of hot erotic sexy scenes and other elements to hold the readers interest. I enjoyed all the characters and the Bachman beauties interactions. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I recommend it. This is a well written and well executed story.
