I have three great loves: Jesus, my family, and books. And chocolate (okay, four great loves). I write fast-paced, emotional Christian fiction that weaves real-life problems, real-life people, and real-life faith. My characters may (okay, will) experience some heartache along the way, but I promise I'll always give them a happy ending.

Eternal Love From The Lord -

Not Until Us: A Christian Romance (Hope Springs Book 4)

The Benefits Of God’s Love And Blessings ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It is a wonderful Christian story about hope, forgiveness and blessings that can occur, if you allow the Lord to guide your life. Jade’s life was chaotic when she was a teenager, as she didn’t really have the Lord fully in her life, but she took a drastic decision, that had a ripple painful effect on the people in her life at the time. Dan’s life is turned upside down, when Jade returns to spend time with her sister. However, the pain he endured following Jade’s decision years earlier and the new complications in their lives, nearly caused them to forgo their happy ending. This is an amazing Christian story that warms your heart, teaches you about the God’s loves for us, about the joy of having God in our lives and also that we should learn to forgive.

I received an ARC of this book from Bookfunnel and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Not Until Christmas Morning: A Christian Romance (Hope Springs Book 5)

Letting The Lord Guide Their Lives ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! This book has so many wonderful teachings from the bible and it is mixed in with the romance. The story made my heart beat change so many times as I read the story, with the ups and downs the characters went through. I was able to see Lord’s word in lives of Austin, Leah and Jackson’s and the support they received from the other characters. This is a beautifully written story, that open up your heart to listening to the Lord’s teaching, with each page turn.

I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Not Until This Day: A Christian Romance (Hope Springs Book 6)

A Second Chance At Love And Happiness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Isabel moved to Hope Springs to start a new life with her daughter Gabby, but Isabel was weary of everyone, as she had serious trust issues. She had been on the run for three years from an abusive spouse and therefore sworn off relationships. Tyler had also sworn off relationships, following his divorce after his ex-wife’s infidelity. It is a beautifully written story, about opening their hearts to the Lord, even through times of troubles, as he is all around them and in everything they did. The true message is about God’s love for us all and the power of prayer to find peace. (Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.)

I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have read each book in Boxset individually and they were all amazingly wonderful.

Not Until Us - A past forgiven but not without lasting consequences. Jade left Dan years ago with a broken heart. Little does he know her heart was broken too. I love books that show that we can be forgiven by the Lord while dealing with the consequences. It seems harder for people to forgive and move past their own sin as well as others. Dan is a pastor now but can he deal with Jade's past and present? While we may get upset with how he initially handled everything, I thought the author showed a realistic view of how we truly react. Ultimately if we have been forgiven by the only One who can truly forgive, we can forgive others. The ending was so sweet but would have loved a further down the road epilogue - but not a cliffhanger. I still think about this book.

Not Until Christmas Morning - Leah and Austin both have hurts that keep them from really pursuing the future they so desperately want. She has the kindest heart and I loved how much she gave to her foster son. He is quite grumpy and thinks he doesn't want to change - well doesn't think he has the right to be happy. Jackson really brought these two together but not without angst and bumps in the road. I was so encouraged by their faith and desiring to please the Lord. The ending was so sweet and the epilogue was just the icing on the cake!!! So hoping Chad gets his own book.

Not Until This Day - Isabel is running with her daughter and in the process isn't totally honest with the people she meets in Hope Springs. Tyler is living with the pain of having been cheated on by his spouse and her deserting their boys. I'll admit I had a problem with Tyler. I did appreciate how the author portrayed both of these characters as real people who struggle and still sin - as we all do. Their attraction is immediate and they both resist it. I just thought Tyler could have handled things a little differently - maybe I just saw her reasons a little more clearly than I did his. Loved how their children bonded and helped them form a family. I do love this series. The ending was so sweet left me with a smile.

I got nothing else done until I finished Not Until Us - an intense, second chance romance story. It is a wonderful story about faith, redemption, moving past your mistakes, forgiveness, living up to your potential and love - for family as well as romantic love The book has well developed characters who experience heart rending situations. The story is believable and sucked me into Hope Falls in chapter one.
Not Until Christmas Morning is one of the best books I have read this year! It put me through an emotional wringer and I could not put it down. Leah, Austin and Jackson are all amazing. This book challenges you to remember to trust God even when things seem evil or not going your way. The characters are imperfect humans who with God's help are better able to adjust to their circumstances. This is a well written, powerful romance.
Not Until This Day is a wonderful, Christian romance filled with broken, flawed people healed by God's perfect love. This story deals with the realities of domestic violence survivors.
These Hope Springs books are the kind you read again and again. Kudos to Ms. Bodden for giving us these heartwarming tales. I highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys inspiring Christian romance.

I like these stories because each deals with a different, very important issue that is part of real life. Not Until Us deals with an unexpected pregnancy that happens before marriage. Not Until Christmas Morning deals with being a foster mom to a very troubled teen. Not Until This Day deals with the past coming back to trying to ruin present happiness. Very well written stories I recommend.

WOW!!!!! If you don't read this series - your going to miss out !!

As I said if you don't read this six book series, your missing out on probably the best fiction read of your life! Each and every book touched my heart. If you don't read these six books, you will miss the plan of salvation that EVERYONE needs to hear!! If you're wavering in your faith, question what the Love of the Lord can do for you or have just not been walking with the Lord in a while, each one of these stories will fill you with, Joy ,Love and especially hope.
Valerie M. Bodden is a wonderfully gifted writer. Each book could be a stand alone but please start at the beginning, book one. You will not stop until you savor each and every one of them. I will be reading every book she has written and then stand in line impatiently waiting for her next book to come out.
I feel such a sense of peace having read them. Each book is about a different person who is looking for their forever love. Everyone of the characters learn they need to deepen their faith in the Lord as they meet someone to love in their community of Hope Springs which is on the shore of Lake Michigan. All the characters intertwine and as they find their love, all move from book to book.
The greatest part is how they find their lives in the Lord and the scripture verses that are such an integral part of the books. I said this is a work of fiction but the plan of salvation and eternal life are directly from the Bible.
Enjoy your visit to Hope Springs, you won't want the series to end!!!

The 2nd 3 book set, books 4 - 6, continues the characters and tales of Hope Springs. Oretty tyoical romance format, but without the sex scenes (thank heavens). We have a rebellious teen girl who had a secret relationship with the preacher's kid in high school, abruptly left, and comes for a visit to help her sister with her wedding, finding the PK is now a preacher. Then the guy who rents the house of a woman off to the mission field for a year, a guy who lost a foot to an IED and whose brother is still over in Afghanistan. He wants to be declared fit enough to return to active duty. His neighbor is the preacher's sister, single and happy that way, who is trying to foster older kids, and it is not going well for her with her first...but the presence of her neighbor helps things out. Last, we have a domestic abuse survivor and her 5 year old daughter, divorced, names legally changed, running from place to place to avoid her ex. She ends up working on an orchard co-owned by the betrayed and divorced single father of twin boys, and his brother.
The scriptures are skillfully woven into the plot throughout, and applied well, so that it doesn't come across as preachy or overbearing.

As we follow three people arriving in Hope Springs, we accompany them on their journey to discovering the value of faith, friends, and family.
I loved how faith is explained and lived in these stories. None of the believers say that it’s easy to believe or follow God, but still, they hang on to their faith and turn to God. Through their testimony, they reach more people since they don’t misconstrue what life as a believer is like. Life is not fair and never will be, but with God as our Father, we can be happy and at peace, following Him here until we enter our eternal home. I really appreciate that the struggles are not minimized, that we see strong Christian who have issues with forgiving. I wish you to be as encouraged by these books as I have been.

I love these books!
Valerie Bodden is an amazing author and messenger of God's word.
I have read every book in this series to date and as soon as I finish the latest I am
always looking forward to the next release.
This boxset was incredible. If you enjoy reading christian romance, then this is for you. The stories cover people from all walks of life and show unconditional love and friendships with people that judge you not. And the lessons from God that Valerie weaved into the story were so amazing and so perfect.
I was able to walk away from the books not only having enjoyed the story, but with a new lesson learned that I felt I needed to try and implement in my life somehow.

Faith Overcomes Fear

This is a wonderful story of God's love overcoming fear and replacing it with faith. Isabel has never known life without fear; never known real love and peace. She desperately wanted this kind of life for Gabby, her daughter - but How could that happen when they had to constantly be on the move to keep Gabby safe? Then they found How Springs - a town full of love and faith. Can this life ever be for Isabel and Gabby? Will Isabel ever be able to love and trust?

You will not be sorry

It’s rare to find an author who can weave the love of Christ and real life problems together and speak to the reader without being overly preachy. I love the characters in all the books of this serious. The author addresses hard issues with the lavish spread of Jesus and the gospel. The stories are romantic and believable.

I love these books.

But most of all, I love the way Valerie Bodden takes broken people, brings them together and weaves Jesus into their lives to restore "the years the locusts have eaten".

It's my prayer that Valerie, along with other Christian authors, will be immensely blessed for lifting Jesus up in their books.

An inspiring three story boxed set with a fictional west Michigan setting. As a SW Michigan resident in fruit farm country across Lake Michigan from Chicago, I identified with the small town of Hope Springs and its unique characters. Realistic characters, twist and turn plot and a believable resolution. Boxed sets are an excellent way to discover a new author and / or read a new series.

This book shows how God's love can be shown through good Christian people. It also gives hope to those struggling in abusive, lonely and empty situations. I have loved the entire series.

Great

Really enjoyed the sense of how God meets us in our struggles and brings just the right folk into our lives at just the right time. Finding God’s perfect love for us first and then finding a soul mate so to speak is perfect.
