Charles Hill's Global Business Today, 3e (GBT) has become an established text in the International Business market for its excellent, but concise coverage of the key global issues including the cultural context for global business, cross-border trade and investment, the global monetary system and competition in the global environment. GBT's concise chapters give a general introduction to international business - emphasizing the environmental factors, with less coverage of operations. Charles Hill is renowned for his attention to research trends and that is evident in Global Business Today, 3e through a variety of real world examples and cases from small, medium, and large companies throughout the world.

Typical McGraw/Hill textbook. Excessively wordy rendering it incredibly boring to read. There were parts in the book where one sentence would state something and literally two or three sentences later the exact same concept would be paraphrased again. It was like the publisher required the authors to reach a certain page limit by whatever means possible.

Charles W.L. Hill has written the authoritarian book about Global Economics and keeps the material updated so it is always fresh. There is a LOT of content to this book including real-life examples that illustrates key points in the narrative. This is a must read for anybody interested in business or pursuing an MBA program.

I read this textbook for a graduate level class in international business, but I won't hold that against it. Overall, it is well written and contains a plethora of valuable information pertaining to its intended subject.

The copy I have is 'Global Business Today Asia-Pacific Edition, 3rd edition' by Hill, Cronk, & Wickramasekera, published by McGraw-Hill Education (Australia) in 2014, ISBN: 9781743070154. I just selected this book on Goodreads because i couldn't find the specific edition i have.
