Faced with a heartrending loss, Lox walks down a dark path. He knew there would be a price for their immortality, but he didn’t know he would have to face it so soon.
He must make decisions never thought he would face.
A darkness is lingering in the world. Maybe what it needs right now isn’t a hero to save it, but a monster to hunt the bigger monsters threatening all of existence.
So begins a darker sega of Lox’s story as his rage guides his path. But will that be enough to hold off the coming darkness? Or will consume him first?
Don't miss this epic LitRPG/GameLit series that features leveling, advanced magic systems, dungeon crawling, world exploration, and much more. It's perfect for fans of books like Emarilia, World Tree , and Ascend Online .
Bad editing and proofreading in the first chapter already, kill the wife immediately, and send they guy off on a rampage, in like 15 pages...really? I don't think I can read another angsty guy whose wife's personality was a neckbeard fantasy and is killed off to be a plot driver. I had hopes for the second series being better than the forst with the horrid editing and proofreading, sigh, why do I even hope anymore.

Let's address the first elephant in the room because omg it bugs me soo much.
"Drug" is absolutely not a conjugation of "To drag". You drag You are dragging You have dragged You will be dragged You cannot, and do not, and have not, "drug". That would require medicine or narcotics.
Also, three times the height of someone who is 6' at most, does not equal 10 meters!
The best parts of the book by far were the few times in the mindscape, and maybe one other time where Lox actually deals with his feelings. It's a direct gut punch to the Feels, and you really get to see what Lox is going through and more of who he is as a person, struggling through grief.
Apart from that, I really did not enjoy this book for a lot of different reasons but particularlythe mistakes and inconsistencies. I had an in depth point by point review ready to go but it's all very negative so don't want to lay it on too thick. I will say, there's a point towards the end of the book where the dialogue between two characters is literal gibberish that does not make sense.
**“Wasn’t matter turned into a combination of magical energy?” Lox elbowed Felix. “What do you think?” “It was that all converted,” Felix shook his head. “I cite haunting of material blasts often that cone. **
You may think that's missing context, but not, I guarantee even with context it still made no sense. Thats not the first time this happened but was the most severe. Book badly needs proper proof read and edits. I'll say no more.
Unexpected twists that open new fun plot lines. Series is starting to build a bigger world that will help keep the series interesting as more books are added
Sorry this one never resonated with me. I actually stuck with it because the premise of the story was interesting and I was waiting to see if Levi Werner could get me to come around as the action generally speeds up in the second half of the book, and it did... but unfortunately it never caught me in it's web. I actually never cared a whit for the main character and their troubles. I really don't know why because I generally live for hijinks aboard a ship at sea...
