Right now this definitely one of my favorite on going series unfortunately it feels like it has been over looked and is extremely underrated largely due to the fact that around the same time the first book came out another book with a similar setting in the same genre came out and seems to have completely over shadowed it. I love that series as well it's definitely another favorite and both are highly enjoyable. I really wish more people would take the time to read this one as well though. Both series take some inspiration from some of the same sources but are handled in different ways. This series stands out largely in that the main characters aren't the selfless hero types that people hope they would be in such a situation trying to save everyone and make everyone stronger but instead are more like an average person largely only caring about those they hold dear to themselves or people who are in front of them right now. This second book introduces a lot of character growth into the main core of characters and introduces some new ones. The story is a solid continuation of the first book and if you've read any of the others other work you can see the growth they themselves have made as an author as well. The book is very polished and well thought out. The characters themselves are troubled and in some cases damaged relating to normal people in a way many don't. Overall I highly recommend this book especially if you enjoy this genre. This series has more than enough to stand on it's own and I hope others can come to appreciate it as well.

Absolutely loving this series

Another great book in this series, I love the complex characters in this series. A lot happens in this book including some settlement management which I always love in LitRPG hoping to see more of that happen in the next book.

A good addition to the series

I'm enjoying this series. I like the characters, though the progression seems a bit fast. The story almost felt like 2 different books put together with how much happened. Its fast paced in a weird way but not disruptively so. I'll definitely read the next book.

Good Storyline; Wretched Editing

The storyline continues to be interesting. However, the quality of the writing and editing is abysmal (and is the main reason for the low score). If you are okay reading books that have extensive grammatical errors and a lack of editing, and if you enjoy storylines of post-apocalyptic LITRPG, then you won't have a problem. If you want a clean and well edited book without errors that you need to correct mentally while you are reading (or if you cannot ignore them or if they distract you from the book as a whole), you really should pass on purchasing the book.

2.5 stars.

Once again, super awkward dialogue and the over explanation of every thought and motivation made this a bit difficult to read. Then there were the issues with punctuation. Many places, just an added comma would have made it so much easier to understand. My final complaint is the repeated use of Deus Ex Machina to get the character out of any situation. What is the point of developing any abilities at all if you are just going to pull a new OP one out of nowhere just in the nick of time?

Still interested enough in the story to pick up the next one. Just barely. Hopefully the above things get better in the future.

Meh

A self-proclaimed idiot main character continues to do idiotic things. Not sure why the author of thought an idiot that was also socially retarded needed to be further gimped by the gods and thought that would be entertaining. Is already crap world. Now add crap main characters. The first 50% of the book was not entertaining. The second half of the book what's 30 building. The final 5% of the book was the big battle and for some reason the idiot main character was fighting outside the wall.

Much better than the first one

Almost didn't read this, liked the story of the first book but not the characters, this was much better, the mc is still quirky, but much less so, and with a little explanation was much more palatable. Still a decent storyline and this was way better than the first book in the series.

Good story

I'm writing this review because I enjoyed this book. The magic is awesome and it has a lot of potential. It's a little slow for my liking but the character development is solid and interesting

Great start to an interesting game

Looking forward to seeing where this story goes. Hoping for a bit more rpg stuff. No need to go stay crazy but a bit more would be nice to help explain magic.

Great Story

This is the second book to come out in this series and it was excellent. It really helped flesh out the main characters in this series. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Decent book with a cliffhanger

I’m actually liking the antisocial characters and the story has kept my attention. That being said, I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. Good job otherwise.

Game on

Really enjoying this series so far. Little irritated about how the MC is of course “special” but still fun world and characters. Want to see where this game goes

Great

A great second book in an interesting series. Can not wait til book 3 is finished. Proof that litrpg doesn’t have to follow the same formulaic approach to be good.

meh

Nothing improved froM the first book. Going to give the next a try, but it’s looking like this authors belongs in the DNF pile. If food, it’d be bad gas station food.
