The Enchantress

Rate this book
When the Siren calls, the men follow. Led by the song of the Enchantress men will do almost anything, including kill the one they love. When Caleb is called away to track the Enchantress, Gwen is left in the hands of her new best friends, Caradoc and James. Sick, and alone, Gwen finds herself plagued by bizarre dreams involving Pallo and robed monks. The dreams take on a sexual nature, and when Gwen is left mating with Pallo's vampire side, she finds out things are not always as they appear. Rating: This story contains mature situations, paranormal elements, graphic violence, gore, strong language, explicit sex, the loss of child, and a women's love for multiple men. It is not intended for the faint of heart. Author recommends reading The Gwyneth Stevens Series in order of release.

Read this book in 1 day. I just couldn't put it down. I can't remember the last book I loved so much while hating it a bit at the same time. I have to say the characters drove me a bit crazy. I wanted to grab them and shake them a little bit and yell "USE YOUR BRAIN!!!! You know the King of Darkness... why wouldn't you call him like he told you to?????" I couldn't help but want to know where the story would go though. Couldn't put it down. (Well... not totally true. I occasionally put it down to have a moment to imagine shaking people.)

Favorite character by far, is James. I could use a whole book of James.

Alright I still liked this book but not as much as the first book. It still has a lot of conflict between Caleb and Pallo and honestly it got a little annoying. The plot keeps you interested with everything that is happening with the Enchantress. Gwen can never make up her mind and it is like she can’t help herself when she is near Caleb or Pallo. She loves them both but it seems she is destined to hurt them both no matter what.

At the beginning of the book she has decided to be with Caleb and get married but when he takes off to go to work then it starts going downhill from there. While Caleb is gone Gwen becomes ill so James has to call in Pallo to help and Caleb catches him at the farmhouse. We find out a little more to Gwen’s past life and about Caleb and Pallo. Gwen discovers she is also a shifter meaning she is able to change her appearance however she chooses. James and Gwen become closer in this book just as friends. Yay more James!! Sometimes Gwen is a little irritating since she is unable to make up her mind about which man she wants.

When Caleb is caught out with other women it seems that it is kind of ridiculous that it is okay for him because he is just pretending but when Gwen is with Pallo it is not okay. Personally I am starting to think maybe she should just leave both of them permanently and just start over. The bickering itself would be enough to make me want to get away and that is exactly what Gwen does.

At the end of the book she runs off with the one man everyone says she should stay away from Giovanni. He was the one who was responsible for her death the first time around. I am not sure if I like him or not but he will apparently be in the third book so I am reserving judgment on Giovanni. All in all I am going to give this book 3 stars I liked it but not as much as the first book.

Gwen Stevens is back in this sequel to Daughter Of Darkness! She and Caleb have settled down together in a farmhouse, and they are both trying very hard to be normal…no magic. Since Gwen and Caleb are both faerie, and have been together in a previous incarnation, they believe this will be a happily ever after situation...
