Terribly written

Tons of typos. The main characters were on again off again the entire book, breaking up for stupid reasons. I felt as though I was reading a train wreck that caught on fire. Dont waste your time.

One of the worst books I’ve ever read. I considered stopping 30 pages in, but I just kept going and I regret it.

The story just went on and on with no end. Even worse, it shows like a brain dump from the author as if they got their ideas down on paper but never bothered to go back and edit. Grammar and structure were horrific! At one point, a full chapter repeated itself. The story itself has promise but as I finally reached the end of the book, which had NO ending, not even a cliffhanger, all I can ask myself is "Why? Why didn't I move this to my DNF shelf and just move on?"

I don't remember why I started this book, I don't remember exactly what it was I read that made me want to read this book, but I still read it hoping that whatever it was will show up and remind me. It did not, I have no clue why I read this book.

Honestly this book would have been 2 stars if Amber never got back together with Jax. I would have preferred her to stay abroad for a lot longer and move on from Jax, I say this because this almost did happen but Jax, the selfish prick ruined her happy ending. Not only does Jax treat Amber like shit, gaslight her, not trust her but expect to be trusted when he gives no reason for her to trust him, be overall indecisive about whether he wants to be in a commitment relationship with her, he then goes on to humiliate her, break up with her multiple times and then when he realises he misses her, he forces her back to the country. Their on and off relationship was ANNOYING.

This is one of those stories where the ex boyfriend only likes the FMC after they realise how good they had it with her. In those the FMC does not ever end up with the ex (at least none that I've read or seen), but here she comes and takes him back. It was the most frustrating and unsatisfying thing to see. I wanted Jax to lose her for good and I wanted her to move the hell on, be single or get with the new guy. The ending seemed closed, then the last few pages goes back to the on and off relationship, despite the open ending, knowing what shitty taste Amber has, she would get back with Jax.

Powerful

This author sure dose write Powerful books. But I am left with a couple of questions because I thought Amber's father was Roach from another series that this crosses into. So how is it she has a different one in this and are we going to see it. But it was a great book I love seeing powerful women that can take on these men

I wish i would stop going for tiktok recommendations cause wtf was this?

DNF at 70% but honestly i stopped paying attention while reading halfway because the story just goes on and on with no meaningful plot. Speaking of plot, what was it anyway? it’s just repetitive and messy. At first it was interesting and going so well but that went down hill quickly and too fast. It had potential to be a great book but it wasn’t executed properly.

Other than the failed plot, the characters are super annoying especially the FMC. She was supposedly a badass that listened to no one and hated her brothers for abandoning her however within a day of meeting them again she comes to obey and love them by going above and beyond to help them?

Moving on to the brothers, Cole and Troy were assholes and were trying too hard to be “dominant”, and Tyler was irrelevant. Hold on though because there is one more brother who is even more irrelevant than Tyler and to the point i couldnt remember his name so i had to go back now to find out his name is Adam.

Finally the man of the mf-ing hour. The MMC. The biggest asshole of all and just straight out horrible. I must be blind because i still cannot howsoever see what FMC saw in him. He’s rude, entitled and down right emotionally abusive no wonder their relationship didn’t work out MULTIPLE times. This is exactly who women should stay away from and not because he’s “dangerous” but because he’s a sorry excuse for a man.

Overall, it’s safe to say im not a fan and this is basically a ton of ideas that dont mix written down on one draft to make this “book”.
I get what the author was going for but I wish it had been better and thats why the 2 stars are solely for the idea of the book. I wanted to write more cause there’s a shit ton of things to pick out but my arm’s too tired byeee

💕

I didn’t love it nor hate it. The first half was kinda hard to get through.. then I started to enjoy the book and then at like 70% I was sitting here asking my self why I’m reading this book…

I liked the main characters chemistry and their banter, I could live without them being a rollercoaster of breakups and makeup’s… and they didn’t really talk, just yelled at each other… 🤷🏼‍♀️

The book have some grammatical errors and one chapter was repeated.. I can overlook those things though if I’m enjoying the book. But I think the question really is did I enjoy myself reading this? I don’t even know. Am I gonna read the second one? Yeah, already downloaded it 🤣

Amber’s sass deserves its own 5 star review but the constant breaking up for dumb reasons just became redundant and pointless. It could have been wrapped up in this book as a standalone.

Good read but needs another proof read for typos

The story and characters are good. At 500 pages, it is a nice length but doesn't feel long to read as you get immersed in their lives. I really like the characters and love Amber's POV more. It leaves on a cliffhanger.

Spoiler

Amber and Jax break up at one point and she says if he goes through with it he will never get her back. I cried as she said that and knew she was done. As they get back together after this event it seems to make Amber less strong. However, they are young characters so I think going back to someone who breaks you is believable still even if it's not what I wanted her to do at the time. I wanted her with Jax but as she threatened to never go back I think she should have stuck to it then to show him that he can't just change her mind.

The Kindle version reading from UK on May 2024 has many typos and needs another proof read but the story is still great so I would still recommend a read and hope it gets re-editted at some point.
Here is a list of a few proof reading errors that need a fix, hopefully someone will see and change them.

typos like on:
page 34 all most should be almost
page 37 you act should be your act
page 39 Marianas Trench should be The Mariana Trench
page 41 'neither of these two was going to happen' has the wrong tense and would be better with 'those' and the correct tense of 'were'.
page 50 'were' should be 'where'
page 61 'mean,s' should be 'means'
page 62 'you' should be 'your'
page 63 has speech punctuation error "Ok" I should be "Ok," I
page 65 should be "In here now!" or "In here now." as it is most likely said as an exclamation on its own but a more gentle instruction would work too with a full stop but as it has no speech tag after it a comma doesn't work there.
page 77 has a male speak then Amber speaks on the same line - new speaker, new line needed
page 82 'I felt someone shoulder' should be 'I felt someone's shoulder'
page 91 'there' should be 'they're'
page 101 and 109 has a line run issue where new paragraph starts mid sentence. This happens quite a lot throughout the novel.
page 105 'though' should be 'through'
page 131 says 'mood' when I believe it should be 'mode'
page 145 'simple' should be 'simply'
page 152 'how bad the car' would be 'how bad is the car' or 'how bad's the car'
page 184 there is a speech mark at the start of considering the wrong way round as a '99' not a '66'
page 262 should be 'weakly' not 'weekly'
page 288 should be 'daggers' not 'draggers'
page 344 has 'iwas' needing a space
page 354 says Jaxs and I believe should probably have been Jax.
page 418 says 'inside.,' so needs punctuation fix
Chapter 58 swaps to Jax in lower case on pg 409 but then Chapter 59 starts on 451 and just repeats everything from pg 409-450

mmmh ok so parts of this book was good but it’s about this high school girl who has four older brothers who r all in a bike gang. she is in her own gang and gets in trouble so her dad makes her brothers come back home and they also bring jax who is supposed to be the leader. anyways they get drawn to each other and they date for literally a day then break up and they do this like 4 times but somehow have this all consuming bond. the book doesn’t do a good job of showing their dates or how they actually fall in love it’s just like she’s obsessed and i’m like bitch u haven’t even spoken to him. but anyways basically they r on again and off again and no spicy scenes so red flag. but the book ends with amber going to england bc her and jax officallyyyy broke up or whatever and she gets involved with a new gang member. but she ends up coming home for a business deal and jax wins her back tisk tisk. the ends up staying and it ends a year later when jax is apparently in prison for 6 years bc he took the fall for ambers crimes. so jax broke up with her againnnn bc he’s gonna b in prison so amber leaves and turns out she’s pregnant…

but overall will be reading the second book but there was no spice snd there were no like cute date scenes to see their relationship grow it just jumped weeks a lot idk

Honestly at first was interested and like the plot until it completely went down hill? There was an actual plot line before the off and on relationship between jax and her went down. Why did Blake and her have more chemistry at one point??? Obviously never Stan an abuser but this man loved her at least. Jackson was plan rude and claimed to love her but not trust her… DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE SITUATION BETWEEN MAI AND JAX.

Plus the brothers could really piss me off at times oh my. The whole “bikers don’t stay faithful” SHUT UP. Sorry excuse my anger. The whole controlling her and constantly being at jaxs throat burned me.

MY LEAST FAVOURITE THING. The ending because what was that. Most disappointing. You’re telling me they finally get together after breaking up 100000 times then he takes the bal for her and THEY STILL BREAK UP??? And not the random pregnancy💀

I read this book in a day… i don’t know how i survived wanting to DNF it so bad but at the same time i really thought there was gonna be redemption bc the start hooked me.

Tattooed Love #1 07/13/2022

This is the beginning of Jax and Amber’s story. Boy Amber is one crazy chick still in high school and involved writhing a gang call Hellbound plus she is sleeping with the head guy Blake but now it’s over he has been hitting her. That’s the first night Jax meets her outside a bar so drunk she has trouble standing besides a busted lip. He takes he to Blake’s home or I guess clubhouse. The next day he sees her at school but she in for a bigger surprise he is staying at her house thanks to her brothers. Because of the conditions of his parole. But soon Amber is out of control so her dad get her brothers to come back home. Now her life is all messed up plus her attraction to Jax. But it’s a very rocky road for both of them. So enjoy the read and see all the ups and downs of their relationship and if things work out!!

was rooting for everyone except the MMC, don’t know why i kept reading honestly. everything was so cringe from the FMC always embarrassing herself thinking she was a badass to the MMC taking his ex fuck buddy to his room in front of her girlfriend, getting mad at her for not trusting him and “crying to her brothers”, screaming at her at every inconvenience, and embarrassing her in front of everyone. and the worst part I’m not even mad at Mai, it was Jax’s fault for giving her the attention that she wanted. i was hoping for some plot twist at the end and for her to choose Tae.

Great story!!

This is a beautifully written emotionally charged story which had me totally enthralled throughout. This story is filled with emotions, suspense, intrigue, danger, twists, tension, and love which all leads to a heartwrenching and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

crazy

I liked this book a lot, it was like a new adult book not super spicy, skip chapter 26 if you don’t want spice. There is another chapter but I can’t remember it off the top of my head it was closer to the end of the book.

Just brace yourself for the ending is all I have to say, the epilogue is what made it a 3 star it would have been a 4 but man.

Idk how I feel, but I know it’s not good.

I am not one to typically leave reviews on books or bash a book I wasn’t very happy with, but do not waste you time reading this book. It was all over the place the main characters sucked. I feel like I have whiplash with how many time they went back and forth between each other.

what a ride

Wow! I learned a lot of new words from this book! I loved it! The emotional rollercoaster was real, I felt for both the main characters, relationships were fast. It seemed so toxic with people trying to keep them apart and I had high hopes at the end for a HEA for Jax and Amber.

When you love someone so much that you want to protect them at all costs… the only way to protect her is to keep pushing her away. He had one last chance it make it all work… Can Jax get her back?

good

I did enjoy this story but there were a bit of grammar errors. And the main couple seemed to have just to much back and forth. While just saying that I had to finish and I’m on to book 2 because I have to know how it all ends.

The book keeps your attention as the main carectars are hot and cold...I had a feeling book has good potential to be deeper if story would be burning slowly. It's like Gossip Girl in a book. You keep watching...its not too deep but interesting.
