They’ve Got Books…

Going back to where it all began. My first time reading this author was Maybe Later and the introduction to the Spearman family. I was hooked. It’s been a while since I visited them, so it was fun to read about the cousins and their very large and complicated brood.

Meant For Me is book 6 in the Paradise Bay series and focuses on Huxley Spearman and Enid Whitlock. She has inherited a book store and cottage In Paradise Bay from a grandmother she never knew existed. He is one of the youngest (has a twin sister Cory) of 8 children, whose lives and businesses are all intertwined and heavily involved with each other. Enid and Huxley come from two very different worlds, yet have similar issues of trust and belonging.

Their online alter ego’s met years ago in a virtual gaming room and became friends. The fact that Enid & Huxley are now neighbors and hate each other leads to some fun and heated moments. Forget sparks, they ignite flames with their chemistry. The text exchanges between the gaming personas match and mirror everything that happens to the couple, a la “You’ve Got Mail”.
Nora Ephron’s movies are my favorite for feel good romcoms. Burgoa does a great job developing the relationship of both couples while maintaining their anonymity, right up to the final act where one of them is working on a plan for the big reveal.

I give this 4.5 stars. It lacked answers to some key questions for me.

I’m invested in the Spearman cousins now and will go back to read any I missed and then continue the series.

You've Got Mail is one of my favorite Rom-Com, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed Huxley and Enid's story.

Enid has just inherited a bookstore and cottage from the maternal grandmother she never knew, so she decided to quit her job, follow her dreams of owning a bookstore, and move across the country to the small town of Paradise Bay.

That is when she meets the devilishly handsome Huxley Spearman, who is beside himself with the knowledge that he is out a boatload of money that he gave her grandmother as a deposit on the bookstore.

**Audio Review**
Swoon! Meant for Me by Claudia Burgoa was a feel-good-make-your-heart-so-happy romance that had me grinning and swooning over Huxley and Enid from start to finish. This book gave off all the "You've Got Mail" along with second-chance vibes, and I loved the journey these two took to finally find their very own HEA. This is book 6 in Claudia's Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series but could be listened to as a stand-alone.

Chris Brinkley and Stephanie Nemeth Parker narrate this audiobook, and this is the first time I've heard these two paired together. Chris was downright swoony portraying the broody, introverted Huxley. Chris's deep crooning tone captured Huxley's grumpy then charismatic persona perfectly. Stephanie added a soft vulnerability to her tone in her performance of Enid, who was on her own mission to discover the truths about her past and start fresh in Paradise Bay. Plus, both narrators brought the heat with Enid and Huxley's undeniable attraction!

Overall, I loved this book. If you are a fan of an enemies-to-lovers romance with a hot grumpy billionaire, a heroine who inherits a bookstore, a small town, fish out of the water, rivals who allies, front yard spicy times, a love story happening online and in real life, secret identities, family history, and a HEA that was definitely meant to be, then you will love Enid and Huxley's story. I always look forward to more from Claudia Burgoa.

At this point I can already say that Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers is my favorite series from Caludia Burgoa and it's always wonderful to return to this part of her universe. I really enjoyed reading Huxley & Enid, I think they are both very interesting characters and fate leads them to a complicated feud, with funny and beautiful moments.

Enid was a character that stole my heart from the first chapter, I loved that despite her complicated relationship with her father and brother, Enid is still such a pretty girl, with a big heart and that is not willing to give up her dreams despite the obstacles. She comes to Paradise Bay looking for her place in the world, as well as answers to what really happened to her mother, answers she didn't even expect to find. I also really liked that Claudia uses the letters to tell an important part of the story of Agnes and Enid, something she had already done with her previous two books and that again worked amazingly.

Huxley is one of the Spearmans I most expected to read and I really liked that since the previous book Claudia begins to show us a different side of her personality : a grumpy man, seeking independence from his older brothers, protecting Cory, his twin sister, and pursuing his own dreams in the process, though sometimes Hux doesn't know very well what to do with his feelings, especially when things do not go his way, something that leads him to be quite rude to Enid and complicates the situation in which her grandmother leaves them both.

And while the letters worked well in the plot of Meant For Me, and Huxley & Enid were very good characters with interesting stories, I think the exchange of messages between them somewhat limited the potential they both had to interact in person, something that breaks my heart a bit because Enid & Hux share VERY cute, tender, adorable and funny moments when they are together, their attraction and chemistry is evident and it was more than beautiful to read them interact, Hux admitting his mistakes and Enid finding everything she was looking for before arriving at Paradise Bay.

Meant For Me is the sixth book in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series and I wholeheartedly love how each book literally keeps getting better and better in such a unique way. Although Huxley Spearman was a grump at times, he snuck up on me with all his unexpected charm, sexiness and endearing behavior.

Huxley and Enid gave off excellent You’ve Got Mail vibes which captured my interest, my heart and it was so delightful. Enid really is such a wonderful person who deserved the best in life but unfortunately, it seemed that luck wasn’t in her favor when she inherited her grandmother’s money pit of a bookstore in Paradise Bay. And I have to be honest, Huxley and Enid seemed like an unlikely couple especially with all of their hilarious bickering but damn it, when I tell you that Claudia Burgoa made magic happen here, she made it happen! She created a beautiful and well developed storyline and the sex was oh so mind blowing and so hot that it nearly burned my iPad!

If you’re looking for a heartwarming rom com with the perfect amount of sweet and spice then I definitely recommend reading this book.

The grandmother Enid Whitlock never knew recently passed away, leaving her a house and a bookstore in the small town of Paradise Bay, California. It's always been Enid's dream to run her own business, so she decides to quit her job and move across the country to claim her inheritance. When she arrives, it's not quite what she expected; both the house and store are in need of costly repairs, she discovers letters from her late mother that hint at shocking family secrets, and local bar owner Huxley Spearman is threatening legal action because of an arrangement he made to purchase the bookstore before her grandmother passed away. Suddenly it seems as if the only person who has Enid's back is her online gaming buddy, a man she's never even met in real life but who has become a good friend with the potential for more. Before long, she's also fighting an unwilling attraction to Huxley, though she's afraid to trust him after he treated her so poorly when she first got to town. Can Enid find a way to salvage her dreams, or will her new life in Paradise Bay turn out to be more of a nightmare?

I loved the fiery chemistry and witty banter between main characters Enid and Huxley, who was kind of a jerk to her at first but did a good job of redeeming himself over the course of the story. I particularly liked how determined Enid was to realize her dreams; she never gave up in the face of adversity or her family's opposition. I also enjoyed the aspects of the plot related to Enid's mother and the impact of her discovery of the letters on her relationship with her father and brother.

That said, while I understand why it was necessary for narrative purposes, I question why some of the events her mother conveyed in the letters (like her parents' engagement) wouldn't have been communicated over the phone. Her mother would have been in college in the late 1980s or early 1990s, so it's not like phones didn't exist or were difficult to access. These events still could have been referenced in the letters by saying something along the lines of "It was good to talk to you yesterday. I still can't believe I'm engaged!" (For the record, I realize that the phone vs. letter thing is not likely to bother most readers, but it frustrated me!)

Overall, I very much enjoyed "Meant for Me" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Enid and Huxley. Oh, Enid and Huxley. I wasn't sure what to expect from these two. I liked the way this was almost a combined a friends-to-lovers and enemies-to-lovers. I enjoyed both of the characters and the story line. I loved the appearances of the other Spearman's.

This was a quick fun read.

I loved Huxley and Enid's story. They may have had a rocky start to meeting each other when Enid arrives in Paradise Bay, but learn they gave more in common then they realized. We also get a glimpse into Lysander's book.

I loved listening to Enid and Huxley's story. They may have had instant attraction but Huxley was a jerk to her. Enid put him in his place. Narrators Chris Brinkley and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker brought these characters to life making this story endearing.

I loved returning to Paradise Bay with Huxley and Enid's romance. I was excited when I saw it would have You've Got Mail vibes as that was one of my favorite 90's rom-coms. I can definitely see the similarities, but this is a story all its own.

It was interesting seeing Enid figure out small town life and her family issues while falling for Huxley and her online best friend. The messaging aspect was nicely done and I couldn't wait to see how she figured out that Huxley and her friend were one and the same. They had such good chemistry and I liked how their connection formed online and only grew as they spent time together.

This was a great read and perfect addition to the series.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

Claudia Burgoa has done it again! I absolutely loved Meant for Me; it is an incredible enemies to lovers love story. It is the sixth book in her Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series. Meant for Me is my favorite book in the series, and I am looking forward to reading the final books in the series. Claudia Burgoa continues to show that she is an amazing storyteller and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love that she continues to write the stories that I love to read. I love all the characters in Meant for Me, they feel like family! Meant for Me filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, it was impossible to put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Claudia Burgoa always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing aloud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Meant for Me is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that I have come to love and expect in Claudia Burgoa love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Meant for Me is an enemies to lovers love story between Huxley Spearman, and Enid Whitlock. Enid learns of the recent death of her maternal grandmother, Therese Rosenfield and that she has inherited Therese’s cottage and her bookstore, Whimsy and Wonder Books in Paradise Bay, her brother Dan inherited cash from Therese. Enid did not know of Therese’s existence since her mother died when she was a child. Enid decides to quit her job in New York and move into her grandmother’s cottage. While she is unpacking her belongings at the cottage, Lysander Spearman approaches Enid and reaches out to his brothers to help her move her belongings into the cottage. Huxley and Enid meet when he shows up to help her move in and then return her rental van to San Francisco with Benedict Farrow. Huxley had reached out to Therese about purchasing the bookstore and giving her a downpayment, but Therese did not sign the contract prior to her death. Huxley learns about her passing from Ben during their trip. Enid and Huxley are both gamers and have been chatting with one another anonymously as MythicalReader33 and Anonimouse for years. I love how Enid as MythicalReader33 reveals things to Anonimouse without knowing that it is Huxley, and he soon realizes that Enid is MysticalReader33. My favorite part of Meant for Me are the chat sessions between MythicalReader33 and Anonimouse, and the text threads between Enid and Huxley. I love that Enid bears her soul and fears to each of them. Enid is looking for contractors to help with repairs to the dilapidated bookstore and discovers letters that her mother sent Therese. The letters reveal secrets about her mother, Agnes, and Agnes’s relationship with Enid’s father. As Enid and Huxley spend time together working on the bookstore renovations and design, and deciding how Enid will pay Huxley back things change between them. Enid does not have a great relationship with her father and brother and confronts them with the secrets that she has discovered. Her father finally reveals what really happened with her mother all those years ago. I love the chemistry between Enid and Huxley. I love that Enid is torn that that has feelings for two different men, when it is really Huxley. Huxley knows he must tell Enid the truth before he can have a relationship with her but is concerned about her reaction and losing her. I love everything that Huxley and the Spearmans do to help Enid with the renovations and making her dreams come true. I love Enid’s reaction when Huxley finally tells her the truth, and how they both admit their true feelings for each other. I love Huxley’s proposal and the location of the proposal. I love all the hints that were revealed about the next story. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Meant for Me, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Spearman family, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Spearman siblings, especially their teasing that made me laugh. I love how Cory embraces Enid, even before she knows Huxley’s feelings for her. I loved all the characters in Meant for Me, it felt like a family reunion and catching up with the other Spearmans and the new little Spearmans. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Meant for Me, who does not love a enemies to lovers love story that turns into true love? Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

\ Captivating & Wonderfully Delightful! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Meant for Me
Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers, Book 6
By: Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Stephanie Németh-Parker, Chris Brinkley

It is great to be back in Claudia Burgoa’s wonderful “Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers” world again for another amazing romance novel and another amazing Spearman brother and an equally amazing romance interest. Huxley Spearman keeps himself busy with work and when not working, he is chatting it up with an online friend, MythicalReader33, his virtual bestie. They are in different time zones, but hopefully they will meet in person one day. Enid Whitlock inherits a bookstore and home from her maternal grandmother, whom she had not seen in years. Her mother had passed away when she was younger, and her single dad raised her and her brother. Enid was excited to hear she inherited a bookstore and a home, so she quit her corporate job in New York and went to Paradise Bay for a new venture and beginning. Except both the bookstore and cottage have seen better days and it will be expensive to renovate the bookstore to how she envisions it to be, but she is determined to make it happen. Huxley had his own plans for the bookstore and put a deposit down to buy it. He was not aware of Mrs. Rosenfield’s passing or that she left the store to her granddaughter. He called his lawyer first, then went straight to the source, Enid, to tell her the bookstore was his, but he got nowhere with either. Adding insult to injury, his brothers and sister are her welcoming committee in to Paradise Bay and help her move her belongings into her new home. Despite everything going on with the bookstore, he still felt attracted to Enid, an attraction he felt the moment he laid eyes on her. When she found out about his deposit for the store, she still would not budge in selling it, but find a way to pay him back. I loved these two, both had strong personalities, opposites in some ways and alike in others. The chemistry between them was smoking, and the back-and-forth banter was like foreplay. Then Huxley puts the pieces together and realizes who she is, but holds back from telling her until he finds a way without blowing it. Enid is also learning things about her family, starting with her mother, and not everything is as she remembered it to be. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, some twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley were the perfect cast to bring these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Brinkley’s Huxley was spot on, from the perfect grump to his caring and excited side. Németh-Park nailed it as Enid, grasping every side of her personality from her determination to her vulnerabilities. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters, too.  They set the perfect tone for each story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

This enemies to lovers story is so funny. Huxley and Enid are 2 individuals that understand each other. Unfortunately they don't know each other's real name. They started out as online gamers that progress to online friendship.

Huxley Spearman lives in Paradise Bay along with the rest of his family. They own a vinery along with a few other things in the little town. Enid had been a slump and when she inherits a bookstore from her maternal grandmother, she decides to run the bookstore in a little town called Paradise Bay.

The first time these 2 people met was not the best. Huxley had been trying to buy the bookstore for quite some time now and had an agreement with the owner for the purchase. He put down a deposit but the owner was dragging her feet in finalizing the deal. So Huxley was not very happy when he finds out that Enid is taking over the bookstore. So they saw each other as the enemy. Huxley tries to make Enid's life difficult in hopes that she will give up and sell him the bookstore or he wants his money back. Enid gets discourage when she see how much work she has to put into the bookstore to get it back in shape for it to be operational. Enid's father and brother are not very encouraging and thinks she should just cut her losses and go back "home". They also refused to help her financially to get the bookstore fixed up.

End and Huxley has some tense, but funny, interactions since Enid thinks that Huxley is being a total jerk. But as they keep running into each other, their attraction to each other because harder and harder to resist until one night, their hostility towards each other takes a turn for the sexy right in front of Enid's house! Boy, was there some gossip going on in the town after that incident.

As Enid and Huxley get to know each other better, they understand each other better and Huxley is falling for Enid and vice versa. When Huxley starts to put together the things that Enid speaks to him about, he realizes that she's online gaming pal and friend. Enid also struggles because she feels like she has a real connection with her online friend but she also starts to fall for Huxley.

Huxley is afraid to reveal that he and her online friend are the same person because he has feelings for Enid and hoped to get Enid to fall for him before telling her who he is. Enid struggles because her online friend seems to be more than that and she wants to explore that relationship before she decides what she wants to do about Huxley.

This is a great story about 2 people who are very independent and thinks that they can control things but finds out some things are outside of their control and they just have to accept the good things that comes their way.

Meant for Me was a brilliantly thought-up and written book. I loved everything about it. I loved the dual story line that was perfectly executed and woven into the plot of this book. The book is set once again in the charming town of Paradise Bay and is a delightfully sweet, sexy, heartwarming tale.

Enid Whitlock worked with her dad and brother at the family business. Though when she inherited her grandmothers home and bookstore in Paradise Bay. The inheritance had afforded her the opportunity. But before coming to that conclusion she had a BFF that she had known for years. Though they had never met in person they were close from the years of gaming together. She knew him as, Anonimouse and he knew her as MythicalReader33. Through conversation with Anonimouse, she decided that it was time for her to leave and become a business owner herself.

Moving across the country to Paradise Bay was a huge adventure for Enid. Even more eye opening was finding the condition that her grandmother, Therese Rosenfield home was in disarray and in much need for repair. Disappointed she set about to unload her belongings. Having met Lysander Spearman in town, he quickly volunteered his help and that of his brothers to help her. It’s when having his brothers help that she will meet Huxley Spearman. There is an instant attraction between them.

Attraction or not these two soon become adversaries. When Enid finds out that Huxley was in the process of buying the bookstore from her grandmother after paying her a large sun of money. Sadly for Huxley there is no record of this transaction or anything in the grandmother’s will stating such a sale was happening. Any plans that Huxley had for this bookstore are now out the window. He’s now at a standstill with his purchase. Yet in spite of all of this dilemma, Enid was developing feelings for Huxley, and this only made it harder for her.

With Huxley’s revelation to Enid to buy the bookstore, Enid relies on her online friend to talk this through. It’s these conversations that lead Huxley to realize just who he is talking to. Now he has to figure out how he’s going to tell Enid. Even more urgent is solidifying the relationship with Enid. Believe me, these two have tons of chemistry... even becoming the talk of the town!

But it also leaves Enid confused about the two men, Huxley or Anonimouse and which she truly loves.
Who will be the one she chooses?

MEANT FOR ME is the 6th book in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series. I loved this enemies to lovers story (one of my favorite tropes). I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page-turning story. I loved everything about this book. The characters. The angst. The heartbreak. The emotions—all were spot on. This story is fun, witty banter, and embarrassing situations. I found myself laughing at times, and at other times swooning over the very handsome and sexy Huxley Spearman.

This is Huxley Spearman and Enid Whitlock’s story. Huxley is a billionaire and one of the younger Spearman’s and has a twin sister (Cory). Huxley met Enid several years ago through a gaming chat room using only handle names on the site. Not knowing their real names, they became friends who confided in each other with their problems. When Enid‘s grandmother died, she left her a bookstore and cottage in Paradise Bay. Leaving everything behind, Enid moved to Paradise Bay to start her dream life. But Enid was disappointed that both properties were in dire need of repair. When Huxley and Enid first meet by chance at her cottage, not knowing who each other are, there is instant attraction. Huxley found that he is smitten with the sassy, feisty, and obstinate beautiful Enid. Their chemistry is off-the-charts—until it wasn’t! There is a reason why Huxley doesn’t want a committed relationship. Will Enid find out the reason(s) why?

But when Enid’s life come crashing down on her after finding out that her grandmother unintentionally put her in a predicament. What could have happened? Will the real Huxley or the other gaming partner sweep in and save Enid? Torn between honesty, rejection, and losing Enid forever, Huxley battles the temptation to divulge certain information. Will Enid ever find out the truth? Will they get their HEA? Find out what happened—what a conundrum! If FUN is what you are after, look no further—read MEANT FOR ME. This is a book I can reread over and over. Claudia Burgoa writes a dynamic story about love, forgiveness, and family. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is book 6 in a series and it was so much fun. If you love texting friends, secret identities and a good frenemy romance then this is an awesome book and you will love it.

This story includes some insta-connection between the youngest Spearman brother, Huxley and Enid, who is new in town because she has inherited her grandmother's home and her business. While Hux feels an instant connection they also start out as enemies as he is in the process of buying her grandmothers business when she died.

The first 6 chapters of the book start out in a really awesome way with text messages. Obviously, Enid is MythicalReader33 and she has an online buddy that she has been chatting with, Anonimouse. Their conversations were so much fun and totally drew me into this story.

Enid and Hux are adversaries in this book despite an attraction on both sides. If you love frenemy type of romance then you will adore this book. This story is not just about romance, starting over but its also about families and despite being imperfect, you still love them and are there for them.

Hux is the baby in his family. But he is also a business owner. He wants to buy the town bookstore, but things get complicated and he doesn't want to admit his mess-up to his older brothers. Enid is the youngest in her family too, but they also put a lot of pressure on her and warn her all the time about messing up. I loved how she fights for her legacy and the life that she wants to live, and I loved the way she made her dad listen to her.

If you love insta-love/lust/connection, flirty text messages and a frenemy story, then you will love this book. I loved how this book is not just about love as in romance but also love for a town, and the complicated family members that love each other.

Meant for Me
Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers, Book 6
By: Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Stephanie Németh-Parker, Chris Brinkley

Can you trust someone you met online? Enid has moved to Paradise Bay to reopen her grandmother's bookstore. It has always been a dream of hers, and without her family's support, she takes the plunge. She does have one person's confidence though. Her online gaming buddy. He has been by her side for several years and as their online relationship grows, her trust in him does as well. Much more than Huxley Spearman, who is trying to block her every move when it comes to the bookstore. He made a deal with her grandmother prior to her death to buy the bookstore, and he just won't let it go! But the chemistry between these two is so strong, and her online friend keeps encouraging her. Little does she know who she is really talking to! This is a funny, warm and easy listen, the kind that wraps you up in a warm embrace and keeps you there. I loved these two. The sizzling chemistry when they are together and the great banter when they are online. Plus we get to vising Paradise Bay, one of my favorite small towns and see all the family! Love the dynamics, always a fun to be with them all. This is a fantastic listen and a great way to spend the weekend!

Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley are our narrators and they do a fantastic job. Stephanie brings out all the feelings in this one. Enid has so much going on, from a new home, to starting a new business plus having Huxley around. There is a lot and Parker is amazing at melding all those feelings into her voice. Brinkley like like having you wrapped up in a hug. No matter how frustrating Huxley is, he always is sweet, and I loved having Brinkley's warm tones talking. This is the perfect casting and an amazing performance.

This is the sixth book in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Enid is unexpectedly left with a bookshop and cottage when the grandmother that she had not never met passed away. Taking a risk and making a huge change in her life, she moves to Paradise Bay with encouragement from her online friend.

Once she arrives, she meets Huxley Spearman who is grouchy and angry with her. He is rude and basically tried to make Enid leave Paradise Bay because he claims that her grandmother sold him the bookshop. As he spends more time with her, he can’t deny the attraction or connection he feels with her.

Enid is tough and strong-willed. Everything is falling apart and in need of repairs in both the bookshop and the cottage, her brother and father didn’t want her in Paradise Bay, and to top it off, Huxley is constantly trying to get her to leave; despite all of that, she is determined to make it work and restore the bookshop. When Huxley starts being kinder to her, she is confused because she realizes she has feelings for him but she also has feelings for her online, anonymous friend that she has been chatting with for years.

Huxley and Enid had so much in common and they actually understood each other. He was determined to help her discover the truth about her family – which was one of the reasons she made the decision to move to Paradise Bay. Huxley became very sweet and I loved seeing how he treated Enid. I was a little mad at how he went about things when he discovered her anonymous friend. But…well, Enid understood where he was coming from and wasn’t upset with him.

This was another great book by Claudia Burgoa, and I can’t wait to read the next book!

This is the sixth book in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers and it gives readers Huxley Spearman’s story. It can be read in a day because once you start, you do not want to put it down.

“Life is a risk, and the world belongs to those who aren’t afraid to live it.”
Truer words could not be written to express what Enid is going through as she uproots her life to move to Paradise Bay to claim her inheritance of two properties that were left by her grandmother, who she unfortunately never knew. Upon her arrival, she learns that the bookstore and her new home are going to need some major renovations. Huxley is the youngest Spearman brother and has always wanted the bookstore. When he realizes that the bookstore has been taken out from under him by Enid, the sparks begin to fly. This is one spicy enemies to lovers storyline with a twist. The two have serious chemistry as is evident every time they are around each other. The more time they spend together, they begin to realize that they may not be so different after all. The vulnerability Huxley and Enid show is heartwarming and is a reminder that one needs to be open and communicate while remembering that, “There’s always something worth being grateful for and something to find joy in.”

I love the author’s writing style and the human attributes that she ascribes to her characters. The emotions that are brought out while reading this book run from being annoyed to realizing that you cannot judge a person by his/her cover. There are many layers to the relationships in this storyline and watching the growth between the two will just make you smile.

Meant for Me came at just the right time for me with its wit and humor. Of course, there's plenty of emotion too, but if you're familiar with Claudia Burgoa, you already know how well she does what she does. This one takes us back to Paradise Bay for Huxley and Enid, and I absolutely love this pair. The blurb sums it up pretty well with the word heartwarming. I don't want to get too far into the whys and hows, but this one definitely warms the heart. Huxley and Enid have an almost enemies-to-lovers romance, at least in the beginning, but they don't stay enemies for long. He does drive Enid to distraction, which makes for some fun and sometimes sexy scenes. We also get to visit with some of the Spearman family, which is always nice. This is one of my favorite book families, so I always enjoy catching up with them.
What it all comes down to is Meant for Me is a thoroughly charming romance with Claudia Burgoa's talent for well-timed wit mixed with feels. In the case of this one, if you enjoyed "You've Got Mail," I'd recommend giving Huxley and Enid's romance a shot. Honestly, I'd recommend it with or without the reference to a fun and entertaining RomCom.
And how do you make an already excellent story even better? Put it in the ever-capable hands of Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley for the narration. I was already familiar with both narrators, so I knew I'd enjoy the listen, which I certainly did. From the humor to the emotion of the story, Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley capture all of it. I'd already read the book, so I knew what was going to happen, yet these two made it feel fresh and new. A stellar listen of an equally stellar story.

I love catching up with the Spearman family because Ms Burgoa has given me a family that feel like friends. My visits to Paradise Bay feel like I’m coming home and that’s because this author paints amazing pictures with her words and gives you characters you bond so easily with.
I have loved every book in this series but I think Huxley has taken over top spot for my favourite Spearman ………
Enid is in Paradise Bay to renovate the bookshop her grandmother left her but there’s more to this being just a renovation she is also looking for answers as to why her mother left all those years ago. Being a bit of a loner and spending a lot of her time as a gamer has left her finding support over the years with a fellow gamer but they have never met all their conversations are all via text messages.
Huxley had made a deal with Mrs Rosenfield before she passed away for him to take over the bookshop, he had even given her a deposit so what does that mean for Enid. You need to one click to find that out.
This book has all the feels, it’s entertaining, it’s emotional, it’s fun and at times it’s frustrating but one thing that shines through is the love that Huxley has to give if he can find the right woman. What starts off as two people who hate each other soon turns into a friendship that soon moves onto love but will the secret Huxley is keeping make it break the relationship. I fell hard and fast for Huxley, I adored Enid and I loved this very special read that stayed with me long after reading the final word.

Meant for Me is a strangers-to-lovers grumpy-sunshine romance, that was a joy to read. Ms. Burgoa gives us two people who hate to love your relationship but there is so much under the surface regarding their feelings. But also there is a virtual friend that seems to have Enid's affections, he is her BFF, but how since they have never met? Enid and Huxley meet because of a heartbreaking situation. Can you imagine finding out you have a grandmother you never knew but left you a cottage/house and a bookstore? The only problem is that both places are falling apart and you do not have the money to fix them. Your father and brother are not supporting you but you are determined to succeed. This is Enid'd life and she now has to deal with an infuriating man that seems to own part of her bookstore. Huxley is drawn to her, but she believes he is not the nicest person and is loved by everyone in Paradise Bay. The comfort that Enid finds with her online friend is what seems to get her through all the difficult decisions and situations that she seems to find herself in. But who is the mysterious man? Will she take her friend's advice and give Huxley a chance since he is also begging to be hers? Will she see that Huxley is not who she thought he was and just maybe he is the guy trying to be supportive and caring?
The chemistry between them sparks something in her and the fire that catches after is what drives the two of them together. Trust is formed, a friendship and love bloom and the truth is revealed. I recommend adding this book to your TBR list.

Chris Brinkley and Stephanie Nemeth Parker narrate this audiobook; I loved the beginning with the dual narration, especially during the original texting. Chris was so good as being a grumpy man, and a lovesick man, he just caught all the emotions. Stephanie captured Enid’s insecurity, plus her angry outbursts.

This is the sixth book in the Paradise Bay series and I was so happy to have Huck’s story. Huck and his twin Cory are the youngest of eight Spearman kids, his father died when he was 11 years old. Enid lives in NYC with her father and brother; her mother died when she was young.

The story begins with Enid texting with a friend she met online playing a game. She is MythicalReader33 and her online friend is Anonimouse. He is the only true friend she has; her family is dysfunctional, her job has her constantly traveling, and when the grandmother she didn’t know she had leaves her a house and a bookstore, she jumps on the chance to follow a dream. Which turns into a nightmare – the house is falling apart, same with the bookstore, and a man tells her he paid her grandmother a down payment on the bookstore, and wants his money back if he can’t have the store. Eventually Huck realizes Enid is MythicalReader33, a woman he has felt close to for years. Plus, as angry as he is about the bookstore, he can’t ignore the attraction he feels for Enid. Knowing she is his online friend, he now has to figure out how to mend their relationship.

I loved this enemies to lovers story, and it is always fun to watch the interactions with the Spearman siblings.

This book was so cute! 😍

Enid recently learns she had a grandmother who left her a bookstore and her cottage in Paradise Bay. Enid lives in NY, but she decided she can’t let the opportunity pass and decides to move across the country to start this new dream. When she arrives, she realizes she is way over her head. Both the cottage and bookstore need a lot of work and she doesn’t have much money. Huxley paid Enid’s grandmother for half the cost of the bookstore property, but didn’t honor that. Now Enid is dealing with this new issue. Enids attracted to Huxley, but she finds him rude at first, but can’t deny her feelings. She also has feelings for a computer friend she has chatted with for a while. It is possible to fall for two different people?

I loved the connection between Huxley & Enid. There was this pull between them that they couldn’t deny. I also loved the connected she had with her online friend, and it was so cute to see how the two paths of her collide! ❤️

I can’t wait for Lysander’s book next!

If any two souls were ever meant for each other, it's Huxley Spearman and Enid Whitlock, despite their dubious face-to-face interactions at the beginning. She's just moved to Paradise Bay after inheriting a bookstore from a grandmother she never knew. Unfortunately, it's the same bookstore Huxley wants and began negations with Enid's grandmother before her death.

Owning her own business is something Enid has always dreamed of, and she’s determined to make a success of the bookstore, despite it's disrepair. Between a pitiful bank balance, knowing no one in town, and her only renovation experience being her binge-watching HGTV, the project is daunting. At least she has her virtual BFF who encourages her every step of the way, because Huxley Spearman seems to be doing everything to keep her from succeeding, at least in the beginning.

This one has small-town charm and big, interfering family written all over it. I love the Spearman siblings and their interactions, and the way they open their arms and hearts to the new special someones in their siblings lives. Enid fits right in with them, even before she and Huxley are officially together. Sweet, funny, smexy, and heartfelt, this is one of my favorite couples from the series. They'll own your heart before you know it, so make sure you don’t miss their captivating, phenomenal story!

I really enjoyed this story so much. This was my first book narrated by Chris Brinkley and I definitely need more from him in my ears. This was just my second book narrated by Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and once again I really enjoyed her narration. These two were perfect as Huxley and Enid.

These two were online friends for a long time while gaming. Obviously they had no idea who each other was since they never exchanged real names or where they were from. Just vague basic info. These two get off on the wrong foot when they first meet because Huxley had put some money down on the bookstore that was owned by Enid's grandmother. But when her grandmother passed, she left the bookstore to Enid, while Huxley thought he had the rights to the store.

But as time went on, the chemistry between these two really started to grow and eventually Huxley discovers who they are to each other online. But he's afraid he will lose her if he admits what he knows.

I loved that Enid was able to get some answers to some long brewing questions regarding her mother. Huxley was there for her and she just had to learn to open up and trust him, which was very hard for her to do.

And of course we get a little insight into the next story and I can't wait for that one. Really enjoying this series.

Believe in Fate…

This story is so sweet and romantic. I absolutely loved listening to Enid's and Huxley's text conversation. Sometimes I was begging out loud for him just to tell her who he was, but I figured Claudia was saving the best part of the story for last. It also makes you believe in fate because what are the odds that they had known each other for several years meeting online only sight unseen. Then for her to end up in the same town where he lives and falling in love as their real selves and not finding out till later in the story that they were online friends all along.

This couple are true soulmates and together they help each other live out their dreams. My heart broke to hear all of what she found out about her past.

I truly loved hearing Chris Brinkley narrate this book he was the perfect Huxley! He has the smoothest and sultriest voice and Stephanie Nemeth Parker whom I've come to love in this series, outstanding! They were both wonderful!

"I laugh, but I can feel the tension building between us. There’s something there, something more than just friendship. Something more than those kisses or… the time we had sex outside this house. It’s strong and pulling me to her. But I’m not sure how to act on it, or even if Enid feels the same way."

Huxley Huxley Huxley.. The younger half of Spearman species started out strong. Even though he's a bit of an ass at the beginning, he's drawn to Enid. And when he realizes she is his mystery online friend, he wants her even more. But because of his actions when she first came to town, she has her walls high and they are proving to be impossible to climb.

Enid has had her life turned upside down. She learned the truth about her mother and with her grandmother leaving her everything, she's on the path of finding herself again. Meeting Huxley and him pushing her at the beginning to sell him her estate, she's determined to prove everyone wrong. But staying away from him proves to be impossible. And when she learns that he and her online friend are one and the same, (this was my favorite part of the book), she didn't cause him to jump through obstacles because she could see he didn't tell her the truth at the beginning, because he was afraid to lose her.

This family is a bit special and the youngest among them hold a special place in my heart. I'm now ready to see how Lysander finds his new meaning of life.

5 Star Review Meant For Me (Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers #6) by Claudia Burgoa

Having read and loved the previous books in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series I could not wait to dive into Meant For Me which is Huxley Spearman and Enid’s story.

Have you ever taken a leap of faith and done something you may live to regret? That’s the position that Enid is in when she learns that she has inherited her grandmothers’ cottage and bookshop in Paradise Bay, and she decides to throw caution to the wind and move to Paradise Bay. Unfortunately for Enid it may have been a bad decision since the bookshop appears to be a money pit.

Huxley is attracted to Enid from the start however Enid is shocked to learn that he had given her grandmother a deposit to purchase the bookshop which complicates matters. However, the heart wants who the heart wants and the attraction between them sizzles. What will happen when secrets are revealed? Will they be able to work things out or will their relationship be destroyed?

I know when I read a book by Ms. Burgoa, that I am in for an entertaining, often emotional, heart-warming story and Meant For Me was exactly that and was a great addition to the series.
