We were born enemies My family hurt hers, and she's looking for revenge I'm looking for redemption, but I have to hurt her, too I'm a Night Skull after all, the son of the notorious San Francisco MC's president The heir to the corrupted kingdom
Nothing will extinguish the fire in her chest but revenge Nothing will extinguish the fire in mine but her body But in the dark night that locked our destinies together, our secrets bleed I'm the only one who can save her, but I'm no hero She can save me, too, but in my world, there's no room for redemption Only rage, hate, blood and pain Lots and lots of pain
A game of submission begins Who will win? Or will we both lose?
Dusty is an enemies to lovers biker romance with a strong heroine that can bring an alpha hole to his knees. You do NOT need to read Furore or Tirone first. This book is set in San Francisco chapter, not Texas, and can be read on its own.
Another psycho hiding in plain sight, pretending to be normal. Half Egyptian. Loather of cats. Allergic to fake sh*t. Lover of everything dark and spicy.
I really liked the idea of this book, the dynamic is a nice flip from usual dark romances. The main issue I find myself having with this book was the pacing and overall execution. The actual character development was extremely low, and due to this and very small world building, you really aren’t convinced on this romance. These two love each other after 2 days and a few weeks of no contact? She goes out of her way to kidnap him for info on her sister and her mourning is barely covered? It just was a bit odd all around. Did not meet the expectations placed by reviews here and on tiktok.

This was a dark, twisted tale and I loved it. Cameron is a badass- usually I like my heroines soft and sweet but she's definitely a favorite for me. Dusty is intense but refreshing, he has some good reasoning as to why he is the way he is. I love how this story revolved around Cameron's desire to find her sister- her hope wanes but her strength never does. Several things happened out of the blue that surprised me so it's full of twists and turns! Can't wait for the next in the series.

Absolutely not. This seemed like it came straight off of wattpad. She kidnaps him and does some crazy stuff. Thats not what got me though. This was insta love, too rushed, and the writing was cheesy af.
A great dark read that kept me completely hooked the whole time with Dusty and Cameron’s intense interactions. I like that Cameron is such a baddie and full of determination to find her sister, no matter what the cost was. Dusty grew up in the mc world and doesn’t care for most of the terrible things his father does as Prez of the mc, so it was refreshing to see what his thoughts were relating to his family and the club. I am looking forward to more of this couple and how their relationship progresses in the next story.

This book was so dark and twisted. It was hot, and passionate and dipping into the mafia world where they will do what they need to do no matter what. I loved Dusty and Cameron together. She takes absolutely no crap at all from anyone and i love that. I need the second book so bad, ... this is a must read.
I really enjoyed this book. I was not expecting what happened at all. I was definitely not expecting Dusty to enjoy submitting to Cameron and fer her to be a little of a sadist in return. The ending does end in a cliff-hanger though so I will be eagerly awaiting the next book to see what happens. This book was steamy, dangerous, and had me rooting for Dusty and Cameron throughout the whole read.

Love at first sight or hate? Have you ever met someone and felt this overwhelming feeling that the person you just met is everything you love and hate all at once. It's a rollercoaster of feelings well worth the ride right till it's not...This story pulls you in immediately and you can't put it down. It sizzles with suspense.

I don’t want to be a bitch so I’ll just say the idea for the book was great the execution not so much. The whole damn thing was so fast paced that it was unbelievable and I was wondering where the rest of the plot was because I felt like I missed something, one moment they were strangers and had this weird “sexual tension” and in the next they are in love with each other with each other like what the hell?
no, no, no, no. Never again, every time I give Nj Adel a chance I get so disappointed. Just by reading the guy is named dusty and the girl cameron completely set me off.
Her sister gets taken, she offers herself kinda as prey, kidnaps the dude, can’t do anything bc has a “heart”, dude falls in love while being kidnapped, she gets kidnapped, gets sa’ed by dude’s father, gets together with dude.
Second book was so much worse I have no words
(Also???! Her almost taking him in the ass? What the actual fuck.)

I really like Furore and Tirone, but this one is even better than that duet! I love these characters and honestly, this is what readers want in a strong female main character. Can’t wait to get the next book when it comes out!
5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.
4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.
3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.
2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.
1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

Firstly I must thank N. J. Adel for my ARC copy of Dusty via Booksprout in return for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this 5 star read and did not want it to end. It was so good that I read it in one sitting. It pulled me in that much. The book comes with a warning which I will reiterate here....if you have any triggers whatsoever then please DO NOT read this book. It is wonderfully constructed with well developed characters. I would hate to see low ratings from folks because they do not adhere to the warnings. There is extreme sex and extreme violence but it all works so well in this book as it does in each of N. J. Adel's books.
The characters do fall in love quickly in this book but somehow it seems to fit with the darkness and the twists and turns of the plot. Love is truly closely related to hate. Dusty is the ultimate bad boy. Tough but with a kindness and sensitivity deep in him.
This book will be released on September 26th and I would all N. J. Adel fans to preorder and read this. It can be read as a stand alone at this point although it is the third in the Night Skulls series and does end with a cliffhanger.
Thank you for another great read N.J. and I am waiting anxiously for Cameron to read the second half of this story.
Dusty is part one on the Night Skulls, San Francisco Chapter Duet and ends in a cillhanger. Featuring Dusty, the Night Skulks' President' son, somewhat, a prodigal one and kind of averse of his father and the club's ways and Cameron, a girl who lost so much and then some and has vengeance in her veins.
This is a different and original take on the captive romance, dominance and punishment troupe that was ingenious, entertaining and h.o.t. af! In good Adel's way, unapologetically and morally grey, the narrative flows steady, direct and enthusiastically with interesting exchanges, not so much as enemies-to-lovers, but more like opposite sides of the barricade's protagonists that, by serendipity perhaps, find themselves attracted, obsessed and irrevocably in love with each other!
The certainity of their feelings is undoubtable, but what about ingrained behaviors, ways to deal with conflict and social coexistence?
There's still very important matters to bring around between Dusty and Cameron and their futures will be set in the second part of their story, as animated, I hope, as this first instalment was!.
Dusty is book 1 in a duet which is part of the Night Skulls (San Francisco chapter) MC series. This is a dark, slow burn, enemies to lovers romance. This books ends with a cliffhanger.
Cameron received a scholarship to a College away from her home, leaving her 15 year old sister at home with a neglectful mother. Because of this Cameron makes it a point to go home every weekend to check on her sister. It was on me of these weekends that Cameron found out her sister was missing and she was last seen on the back of a Night Skulls motorcycle.
Dusty is the son of the Night Skulls president. Dusty is unhappy being part of the MC club, so he left to check out the MC clubs in Europe as an excuse to get away. Unfortunately he has to come home and take his place in the club.
This book is dark, twisted and very spicy. I am looking forward to the second book and the conclusion to their story.
Came across Dusty after finishing another book by the same author. This is a motorcycle Club, enemies to lovers trope. I found myself wanting to DNF a few chapters in but thought I should give it a little more time, let the story build a little. It didn’t. This story is super rushed and has sex scenes tossed in at really random moments, to the point they are laughable. It felt like the author was trying to write a few books all at once, like she couldn’t decide on what route she wanted to take so she just stayed vague and jumped around with different stories… if that makes sense?! I don’t know, I didn’t find myself carrying about any of the characters. The terms used were cringey, almost out dated. I sadly don’t have anything good to say.
Another winner from this author in the dark and twisted romance department.
Dusty and Cameron’s story has some serious bumps from the minute they meet. She needs to find her sister who was taken by his father’s MC and taking him hostage, in her mind, is the way to get answers.
The attraction and love is rather fast but it just clicks. They have more in common then one would expect. Loved these two together in all their angst and steam.
Beware the triggers mentioned since some things within are very dark.
* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
“I was ready to take any kind of pain for Cameron. The one girl that brought me to my knees and owned my heart.”
If you enjoy: - Dark Romance - Enemies to Lovers - Heroine with a Traumatized Past - Motorcycle Club - Dual POV - Steamy
This one's for you! This is a dark romance and contains some scenes that aren't meant for everyone, so if that's you steer clear. If not, you're going to love this one.
This story follows Cameron, the MFC, who has her young sister kidnapped by a dangerous Motorcycle Club as a gift for a member. She will stop at nothing to find her sister and bring her home. It also follows Dusty, the MMC and the son of who kidnapped Cameron's sister, he is also the member that her sister was gifted to. But, Dusty is not like the rest of the bikers, he doesn't agree with their lifestyle. So, when he sees this gift he leaves for good.
Cameron is ready for revenge. She thinks this will bring her sister back. So, she kidnaps Dusty to do just that. Then, it gets really really interesting, to say the least! If this sounds like something you'd love, I highly recommend! 😈
Dusty by N.J. Adel is book Three in The Night Skulls Series. This is the story of Cameron and Dusty. Cameron is away at colleage but she comes home on the weekend to check on her teenage sister who had to stay back with their abusive mother. One weekend she comes back her sister gone and a lead is that she was on the back of the Night Skull MC. It seems Roar the President of the MC has taken her sister. Dusty is the son of Roar/ the President of the MC. So Cameron takes him hostage. This book does end with a cliffhanger.
My goodness who knew that being held captive could be so hot!! It definitely was for Dusty although to be fair it shouldn't have been especially with the reason he was being held hostage. Still the sexual tension between these two characters was off of the charts but this was a dark read with the events of Cameron's sister's disappearance a major factor in it which was why Dusty was kidnapped to begin with. It was certainly a gripping read and the crossover characters from other books popping up in this one was a great addition. Damn that cliffhanger though but it gives me something to look forward too. Bring on book 2
This is the 3rd book in this series, and this is Dusty and Cameron’s journey. Dusty is the son of the notorious President of the Night Skulls MC, and it is refreshing that he does not always agree with her fathers’ actions, and we get an insight into his thoughts on how the club should be. Cameron is focused on a journey of vengeance to find her sister, who was taken by his fathers’ MC, and she is a strong woman who brings Dusty to his knees. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, twisted, and intriguing, with enemies / lovers, angst, family, vengeance, redemption, danger, suspense, challenges, and is a steamy riveting page turner. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was hooked from the start. Cameron showed she had some fire in her within the first chapter. From her tragic loss to kidnapping Dusty and falling for him, I had high hopes for these two. Dusty isn’t your regular MC biker, he has soul and doesn’t agree with the Night Skull’s way of business. Talk about a diamond in the rough. His love for Cameron is truly amazing even though she has her defenses up, she still lets him in and falls just as hard. I can’t wait for the 2nd book to continue their story!!.

I’m conflicted, the idea of the plot seemed good but it was all very rushed. I enjoyed it, it was dark and the s*x scenes were good. But idk how I feel about it😂
If u like dark enemies to lovers, Tall, Dark, and delicious anti-hero, a Dom who submits only to her and Scorching dark scenes then Dusty is the book for u. It was dark, dirty and fast paced A great read, please take note of the trigger warnings Looking forward to what's coming in book 2
WOW! Dusty and Cameron’s whirlwind story is action packed, suspenseful, violent, dark and twisted. They had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Their connection and chemistry just oozed off the pages and could be felt in every interaction they had. It was a dark and twisted emotional rollercoaster ride that I never wanted to end.
I can’t wait to see how their story progresses in the next book.
This is a new to me author and I can't wait for more. Dusty is an extremely emotional story and everything that can be felt is felt throughout this book. It's a very fast paced, insta love read that consumes you and leaves you wanting more. Cameron is a FIERCE as h*l^ woman and she's got no problem showing the lengths she's willing to go to for those she loves. This is one of the strongest female characters I've ever read. Then there's Dusty, he's never agreed with the way his father Roar, the President of the Night Skulls, has ran things. He's prepared to fight back for Cameron and it makes no difference who gets in his way. This book is fantastic and I can't wait for part 2 of this duet.
Saw book 2 synopsis on tiktok which led me to "Dusty". Only finished it because I've read a couple later books by N.J. Adel and realize the writing and editing will improve. "Dusty" needs revision to improve grammar, word usage, incorrect phrasing and other errors. I do want to know what happens to the characters so will add book 2 to my backburner-read list.
The writing is just not good… I know books can be unrealistic sometimes but like how can you have her kidnap him and then fall in love in 2 days and not really cover ANYTHING? Like nothing about her grief of her sister, nothing even really about him..
Also didn’t like that it would jump from scene to scene without much explanation. I would be reading a paragraph and then the next would be something completely differently and I don’t understand how we got there????
