Southern Comfort #3

Too Close for Comfort

Rate this book
Hank "The Fighter" Comfort

Life doesn't get much better than this. Or does it?

After years of taking care of everyone else, my life was finally my own. With no one depending on me and no one I was responsible for besides myself, I thought I'd be happy. But I was wrong.

My family is my legacy and curse. Literally. Three generations back a curse was put on Comfort men from a woman jilted at the alter by my grandfather that said all his male heirs would fall in love only to have that love cut short by tragedy. Which is exactly what happened to my dad. After my mama died when I was thirteen Pops turned to the bottle and I ended up raising my brothers. But now, they were grown men and I was ready to start living my life for me.

That is until I opened my door to find a brown-eyed girl who wrapped me around her little finger in a matter of seconds followed shortly by her flustered, stunning, auburn-haired mom who had me rethinking solitary life.

Skylar "The Single Mom" Thompson

Life has a sense of humor. It has to.

After getting my house broken into, my bank accounts drained, and moving across the country on three hours' notice I thought nothing could surprise me. But I was wrong.

My daughter is my whole world and I would do anything to protect her. So, packing up my SUV in the middle of the night after coming home to find our condo was ransacked and an ominous note was left on the fridge was a no-brainer. Forty-eight hours and one cross-country trip where I'd discovered that someone had taken all of the money out of my accounts later, I was sure there were no more surprises in my future.

That is until I woke up from an unplanned nap to find my daughter on the porch of my sexy new neighbor whose voice so deep if it was an Ice Cube song it would have put my butt to sleep. Maybe all surprises weren't bad.

Between the Sheets is the third book in Melanie Shawn's Southern Comfort series and it's one I've been looking forward to. We finally get to learn the story of the oldest Comfort brother, Hank.

Hank Comfort has always had to act older than his age. When his mother died when he was thirteen, he was thrust into helping to take care of his younger siblings and in all honesty, he was doing most of it because their father was losing himself in alcohol. Hank is one that keeps to himself now that he's older and he's known for always wanting to help others out.

Skylar Thompson and her daughter Luna have just recently moved to Firefly Island. Needing to flee Seattle at a moments notice, Skylar heads to the house she inherited from her late grandfather, but arrives to find out it is definitely a fixer upper. After four year old Luna decides to pay their neighbor a visit on their first night, things may not be quite as easy Skylar anticipated in terms of just staying low key.

Living next door to one another, Skylar and Hank end up spending a significant amount of time together. Seeing as Hank is a contractor by day, he decides he's going to fix up the house for Skylar even though he knows she may give him a hard time. Skylar is dealing with issues following her due to her ex, and Luna's father, which Hank ends up in the middle of as well. With all that both of them are dealing with, will they be able to make it work between them or will the Comfort curse keep Hank from wanting to move forward with her?

I enjoyed this story so much! I found myself laughing out loud, tearing up and cheering for the people in this book. Precious little Luna was such a wonderful character! Her relationship with Hank was adorable and I couldn't get enough of how she just had him wrapped around her little finger! I liked that Skylar was a survivor and she was going to do whatever was necessary for her daughter, but she found out very quickly that in a small town you have a lot of people who are willing to help.

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend all three books. This one was definitely my favorite of the trio.

Whenever I come across a book by these talented authors I know without a doubt that it will be another treasure. This one definitely takes that to a higher level.
I you are new to the series, it revolves around the Comfort siblings, mainly the men. A three generations curse was put on the Comfort men when it came to love. But this latest generation is proving it wrong as two of the younger siblings have found love.
Hank is the oldest one. He’s the brother who at the age of 13 ended up taking care of the family when their mother was killed in a car accident and their father drown himself in a bottle signing off on the family.
Now that he’s job of taking care of his siblings has come to an end, he’s life seems empty. That is, until Luna, a 4 year old, comes to his door selling her “treasures” and her mother, Skylar Thompson, becomes a “mama bear” when she realizes Luna has left their new home and confronts Hank.
Little did any of the three realize that meeting would change their lives forever.
But the road to their HEA is a bumpy one, with the exes showing up, self doubts and fears of opening their hearts.
The story is at times heartbreaking, as well as heartwarming. It’s a story about family, losses, trust, hope, and finding love when you least expect it.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Amazing! I was desperate for Hanks story. After the announcement at the end of the previous book that Jerry would only speak to him about his moms death I was expecting a book full of twists and turns as they navigated what ever info he gives them; however it wasn’t like that at all. This was a beautiful love story. A story of self discovery from Hank and reflection on the past. A past that he has to look back on with adult eyes and not heart broken 13 year old eyes. The secrets he’s kept to himself to protect his brothers, the misinterpretation that almost cost him finding out the truth. I was so swept up in his and Skylars love story I almost forgot about the other plot line. I loved every single interaction of these two and Luna was just the icing on the cake. It’s through Skylar and Luna that Hank is able to look at his past with fresh eyes, to be able to remember the good times and embrace all the things about himself that he hadn’t acknowledged in a long time, the things he enjoyed with his mom, the person who she saw him to be. It was so beautiful. Insta alpha love.

I so needed this book! This just made my heart soar with love for Hank, Skyler, and Luna. Luna was my favorite character in the book. I just love the extra laughs and love children bring. Luna is just turning five but acts like 20 sometimes. You never know what is going to come out of her mouth! I don’t know how many times I cracked up with what she said. I was so glad that Hank was there for Skylar and Luna. I hated what Skylar went through because of her ex and what she had to do to get away from the situation. I was so glad she met Hank. He had raised his two brothers, but that just made him a better man to be a husband and father one day. Hank did so much for everyone you couldn’t help but love him. I strongly encourage you to read this book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Finally, we get to read Hank’s story and it was definitely worth the wait. If anything can break the “Comfort curse”, it’s the love of a four turned five year old little girl and her mother.

Melanie Shawn does it again with the latest book in the Southern Comfort series. This book has it all: excitement, mystery, suspense and of course romance.

Missed the characters from the other books, no problem. We get to catch up with Cheyenne, Billy, Jimmy and their fiancé’s and meet Skylar’s sister, Ashley.

If you are looking for a great book to add to your reading list. This HEA is definitely one to add.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Hank Comfort has always looked after everyone else and Skylar Thompson is a single mum of one adorable daughter (Luna) who is running from her ex and his problems.

There’s instant attraction, chemistry and heat between Hank and Skylar when their worlds collide.

I gave this book 5 stars because I couldn’t put it down and when I had too (bloody work!) I thought about it and counted down until my lunch break so I could continue reading!

Between the Sheets is book 3 in the Southern Comfort series and is a stand alone book with HEA.

I received an ARC of Between the Sheets and this is my voluntary honest review.

Sweet and swoony

We finally get Hank Comforts story. As the oldest Comfort he ended up being in charge way younger than he should have been. Whose mother was a free and an alcoholic father Hank grew up too fast. When his mother died and his father falls into the bottle Hank takes over. At 13 he is raising his siblings and running the family bar.

Skylar is a single mom of of adorable Luna, drove all night from the west coast when her and Lunas home was trashed and broken into. As always the kids steal the show. When Luna shows up in Hanks doorstep everything clicks into place.

Such a great book!

Hank is the gruff, silent type. He spent his life since he was thirteen, raising his two younger brothers. Now they're older, he prefers his own company. That is, till the beautiful Skylar and her adorable daughter, Luna show up on his doorstep.
Skylar leaves everything she owns, after a break in, that leaves her scared for her and her daughter's safety, she never for a second, thought she would meet the devastatingly handsome Hank.
Their connection is instant and he can't help falling for Luna too, she cracks his heart wide open.
I love these three so much. This is a definite must read!!!

No doubt about it these two amazing sisters are a force to be reckoned with. I love their writing style. Always entertaining.

I certainly wouldn't mind getting between Hank Comforts Sheets. It's always an awesome ride when you are taken back to these small town reads by Melanie Shawn. I also love the mystery behind the Comforts mothers death and a little more information is divulged every book.

Love Luna...

I rarely give a book five stars but even with my hyper critical nature I couldn’t find a reason not to give the third book in the Southern Comfort series the full 5 stars. Our leads, Hank Comfort, Skylar and her daughter Luna were terrific characters. Hank realized the moment he laid eyes on the frantic and disheveled Skylar that his life was never going to be the same. Hank was a great guy. He raised his younger siblings and ran the family business and cared for his alcoholic father from the time he was a young teenager. He went out of his way to help the people of Firefly Island, friends and strangers alike. He wasn’t nearly as grumpy as his character had been in the first two books. Skylar was a single mom who at eighteen took on the responsibility of her younger sister Ashley and then in her mid-twenties became a single mom. She never whined or complained about her fate. She accepted it gladly and dealt with whatever life threw at her. Her daughter five year old Luna was such so precious I wanted to eat her up. She bonded with Hank even faster than her mom did and Hank would do anything for both of them. The other Comfort siblings, former Panty Dropper Billy his soon to be wife Regan, (oddly Regan’s mother a character in their book never appeared for the wedding?) youngest brother Jimmy The Flirt, his fiancée Isabelle and Cheyanne the only girl in the family all had minor roles in the story as did Skylar’s sister Ashley and Regan’s friend Nadia. a few of the elderly residents of Firefly. I’m pretty certain that once Cheyanne and Cash get their story in May of 2021, Ashley and Nadia will also find true love. Not together.
The book opens with Skylar and Luna arriving in Firefly to move into their late grandfather’s house after fleeing San Francisco when their condo was ransacked by drug dealers looking for money to satisfy Skylar’s ex and Luan’s father Richie’s debt. After meeting the two Hank doesn’t waste any time finding any excuse to spend time with them. I have to admit Skylar seemed incredibly clueless about Hank’s feelings for her despite all the attention he paid her and Luna. I liked that even though Hank and Skylar were immediately powerfully attracted to one another it took some time before they became intimate. It was a nice slow burn romance as the two got to know each other. There was the secondary stories of Skylar worrying about the threat of Richie’s drug dealers coming after them and Melody, Hank’s high school sweetheart suddenly contacting him. The big secondary story was the truth behind the accident that killed the Comfort’s mother when she was only 29 years old. The authors I thought did their best to make her likable but the more I learned about her the less I liked her. Since discovering Cheyanne had a different father than the boys we knew she was an unfaithful wife. But as it turns out she wasn’t the world’s best mother either. But I guess being married at 16 to a functional alcoholic who spent all of his time at work, having four children by the time she was twenty-seven earns her some sympathy. Still, she wasn’t getting any mother of the year awards regardless of how fondly Hank remembered her.
Ultimately this was a just really good read with the right balance of romance, sexy times angst and a bit of mystery.

Hank, Skylar and Luna’s story in Between the Sheets by the amazing duo of Melanie Shawn, book three in their Southern Comfort series is another perfect match. This series takes the reader to Firefly Island and quenches a thirst reminding one of the importance of family. This is a heartwarming, emotional, sizzling romance filled with humor, family, and love; love for family. I struggled putting this book down, as I wanted to know that Hank earned the love of Skylar and her daughter Luna.

Hank Comfort is known as “The Fighter” probably because in taking care of his brothers he had to fight to keep them safe. Hank is the quiet one, more comfortable being behind the scenes than in front. The Comfort family is legendary and cursed; at least the men. Three generations back a curse was put on Comfort men from a woman jilted at the altar by their grandfather; stating that his male heirs would fall in love only to have that love cut short by tragedy. That is why after the death of his mother, his father turned to the bottle, drinking himself to death, leaving Hank to raise his brothers. With the death of father and his brothers finding women, he is finally responsible for only himself; living life for himself. Thinking he would be happy about this, he finds himself not quite happy and a bit lonely. Then one day he noticed someone had moved into the neighboring house; a house that’s been empty for five years, since the death of its owner. Next thing he knows, he finds a brown-eyed girl, knocking at his door; a little girl, Luna, who wrapped Hank around her little finger in a matter seconds. When her flustered, stunning, auburn-haired mom arrived worried about her daughter Hank started re-thinking the benefits of a solitary life.

Skylar Thompson has not had an easy life. At age eighteen her parents died, leaving her to raise her younger sister. Being a single mom is not easy, but her daughter is her world. So, when her house is broken into, her bank account drained of all funds, and an ominous note is left on her fridge, she packs up her SUV and moves across the country to the house she inherited from her grandfather. Waking from an unplanned nap and finding Luna missing, Skylar finds her on the porch of her sexy new neighbor, with a deep, sizzling voice. Skylar started thinking that life had to have a sense of humor and she was tired of all the surprises she was finding; well maybe not all. Hank renovating her house and helping her with Luna makes life easier for Skylar; as does getting a job at the Southern Comfort Bar that Hank and his brothers own. Skylar never expected to find love, but then she hadn’t met Hank Comfort before.

Melanie Shawn wrote a wonderful, hot, heartwarming and moving story that should not be missed. They provided a tale rich with emotions, magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, humor, secrets, and charming characters giving Hank and Skylar a chance at love and hopefully a forever together, with Luna. I fell in love with Hank, Skylar, and Luna and the town of Firefly, making it so I could not put down this book. I highly recommend Between the Sheets to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

The best brother was saved for last!!!!

I always loves going back to Firefly Island and Hank's story is definitely my favorite thus far.

In the first two books we learn that Hank is the quiet type...he keeps to himself and is learning how to live his life with only himself to take care of since his brothers and sister are grown and his dad is gone. Having who he thought was the love of his life leave him at the age of 18 he hasn't had a single relationship since...he doesn't want one or so he thought until a certain little four year old girl shows up on his porch one day selling her box of treasures and her mama comes searching for her.

Skylar Thompson is trying to provide the best possible life for her daughter Luna and after coming home one night to see her condo had been broken into and ransacked she knew exactly why and did the only thing she could think of....she packed up her belongings, grabbed the deed to her deceased grandfather's house and left Seattle, WA for Firefly Island in Georgia. The morning after finally arriving in Firefly she wakes to find Luna gone and soon discovers she is over at the neighbors.

Hank and Skylar feel an immediate pull towards each other and he just knows that he wants to take care of her and Luna. He sets out doing repairs on the house so it is safer for them. Luna has him wrapped around her little finger instantly. Soon Hank and Skylar can no longer deny their feelings and give in to them.

While he is building a relationship with Skylar he is faced with a situation revolving around his mother's death when he was 13 and he knows he needs to come clean with his siblings about something he has been hiding since her passing but what he has thought all these years turns out to not exactly be true.

Melanie Shawn has done it again with a story that grips you from page 1 and keeps you going. I was so glad to see Hank get his HEA because if anyone deserves it....he does and Skylar is just absolutely perfect for him. If you need a feel good read then this is a definite must!!!

I can’t believe this series is over! While this series was short (only three books), it really packed a punch with me and kept me on the edge of my seat guessing for both each book as well as overall the entirety of the Comfort family. Hank has always been misjudged by the entire town because of his anger, and nobody seems to understand him, until Skylar moves to town and gets to know the real Hank. When her parents passed away, Skylar took guardianship of her younger sister, and then ended up pregnant by a guy with drug issues, and when his doings put her and her daughter’s lives at risk, she packs up and moves to Firefly Island into the home of the grandfather she never met. Her daughter takes an instant liking to Hank, and while both he and Skylar are attracted to each other, Skylar isn’t looking to get involved with anyone because of the obvious, and Hank is essentially a pariah in town. But as she gets to know Hank and realizes all the good that he does, she starts to stick up for him in town while also developing a relationship with him. In true book fashion though, Skylar’s ex shows up and the town gossips about Hank and threatens their entire relationship, but thankfully things right themselves for this couple. With the end of this series, we also finally find out what truly happened to the Comfort brothers’ mother and the truth of her death so long ago. It was a great way to close out the story. I can’t wait to see what these authors bring out next!

Skylar and Luna also Hank

Skylar has moved from Seattle to Firefly Island rather quickly. She's driven 46 hours on very short notice since she went home and found it broken into with a threat stating they would be back. She just knows it has something to do with her ex Luna's daddy Richie. Thankfully, she'd inherited her grandfather's house on Firefly Island, so that's where she went as no one knew about it except her sister Ashley. The last thing she needs is for her four year old daughter to be in danger. When she wakes up from a nap, she didn't plan she realizes her daughter is gone. No!! Then she hears her along with a man's voice. Who is he? Where did he come from? The only thing that matters is that her daughter is safe. Hank can't believe it when he answers the door to find a pint-sized little girl there. Plus, she's selling her "treasures." He doesn't recognize her, but he buys her box for a lot more money than she's asked. Then he gets a second surprise, her momma comes flying across the yard and he is gob smacked for the second time, she's beautiful! How will Hank and Skylar get along? He is already putty with Luna. How will he handle his ex-girlfriend Melody, who seems to have mysteriously decided to try to make contact again after all these years? Will he be able to give his brother's and sister what they want to help solve the mystery of their mother Sabrina's death? Only one way to find out is to read this great story by Melanie Shawn. You won't be disappointed.

Hank Comfort has spent most of his life taking care of family. It’s finally time for Hank.
His brothers are getting married, his sister is back in his life, his alcoholic dad has passed on, and Hank can finally be his own man. But Hank is finding that it’s not all he thought it would be.

Hank is listening to a voicemail from his ex when someone knocks on his door. There is no
one else living in the area, so he figures it must be one of his brothers. But when he opens the door, a little girl named Luna was on the other side. She was holding a box filled with her treasures and she wanted to sell them to help her mama.

Skylar Thompson had just moved into her grandfather’s house with her daughter, Luna. After driving across country, Skylar crashes on the couch. Luna doesn’t want to wake her mom, so she grabs her treasure chest and decides to approach the house down the road where she meets Mr. Hank. As Hank is trying to figure out who Luna is and pay her for her treasures (pencil stubs, erasers, etc.), Skylar comes running up the road looking sleepy-headed and irresistible. Hank is smitten with both Skylar and Luna.

Hank helps Skylar and Luna settle into Firefly Island and the friendship/romance blossoms.

This was a sweeter version of Melanie Shawn’s books. Although there was combustible heat from Hank and Skylar, there was a deeper love story to this book. That made me enjoy it even more.

Hank is the oldest of the comfort men. He has spent his life taking care of his siblings and his father. Now, all his siblings are grown, and his father just recently passed. Hank is finally taking the time to enjoy not having anyone depending on him to take care of them.
Skylar is a single mom of a 4-year-old daughter named Luna, who just moved to town escaping in the middle of the night after her house was broken into. Now living in the house her grandfather, she never got to met, left to her, she is trying to get settled in. After driving all night Skylar falls asleep on the couch, a little while later she awakens to find Luna (Lu Lu) gone. Panicked Skylar runs outside calling for Lu Lu. She finds her at the house of their new neighbor Hank Comfort.
The second Hank see’s Skylar, he feels like his life will never be the same. There is instant attraction and something else, hope?
The instant Skylar hears Hank’s voice she is intrigued but she will be a lot better if she could put a face with the voice.
You will read how Hank overcomes the secrets of his mother’s death and learns how to “live” again and be happy with a new woman and little girl in tow.
Skylar will learn how to put her trust in a man again, one that will do nothing but right by her and Lu Lu.
I SOOOOOOOO loved this story. Hank is such a sweetheart and Lu Lu is a doll. Don’t get my wrong, Skylar is great to. Fantastic story.

Between the Sheets didn't disappoint! The only downside is that it ended too soon!

While reading, there are certain characters that you can't help falling for. Hank Comfort is one of those characters for me. He became head of the Comfort family at a young age and because of this he is more serious than his brothers. In addition to his no nonsense personality he also has the biggest heart. I melted when he met Luna and bought her treasures.
Skylar was a bit hesitant at first to trust Hank but she has reasons to be. Jer past relationship didn't end well and despite moving across the country she can't forget what she's running from.
The two have chemistry immediately and worked at building a solid friendship before they went further.
In addition to their budding romance, the storyline of the Comfort Curse and the mystery surrounding their mothers death is woven in. Its the perfect amount of drama and new love to keep you reading.
Past characters which I've grown to love were present in this book as well as well as new characters Luna, and Ashley, Skylar's daughter and sister respectively were introduced. Luna is one of the cutest 4 year olds written.
The only thing this was missing is more chapters! I could have read more about Hank and Skylar!

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.

I am in love with Hank 😍 and think this is the best book so far in the Southern Comfort series.
Hank has been taking care of everyone since his mom died when he was 13. Now he is finally free to live his life the way he wants to, that is till a little girl knocks on his door and manages to wrap him around her little finger in minutes.
Skylar had to pack up and move quickly after her condo was ransacked. Tired after driving for 2 straight days, her plan to just rest her eyes results in a unplanned nap. When she wakes up she finds her daughter, Luna with her neighbor, Hank, who even thought she can’t see properly, his voice is sexy enough to make her tingle all over. After the first meeting Hank and Skylar both know that life as they know it is going to change :).
Between the sheets is a read that has it all , swoon worthy romance, excitement, suspense and some hot chemistry. Hank and Skylar are adorably perfect for each other and I just loved their connection but I must say the little girl Luna takes the cake. She is just so cute, adorable and funny. You never know what she is going to say next and totally steals the show. It was a book I just couldn’t put down and am so glad I started it on my day off from work.

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Hank's story. And it wasn't what I was expecting. I adored Luna, the little daughter of the heroine Skylar. She is this bright ray of sunshine that is exactly what Hank needed in his life. His entire life has been taking care of his family, and now he broods alone and it is starting to get to him. However, until Luna and Skylar enter he life, he didn't realize it. There is steam, there is missteps, there is Kevin Bacon (the pig), and of course the other Comfort siblings. There are those wonderful small town moments that the duo of Melanie Shawn always give us, and the side characters are wonderful. My reasoning for a 4 star is because I felt like that revelation of Hank's to his siblings was swept away a little too easy. I understand the reasoning behind it, but there has been so much build up surrounding this over-arching storyline that they were almost too quick to forget. Although, that does seem to be the Comfort way. You do not have to read books 1 and 2 to understand the story, but you should because Billy and Jimmy's stories are wonderful. I look forward to the lone Comfort sister, Cheyenne.

I have to go on record and say that Hank (The Fighter) Comfort is my new book boyfriend. The initial meeting with Hank and Skylar and her thought of ‘could someone get pregnant from a handshake?’ says it all. Hank has always been the quiet one in this cast of characters and who knew that all it would take is a 4-year-old namely, Luna, to bring Hank out of his shell. Once again Melanie Shawn has written another amazing book in this Southern Comfort series with our hero and heroine, Hank and Skylar and of course Luna making you want to go hang out with them on Firefly Island. The story was really good, and I loved getting to know Sabrina Comfort through Hank’s eyes, that was one of my favorite parts of the story. Of course, I loved seeing the brothers and their ladies again and meeting Ashley, but Hank, Skylar and Luna totally brought this story to life. It appears the mystery was solved but in the back of my mind, I am not so sure. There was a line in this story that was perfect, ‘a firefly shines in the darkest of nights. Never let the world dim your light’. Definitely looking forward to Cash and Cheyenne’s story.

This book continues the life of the Comfort Family and their dealing with a curse from the family’s three generational curse of the past. Two of the brothers have found their true loves but Hank Comfort, the oldest sibling that raised the family and hid some of his past secrets from them, is finally trying to enjoy his single life. Suddenly he realizes that someone or something is missing from his solitary life. Luna, a four year girl from next door, knocks on Hank’s door selling her “treasures”. His life will never be the same. Meeting her mother, Skylar Thompson, Hank finds what is missing and has a reaction he never saw coming. The three have many heart warming, emotional encounters with family, nosy townspeople, returning exes plus the solving of a secret for all. Luna makes everyone’s heart smile and of course, steals the heart of everyone. Beautiful written book!

Between the Sheets is thethird installment of the Southern Comfort series by Melanie Shawn. We follow the oldest Comfort brother on his journey to find his one and to break the curse.

Hank Comfort is the strong, brooding, silent brother. Known as 'The Fighter,' he has taken care of everyone for so long he thought all he wanted in life was to be on his own, with no one to care for but himself.

Skylar and her daughter Luna showed up in Firefly overnight and have never looked back. Everything clicked into place in the fairytale like Georgia island.

Can Hank be won over by the beautiful new woman in town? Can Skylar let her guard down long enough to let Hank in? I absolutely adore this series and the Firefly town. It's so much fun and the characters are amazing! I cannot wait for the next in the series!

Between the Sheets!

Between the Sheets is the third book in the Southern Comfort series by Melanie Shawn. This book is Hank Comfort’s love story. He suddenly has new neighbours! Skylar, who moves into the old Thompson place with her precious daughter Luna. As things start to fall into place for Skylar, she doesn’t expect the kindness her quiet neighbour provides. Skylar and Hank become an item as they become best friends. I loved how they transition from reluctantly doing things together, to dealing with the curse, gossiping and well-meaning friends and family, issues with Luna’s father, mystery and more truths about Hank’s mother’s death, the journey to love for this couple is one feel-good trip. I can’t wait for Cheyenne’s story!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
