That’s what people call me… Growing up with the last name Comfort meant that I’d inherited a legacy. In our small town, the older generation of Comfort men were known for three things: hard work, boozing, and tragedy. Some believed the latter was due to a curse that doomed every male in our bloodline to lose his true love tragically. I was of the mind that our fates were in our own hands.
With my father’s passing, my brothers and I were the new generation of Comfort men. We were also known for three things: fighting, flirting, and another F word that I’d never use in mixed company. My oldest brother was the fighter, my baby brother was the flirt, and that left me. I’d earned the nickname Panty Dropper by the time I was legally allowed to drink.
It never bothered me much, until the day I laid eyes on a woman that made me want to be a better man. The only question was, would she see the real me, or would my past and the curse be too much…even for fate?
Reagan “Runaway Bride” York
That’s what people were calling me... Growing up with a single mom who cared more about her next boyfriend than things like paying the electric bill, I was determined to create a stable, respectable life for myself as an adult. And that’s exactly what I’d thought I’d done. I shared a condo overlooking Central Park with my fiancé, who was on the fast track to making partner at the law firm where we were both associates. And which just happened to be owned by his father.
Cut to me walking in on the man I was going to marry, just weeks before our wedding, with his briefs--and I’m not talking about the legal kind--down around his ankles.
Oh, and did I mention the pricy penthouse we shared was a gift from his parents? Talk about putting all my eggs in the wrong basket.
In the blink of an eye, I found myself homeless, jobless, and ringless.
My “fresh start” landed me in a small town, where the nights are hot and the men are hotter. Soon, I found my reputation and job were on the line once again…but this time, I had a feeling it might just be worth it.
NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author Melanie Shawn writes HEAs filled with sweet and sassy heroines, heroes who are cinnamon rolls in the streets alpho-holes in the sheets, casts of supportive *cough: meddling* friends and family who put the fun in funny, toe-curling combustible heat, and sugary sweet “aww” moments that will have your hearts and e-readers melting.
Loving the different approach to this storyline!!!
First I have to say I am so excited for this series. The plot is slightly different than what Melanie Shawn usually writes but it does not disappoint either.
William S. Comfort, a.k.a. Billy "Panty Dropper" Comfort, is everything a woman finds irresistible in a man...southern, charming and good looking. He knows he's got it and uses it in the fact that he is the ultimate ladies man. Random hook ups are never a problem for him. He has quite the reputation in his small town and along with that reputation is a generations old curse to all of the Comfort men. He is the middle of three boys and upon the passing of their father he meets the lady who just may be able to change his ways.
Reagan York's life has been flipped upside down days before her wedding. She finds her fiance cheating on her and flees New York for Georgia. She lands a job at a local family law firm and is the attorney overseeing Billy's father's affairs. Her first encounter with Billy at the reading of the will affects her in a way she just cannot comprehend. She is an orderly individual and does not do things sporadically until meeting Billy. She just cannot figure out why he makes her want to lose control.
From the get go there is such a strong attraction with Billy and Reagan that just burns up the pages. They are so great together and in the midst of seeing what could be with them a potential family secret arises. Together they set out to try and find some answers and along the way find their HEA! This book will have the reader guessing many things, swooning over the Comfort boys and just melting at the way both Billy and Reagan do a complete 180 with their lives in such a short amount of time. I look forward to the story continuing and getting more answers in the next book.
I loved Panty Dropper and I just know I'm going to love all the Comfort brothers. Billy and Reagan were lust at first sight. But after just a little while, it became so much more. The brother with the nickname Panty Dropper would only be dropping one set of panties from here on out. Reagan was just using the lawyer job her friend Nadia told her about as a stepping stone when she caught her ex-fiance cheating. The worst part, she didn't even care that much. She realized she never really loved Blah-blah-Blaine. But when Billy walked in to her law office for the reading of his fathers will, she was drawn to him immediately. She decided she'd have a one night stand. But her heart and her brain couldn't get on the same page. Billy knew it was something more with Reagan right away. Their relationship took off running and it was sweet and sexy. I loved that this story ended with a little bit of intrigue that will be continued in the next book. Something different from the writing duo! Looking forward to more from Melanie Shawn!
I have to be honest, when I read the description of this book I expected it to be filled with mostly sex scenes and not a lot of substance. I was totally wrong, I mean yeah there were steamy parts, and I wasn’t mad about them. But this book was so much more. It had sad parts, funny and even a tiny bit of mystery. I loved Reagan and Billy, Billy may be my new book boyfriend (probably until the next Melanie Shawn book lol). There are so many book opportunities from this new series and fun new characters and I can’t wait to read all of them.
This book was so hard to get into and I don’t really know why. The characters were good enough, the plot was interesting, I just couldn’t for the life of me get into reading this book!! It took me almost three times as long as it normally does and then to get to the end and not have it end on a sort of cliffhanger?!?!!! Ugh…not happy about it!!
I totally enjoyed my first visit to Fire Fly Island. Meeting Reagan and Billy, his siblings and some of the other characters around was a good start. Looking forward to more.
Panty Dropper is the first book in sisters Melanie and Shawna’s new Southern Comfort series. The series is built around the four Comfort siblings who live on the island of Firefly Ga. William (Billy) Comfort is the middle brother with the nickname Panty Dropper. The three brothers are noted for the 3 Fs Fighting, (the oldest Hank) Fucking (Billy) and Flirting the youngest (Jimmy). Added to the three brothers is long lost sister Cheyanne who after the death of their mother when she was five was taken to live with their wealthy maternal grandparents in Connecticut. As the story opens Billy is in a supply closet of the attorney’s office who will be reading his recently deceased father’s will with the temporary receptionist who is preparing to blow him. As she is verbalizing her appreciation for his physical appeal, Billy is mentally and emotionally detached. He realizes that these countless sexual hookups he’s experienced are leaving him feeling empty when they’re done. When he walks into the conference room to hear the reading of the will he is immediately gob smacked at the sight of the beautiful attorney Reagan York, sitting at the end of the conference table. Reagan who has only been in Firefly days after leaving her long time fiancée Blaine, after catching him banging his personal assistant over his desk two weeks before their supposed wedding day. Reagan is equally gob-smacked and befuddled by her overwhelming, all consuming physical attraction to Billy. The brothers are all surprised (shocked) to find their sister Cheyanne sitting at the table. They hadn’t seen or heard from her in the twenty years since their grandparents had dragged her away after her mother’s funeral. In truth they’d practically forgotten she existed. She had always been Billy’s shadow before that fateful day and that was his nickname for her. The minute he realizes who she is, all of his big brother emotions come rushing back to him. He invites both Cheyanne and Reagan to come out to the family bar Southern Comfort which he manages, that night. Reagan is hesitant because she doesn’t know what to do with this attraction she’s feeling for Billy but a very vulnerable Cheyanne asks her to accompany her so she agrees. That evening Cheyanne has a few too many and Billy not knowing where she’s staying decides to take her back to his place. Reagan agrees to come with him and “help.” There’s some very delicious irony in this story. Billy, the Panty Dropper who only does one-night stands is picturing Reagan in a white wedding dress while Reagan who has never done a one-night stand and has only been with Blaine for almost a decade is only looking for one night of uninhibited, no strings sex. Further irony is that Billy and Reagan have more in common than either realizes. Both have lived their lives emotionally closed off. After the death of his mother, sister and his father checking out on his kids by becoming an alcoholic Billy doesn’t want to feel the hurt of loss anymore. After meeting Reagan he realizes he’s just been going through the motions and not really living life. Reagan not wanting to be like her mom who was considered the town slut in the small Alabama town where she was born (the result of her mother’s affair with a married man) did everything she could not to be her mother including not allowing emotions to affect her decision making even in her relationships and following all the rules. After coming to Firefly and meeting Billy she has come to realize that her attempts to live by everyone else’s rules has caused her to lead an unfulfilled life. There are plenty of issues for these two to overcome before they can have their happily ever after. Billy’s reputation as the Panty Dropper, the reputation of his entire family threatens Reagan’s reputation and therefore her career working at the only law firm in Firefly. Compounding the problem, the Comforts and her boss Abernathy are mortal enemies. The gossip train runs fast and furious in this small town where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Every time she’s seen with Billy the whole town knows it. It also doesn’t help with her trust issues after catching her former fiancée cheating on her. There’s something fishy going on with a connection between Reagan’s boss, Cheyanne and her grandparents that could also threaten her career if she digs too deep. I was all set to give this book an unequivocal 5 Stars until the ending. It certainly met my standard for 5 stars of not wanting to put it down until I finished the story. However a big part of the reason I read contemporary romances is I’m a sucker for the happily ever after. And the authors only half deliver on that unwritten promise from C.R. writers. My larger issue is the book ends in a big reveal that is a cliffhanger. At this point the reveal isn't really shocking but the fact that it is left hanging to be resolved in later books is disappointing. I can see this stretching out over the next two or three books depending upon whether Cheyanne gets her own book. I absolutely hate cliffhangers. As a result, I’ll still give this one 4 stars which is pretty high praise. I just can’t in good conscience give it five.
Panty Dropper is a great start to Melanie Shawn's new Southern Comfort series. It has a little bit of everything you could want; romance, wittiness, heat and intrigue.
Billy "Panty Dropper" Comfort is a ladies man. That's the reputation he has and judging by his nickname, that isn't hard to believe. He runs the family bar and with his father's passing, he and his brothers are trying to get all of the affairs in order. Oh and let's not forget the family curse.
Reagan York is new to town and is working to rebuild her life. She's recently called off her engagement and she's moved as far away from where her ex is as she could. However, her Mom and her ex don't seem to understand that it's over and she's not going to come home and marry a cheater.
When Billy and Reagan meet at the reading of his father's will, the attraction is immediate. Of course the one time that Billy wants something other than just one night, that's all that Reagan is willing to give him. Will these two be able to get on the same page or will it be one and done?
I really liked that there was a hint of mystery in this story, which is a new thing for Melanie Shawn. There was also added heat in this one, which fit these characters perfectly! I really enjoyed these two characters and the supporting characters were strong as well, certainly setting us up for a great continuation of this series!
What a great beginning to a new series! Billy Comfort is the middle brother and the biggest player in town. I think all the brothers were affected in different ways when their mother died when they were children. Now that their father has died, they are all gathered for the reading of the will. The forgotten sister Cheyenne was there. I was so glad to see how Billy protected her just like he did when they were young. Their poor sister is a whole another story that I am not sure about. Reagan is the new attorney in the office taking care of the will. I was so proud of how she has made something of herself after the way she was raised. I can’t imagine being so attracted to Billy from the beginning, especially after all she hears about him. As with most small towns, everyone is in each other’s business with strong ideas. I so enjoyed watching Reagan and Billy get to know each other, and how Billy started changing. There are strange things going on that concern the Comfort’s dead mother. I look forward to the next book to learn more about some of the secrets that people are keeping. I feel there is something going on that could affect so many people, and not all in a good way. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Whenever I pick up a book by these talented authors, I know it will be a winner. This first story in Southern Comfort proved my point. The Comfort “boys” are known as the 3 F’s. (you’ll need to read it to find out!) and to make them more intriguing , they are cursed. In this introduction we get to meet Hank (oldest), Jimmy (youngest) and Billy. This is Billy’s story. He’s the charmer and known as the Panty Dropper. But behind that charm is a man hiding his real feelings. When Reagan York’s life was turned upside down, she left the big city for a job as a junior partner in this small town. She meets the Comfort brothers during the reading of their father’s will. An afternoon filled with surprises in addition to an instant attraction between Billy and Reagan. But the story is more than a romance. It’s a story about how one’s childhood experiences will influence the adult they become. That family dynamics, especially if there is physical and or mental abuse will leave deep scars. Evident with the Comfort men. In Reagan’s case, not only her youth, but also her immediate past has left her doubting herself. While the plot is engaging, it’s the complexity and imperfections of the characters, both main and secondary that make this story extra especially. Another winner for this dynamic duo. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Billy and Reagan’s love story in Panty Dropper by the amazing duo of Melanie Shawn, book one in their new Southern Comfort series makes another perfect match. I never know where I am going or getting into with a new series but this one quenches a real thirst and puts the importance back in family. After Regan “Fancy” York finds her fiancé cheating on her and losing her job and home, she moves to a small town to get far away. Billy “Panty Dropper” Comfort isn’t looking for more than a good time. But when these two meet sparks fly, fireworks are set off, and they can provide enough electricity for the entire town. Suddenly, Billy no longer wants any other woman, he just knows Regan is the one and he’s done looking at any other woman.
Melanie Shawn wrote a wonderful, hot, and moving story that should not be missed. They provided a tale rich with emotions, sexual chemistry, humor, secrets, and charming characters giving Billy and Reagan a chance at love and hopefully forever together. I highly recommend Panty Dropper to other readers and can’t wait to read the rest of the series to learn more about the Comfort family secrets.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Wow loved this book and what’s to come! Billy knows what he has and uses it to his advantage, but lately he’s gotten bored of the same tricks and games and the reputation he has. Reagan’s life has been turned upside down, leaving her fiancé after finding out he cheated on her and moves away to start over. She handles the reading of Billy’s father’s will and sparks fly between them that they can’t explain the pull. When Reagan finds out about Billy’s reputation, she’s hesitant to get involved with him and tries to stay away, but the pull between them is so strong they finally decide to give in while dealing with the small town’s judgment. The end of this book really got me into it because of the suspense and questions surrounding Billy’s father’s will and his mother’s previous death. I got so invested and can’t wait to see what happens and what secrets come to light in their small town. I can’t wait for the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
When the first book in a new series starts out with, “Sugar, you are one hot and tasty snack of a man!”, you know it’s going to be a great story. Another perfect addition to the small-town series that Melanie Shawn is known for. I love our new setting for this series and how can you not love the Comfort family. It was nice learning about the town, the ‘secrets’, and of course the colorful residents that are part of Firefly Island which also includes Kevin Bacon (the pig) and Skittles (the parrot). The story and Billy and Reagan was great. Two people who both have a not so great past but are trying to be more with each other. I liked the hint of suspense and kind of had an idea at one point where this was headed, and my assumption was right and it was sort of confirmed at the end. I’m definitely excited and intrigued to see what happens next with the ‘missing trust’ and of course can’t wait for our next visit to Firefly Island.
Starting with the title “Panty Dropper” – you know this is going to be a great book. Then to learn it is about three hot brothers – the Comfort brothers – you know you are in for at least two more great books. Billy was a great way to start the series – the middle brother – the player who gets hooked in the first chapter by a woman who is more serious than his normal type and who he immediately wants to change his “two night” rule for. Regan (Fancy) York is a no-nonsense lawyer who has been trying to fit in and follow the “rules” for years to buck her unconventional upbringing by her mother. She goes to law school, meets the “right” boy and plans to marry – until it all falls apart and she moves to a small town to work in a small law firm practice and meets Billy on her first day. He turns her world upside down. Their relationship is so fun to read and the book leaves you wanting more of the Comfort family story. I can’t wait to read Jimmy’s book!
I absolutely love Melanie Shawn books. I was so excited when they came it with a new series. Reagan worked for her fiance's family law firm in NYC. After walking in on her finance having sex in his desk. She not only broke things off, she moved out of their apartment and moved to a small town called Firefly. She got a job at a law firm there. One of her cases was the reading of the will for the Comfort families dad. That is where she met Billy. Billy is a cocky Playboy, hence the name "Panty Dropper". There was an instant attraction. The Comfort boys were knows for the the"Fs" and also "The Comfort Curse", can this curse ever be broken? What an amazing story. I couldn't put it down. There is a HEA, however, with a little twist. Definitely a must read. I can't wait for book 2.
What a fun and unique start to a brand new series by Melanie Shawn.
Billy Comfort and his two brothers have a very interesting back story, and they each have a trait attached to their names that each of them do a great job of living up to. Billy's of course is "panty dropper".
When Reagan shows up in town after a broken engagement and has a new job at the law offices in town, she is ready for a completely fresh start in life and doesn't have time for drama or another man. What she wasn't ready for was her eyes locking with Billy's during a will reading for his father. Saying she can't be with him, and doing, are two totally different things, that's for sure.
This book was FANTASTIC. I loved the different story line and cannot wait for the continuation of the story line in the next book. Melanie Shawn, never stop writing these books!
Panty Dropper is a steamy, hot read!! Everyone needs to run out and grab this book!! This book has a heroine who is looking for true love and a hero who is just looking to hook up....that is until these two meet!! The journey they take is full of emotions of love, loss and rejection!! The series will continue with Billy's brothers and sister!! The past must be discovered before the Comfort family can rest!! In this book Billy and his brothers are trying to uncover all the secrets of the past!! Hopefully that Comfort curse can be wiped out!! Love this book and can't wait to discover all the many secrets that this family holds!! Don't hesitate to get this book. You will not be able to put it down once you start reading it!!
What an awesome book! A little different from your typical Melanie Shawn book, but so so good! Reagan and Billy have chemistry right from the start that you can feel jumping off the page. They both have history and a difficult childhood which makes it all the sweeter. When Billy has to deal with not only grieving his father, but then finding out about his mother’s long lost trust, will he turn toward Reagan or do what he typically does and shut down? Reagan was suppose to be married, when her ex-fiancé and mother show up to convince her to come back and get married, who will she choose? The one with the life she always thought she wanted or the one with a little more bumps but soul? Loved this book!!
What an amazing new book and series. The opening chapter shows us the “Panty Dropper” in action and it just gets better from then on. Only one lucky lady looses her panties - repeatedly in this book. Billy is drawn instantly to Reagan and I loved watching every minute of him realising his feelings and trying to fight it, and then giving in to it and wooing her. I loved Hank and Jimmy, and my reaction to Cheyenne was very similar to Jimmy’s - my jaw was in the floor!! The unravelling story line along with the growing romance was expertly woven and I can’t wait to see where it ends while getting to know each Comfort sibling a bit better. However I do think Kevin Bacon may have won my heart! 💗
Reagan wants a fresh start after her fiance is caught cheating on her a few weeks before the wedding so she packs up everything and moves to Firefly.
Billy Comfort goes through women so quickly he doesnt even know their names. He is dealing with his alcoholic father's death along with managing the family bar.
I think this book is by far my favorite Melanie Shawn book ever. The story keeps you glued to the pages to find out more about the 'family curse', the sister that grew up with their grandparents and not with them and whether or not Reagan and Billy can find their way together with his reputation and her mother and ex-fiance trying to get Reagan back in time for her wedding that she canceled.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just when I thought Melanie Shawn could not come up with a better series, they do. The Comfort brothers are going to be fun to read and the bit of mystery that is happening makes this book that much better. Billy and Reagan were such fun characters to read, and the other two Comfort brothers have me already chopping to get the next book in the series. Reagan left her job and town behind to move to this new town and start fresh after her ex fiance cheated on her. Billy has always been known as the town "Panty Dropper". All that changes the first time Billy lays eyes on Reagan. The suspense that was also added to this book was a complete surprise compared to other books by these ladies but I loved it and can't wait for more.
What a way to start a new series! I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with Panty Dripper but as I should have know with this dynamic writing duo I do not have to worry. This was such a good book. I found myself trying to savor it but alas I devoured it instead. Regan “Fancy” York find her fiancé cheating on her and moves to a small town to get away. Billy “Panty Dropper” Comfort isn’t looking for more than a good time. But when these two meet sparks fly! Suddenly, Billy wants more just when Regan wants a one and done. Such a great book. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series and learn all the Comfort family secrets.
What a great start to this new series. I love the small town, the characters and the story line is romantic but with an air of mystery too. For me there was a story inside the story. Billy and Reagan were a perfect match. There was chemistry between them from the first moment that they meant. Together they create lots of sparks. You add Billy's charm with the ladies, Reagan ex that just will not give up and her mother that wants all the wrong things for her daughter and you have a really great read from start to finish. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
OMGoodness!! I loved this book! A great start to the Southern Comfort series! It's a feel good, steamy, funny & moving romance. Great characters, & small town charm. Billy Comfort, is known as the Panty Dropper. He earned the reputation. Now his life feels empty. But everything changed the day he meet Reagan York. She just moved to Firefly Island. She ended her engagement & got a job as an attorney here in town. Never expecting to have such an extreme attraction to her new client. Billy & Reagan, make the pages sizzle. Can't wait for Jimmy'story! A MUST READ!!
This romance really got to me and in a very good way. I just loved everything about it. The main characters are very human, in that they are funny, they are complicated, they have issues and the writing is engaging and seemlessly guides us through the journey these two are on. This book was longer than many others and that gave the characters time to grow and also more depth to the story. I can't wait to see what the other Comfort-siblings will be up to. I finished with a BIG book hangover. Highly recommended!
I kept thinking with all the high reviews, it must just be me. I was frankly, bored to tears. It just went on and on and on. Going nowhere. Covering no ground. Nothing new. Nothing to hold my interest. But all these 4- and 5-star reviews made me keep trying. Till I went back and discovered only 2 of them are actually verified purchasers. That may explain a lot. For me, this is a definite ‘no’, and is not a book I would recommend. Certainly not, if, like me, you actually had to buy it!
Or in this case William "Panty dropper" Comfort is known for his sexual exploits and his family curse. But when a new lawyer comes to town and is in his eye sight everything else falls away...and he sees and wants is her. But there's a mystery afoot and his family is about to find some interesting things. Even if it involves her boss and his dads worst enemy
Her mother condemned her with the name ‘Fancy Cox’ before her stepfather, Hal, convinced her mother Tina otherwise, allowing her to change it to his when she was ten.
Told in dual POV, the authors graced us with altering perspectives from the central characters.
Billy ‘panty dropper’ Comfort is no ordinary man. He’s been with legions of women. A legend. Casanova’s got nothing on him.
Cheyenne is the prodigal sister after a prolonged absence of twenty years. Their maternal grandparents physically removed her kicking and screaming at five years old with barely a murmur from their father, the day of their mother’s funeral. His father, was a verbally, physically abusive, lying, thieving, alcoholic/drug dealer...” he was a good man, but weak. Too weak to face the fact that his rich in-laws, snatched his daughter from him, and he was powerless to stop it.
Billy’s a smitten kitten and Reagan is equally afflicted.
She stopped by her now ex-fiancé, Blaine’s office and caught him in flagrante delicto, his pants literally down and his assistant bent over his desk.
She’d been shocked because of the woman’s position. She was bent over his desk, doggy style. Blaine had never taken her from behind. Every time she tried to flip over he’d stop her and say he wanted to see her face. At first, I’d thought it was sweet... until it was boring.
She broke up with him, moved out of their condo and since she worked at his father’s firm, she found a new job. Nadia Carson was her college roommate and she saw a post about a job opening, she asked her about it, and three days later moved from NYC to small-town living in Firefly, Georgia.
She’d never been assertive in her personal life. She’d allowed Blaine to take control in their relationship, in and out of the bedroom. He decided that she should work for his father, he decided where they lived, but he insisted that they accept the condo his parents had gifted him.
The few times she’d assumed the role as the aggressor, he’d immediately rejected her stating that he liked the way they “usually” did things. Everything from movies to paper towels...were on his terms. A one-sided relationship. They may have ended because of his infidelity, but it had been doomed. She was partially responsible, because she was biddable.
Nadia told her about the rumours of Daisy and Billy in the closet before the reading of the will. In the supply closet. Wait. He’d had sex with her in the afternoon, and I’d gone home with him that night. For the first time since this affair began it felt dirty, and not in the good way. I wanted to go home and take at least ten showers. Apparently, he’s been dipping his pen in her company’s ink and not only with her. For whatever reason, that tidbit of information had served as a ‘Panty dropper repellent’ for resisting his charms.
Mr. Comfort was an outspoken man and he and Abernathy frequently feuded over the years. It trickled down to the second generation. Hank and Abernathy’s oldest son had an epic fight that landed Tanner in the ICU. Speculation is that Billy deflowered Abernathy’s only daughter, Greer. And Jimmy and Landry, his youngest son, were caught with enough acid to be charged with distribution. The reasons to stay away from him were piling up fast and furious.
Tina, Reagan’s mother is campaigning to get Blaine and herself back together, their joint trip to the wedding planner, evidently, Blaine got Tina in the breakup and vice versa. There is some awkwardness when they arrive in GA with her wedding dress expecting a wedding.
There are secrets surrounding their mother’s suddenly suspicious ‘accidental’ death, a journal of clues associated to a trust worth millions, pages having disappeared from the police accident report, the veiled threat from Jennings Abernathy to Reagan, coincidentally a frequent visitor at their grandparents home and evidently blackmailing their mother.
This ends in a cliffhanger and a revelation that Cheyenne might be their half-sister.

Pantry Dropper is a good start to a new series. The men are charming and sweet and the women funny and smart.
I was immediately drawn into Panty Dropper. I like the premise of the book and the series. It held the same humor and romance as other series but it also has a mystery suspense element as well. I liked this mystery aspect by this writing duo. It kept me entertained and engaged in the story.
This book focuses on one of 3 Comfort men. Billy is the resident charmer in this group. I always enjoy reading about the main characters meet cute. I loved the Billy didn't know what was coming when he met Regan. He wanted more from the beginning but unfortunately Regan had other ideas.
I liked Regan. She runs away from her current big city life to the small town of Firefly but quickly fits into this community. Love strikes fast with her and Billy but she's reluctant. I understood her reluctance towards Billy as his nickname is the title of this book, but I felt she did toss out a lot of missed signals.
The other characters were interesting and helped bring this book to life. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger but we don't have to wait long until the next book in the series
I received a copy of this book for a honest review
