The bestselling authors of Yesterday’s Gone, 12, and No Justice bring you a brand new series that blends mystery and suspense into pulse-pounding, revenge-seeking thriller action.
A collection of corrupt men inside the justice system ruined his cousin Frank’s life, and now Stan Manning is going to make them pay. Instead of starting at the bottom, he enlists the help of his old friend and special ops army veteran, Moses White.
Frank Grimm left behind a notebook with a list of interesting names. At the top was Senator Royse Mickelson.
Stan assembles a small crew to build evidence against the Senator to bring him to justice, but when the senator dies in a terrible — and suspicious — car accident on the way to the police station after his public arrest, Stan must once again go into hiding.

Nolon King writes smart psychological thrillers designed to leave you on the edge of your seat. His stories are dark, twisty, and often decidedly close to home.
He’s not afraid to explore the darker side of human nature through stories featuring families torn apart by secrets and lies. If you enjoy reading authors like Darcey Bell and Harlan Coban, movies like A Simple Favor and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, or shows like Ozark and Dead to Me, you’ll love Nolon King.
When not writing you will find Nolon drinking black coffee and observing humans in their natural habitats.
Gripping from the first page. The story follows Stan Manning as he seeks his revenge on a bunch of corrupt officials. They ruined his cousins life,so he will run theirs. At the top of his list is a senator who is very influential. The story is full of action, grit and thrilling moments of suspense. I liked the varying POVs throughout especially as the author identifies who was speaking each time. There were many twists in this story and the action is plausible, not fantastical which keeps the book feeling real. Great job!!
The book definitely entertained me with action Frank and his team. That being said, there were a number of characters for the suspense book leaving me a little lost of who was who and who did what. The book has a lot of information that hones in on the realism of different parts of the book. The twist and suspense was intense.
I loved this book because it was very well written. The plot was about Stan, who was trying to avenge his cousin, and to find the corrupt officials who had ruined Frank. The story was fast paced and full of suspense and twists which kept the reader glued right up to the last page. I liked the characters who were well rounded and interesting.
Well I thought it was pretty good but it left me with two questions. What was going on when Stan was diving, the head ache and vision problems? And who the heck is after them? OK three what does Jeanette have to do with it and who hired her? The book left me with more questions than answers because I'm pretty sure I know who had the senator killed.
Either a spin-off or a second chapter- Stan is out to carry on where Frank got stopped. But who else is out there trying to stop Stan or help him find justice? I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I was given an ARC by the author for my honest review.
That made no sense at all. I never thought about not finishing a book before but this one was pretty close. Put a bunch of words together and call it a book. That's what I thought.
Interesting story with interesting characters. Lots of suspense and intrigue. Would.definjtely enjoy more books by these.authors. would like.to.know their back stories though.
You Can't Undo the Past, But You Can Protect the Future (Or Die Trying)
Cold Justice is a terrific vengeance story. The conspiracy-laden political thriller elements seem influenced by current events, but the book is wholly fictional, without being factual or partisan.
Reading it allowed me the vicarious satisfaction of fighting injustice and cruelty as some of my own personal triggers were pulled. The characters are damaged but formidable and I really liked them. There is deep love and a kind of family bond among the four main characters that's appealing and memorable.
I'd like to thank talented authors Nolon King and David W. Wright and publisher Sterling & Stone for the gift of a free copy of the book. It's my own pleasure which prompts me to write this review: it's wonderful, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
I almost gave up on this book more than once but stuck with it till the bitter end. I usually love Nolon King's work but I just couldn't get into this one at all. I found it quite confusing at times and quite often had to go back and read chapters again.
