It has a special place in my heart, since it was my first murder mystery book. The romance was much more dominate than the actual crime solving parts of the book, and it was mainly based on pure coincidence. Even though it wasn't perfect, I enjoyed it a lot and i'll always remember it as my first.

This was a book that I got from a Free Little Library…I thought I would start with that disclaimer.

This was an okay Thriller but I don’t think I will ever think about this book after I finish this review.

The weirdest part was we got told the name of the killer within the first chapter of the book…but you realize that even though you know his name you don’t know how he fits in with the MMC/FMC until later in the book. I also thought that his book was about 100 ages longer than it needed to be. There was a really elaborate setup for how the MMC/FMC meet that I think was not necessary. I feel like their meet cute could have been 25 pages instead of 100.

Those are really my only comments, it was a predictable thriller, and if you read the blurb about the book you could predict most of how the story goes…that isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy reading it, I just don’t think there is anything memorable about it.

*sigh* Ever read a book by a really great author only to be totally disappointed? Such is "Lady Killer" by one of my favorite authors, Meryl Sawyer. It sounds like a fantastic story...A demented serial killer who preys on smart, successful, professional women sets his sights on a prominent and popular columnist for the San Francisco Herald. I was ready for some chilling cat-and-mouse type mayhem that I couldn't stop reading. Instead, it merely slogged and meandered and seemed to take me forever to read. I couldn't get into the characters all that much (which is very unusual when I read Ms. Sawyer's books) and the romance was just meh. Why, oh why?!

Methinks I need to re-read MS's "Unforgettable" again. Now THAT was top notch writing.

Exciting. Definitely not a on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of thriller but keeps you reading. Readers will devour this intense, multi-narrated romantic-suspense thriller. It is both powerful and comical as the readers delve into each and every narration, which they will come to appreciate as they learn about the drive and motive to both sides of the story. Sawyer brings the characters to life and readers will stick to the book until they have read the very last page (well, I did at least). The ending felt a little bit rushed; we don't know the fate of the culprit and it should have an epilogue. I look forward to the next novel. Recommended. 4/5 stars.

Life style reporter gets involved finding a serial killer. She has a fling with a man in Hawaii who turns out to be the investigative reporter hired to work on ther serial killer story. Her father is a former reporter. She and the investigative reporter get together. Her friend is killed - the killer is a courier - and eventually takes her. She is found and safe. All ends well.

Totally engrossing story. Well written, engaging characters. The story kept me going. Even though the killer is revealed early, it's the plotting and cat & mouse, that keeps the reader involved. Will look for more by this author.
