Adam is closing in on his university graduation, and more than ready to completely let loose on this much needed trip. But what happens when he lets himself get too loose, and finds himself in a situation that he might not be able to sweet talk himself out of?

Hannah never misses with her books. I’ve read all of her books and although Adams book hasn’t been released yet he has always been my favorite character. Being able to have a few chapters from his POV was my favorite thing ever. Seeing Tyler and Gracie relationship start to take place before everything happens in Blissful Hook had me giggling the entire time. And let’s not forget the OG, Oakley and Ava, you can never stop loving them.

now this. THIS NOVELLA.

oh my gosh. i was so so so so so so so so so so so so lucky to read this book for the first time again.

following my favourite people, Gracie and Tyler, Lee and Ava && ADAM!!! on their mexico trip. this novella is short and spicy…just the way i like it. the gang and their trip to mexico had me SWOOOOOOOONing , GASPING and just wet wet wet . following all of them and their individual sights of the trip was a 🤰🏽 … for me. i enjoyed this book so so much. just seeing my babies again has me crying.

going to Vancouver next year so…hopefully daddy tyler is in the airport <3

hannah has outdone herself again with her FIFTH book out now…not long until VB is out!!!💗💕💓💗💕

Ughh this was so good! I’ve missed the gang, and I think this was the perfect dose! I will say this book only made me more excited for Adam‘s book!

I think once you read the first book and the second book you feel attached to the characters, and you feel like you are apart of the family. All the POVS in the book made the read so much quicker 😭💗

I will say it time and time again I love Hannah and her writing. Everything is just so fluidly smooth..it always just WORKS!

The. Banter. Is. 10/10.

If you have missed Gracie and Tyler banter ! We got it babyyy! I love how it filled in the gap between book 1 and 2, and we also get a look into their past when their future is already written.

Between Periods is a novella in the author’s Swift Hat-Trick series. It should be read after Lucky Hit (Oakley & Ava’s book) and before Blissful Hook (Tyler & Gracie’s book). This novella takes place about a year after the events of Lucky Hit.

Between Periods follows our friend group (Oakley/Ava, Tyler, Gracie and Adam) on a trip to Mexico. Oakley is a year into his professional hockey career and Ava is finishing up university. Meanwhile, Gracie (Oakley’s younger sister) and Tyler (Oakley’s best friend and also a professional hockey player) spend most of the trip fighting their feelings for each other. That doesn’t work out too well for them on this trip though. Adam spends the trip observing his friends and sticking his dip in places where it doesn’t belong.

This was a fun way to catch up with the group! It definitely should be read before moving on in the series because Tyler and Gracie’s book is next and I’m stoked after what occurred in this novella!

This is a novella you will WANT to read if you’ve been following hannah’s swift har trick trilogy so far!

We get so much detail & adventure with all her characters in one novella. How did she manage to make a novella feel like a full length book & have so much detail that I was hooked from the start… i have no clue.

But of course, I will not complain.

I got an early Beta Copy of this one today & I finished it. I went to bed early simply so no one could bother me & I could get my reading done. I’m in love with all these characters & I want to live in this world forever.

We get chapters from all their POV, which is amazing! I loved getting a glimpse of their vacation from all of them.
Tyler & Gracie will forever hold a special place in my heart. I love them beyond words. They may be Hannah’s book babies, but sometimes they feel like mine by how i relate to them & how often i think of them!🥹

There will never be a novella that tops this one for me, it will be impossible. Not only from the characters, but just how much time & effort that was put into this!

I laughed, I swooned, & had to change because I got soaked😮‍💨🥵

This novella takes place before the epilogue in Lucky Hit and before the events of Blissful Hook. It's relatively short but it packs a punch. There is so much that happens in here and I loved every single second.

Ava and Oakley are still as in love as ever. Are they too cute and in love with each other? Does it make me sick? Eh. POSSIBLY. But they are adorable and I love them and that jet ski scene? I C O N I C. It will live in my mind forever.

Tyler and Gracie? Oh my god. I know I'm going to love them. Both of these babies are hurting so much but the chemistry they have is explosive. And even though Tyler claims he doesn't have any feelings for Gray, we all know he's just a big fat hockey playing LIAR.

And Adam? God I already cannot wait for his book. He's such a sweetheart. But also, my dude. Stop sleeping with all the ladies LOL. That scene on the beach... Y i k e s lol.

I loved getting to see the crew altogether and I can't wait to finish this trilogy and see what else this group gets up to!

Hannah and Mia both demanded that I read this before I start my ARC of Vital Blindside and OMFG WAS THEY RIGHT!!!!
I wish I had read this before Blissful Hook, I loved seeing more of Ava and Oakley, I’ve missed them!! 🥹
I loved seeing the beginning of Ty and Gracie, but it broke my heart knowing how hard Ty denied his feelings and shut Gracie out. They’re meant to be and I’m so glad they got their happy ending in blissful hook! 🥺
I loved this lil novella and I can’t wait to reread it over and over again!!

Ahhhh! I was dying for this novella!

Between Periods follows Oakley, Ava, Tyler, Gracie and Adam on their vacation to Mexico. While I was excited to see more from Oakley and Ava - I was sooo excited to see the trip that really started Tyler and Gracie's relationship.

Let me tell you the immediate push and pull between Tyler and Gracie was *chef's kiss*. I loved every single one of their POV chapters. The tension and repartee in this novella are everything - it perfectly sets the scene for Blissful Hook.

Adam's POV was a nice preview before Vital Blindside which will be released later this year. If you love sports-themed romances, with a ton of steam and the best alphahole men, you should DEF read the Swift Hat Trick series.

I read lucky hit a while ago and read this to like remember shit before i start book 2 but this book shouldn’t even be considered a novella. It’s the start of Gracie and Tylers relationship so I have no clue why it wasn’t included in their book —seeing as this was basically a novella about just them— when some people skip novellas. This had so much information about Tyler and Gracie that I fear you need to know about before starting Blissful Hook. (also I fucking hate Tyler xx)

I was gonna skip it as an irrelevant type of extended epilogue to the first book, BUT even though it is just a short, fluffy and a steamy novella AND probably doesn’t influence any main events to the point you wouldn’t be able to easily follow the plot without it, it nicely sets the stage for G&T’ story in the second book.

So, worth an hour of my time.

This was a fun, spicy novella. I really enjoyed getting more of Ava and Oakley. The bits we get of Gracie and Tyler in this novella have made me so excited to read their book. I really liked just seeing the whole group together on holiday in this one it was a fun, easy read.

Between Periods is a novella surrounding a group of friends on vacation that will make you smile, cry, laugh and swoon… and sweat, in the best way *cough cough*. If you have read both Lucky Hit and Blissful Hook, this is the perfect book to fill in the missing pieces of what happened that time in Mexico… But if you haven’t read those books yet, please read Lucky Hit before reading Between Periods.

It was such a wholesome feeling to see the OG friend group back together again. Getting to see a POV from each character enriched the entire experience, because I feel like I was able to experience multiple books at one time while being entwined together.

And just because it’s a novella, don’t let that fool you into thinking it isn’t spicy because babes… it is SPICY! Everything Tyler and Gracie. Oakley and Ava on the jet skit—holy crap. Everything about this novella is perfection and the perfect taste of summer, along with a bite of nostalgia for our first babies.

I’m so grateful to have Hannah as a friend and to be able to read her book babies ahead of time, and I’m a very honest person so when I tell you to read this, and you won’t regret it… I fully mean it. Thank me later, and get so so so pumped for Vital Blindside, Adam’s book, coming soon!
