Avoiding Temptation To the outside world Blake Ellington may be a rich playboy, but on the inside he is a caring man that will do anything for his family. When he finds himself in charge of his ten month old niece, Katie, for a week he is out of his element, so he hires Abby Thomas from Practically Perfect Nannies. This is Abby’s last job as a nanny before she is sets out to find her dream job as a pastry chef. As Blake and Abby work together to care for Katie, they find themselves drawn to each other, but can Blake convince Abbey to cross the employee/employer line? A well written sweet romance with an enjoyable mix of steam and humor. I immediately fell in love with Blake, Abbey and Katie. This is the first book I have read by Marie Tuhart, but I will definitely be reading more of her hot romances in the future. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.
This was a wonderful story, it's the story of Blake and Abby. Blake is a very rich man and is also known as a great playboy. Abby works for the Practically Perfect Nannies and has a final babysitting job with Blake. The storyline and the build-up are wonderfully described. The Chemistry and the attraction is palpable between them from the start. This is my first book by Ms Tuhart and I'm glad I did because I enjoyed this story and will definitely be reading more from her. Will Abby take the bold step and start a relationship with Blake now that she's working for him or will she let the day go by and focus more on her job after this job? This is definitely recommended and a pleasure to read
I received a Advance Reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a nice addition to the perfect nannies series and the first I read from this author. It was a slow burn and very low steam type of romance but a good story nonetheless. I actually felt sorry for Blake as even Abby made many assumptions about him just because he was rich. I did find myself laughing at times, so I would recommend. I received an advanced copy and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
Marie Tuhart's contribution to the Practically Perfect Nannies series is a novella-length sweet romance with lots of chuckle-out-loud moments. The steam level is low, but the attraction can still be felt and it's a great uplifting story with two totally likeable and relatable main characters, an adorable baby girl and a well-deserved HEA. I received an ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
Blake Ellington outside persona has painted him the playboy tycoon. so wrong the media are.. Blake is a loyal, devoted son. Who will do anything for his mother. When she falls & breaks her leg. He steps up to get his mother Maggie the best care. Mom didn't need her son to pay for her care. She needed Blake to take care of his 10 month old niece. What! He was in the middle of business negotiations with acquiring another company to help build & grow. He is a workaholic, not a family man. But he also knows how to treat his family. His mother worked two jobs to take care of him & Rebecca. He can take care of Katie while his Rebecca & Jack are out of the country for a week. How hard can it be? Little did tycoon Blake realize taking care of a toddler is not as easy as he thought. How can mom do this everyday for Rebecca? I guess I better take up on mom's suggestion & call Practically Perfect Nannies.
Abby Thomas is on vacation for a week from her position at Practically Perfect Nannies Agency. She is one of their best nannies. But she needs time off, to figure out her career goals. She has a passion for cooking & now that she has finished pastry school. She wants to open her own business. But she doesn't have the funds. After helping her siblings out thru college, finishing her own degree, working several jobs. She has made it, with little debt. This week is to rejuvenate & decide her future. While Abby packs for her vacation. Her boss calls to inform her she is in desperate need for a 24/7 nanny for a rich client. Abby is about to say no, until she is told the client will pay 4x her normal salary. Abby was more than willing to forgo her vacation for the money. What Abby wasn't in for was to have feelings for the tycoon & his beautiful daughter? Wait where is the mother of his child? Typical rich father, who doesn't have a bond with their child? Abby knows how that feels, considering while growing up & fending for herself, & her siblings. Their mother was trying to get the next big fish to take care of her. She never showed, love, or concern for her children. Abby might have had to take care of her brother & sister. But she was never going to have a child & not show them love. Katie was easily a loveable child. But Abby's first meeting was hilarious, & typical for a man. She goes to the upskate apartment, with a concierge to be given the key, & told that Mr. Ellington's was expecting her. She walks in to not even a Hello. Here, the baby has been crying all night, won't eat, I don't know what is wrong with Katie. I need some sleep before my meeting in 5 hours. Here is my CC get whatever you need for the baby. Abby, is in total shock. But she gets the job done. Blake cannot believe what he hears. Wait! That is just it, Blake has slept, finished his meeting & hasn't heard a peep. What happened to Katie & the Nanny? The moment he walks out of his office Blake is in for the shock of his life. The apartment, is cleaned, along with katie, who is happy in a high chair? Wait, where did the baby furniture come from. And who has cooked? Blake gets to realize maybe he has been missing something in his life. Sure he can run a company, help businesses. Be anonymous when it comes to his charities. But to think he could have a family. That just doesn't seem possible. But with Abby Thomas everything is possible.
Can Abby stay professional while drewling over this irresistible tycoon. I have too, I cannot be blinded by these playboy types. How can I find out more about this big, hearted, loving, caring woman taking care of my niece. I want to find out more about her. I want more from her than being a Nanny. I want to eat her food, and her up everyday. Can I actually be falling for this beauty from inside & out? The kisses are magical, Blake hasn't treated me with contempt. He has listened to all my suggestion & advice over Katie. Now that I know that it's his niece, could this mean he doesn't have a girlfriend? Read & find out what happens between Abby & Blake Thank the author for making this story, seem real. No lustful trash, honest to goodness romance. With, desire, passion, doubts, & flaws with these to characters. I appreciate they didn't make a horrible mistake with the pompous villain be the plot of the story. This was about Abby & Blake. how they communicated together, fell for one another, touched each other in ways that no one else could.
The only thing I wish was that they had another scene together, going to one of his charity balls together. Maybe having to Epiloges. One how they build their lives together, another with a proposal & them walk down the aisle, which Katie as their flower girl.
Falling for the nanny…it’s a total cliché but there’s something tempting about Abby. Just when his life was going smoothly, Blake’s mother falls and winds up in the hospital. With no one else to care for his niece, he agrees to take care of her. How hard could it be? Boy was he ever wrong. Who knew that a baby could scream for so long? In over his head, he hires a nanny. From the minute Abby arrives, she takes control. He’s astounded by her skills but unprepared for his intense attraction to her. The timing couldn’t be more wrong. Plus, he’s not some cliché. He can handle it, right? All logic flies out the window when he kisses her. It’s only for a week but his heart doesn’t agree. Can Abby be more than a temporary nanny? Can she see him as more than her boss?
Temporary Nanny for the Tycoon is a steamy romance I couldn’t stop reading. From the start to finish, I was hooked. It all comes down to the characters and romantic tension. Abby and Blake are thrown together and while it’s awkward at first, soon the sizzle of attraction takes over. I connected with both Abby and Blake. Abby is a wonderful character and knows how to take charge. Blake is thrown off his game by suddenly being thrust into caring for an infant. The romantic tension is simmering just under the surface and oh so yummy. The way these two interact had an almost romantic comedy feel. Great chemistry, misunderstandings, and an adorable little baby at the heart of it all. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. The plot moves at a great pace with descriptive narration and a tight cast of characters. There’s a lovely depth of feeling to this story. Romance readers will love Temporary Nanny for the Tycoon, as I did. Highly recommend!
A Bachelor uncle suddenly charged with takIng care of his ten month old niece when grandma gets hospitalized is definitely a child care crisis. Especially when said uncle has absolutely no experience in taking care of an infant. Thank goodness for Practically Perfect Nannies! Blake Ellington runs a billion dollar corporation but wrangling a his wiggly niece isn't in his wheelhouse. Enter Abby Thomas, the answer to a prayer. She's calm, efficient, caring, a helluva cook and beautiful. With a few well placed words she has him doing some self-reflection about the way he interacts with those around him. She also slowly but surely educates him in child care as he bonds with his adorable niece. How can he not be drawn to her? Abby is well aware of his rich playboy persona and yeah, she doesn't "do that." Full realization of their feelings and some open hones communicating leads down the path to happily ever after.
I loved how sweet and easy to read this story was. Things started out so crazy for Blake, his entire world was flipped upside down quite quickly and his coping skills weren’t the best. Thank heavens for Practically Perfect Nannies! But my goodness, so many assumptions were made by Abby in such a short amount of time when it came to Blake! I honestly felt sorry for him, even though he didn’t know her thoughts and accusations because she was a professional and dang good at her job. I loved reading as Blake and Abby got to see each other in a different light and for who they really were, it was a slow fall but it was wholesome and melted my heart.
A wonderful nanny romance. Blake Ellington's mom hurt herself while babysitting for his sister: who's on vacation. He steps in way over his head. Fortunately, Abby Thomas is available from Practically Perfect Nannies.
Their individual childhood baggage, along with false assumptions, causes difficulties in the developing relationship. Not quite a HEA; it's still a delightful, positive ending. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I have to wonder if Blake's mom didn't have a little cupid action going on with him and the nanny agency. Either way, Abby swooped in and saved his bacon when little Katie just wasn't feeling him. How cute was she?? Wasn't a fan of the snooty women who looked down their noses at Abby but loved when he sent them on their way!! They had different experiences with their mothers but at the end it didn't matter since she found a new family to begin her forever. She got her dream career so why NOT get the man too???
I received a free review copy of this book and I'm leaving my honest review.
Sometimes I need a story that is a slow burn and not a ton of steam so this story fits perfectly. Blake may be rich and a playboy but when it comes to his family, he'll do anything he can. He's really just a big teddy bear if you ask me but having to take care of his baby niece is something he has no clue how to handle. Abby is sent by Practically Perfect Nannies to help him. Like I said, this is a slow burn but one that still has all the feels and emotions. I loved their story.
This was a cute nanny story. It was clever to put a bit of "mistaken identity" into the story. Abby was the PERFECT nanny - one we all could have used or learned from! She should have been called Abby Poppins! I wasn't sure what would come out of her "magic nanny bag" next! Tuhart wrote a very good clueless Blake. The "broccoli" scene was great! Never go there with a baby! This was my first book by Marie Tuhart but I would definitely like to read another one of her stories.
Abby was called to be a nanny for Blake’s niece Katie. Katie was being cared for by the grandmother who unfortunately fell and injured her ankle. Blake had no experience with children and needed help fast. Abby was great at getting Blake to interact with his niece. Blake was a very nice man who cared about his family. This was a very fast read. The characters were realistic and likable. The story was interesting and the romance was sweet. Great book.
Blake is a businessman in the middle of an important negotiation when he finds his sister having a go out of the country and his mother in the hospital so that leaves him to watch his sisters baby! He knows nothing about children so he has to hire help. He gets a nanny and she’s great with the baby. But she also seems to be going on him also! Where will this lead? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Short and sweet novella. Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Story was fast paced and easy to read without any angst. Really liked Blake, he's such a sweetheart but thought Abby was too quick to judge and based on her assumptions. However it worked for this couple and their HFN/HEA was sweet and uncomplicated.
Abby is an inspiring pastry chef, she takes one last nanny job before pursuing her chef career fun time. Blake ends up taking care of his niece, Katie after his mom has an accident while watching her. He calls a nanny agency and gets Abby. This a slow burn yet short yet. Good addition to the nanny series.
I received this copy and my spoiler free review is voluntary
A very well written plot line and the characters were intresting to read. The story line revolves around a business tycoon, his neice who he has to take care of for some week's and the nanny he hires to help him .The love , emotions happening between the characters were off the charts. I received a free arc and leaving an honest review.
So cute. I love the scene where Abby enters the apartment for the first time. Blake and Abby both have to work on their issues to get their HEA. Fun story to read. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
Very nice story with a happy ending which I like when there are children involved. The Tycoon discription sounded perfect, you could imagine him not having a clue what to do with a young baby. Definately worth buying.
Another great story in this series. This one is about jumping to conclusions. .Abby has a lot to learn about Blake and when she does , things change for the better.
This is Blake & Abby's story. Blake finds himself completely out of his element when he is forced to find a nanny to take care of his niece for a week. He really cares for his family, so he wants it to go right, even though he has no idea what would be good. Blake & Abby work together to take care of little Katie and their bond is sweet and true. Blake would like to have more with Abby, but can they get past the employer/employee relationship to build something more? Will Abby feel like she is giving up her dream of becoming a pastry chef?
