Last time, Kimihiko, Char, Nagisa, and Yui went to their last decisive battle. They were supposed to defeat the invincible Seed and somehow resurrect Siesta to have a happy ending. However, reality is not that kind. The final results were Yui being kidnapped and Char getting serious injuries. Furthermore, Nagisa died while Kimihiko was the only one safe. Yes, because of this cruel ending, Kimihiko became very depressed to the point where he couldn't see reality anymore. However, mysteriously, there was a faint hope in this darkness. This hope's real identity is the detective who was supposed to be dead, Siesta. Strangely, she appeared before Kimihiko at his house. Kimihiko doesn't know how she returned from the dead, but there's one truth that he does know. As long as the Famous Detective, Siesta, is here, they can turn around this hopeless situation. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー It was very interesting! In general, light novels mostly lean to having happy endings, so I really thought it was the final battle last time. However, my expectations were wonderfully exceeded. It wasn't a happy ending at all; it's more suiting to call it a bad ending really. From there in the middle of that, I didn't even imagine that Siesta would actually resurrect. So, after that, I read the fifth volume. There were plenty of unexpected developments, so I was engrossed from start to finish. It was very fun, but this series seems like it's being forcibly extended. I thought the fifth volume was the last, but it seems like I was wrong. Well, other than that, I have no real complaints.
The Detective is back. But there is issues. Its since the Detective is back another member of the team might die. We also meet other members of the group fighting the seed, not all of whom get along with the detective and don't like the detectives assistant.
It's a confusing series. It would make more sense, if I remember the Anime more. There are plot twists, and new characters. Some of which doesn't seem to make sense. Interesting, but not really great.
