Although Nanami managed (somehow) to get through that minefield of a visit with her cousin who may or may not have the hots for Kyouhei and her aunt who most definitely disapproves, Auntie Takako’s words keep reverberating through her head. Meanwhile, Nanami’s sudden aloofness is throwing Kyouhei off guard...Can he overcome the formidable task of puzzling out the source of her distress—and then fixing it?
YAY! The drama has passed and things seem to go into a steady pace with a focus on the future!
Granted, I will say that I really did like the conversation that Kyouhei and Subaru had when Nanami was asleep. With Nanami being so worried that Subaru was going to do something, I appreciated the honesty Subaru showed towards Kyouhei about how he wanted Kyouhei to treasure Nanami for a longggg time. I also liked how the Aunt toned A LOT in this volume because goodness, I really did NOT like her…
One thing I thought was interesting and really relatable is how when Kyouhei and Nanami were on a date and they were talking about the future and how harsh reality is. That felt very much like something my past self would say! I feel these two have a down-to-Earth feel where they have worries like every teenager and that trying to think of what they'll do, what school they'll go to, and how their relationship will be (at least for Nanami) is a very very real thing. I often feel Kyouhei is "calming down" Nanami and bringing her out of her worries is DEEPLY relatable to me even as an adult. So often I get caught up in my thoughts and worries that I'm thankful that my husband grounds me and reminds me to breathe. LOL!
I really like how Nanami wants to work hard so that Kyouhei won't leave HER behind. He stated the same thing a few volumes ago and admired how she wants to be there alongside him without feeling like she is holding him back. Granted, I really don't think she does and that is why I'm appreciative of how Kyouhei really has been speaking his mind saying he only has eyes for her and that she should continue to have her enthusiasm in thinking of the future. He may have felt in the past that she is better off with him, but she DID choose him and WANTS him by her side. Slowly but steadily these two are working towards just that. <3
Andou really is the hero-in-a-pinch and glad he stated the fact! LOL! I think he's my favorite character so I'm alway glad when he has a chance to shine a little bit. LOL!
Another good volume that I read wayyyyy too fast! LOL!
Nanami is struggling pretty hard in this installment as she seems to constantly fear being left behind or not changing. At the same time, she constantly wants to be close to Kyouhei, but is also afraid to be close to him for awhile to the point that she's actively avoiding him basically. Kyouhei doesn't seem too worried as far as the future goes though, at least not at the moment. If anything, he's mainly worried about Nanami and how to cure this strange distance of hers and whatever is ailing her this time around.

I have lost almost all memory of what happened in the last volume. These volumes take so long to come out in English, wish I could say I enjoyed this more. I probably will on a reread of the entire series once it's been a year or so. Happy to have this one though, just wish they were better print quality.
i like this series and will probably binge reread it when the full series is out. i was wondering if the parents knew and am wondering how this is gonna end with them going to college soon and how much of this series is left. but it’s still a cute, easy to read manga
