A tragic act of violence. Heartbreaking sacrifice. Will Rella and Dagstyrr free the dragons...or unleash a terrible foe on the fae realm?
Dagstyrr, hero of Thingstyrbol, has gathered the greatest force ever seen to attack the evil vizier of Hedabar and free the dragons enslaved beneath the sorcerer's lair. Once an outcast because of her dual magic, Rella has united the fae behind Dagstyrr's flag. It's an alliance forged by their bond of love, as powerful as it is precarious. Their only path to victory lies in keeping one another safe.
But treachery is brewing within the ranks of the fae, for the dragons are feared and hated as much as they are revered. When tragedy strikes, Dagstyrr's choices are to save his mate or risk everything.
The book starts of right where the last one ended and finally onto save the dragons.
Once again Rella and Dag are enjoyable to read. They trust and compliment one another, while also pushing each other to be better. I love that we get to see more of Drago and his family. Who doesn’t love dragons 🐉.
As always the writing is amazing, enchanting, makes real men second rate😂😂 Her use of more formal old language while keeping it feeling modern draws you in word for word, sentence for sentence. Showing how words can enchant, fascinate and sink you all at the same time.
My only complaint is I thought the Vizier should have had a better finale fight. Her brother got his just desserts and it’s a fitting end to the the series.
Disappointing. One can only have so many bread crumbs to a resolution which are then swept away into another quest before you get bored and just don't even want to finish the book.
Was game of thrones out when this was written? Because it reeks of all those characters - but not in a good way. Kind of in a hazy mirrored fashion. I mean I get that these two love each other they will move the world for everything but it just got to the point where I had readers fatigue over oh goody resolution but no there's one more quest. But then there's one last quest. There's one last job. Okay we just have one more thing to do.
Other than that the storyline was better than the second book which wasn't even worth reading and the dragon lore was good.
As always in these types of books that Uber villains are always built up and built up and built up and then there's a resolution very quickly. Kind of annoying to me at least.
Anyhow if you're still reading this you've probably read the first two and you're going to read the third one anyway just know it's better than the second book and that's all I can say
I absolutely loved reading this series of books, the story was gripping and had me turning page after page I'm going to truly miss the characters, and I hope Jane Armor writes some more.
