She couldn’t write a romance this complicated if she tried…
Eve
I need a change of scenery.
My creativity—and my belief in happily ever after—dried up after my divorce. That’s problematic for someone who writes love stories for a living.
The small town of Seaside might be the perfect place to recharge. Finding a romance of my own, however, is not on the agenda. Especially not with the sexy handyman who is not only ten years younger than me, but also used to be the Hollywood star my daughter idolized.
Too bad his forbidden status only makes me want him more…
Max
I left Hollywood in my rearview years ago and never looked back.
No one in Seaside cares about my past. So, I’m content here. Everything is easy. Simple.
Until Eve Reese shows up.
She’s everything I never knew I needed, and I’ll do whatever it takes to convince her we’re meant to be together. No worries, right?
As a tween, Tina Gallagher and her best friend would create happily ever afters for their favorite soap opera couples. Eventually, the soap operas lost their appeal, but the writing never did.
Before living her dream as a full-time author, she worked a spectrum of jobs ranging from baking and cake decorating to marketing and project management.
In between creating memorable characters, traveling, and taking pole dance lessons, Tina enjoys spending time with her handyman husband and two grown children.
I know I keep saying this, but I'm LOVING the Summers in Seaside series by all different authors. Tina Gallagher penned a delightfully sweet book about Eve, a writer who is majorly blocked from writing after some personal things happened in her life. It brings her to visit her aunt in Seaside, and man, it was just what the doctor ordered. Max has a Hollywood past who is in Seaside for some peace in his life, and he's got his own set of baggage. Eve knows him as the handyman, and they have a connection that both are trying to ignore at first, but you already know, it's only a matter of time. I LOVED both of these characters as they're super easy to cheer on because it's clear they're perfect for each other, however there are a couple of bumps in the road. Tina Gallagher is a descriptive genius as I could almost smell the air like I was there in person, and frankly, I'm a bit upset that I'm still stuck in hotter than hell Oklahoma LOL! Anyway, y'all need this story in your lives as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Summer Swoon, part of the Summers in Seaside series, by Tina Gallagher is a fabulous reverse age gap summer romance read that will grab you by your heart and pull you right in!
Eve is a romance writer that feels like she’s lost her creativity and the passion she once had for writing after her divorce and her daughter moving away, so when he’s aunt invites her to come visit she figures it just what she needs to find the magic again and recharge—which is how she ends up in the beautiful small town of Seaside. And even though romance is NOT something she’s looking for, it finds her in the form of a super sexy, and much younger, handyman named Max.
Max has a past of his own, having once been a Hollywood star that gladly left that chaotic pressure filled life for the simple life that Seaside provided. However when Eve shows up he soon realizes that maybe he didn’t quite have everything he ever wanted and now he’s willing to do whatever it takes to convince her he’s exactly what she’s been looking for also…if only his past doesn’t get in the way.
If you’re a fan of quick easy summertime reads featuring an older FMC and the hit younger man that falls for her—then this is the one for you!
Eve is a romance writer who has lost her mojo. Following her divorce, she hasn't been able to write anything remotely romantic. So a trip to Seaside to stay with her Aunt is on the cards. Her friends advise her to have a fling with the town handy man to get herself back on the horse so to speak.
Max is in Seaside helping out his grandfather with his handyman business. He is in Seaside hiding away, avoiding his mother and his celebrity past. Max is working on Eve's Aunt's house first thing in the morning when he encounters a very grumpy Eve and so it begins...
Max and Eve and very cute together and Max helps Eve rebuild her trust and belief in men and love. Max is sweet, gentle, caring and loving. Eve's confidence builds as a result of the care Max shows towards her. Her writing flourishes as well as a result.
This was a cute contemporary read and a quick summer read. A definite beach read this summer.
This was a fun delightful summer read. It's the perfect book to dive into while lounging out in the sun to enjoy this summer romance. Loved Max and Eve. Eve is in a little bit of rut in life and she's got a bad case of writer's block so with encouragement from her aunt she heads to visit her in Seaside. Then she meets hunky handyman Max. With it's Hallmark vibes it made my romantic heart swoon. The small town of Seaside is a great place to visit. Makes me wish I could go visit for my own summer romance. Though these two with their connection could lead to longer than summer. Eve and Max will instantly pull you right into the book making you devour it. I recommend this one!!
This is a great read and I just loved it from the start. I love that Eve is a bit older, she's working through changes to her life and ready to push forward. Max and Eve click very well, have steam and a great back and forth. There's a great flow in this quick read that kept me pulled in and enjoying their story.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Welcome back to Seaside . Eve just had a divorce. She writes love stories for a living but after her divorce. She writes blanks. She when her aunt invites her to seaside. She takes a chance. Max works for as a handy man. Funny thing is that max show her what is to fell love and cherished. Super cute story.
So good! The dating a younger man aspect & he’s a Hollywood star! I loved this book! I love she’s a romance writer and she really wants the kind of romances she writes about in her books but problems arise. He won’t let her go though I love that about this book!
I loved this story. It was so sweet how Max and Eve met and fell in love. Especially after all she went through. There was also some major heat to the story.
This is a really good book about Eve and Max. I really liked the reverse age gap. Both of these characters were interesting and sparks flew when they met. This Summer series keeps getting better.
