Howell presents three dozen crochet projects inspired by celebrities. There are some really great looking sweaters here along with other, less time-consuming goodies. I would guess that none of these projects are for beginners.

Some of my favorites were a really cute granny-square hoodie, an adorable child's sweater with skull & crossbones buttons, inspired by one of Madonna's or Angelina's brats:



And something I would never wear, not even in the privacy of my own bedroom, but, GOLLY, isn't it cute?



There were a few WTF moments as well, such as this crocheted poncho inspired by Clint's Man With No Name character:



I'm sorry, but crochet + spaghetti western = too bizarre for words.

Then there is this scarf? that looks like a string of moss-covered charcoal briquettes:



Really, if you're going to do ANYTHING inspired by Bjork, I think THIS would be the way to go...



Just think of the fun I could have embarrassing my kids while wearing a crocheted version of THAT dress!

Cute idea for a book, but I really only liked a few patterns in the book. The Bjork and Heidi scarves and Madge hat are really the only patterns I would try. Get this book at a used book store or at the library.
