Harjeet has worked in the leading national organisations of repute and he has observed the process of corporate decision-making from a very close distance. He understands how things work in the corporate set-up and he has very much been a part of it for a very long period of time. He totally understands what is the importance of a big decision in the life-cycle of a business and he must have been involved in many of those... I have been exaggerating the same thing, I guess, but that's worth mentioning here. I have been impressed by the book and I am sure others like me who are in the beginning of their corporate careers will like the book.

One of the best business books I have read this year... This book solves the puzzle of business or corporate or organisational decision making for the readers in a convenient way. The book discusses many practices one after another and offers the readers a very clear perspective on both sides, the positive and the negative. Relevant examples are there as well. A must read book for those who want to become future leaders in the world of the corporate.

These ideas that the author has shared in the book are amazing... explained in simple terms and also referenced very well with relevant examples, research articles and case studies. I learnt many new things from this book and would surely recommend it to the readers who are just out of the box of academic years – fresh MBA graduates, fresh business school youngsters and even those who have spent decades in the leading roles in corporate sectors.

This is one of a kind book... you will understand everything about business decision making, corporate kinetic chain, who decides, how does it happen, when it happens and so many other things. Harjeet is an experienced professional and he has poured out all his experiences and class into this book's content. The author has made it easy with simplified language and relevant examples. It can be a perfect guide book for anyone who wants to understand the subject.

A fantastic book on Decision Making. The book covers so many aspects of decision making that I was not even aware of. It covers Decision Making Models, Decision Making Styles, Decision Making Philosophies, Decision Making Strategy, Group Decision Making, Dynamic Decision Making, Frontline Decision Making.
It even covers aspects like Culture, Diversity, Inclusion, Ethics and Creativity. The book does not stop there, it goes to Planning, Execution, Communication and Change Management. The highlight of the book is Decision Making Skills, Decision Toolkit, A good primer on Biases and Risks.
Finally there is Decision Evaluation Framework.
Highly recommended for leaders and managers.

This is like a business story book. There are so many business stories in the book that you do not even realize that you are reading a business book. The good part is that after reading each chapter you actually learn a few things about decision making. I really enjoyed it.

I did enjoy learning from this book. The author has simplified the concepts that would otherwise be complex for the readers to understand. An ideal book for anyone who wants to understand the process of making decisions by the bosses, business leaders and start-up masters. Recommended.

Can you imagine, there are actually 200+ stories for real organisations in this book and each story has a point. Most of these stories are of known organizations and leaders. I liked the story comparing decision making styles of Apple and Google. How both the styles are so different and yet so successful.

It's been sometime since I've read a good book on leadership. This book gives a thorough outlook on what goes on in a leaders mind.
Cover: The cover is well thought and the colour used is appealing.
Content: As you have already guessed this book is all about leadership, about the mentality of the leaders. What their thought processes are. The author has used colloquial language which is easy to read and interpret.
Not everyone can become a leader, but to become the one you need to have a correct mindset. And how to develop that Mindset? You will find it in this book.
Final Verdict: Very well written and it can be read by readers of every age as it contains a lot of knowledge.

Perhaps the best book I have read on this topic. And this coming from an accomplished business profiler himself makes much sense. Harjeet's ideas are relevant, recent and relatable. I would love to recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the process of decision making in the corporate sector. Enjoy.

This is a masterpiece by RK Laxman of Business, Harjeet Khanduja. He treated the subject exceedingly well. I wanted to wait for the hard copy. But I could not wait. So I bought the book, read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I want to buy the hard copy all the more.

How Leaders Decide (HLD) is The Bhagwat Gita of Decision making. This book offers multitudinous panoramas of decision-making.
Decisions taken by me in the past flashed back to me while going through the book. I was able to contemplate on what was the reason behind some of my good decisions and how could I have improved other decisions.
Improvising from HLD - One can't Use Up This Book Completly. The More One Uses, The More Knowledge It Would Offer. This book would help in reflecting back on past experiences. The more experience one would have, the better value would one be able to derive from those experiences through this book. For newbies and learners, this book is inundated with concepts, knowledge, and philosophies.
While the word decision making looks complex, this book puts into the picture, all aspects of decision making and lucidly puts different decision-making frameworks into a structure. The different parameters affecting a decision have been clearly laid out and very well explained.
The most engrossing part of HDL is the stories that the author has used. The stories are pretty lively, and I could feel living through a few of those.

The author has given a very in depth analysis & explanation about the driving forces of a successful Leadership for instance Why = Belief/Vision/Purpose, How = Actions and What = Results of Actions. Now this ain't it!!!, there is much more than what I have tried to understand about this book and to know more please take the pain of reading it 😀.
Definitely a must read for all those who are interested in working out their own business and even the others who are struggling with finding stability in their lives and things around them "Start with Why" definitely has a lot of Answers.

People often say that they find it hard to make decisions. Unfortunately, we all have to make decisions all the time, ranging from trivial issues like what to have for lunch, right up to life-changing decisions like where and what to study, and who to marry. Some people put off making decisions by endlessly searching for more information or getting other people to offer their recommendations. Others resort to decision-making by taking a vote, sticking a pin in a list or tossing a coin. But a leader can't resort to such things.

First of all i would like to say that if you are working in an organisation, running business or even a student, then do read this book as it is for sure gonna help you in enhancing decision making skill and thus boosting your confidence.
It is a well written, well designed and detailed book which will definitely fulfill your aspirations by teaching you the idea of decision making.

And irrespective of what is said otherwise, there are a certain set of challenges that these people, who are endowed with such heavy responsibility have to face every single day.
Author Harjeet Khanduja, in his book, ‘How Leaders Decide: Tackling Biases and Risks in Decision-making’ has therefore done an excellent job of bringing forth the interesting tribulations that are faced by the person of authority.
We see how within the leadership itself, there are certain issues and in such situations, the problem or right solution cannot be grasped, hence a different approach needs to be adopted.

This was one of the most amazing corporate/business book I have ever read. This book tells how can we tackle differences in corporate and what is effective decision making.
I really loved how author has explained different terms in each chapter in short and simple language. He has also mentioned references of relevant articles in this book.
The book was really helpful for me as I'm myself a working professional and leadership qualities explained in this book are really gonna help me further.

It is one of those books which has so much to give to its readers.I admired the way the author explains everything with illustrations which made the read more intriguing and unique.This book makes us to think and plan.
The language used in this book is very simple and easy. The narration is very friendly. It is definitely a good read.
