Frederick siendo el heredero directo de la corona, es el que mas presión del publico. Así que cuando comienza a darse cuenta que los sentimientos que tiene por su mejor amigo, no son de "mejor amigo", tiene miedo a aceptarlos porque el publico puede no querer a un heredero que sea gay, sobre todo si no es posible tener hijos biológicos con su pareja. Pero cuando su mejor amigo cae en manos de sus enemigos, el temor a perderlo es muchísimo mas grande que su temor al publico, y decide que sus sentimientos son mucho mas fuertes que cualquier otra cosa.
Mientras tanto, las luchas internas entre ellos y sus enemigos se han intensificado, hasta el punto de que han habido tantos ataques directos hacia su familia cercana, que saben que están cerca de descubrir el plan completo, si solo pudieran entender la cantidad de pistas que tienen y armar el rompecabezas?
Aquí la acción se intensifica hasta un nivel bastante alto, no solo vemos los ataques en los actos, sino también hacia ellos como personas, el secuestro de Damon, la confrontación con la tía Charlotte, el descubrimiento de los manejos del dinero. Y también vemos muchísimo mas de la relación de Frederick-Damon, un romance que nos están mostrando desde los primeros libros de esta serie, aquí vemos por fin, como se concreta y las personalidades de cada uno en el ámbito de BDSM.
Ahora, vemos cada vez menos del club, y las interacciones entre los personajes son bastante sencillas, y en situaciones hogareñas. Si seguimos viendo a los otros personajes, pero siento que poco a poco se van diluyendo, quizás en el ultimo libro (que tengo entendido que es del rey) podamos ver mucho mas de ellos con el descubrimiento final del complot, y su apoyo al rey.

Awakened Royal is the sixth book in the Club Royal series by Elouise East. This book is about Frederick, the heir to the throne and Damon, his best friend.
I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. I love the continuing story and I really recommend this series.

So glad to finally get Freddie and Damon's story.
They have been best friends since they were kids, but just that. They both kept their feelings hidden as Freddie was to be the next king.
Their bond and friendship is strong, but can it survive the trials.
Loved how their relationship progressed.
Brilliant addition to this series. Can be read as standalone but great to read the whole series

With the weight of the crown on his shoulders, as heir to the throne who he chooses to marry and keep by his side has consequences. Over recent years his family has been through plenty of ups and downs and that is teaching them all to fight back and stand up for what they believe in even though there are some who don't want to see them succeed. With his best friend beside him and losing himself in Club Royal, he can cope with the various storms. Damon knows who he wants and also that he will never get it - falling in love with his best friend was not the wisest choice and especially as there is a spotlight on their every movement. When Damon is kidnapped he thinks all hope is lost but his knight in shining armour comes to rescue him. With a newfound relationship, they have some big choices to make. They have to decide whether they’re willing to potentially lose the crown - decisions which could split them up forever.
In this book, the royal family make some more headway in understanding who is behind the plot to overthrow them through some solid detective work as well as a few lucky breaks. There are more attempts to destroy them physically as well as their reputations. When Damon goes missing it takes a while to realise he is gone but when he is found and the subsequent events were one of those "finally" moments and thankfully a well-deserved HEA. Easy to read, feel and understand. I definitely felt as if I was there experiencing some of their emotions and that is why I was so thrilled at the conclusion. There is mature content in this MM book with BDSM-like scenes with a D/s dynamic and some medical play.

Well, I didn't see all that coming
This is the couple we've been waiting for since the first book, and Freddie and Damon definitely don't disappoint.
This is a series that you want to read in order to understand all the events that play out in each book, because apart from each of the cousins finding their loves, there are far more sinister players orchestrating a campaign of terror against the King and the six cousins and their partners. Theseries is so good that you won't be disappointed with any of the books, and I can guarantee that by the time you get to this one, you'll be so invested you'll curse that Andrew's book is a few months away.
Freddie, heir to the throne, and Damon have been best friends for nearly forty years, since the age of three, and it's taken till now for Freddie to realise his love for his best friend is not just platonic, something that Damon realised years earlier. After a horrific event that almost had the worst outcome, watching them finally be together, at home and at the Club, was a thing of beauty. They just melted my heart.
The campaign being waged with words and violence against the cousins, their partners and the King by members of their own family ramps up yet again, with more information emerging but with still yet to come. The final book can't come soon enough but I really don't want this series to end. Elouise is a fine writer and every book has been a fascinating, unusual, heartfelt and intense read.

Awakened Royal (Club Royal #6)
Almost done the series! And àWOW! What a knockout series this has been. I have enjoyed getting to know each character. But what I love the most is that even though for example, this book focuses on Freddie and Damon's relationship after all these years. They met in Kindergarten after all! And have been besties ever since. But what I love the most is not just the main story, but the fact that Ellie continues to tell the stories of all her other royals and their partners, but not just them, the security team became more family. You have so many characters that we see over and over again. Like we saw Kean with the King. It was the intro to book 7. Brett was a minor security guy but in each story has grown. These side characters add as much flavor as the main characters at times. They are like the spice to the story.
I can't wait for Book 7 to see wedding bells ( not saying which Royals- yep there is more than 1) and Andrew's story. I also want to see what happens with the Catherine story. And do people end up kicking out the Royal Family?

I am in binge mode to read about stories with unusual/unexpected dynamic. This is my first book to read in this series so I was caught unaware about the way this family works. It did not hold my attention, maybe the fault lies with me for going in with certain expectations when I read the blurb. I was hoping for the dynamic between Frederick and Damon to be different but when I read in the book it was not so, I got disappointed and I think the story didn't recover enough for me to like more. I wanted to like this more, so much more that I was literally waiting for this book release since a damn long time. Few things that you take for granted when you read about royalty like their haughtiness, their backbone in front of everyone but be vulnerable with just the partner etc are not really found here which I found added to more disappointment.
I have another book from this series added to my TBR but I am not sure if I want to read about this family anymore. If I go by how this book involves entire family, I don't think I would be interested. I want my books to be more focused with MCs and their relationship which this book lacked.

Awakened Royal is the 6th book in the Club Royal series and finally gives the heir to the throne his chance to grab what he's subconsciously wanted all along - the love of his best friend, Damon. Beyond navigating a new chapter in their relationship, they also have to face public scrutiny of what a relationship between two men would mean for the crown and succession and the continued pressure of the plot against the royal family.
This book is one of those that if you've been following the series, you've been waiting for, because you knew it was coming and you just need to see how they navigate their new reality... and they do it beautifully! Add in the medical kink and it becomes steamy deliciousness! On top of that, the Thirsty Thirteen and their allies are much closer to understanding the breadth and depth of the plot against the monarchy!
I honestly can't wait for Andrew's book - and I'm dreading it at the same time - I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series, but I want to know how it wraps!

This 6th book in the “Club Royal” series left me gasping! This is the best one in the series! It was very intense and page turning for me! I simply love the idea of a Royal Family who doesn’t care about whether their member loves someone of the same sex. Hat off to the author for making this series a very interesting and page turning journey! Definitely many more than 5 stars reading from me!
The story focuses on Frederick, the heir apparent who shares a heavy burden as his father, the king. He is inseparable from his best friend, Damon. Unknown to him, Damon has been in love with him for a long time. When the king asked Damon to do some account auditing into their company dealings to try to find something against the family’s villainous family who has been a huge sharp thorn in their sides, something happened to Damon. I’m going to stop right there and have you pick up the book to read to find out what happened. If you have been following the series, you’ll know who the villains are. Such a thriller type of story!

I must confess that I haven’t read the other books in this series so I don’t know if they all wrench your heartstrings like this one does. I just about died when Damon was kidnapped. Freddie and Damon have been ignoring their feelings for a long time but this is an extreme measure to finally admit them! Oh my heart! They both nearly lost everything. I am definitely gonna need to go back and read the rest of this series because I need the background on the awful parts of this particular royal family. Charles and Charlotte are real pieces of work. I am now thoroughly hooked on this alternate reality set of the royal family and will have to see this series through to the end!

There is so much going on in this book! I loved every second of it, but watching Freddie and Damon crossing the line of friendship was a thing of beauty. Elouise East has a knack for describing the emotions and inner musings in a very impressive way, leaving the reader fully immersed in the character they are meeting.
I love this series a whole lot and it would be really hard to pick a favorite! This book also gives some glimpses into Kind Andrew’s story and I cannot wait to see how this one will play out!

This series continues to surprise with every book and just gets better and better. The plotting against the crown is still going on, the public wants what it wants regardless of the fact that royals are people with their own needs too and here, we finally get to see Frederick and Damon finding the strength to stand up for themselves and their relationship regardless of the danger or what anyone else might think or want. Great characters, lots of steam and a perfect penultimate book in an amazing series.

This book will take you to places in yourself that make you smile, laugh (and not care who hears you) and yes - even cry. Love, family (both blood and chosen), friends are just enough to help our Freddy and Damon see things as they truly are and fight to hold on to their hopes, dreams and each other.

The Plot Thickens.
MM, D/s, Contemporary, Romance. Easy to read page-turner with great characters, the sixth book in the series. The books follow on from each other so need to be read in series order for full understanding and maximum enjoyment, each book has different main characters but the background story and the majority of the characters are in each book. A great read with a fast paced plot with lots of twists and turns throughout.

I've waited for Freddie's story and it truly didn't disappoint. The way he finally admits to his feelings is breathtaking. As for Damon all he's done for Freddie, and the Royal family as a whole, is just phenomenal. I adore these two. The continuation of the underlying plot has had me riveted, and I'm sad this series is almost over.

I really enjoyed this addition. Was so happy to see Freddie and Damon get their HEA after everything they went through. I hope in the finale book we get Andrew’s POV as the mixture of views is such a good addition to the series

I knew Freddie and Damon story would be good but this went beyond anything I thought It would be. The love and trust they had in one another as friends became so much more.

This is another very enjoyable book in the Club Royal series. Read the entire series to get all of the backstories and references. In this book, Freddie is the crown prince and heir to the throne. He carries many of the pressures that his brothers do plus the additional responsibilities of his position. Throughout his life, his best friend Damon has been a constant. Now, Freddie is dealing with an awakening that he views Damon as a romantic interest. Damon is carrying his own secret that he has always loved Freddie in that way.
The ongoing dangers and assaults on the royal family continue. The family and security team continue to work on who is behind all of the life-threatening attacks. Although the family tries to keep a normal schedule, the stress begins to take its toll. Freddie and Damon retreat to Club Royal, a secret family and friends BDSM club. Freddie is a dominant, Damon a submissive, but they've never played with each other until one day they take that next step to scene together.
