I've had this book since 1998 and have re-read it every year. The poems are delightful and often wonderuflly absurd.

‘You At The Back’ by Roger McGough
Master of word play, mixing childhood and childish memories, with sporting stories and animal anecdotes.
Marvellous material which I’m sure made him a joy to hear at live readings.
For now, this is an excellent early collection of his poetry for the younger (young at heart, like me) audience!

This is actually the second volume of McGough's Selected Poems, 1967-87 (the first being Blazing Fruit). This one is shorter than the previous volume, but just as good -- a nice mixture of poems both serious and silly.
