The Amish Twins Next Door is part of the Indiana Amish Brides series. It is a standalone, you do not need to read the others in this series first.
I have read so many books by this author and still am eager to read her latest books when they release.
They are so heartwarming and have me flipping the pages quickly.
Amish single mom Deborah Mast has twin boys seven years old. After a failed relationship she is determined to raise them alone. She doesn't need a man in her life and is happy to raise them while living on her parents farm.
Things change when the farm next door is sold to Nicholas Stoltzfus, not used to being around children he at first is unsure of the twins and sees them as rambunctious rascals.
I enjoyed seeing the changes in the relationship between Deborah and Nicholas from enemies to friends and then to a sweet something more.
Nicholas is a good man once he gets to know Deborah and her children, wanting to include them in their relationship and showing them respect by wanting their approval for a relationship with their mother. A feel good inspirational book that'll have you laughing at the twins antics and make you smile.

The Amish Twins Next Door by Vannetta Chapman is the ninth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. Each book in this charming series can be read as a standalone. I have enjoyed each book in this sweet series. I just loved this amusing story. Two boisterous yet sweet twin boys (who are interested in the new neighbor), a grumpy new neighbor (who just wants to be left alone), and an overprotective mother makes for one entertaining story. I found The Amish Twins Next Door to be well-written with developed, realistic characters. The story moved along at a quick pace. It reach the end far too soon. Deborah is a single mother of busy twin boys. They live with her parents who believe it is time for Deborah to marry and provide a father for the twins. They believe the single new neighbor is an excellent candidate. Nick, the new neighbor, just wants to be left alone to run his farm. Unfortunately, two little boys keep sneaking over. Deborah and Nick come up with an arrangement. He lets the boys help with the goats to help work off some of their excess energy plus give them guidance. Nick helps Deborah by going out on “pretend” dates with her. This will get her parents off her back. You just know things are not going to go as planned. I laughed often while reading The Amish Twins Next Door. This was such a merry tale. I can always count on Vannetta Chapman to provide a diverting story. This book came along just when I needed it. There are good life lessons in the story. I like how faith was woven into the story. I am eager for this author’s next novel. The Amish Twins Next Door is an uplifting story with two boisterous boys, guileful goats, long-term targets, pestering parents, a brusque bachelor, a mollycoddling mother, a dating dilemma, and an exultant ending.

What a fun and heartwarming story! The Amish Twins Next Door is part of the Indiana Amish Brides series, yet it is truly a stand alone novel. It simply takes place in Indiana and that is what connects it to the series.

This book made me happy as I read it. Those twins were something else! They were a handful, yet it seemed to simply be their zest for life and fun that led them into various troubles. I loved the way Nick started out appalled with them and then had a complete change of heart after spending some time with them.

The way the relationship built between Deborah and Nick was so nice and natural. They truly became part of each others’ lives and began to care for each other. There was much more to it than that, of course, and they both had some things from their pasts that they had to put behind them before they could find true happiness together. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.

(4.5 stars)

THE AMISH TWINS NEXT DOOR by Vannetta Chapman is the ninth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. It’s the fabulous inspirational story of Deborah Mast and Nicholas “Nick” Stoltzfus set in the Amish community of Shipshewana, IN.

Deborah as a teenager had left home, fell in love with an Englischer, and had plans on joining the Mennonite church. However, plans change. When she told her boyfriend she was pregnant, he signed over all parental rights and left her. With nowhere else to turn, she returned to her hometown welcomed with open arms by her parents, John and Bethany, the church and the community. Though forgiven, she still holds her past against herself, but she’s determined to be the best Mom to her twins, Jacob and Joseph, who are her world.

Nick, after having been burned in a relationship, was determined to stay away from woman. He moved back to the town he was raised in, bought a farm, and was working on his 5 year plan content to be left alone. He hadn’t planned on diverting from that plan. However, arrangement made with the adjoining property owner, John Mast, to go halves in raising some goats and then being told that John’s 6 year old twin grandsons would be helping him, is having a major effect on those plans.

Deborah and Nick first met when the twins were practicing casting with a fishing rod while sitting on the property line fence when they accidently caught Blue, Nick’s dog. Nick hinted that Deborah needed to keep a tighter rein her boys. After all raising kids wasn’t all that hard. Irritated but amused, she decides to agree with her dad for him handle the boys a couple hours a day as they helped with her family’s part of tending to the goats. This was definitely not part of his plans! They also discussed the plan to fake date in order to keep her folks from trying to match her up and for his folks to stop nagging him about dating again.

Through their fake dating and being around one another on a daily basis, they soon develop a friendship of sorts. Deborah finds it comforting to have someone she knows she can depend on and Nick begins to have a deep respect for child rearing. Each eventually starts to wonder about the other, but rocking the boat isn’t an option for either of them.

Will the antics of Jacob and Joseph prove Nick’s point or make his fondness for the boys grow? With a new respect for child rearing, will Nick start to wonder about a family of his own? Will one little kiss turn fake dating to real dating? Will a collapsed barn and a health issue bring to life what is really important in life? Can Nick forego his 5 year plan? Will Deborah learn that to look to the future that you have to turn loose of the past? Will one child’s drawing and another child’s writing become a reality?

THE AMISH TWINS NEXT DOOR is a superb love inspired Amish romance that will have you falling in love with an adorable set of twins and their antics as a budding romance develops between their Mom and the neighbor next door. Vannetta Chapman manages to keep you smiling as Nick finds out raising kids isn’t near as easy as he thought, chuckling as you see Nick’s 5 year plan fall apart, tugging at your heart as you see Deborah wonder if she’s loveable or ever have more children and warm your heart as you see the love of family & community – through good times and bad.

THE AMISH TWINS NEXT DOOR is a wonderful addition to this series. However, although part of a series it can most definitely be read as a standalone book. Each book in this series has no cliff hangers or cross over main character. The connection in the series is that each is set in Shipshewana, IN. I’m sure that after reading this book that you will want to check out the other books in this series. This feel good book earns and deserves my FIVE STARS!

I love short stories that are uplifting and inspirational with a touch of romance. And Love Inspired Inspirational Romance fits the bill.

I loved this story because it was about twins. Ever since my sister had twins five years ago I love reading about these little people.

Next, this is an Amish story. A bit of sadness because Deborah's husband has passed on and she has to raise their twin boys on her own.

But Nicolas Stolfus comes to the rescue and helps her with the high energy boys letting them help him on his farm. The two boys decide that the adults in their lives need help in the romance department. This is where the fun begins.

Don't miss this last book in the Indiana Brides series. All the books can be read as stand alone reads but just in case you want to read them in order or missed one check the list below:

Book 1: A Widow's Hope

Book 2: Amish Christmas Memories

Book 3: A Perfect Christmas Match

Book 4: The Amish Christmas Matchmaker

The Amish Twins Next Door ( Indiana Brides series #9 )
By: Vannetta Chapman
The Amish Twins Next Door is the last book in Indiana Brides series. This book is essentially a stand-alone book and you do not have to have read the ones before. It is a Love inspired Inspirational Romance and once you start you do not want to put it down. Love the story and the characters both were well written and developed. This story is about Deborah Mast and Nicholas Stoltzfus who are neighbors. Deborah is a single mom trying to raise her seven year old boys and raise them her way. Nicholas is also single and wants to be left alone. This is a fun read and I caught myself laughing throughout the book. I really enjoyed the twin boys and their wanting to help out their neighbor. I could just see these two boys and their matchmaking as I was reading . Will Deborah open her heart? Will Nick get over wanting to be left alone?

The Amish Twins Next Door is a fabulous story filled with wonderful characters and two charming little boys with plenty of antics. Deborah Mast was a protective mother of her twins. Nicholas Stoltzfus and her dad had an agreement on raising goats. Despite her misgivings she allowed the twins to assist. This heartwarming, faith filled and touching story is filled with true to life events that will tug at heartstrings while reading plus provide plenty of laughter with the twins liveliness and cleverness to help.. I enjoyed the different personalities of each twin that Chapman gave them. I’m always glad to read one of Chapman’s stories as they are filled with faith, action, romance and well developed characters that bring smiles and a warm feeling when finished.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit and the author without any obligation to write a positive review. I have shared my own thoughts.

I had a wonderful time getting to know Jacob, Joseph, Deborah and Nick. I loved some of whatNick thought at the beginning of the book. It was fun to have him find out what fun but also what trouble two six year old boys can get into. I loved the romance and the great friendship that grows between Deborah and Nick. This will make you laugh and cry. I received a copy of this book from Celebratelit for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Always good stuff from Chapman. Cute twin boys can get into a lot of mischief. Seems they need some guidance from the new neighbor, but he is mostly irritated with them. He'll get no sympathy from the Bishop though, only good advice on how to be a good neighbor.

I loved it. I always wanted twins but have never been blessed with them. However, growing up I had older brothers who are twins so I do know what they’re like.

The two boys in this story are just wonderful. I loved them. They’re adorable and mischievous just like boys should be. But they also have a streak of matchmaking inside of them. And that just makes the book wonderful.

I laughed so much at this book. It was so wonderful. The characters came to life and really the only bad thing I can say is that it was over way too soon. I’d love to get to go back and visit the family again.

I have yet had the pleasure other books from the series and felt that this one can be read as a stand alone. I adored Deborah and her adorable twins. I admired her independence and determination to do what was right for her children. I loved watching the three interact with Nicholas. I really enjoyed reading this quick and delightful story. I found it to fun and entertaining.

The Amish Twins Next Door will be getting four and a half stars from me. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean Amish romance. I will be looking for the other books from the Indiana Amish Brides series.

Amish Fiction is my FAVORITE Genre of books to read. The Amish Twins Next Door by Vannetta Chapman is the ninth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. I have not read the entire series, but I have read quite a few from this series. The books are GREAT as Stand Alone books.

Deborah Mast is an Amish Single Mom of Twin Boys. She became a Teen Mom when she left the Amish Community and had a relationship with a Englischer. He no longer wanted anything to do with her once she became pregnant. He willingly gave up any rights to the twins and Deborah moved back home. She and her Twins live with her parents, who joyously welcomed her home. The Church and Community also joyously welcomed her back. Nicholas Stoltzfus has recently moved back to town and purchased the Farm next door to Deborah's parents. He is coming out of a bad relationship and has every intention of not being in a relationship anytime soon, if ever. The Twins begin sneaking over to Nick's Farm, which at first Nick is not happy about. Nick, Deborah and her Dad work out a deal that the boys can come over and help with the Goats that Nick and Deborah's Dad Co-Own and Nick will guide the boys and be a mentor to them. Deborah's parents are anxious for her to find someone to marry and someone that would be a great father to the boys. Deborah and Nick decide to "Pretend Date" as a way to keep "Matchmakers" from encouraging a relationship. The more they "date" the more they discover that they are actually enjoying themselves together. Will Nick and Deborah be able to open their hearts to LOVE again? Will Nick, Deborah and the boys become a Family?

I have been a fan of Vannetta's Books for a LONG time and this book was a joyous to read as her other books. I really like that it isn't a typical Amish Romance, where the characters have known each other for a long time and fall in love and marry. The Characters did grow up in the same town, but did not know each other until living next door to each other. Deborah is a strong woman who just wants best for her Twin Boys and is doing all she can to give them a good life. Nick is a WONDERFUL Man who although wants to be alone, he agrees to mentor the 7 yr old twin boys and ends up falling in love with their mom. Deborah and Nick have both been hurt in past relationships, but I LOVE how they cautiously begin a relationship and allow it to grow slowly. The Amish Twins Next Door is a sweet, unpredictable, Amish Fiction Romance with GREAT Characters and Storyline. I HIGHLY Recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Amish Romance. GREAT BOOK!

The Amish Twins Next Door is written by Vanetta Chapman. This is book 9 in the Indiana Bride series. I have not read all the books in the series, but they can all be read as a stand alone book. First , let's talk about the amazing cover. The twins in this book, Jacob and Joseph are seriously the cutest. The art on the front of the book brings their characters to life. The picture of Deborah is exactly how the author has described her.

Young single mom, Deborah has her hands full with Jacob and Joseph. They are certainly, double trouble. Their new neighbor, Nicholas (AKA Nick) gets off on the wrong foot with the twins and their mother. The twins are energetic, team up with each other, and tend to get themselves into a lot of trouble. Deborah is raising them as a single mom. She loves them more then anything and starts to doubt her parenting when Nick gets on to her and the boys. To make matters worse, Nick and Deborah's father have forged a business bond to raise goats. This means that Nick will be interacting with them.

Nick comes up with a plan - the boys can work on various farm chores. In exchange of Nick teaching them to do more for themselves, and try and steer them from their mischievous ways. This sounds like a good idea, until Deborah's parents start telling her that she needs to court Nick. So Nick and Deborah enter into a "fake" relationship. Although, they start to develop feelings toward each other but don't want to let the other person know.

This was such a heartwarming story. I loved all the characters. The author also wove in a story of no matter what we have done, how far we have fallen, God is always there with his everlasting forgiveness. The author writes her Amish characters and their surroundings so well. This was one of my favorite Love Inspired Contemporary books that I have read.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Celebrate Lit for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

The Love Inspired books always uplift my spirit and when there’s children and or animals on the front I’m a “sucker” to buy it and become engrossed in the story.
This newest Love Inspired by Vannetta Chapman, The Amish Twins Next Door, did just that for me. I loved these mischievous but adorable seven year old twins that easily tugged at my heartstrings! Jacob and Joseph may be identical twins but their personalities are as different as night and day. They have a few months yet before they begin school so they definitely try the patience of new next door neighbor Nick Stoltzfus.
Their mother Deborah and the boys live with her parents. Bethany and John want Deborah to seriously consider courting. Her mother has even made her a list of eligible men in the area, most of which are older widowers with multiple children. What to do? To complicate matters Nick and her dad have went in business together raising goats. Nick tries Deborah’s patience by trying to tell her how to better raise her sons….yeah, he’s never had any children of his own, which she tells him often.
The characters were well developed and easy to care about. The story was full of family, love, patience and some serious situations which you would obviously expect with young twin boys. As the saying goes, “boys will be boys!”
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise. All opinions are strictly my own.

When you read this book, you are going to fall in love with Jacob and Joseph, six year old twins who have hearts of gold and a supply of energy that doesn’t quit. They never intend to get into trouble or cause confusion. They simply come up with exciting plans that many times do not turn out the way they hoped. Their mom, Deborah, is a single mom whose life revolves around watching over her twins. Romance is the last thing on her mind.

Nicholas Stoltzfus has purchased the farm next door. As a single young farmer, he has a fool-proof, five-year plan for his life which does not include a family. Nick thinks that Deborah needs some help with her parenting skills, and he offers to help her out. Deborah agrees to allow him to “train” the twins. What happens next with Nick and the twins will make you smile and keep you turning pages to find out what excitement the next “lesson” for the twins will bring.

Deborah is afraid to give away her heart again; and Nick’s plan for his life doesn’t quite seem to be working out the way he thought it would. Both need to learn that God works in their lives in ways that they can not imagine; and neither realize that the twins have their own ideas, too. All of this makes for a heart-warming story that’s filled with faith, hope, and love.

I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

As someone who lived in an area with an Amish community, I love reading books about the Amish. This book examines the lives of Deborah Mast, her two twin sons, her parents and family along with Nicholas Stoltzfus and his family. This book explores the rambunctious nature of boys, along with a man who attempts to firmly hold onto his 5 year plan.

Deborah, a single mother, works hard to honor Nicholas’s wishes to be free of interactions with her sons. However, the plans of men often go astray, and Deborah and Nicholas find themselves in this set of circumstances. I love the realistic view of how young boys think and act. Moreover, the way the adults behave also reflects the way some adults view and interact with children.

This book will have you laugh and appreciate the characters all the way until the last page of the story. So if you enjoy Amish fiction, check out this book for yourself.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

The Amish Twins Next Door by Vannetta Chapman
This is the story of Deborah Mast and Nicholas Stoltzfus and of course we can’t forget to mention the two sweet and of so much fun twin boys that bring so much to this storyline, Jacob and Joseph.
I really enjoy all of Vannetta’s books and this one didn’t disappoint, right from the start I was drawn into this heartwarming story and found myself excited to turn each page to find out what was coming. The Twins keep everyone on their toes and yet at the same time you could not help but want the very best for these two sweet boys.
Deborah loves her boys so much but can she give them the one thing they need more than anything and Nicholas has his life all planned out right down to the next five years, however what happens when two boys slip into that plan and disrupt it.
This is a wonderful storyline I’m sure you will enjoy as much as I did. I would recommend it.

I loved Deborah and her two boys.  She thought her life was complete. She was convinced that GOD's plan was for her to remain single and to raise her boys with the help of her parents.  But she felt something was missing.

On a date, Deborah was selecting an ice-cream flavor.  She loved ice cream but her thoughts strayed as to what she was looking for in a future relationship.  She thought  "you might enjoy a scoop of pistachio, but did you want it for the rest of your life?" Funny but so true.  Did you pick pistachio and after awhile wished you had vanilla?

GOD is good.  Deborah and her neighbor, Nick, needed to trust that GOD had a plan for them.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28

I really enjoyed this winsome Amish romance! All the characters were warm and believable, but my favorite was Nicholas Stoltzfus - I could easily identify with his cautious nature and his “five year plan.” All he wanted was to build a quiet agricultural oasis where he could nurse his broken heart. But goats and pigs and two rambunctious apprentices loosened him up and quickly changed his priorities. And it was a natural process after opening is heart to these neighbor boys to let their mom in, too. But single mom Deborah has her own trust issues, and romance is not a foregone conclusion. This is a wonderful stand-alone novel that really makes you care about Chapman’s characters and their choices. I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to post a review.

You just can't go wrong with a book from Vannetta Chapman! From the first time I started reading Amish fiction, this author quickly became one of my faves! She has excellent writing skills and can weave an interesting tale. I haven't missed even one book of this series of Indiana Amish Brides Romance. They have all been great and are all stand alone books. The characters are all new in each of the stories.
I totally enjoyed this sweet romance. I loved the caring characters and the cute and ever-so lively twins. With two, there is always lots of activity and these boys are no exception. I really enjoyed this book as I did all the others. So happy to have read such an uplifting book. You won't want to miss it.

What an enjoyable book by Vannetta Chapman. From the fun filled antics of Deborah’s 7 year old twins to the pretend courtship with her neighbor Nicholas next door that really made the book exciting. Will Deborah and Nicholas relationship turn into something more or will it cause them to realize it is time to move onto dating other people? Will faith and hope be enough to help them make the right decision?

I always enjoy reading Vannetta’s books because I find them light-hearted, entertaining and easy to read.

This is the latest installment in Chapman's Indiana Amish Brides series, though each book can be read as a standalone novel. The linking point with the stories is their location: Shipshewana, IN.

If you're a fan of Amish stories, sweet romances, or books featuring adorable children, this is one you'll want to add to you TBR pile. The twins in this book easily steal the show (though NIck and Deborah are enjoyable, relatable characters, too). Themes of family and community, as well as faith, are woven throughout. Overall, this is a quick, delightful read.

The Amish Twins Next Door by best-selling author Vannetta Chapman is a Christian Amish fiction book. This delightful Amish Romance is the story of Deborah Mast. She is a single mother of seven-year-old twin sons. They all live with her parents, and the twin red-haired boys are too rambunctious for new neighbor Nicholas Stoltzfus.

Author Chapman is a fabulous storyteller. As I read this ”Love Inspired Inspirational Romance” I felt as though I was right there on the farm with the family. The characters were realistic and refreshing. I loved the parts about raising goats. They taught me things I did not know. The story has many spiritual and everyday life lessons to ponder.

It was heart-warming to watch the characters grow and mature. They slowly became more open to others and God. It was beautiful, and I became fully invested. A few twists are tucked in throughout the book.

I highly recommend this Amish Love Inspired Romance to everyone. It is a lovely book that warm your heart. I rated it 5 stars. A copy was provided by Celebrate Lit, but these are my own, honest words.

The Amish Twins Next Door is a wonderful story written by Vannetta Chapman. This book is the nineth book in her Indiana Amish Bride Series. Even though it is a series each book is a "stand alone" book. The only thing they share is that the location of each story taking place in Shipshewana, Indiana. So, you can read the books in any order. All nine of the books are wonderful stories!

The main characters in this book were Deborah Mast, her twin boys and Nicholas Stolzfus. Deborah is a single mom trying to raise her twins the best that she can. She has moved back to her Amish community and is living with her parents. She is trying to move past the mistakes she has made in her life, but it isn't easy for her. Her twin boys are Joseph and Jacob. They are funny and definitely mischieveous! Nicholas has experienced his share of heartache as well. He buys the vacant farm next to Deborah's parents. Nicholas has a five year plan on what he needs and wants to accomplish on his farm. He really wants to be a good farmer. He has no desire for romance at this point in his life. He also isn't very thrilled with the antics of Joseph and Jacob.

This story is a wonderful read! You will fall in love with Deborah, her twins, and Nicholas. Once you start reading this book, you won't want to put it down until you finish it! This book is well written and will hold your attention from the very first chapter! I highly recommend reading it! I guarantee you will love it!

A mischievous set of twins, a single mom, and a grumpy next door neighbor make for an interesting, barrel of fun, and entertaining read. I found myself laughing and just felt happy after reading this one. Ms Chapman has spot on timing and the characters are so engaging. I found myself immersed in the story and could just picture the antics of those red headed twins. It was nice to see the growth of Deborah and Nick as they learned to navigate their new found friendship. This book can be read as a stand-alone even though it is part of a series that all take place in Indiana. You won’t want to miss this one.

I really enjoyed this Love-Inspired Romance. I bought it at a local store and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given this a 5* rating and I still think about it from time to time. A single Amish woman needs to start dating again, although she feels she's not ready. With a dog and twin preciouses boys, add some farm animals, it was a fun read in places. It was a really good read altogether.
