Very informative. Definitely is helping me learn more about how to keep healthy, especially since I'm a college student and a vegetarian. It also gives helpful information on how to keep the entire family healthy and energetic.

This is a great book for vegetarians or vegans looking to understand more about insulin resistance and the glycemic index and how to balance meals. It's more than just a cookbook - the first half of the book talks about nutritional content of food and what's best for optimal health. There's a small, very informative writeup on PCOS and how insulin resistance is at the root of PCOS and why managing it is so important. Then there are suggested meal plans depending on if you are vegetarian or vegan and whether you are a child, teen, or adult. Then the recipes follow - a nice range of recipes that anybody can make.

Good info but I the first recipe I tried was awful. (barley and red rice salad) Some of the really good-sounding ones are high in calories.
