A story that readers would get lost in for a while.” He said, “Do it!” My daughter, Misty, brother, Mitch, and Mom, Sue said, “Take Ed’s advice, do it!” So I did. The road wasn’t easy, but the education, Amish research, and ride along the way to getting published taught me to take my favorite verse to heart.

Why Amish Inspirational Romance?
I love their dedication to serve God. I visited Amish Country in Ohio many times. They work hard and have such a close knit friendship with each other. It’s heartwarming and uplifting. At the same time, they face hardships and difficult problems just like we do.
God answered my prayers and gave me the best mentor, author, and friend, Patricia Campbell, to hone my skills. I’m blessed to have Dawn Dowdle as my agent, and John S. from Kensington as my editor.
I’m thank for you, the reader, for being interested in my book!
I’d love to hear from you. www.mollyjebber.com

December 23, 2022This is an Amish Fiction, and this is the sixth book in the Amish Charm Bakery series. I just could not get into this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

A sad but uplifting historical Amish romance that takes place around 1915. The location in the book is Charm Ohio. Having been there I can truthfully say that if you blink you have missed the town, but it is very Amish. In between blinks there are some cool Amish shops there that I found to be to my liking. This book had many Amish characters and a few Englisch ones like the Sheriff and the Doctor. One thing I really appreciated about this book was that the characters frequently prayed to God for guidance and help when needed. I thought this book was the best one I have read in this series. There is a rollercoaster of emotions and twist and turns in the story. I loved the gifted writer’s style of writing and the smooth flow of the story. I thought this book was very entertaining and realistic of the simplicity of life and the way people lived in the early 1900s. I felt the time I spent reading this book was very well spent!
Rachael Schlabach is a Amish woman in her mid twenties. A noticeable limp has kept her from romance and getting married. Rachael works at the bakery in Charm and in her spare time she helps out a widower with two children . She would have considered a marriage of convenience to Nathan Wagler because she loved his children. When handsome Caleb Yutzy moves to town he becomes attracted to Rachael. She keeps a secret from him but someday she will have to be honest with Caleb. When Nathan decides to ask Rachael to court him she becomes torn between the two men . What would God have Rachael to do in this situation?
I highly recommend this book to readers of Amish Romance Fiction. Fans of Molly Jebber won’t want to miss reading this book. This is book 6 of the Amish Charm Bakery series. I recommend reading this series in order because some of the characters are carried over from the other books in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed here in this review are my own.

I recently watched a stage play about an Amish girl, so I was eager to delve into another Amish story! I don’t read a lot of Amish Fiction, so it’s doubly exciting when I do.
Rachael’s Decision is an emotional read with themes of love, loss, trust, and faith. Rachael and Caleb are wonderful characters that are easy to connect with. I loved Rachael’s heart and how she cared for the widower Nathan’s children.
Although I haven’t read the previous books in the series, I followed this story with ease and didn’t feel I missed out on anything. I love the central messages of God having a plan for our lives.
#CoverLoverBookReview received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions are 100% mine.

RACHAEL’S DECISION by Molly Jebber is the sixth book in the Amish Charm Bakery series. It’s the heart-tugging story of Rachael Schlabach and Caleb Yutzy that takes place during the year of 1915 in the Amish community of Charm, Ohio.
Rachael has both suffered some great hardships, after being in an accident that killed her finacee and left her with a limp and barren, and enjoyed some great joys, while helping Nathan Wagler - a fellow neighbor, after the death of his wife - by tending to his delightful two children, Joy and Thad, and working at the Amish Charm Bakery with her best friends. She’s fallen in love with the children and although she isn’t in love with their father, she won’t be opposed to a marriage with hopes that love might develop. When Caleb Yutzy walked into the bakery one morning, sparks ignited, on both sides it seemed, that the hope for true love did exist. She realized she couldn’t and won’t marry for convenience. Shortly after meeting, she agrees to being courted by Caleb, but she fears the secret she’s kept from him will put an end to that.
Caleb moved to Charm with his brother, Stephen, sister-in-law, Frannie, and niece, Lily. His brother’s having health issues and Caleb is happy to help carry the load – even if it often meant helping to do the chores that his bossy, irritating and often lazy sister-in-law should be doing. On meeting Rachael, he immediately know this is the woman God has meant for him to marry. Nothing and no one is going to change his mind of that. That includes Rachael’s misconception that because she is barren that he needs to find a woman to give him children and after the death of his brother, Frannie’s irrational thinking that he has to marry her in order to honor his brother’s wish that he take care and provide for his wife and child or the fact that Nathan’s finally woken up to realize his feelings for Rachael and is pursuing her now for marriage.
In the meantime, Rachael’s mamm, Eleanor, is courted by Joseph. It’s not hard for Rachael to see they are in love, but she had to adjust to her mamm being with anyone by her dead. Part of her feeling toward Joseph changed when she heard of his loved one that had crossed the fence to the Englisch world and how he’s not given up on bringing her back into the fold. Eleanor and Joseph soon announce their wedding date and get Rachael’s blessing.
Can Rachael mend hurt feeling with Joy and Thad? Can she convince Nathan to find the woman that he’s meant to be with and not “wait” on her to change her mind? Will Caleb be able to convince Rachael that he wants to be with her for the rest of his days with or without children? Will the love Joseph show to Eleanor help Rachael to see she too deserved all the happiness in the world – including a marriage with Caleb? Can Caleb get through to Frannie that he will never marry her? Will words from the bishop aid in opening her eyes? Or will it be the man that Caleb hires that changes her heart? Will the loved one Joseph brings back to Charm be who he went after? Will true love finally win resulting in a marriage – or two – or three?
RACHAEL’S DECISION is a fabulous, well-written addition to the Amish Charm Bakery series, but at the same time is an excellent standalone book. Rachel’s story is touching, emotional and definitely heart-tugging as well as joyful, happy and fun all woven with the thread of faith. The character’s, some fun and some irritating, interact so as to pull us into the story as we ride the ups and downs, cry and rejoice as secret and events unfold, and all the while hoping for a happily ever after for Rachael and Caleb. Molly Jebber manages to have us experiencing all our emotions in Rachael’s story. Most definitely a FIVE STAR rating from me and I highly recommend this story to anyone that loves a Christian love story while enjoying an Amish viewpoint. Just make sure to have a few tissues at the ready – for points of sadness and sheer joy.

Rachael’s Decision is written by Molly Jebber. This book is part of the Amish Charm Bakery Series. While I’ve read the entire series, this book can be read as a stand alone. The author does a great job in filling out any backstories. This book is set in 1915.
Rachael was in a horrible accident that left her with a noticeable limp and some other scarring. She also lost her fiancé in this accident. She has resigned herself to work in the Amish Charm Bakery. She also assists her neighbor, Nathan after his wife passes away. She loves his children.
One day she meets Caleb. He is new to town and the two of them are drawn to each other instantly. Caleb lives with his brother and sister in law. He has dreams of buying his own farm and land some day. Their courtship moves along fast. Then everything comes crashing around them.
Caleb is faced with unspeakable pain and has to reconfigure some of his plans. Rachael knows she needs to tell him about the extent of some of his injuries to ensure they walk into a life time with no secrets. Rachael is worried that marrying Caleb will deprive him of having his own family.
I loved these characters. Caleb was so in love with Rachael that he wasn’t taking no for an answer. I wasn’t thrilled with Frannie, his sister in law. While the Amish do not pay attention to what goes on in the outside world the author did a great job bringing in real world events to the story.
Thank You to the author, publisher and Celebrate Lit for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

This last book in An Amish Charm Bakery series is one that captured me from the first page. The characters were charming and filled with life despite difficulties they had faced, but with faith nothing is impossible with God.
Rachael was a dedicated worker at the Amish Charm Bakery and enjoyed caring for a widower’s two children. She had a secret from her past and thought possibly Nathan would notice her one day. Caleb Yutzy walked into the bake shop and was drawn to Rachael. His life hasn’t been easy either but he is a hard worker. Unexpected circumstances of life brought sorrow to the community. One character is insistent on her way but with resoluteness and faithfulness by Caleb the community will see God’s hand at work.
Jebber penned another heartfelt tale filled with family, faith, commitment to God, family and community, an intertwined romance where Rachael and Caleb had to depend upon what their heart felt from God.
Thank you to Netgalley, Kensington Publishing and the author for an ARC of this remarkable Amish tale. I was not required to write a favorable review but have shared my own personal thoughts.

This was a wonderful Amish book. It shows after someone dies. How life and love and finding love again can happen. Even a miracle like having a baby but not your own can be a miracle but happen too. This was a wonderful story and it had lots of faith content in it. This book was approved for me to read and review by netgalley and the publisher.

This is another sweet story in Molly Jebber's Amish series that is centered in the bakery in the town of Charm. The story works as a stand-alone.
Rachael has a full life working with her sister in law Magdalena at the bakery, attending services and helping a widower with his young children. She loves the little ones and wonders if one day their daed will notice that she could be there for him once he starts living life again. Then handsome Caleb Yutzy walks into her life and everything changes very quickly.
The story is filled with the sadness of losing loved ones yet community members including Rachael and Caleb move forward while grieving. There is a lot going on in their lives including a secret from Rachael's past that may ruin a loving future for them. Two other people are intent on marrying Rachel and Caleb so conflict arises. There are some predictable portions to the story but it is an enjoyable read that emphasizes that God has plans for His faithful. We need to trust Him. I received this advanced reader's copy fro the publisher and NetGalley. This is my own personal opinion about it.

Rachael’s Decision is the sixth book in the Amish Charm Bakery series. It can be read as a standalone if you are new to the series. The story contains good writing with realistic characters. The story moved at a gentle pace. There was a good flow to the story. I enjoyed getting to know Rachael, Nathan, and Caleb. Nathan’s children, Joy and Thad are sweethearts. Joy stood out to me. She is a precocious child. I like that we get to catch up with the characters in the other Amish Charm Bakery novels including Sheriff Williams and Dr. Harrison. I like how the author uses Sheriff Williams and Dr. Harrison’s having breakfast and reading the paper to add historical details. I found Rachael’s Decision to be an emotional story. It is a story that tugs at your heartstrings. Faith was beautifully incorporated into the story. The characters trust God and rely on Him to guide them. I like that they pray about a decision before making it. I like how the characters had the love and support of family, friends and community. Rachael’s Decision is a poignant tale with a caring community, a bevy of baked goods, a sweet suitor, two sweet kids, an upsetting secret, and a generous God.

This is a sweet read! It's a quick fast paced light read. I am a fan of Amish romance novels due to their clean, heartfelt themes and just simplicity. Molly Jebber did a great job interweaving a story of a girl named Rachael who is torn between being in love and marrying, and not marrying to protect the one she loves. This story has the themes of true love, finding one's self, following what you want, and family throughout. Great novel! I read this as an ARC from Netgalley and Kensington books.

A Tug at Your Heartstrings Story
I found Rachel's Decision to be a tug at your heartstrings story with many ups and downs. The story is one of love vs. obligations and circumstances, truths that can keep love at bay, and obstacles that turn the road to love into a bumpy ride loaded with detours. It is also a story of love and support of community and friends. However, most importantly, it is a story of faith and trusting God and His will, which has the power to overcome anything.
I fully enjoyed Rachel and Caleb's story. It had me on an emotional roller coaster, taking me from happy to sad to frustrated and to hopeful. Nevertheless, the end result was that it left me with a smile on my face.
I greatly enjoyed this wonderful Amish romance story and recommend that you add it to your TBR pile.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book. All comments and opinions are strictly my own.

I loved getting to know Rachel better in this last book of the series. We are able to understand her loss better as the author shares how she lost her intended husband. It is mentioned that Rachel has a limp due to the accident which I think has caused her to be a little self conscious. I adore how Rachel is so caring and humble.
The author gives us a story where Rachel finds herself being pursued by two men. I know it was hard for Rachel to make a decision but I was happy with her choice and was hoping for a happily ever after. However complications set in when Rachel tells Caleb something that she feels will cause him not to want to marry her. I loved the turmoil that we witness as Rachel is torn about who to marry.
The author shows readers how important it is to rely on your faith and to trust God to show you the right direction for you life. I liked both men and at times I could understand why Rachel had a difficult decision. Nathan wants a mother for his children but does he truly love Rachel? Caleb loves Rachel and the feeling are mutual but Rachel believes he will be unhappy because she can’t give him a family.
This story is filled with emotions that will make you cry as well as give you hope as we follow Rachel on her journey to find happiness. There is one character in the story that really tried my patience. She was very selfish and demanding. Her heart is bitter and jealous as she finds out that her future is in jeopardy. This character teaches us that bitterness causes us to become closed off from feelings of joy. The author does an excellent job of illustrating how envy can become something that pulls you away from God’s plan for your life.
I loved the surprises in the story and how faith plays a big part in showing how we should never give up on happiness. This is a beautiful story about family, love, community and faith as we close out this series.

Amish Fiction is one of my favorite Genres to read. Molly Jebber has quickly become a favorite Amish book author of mine. Rachel's Decision is the Book 6 in the Amish Charm Bakery series. I have read a couple of the first books in this series and I always get excited when the newest book comes out.
The setting is Amish Charm Bakery in Ohio in 1915. Rachael Schlabach enjoys working at the Bakery, but she still has dreams of getting married. She has her eyes on a local guy, Nathan, who is a widower with 2 young children. Rachel would love to be able to raise the 2 children and Nathan is a kind guy. Caleb Yutzy is a single man who moves to town. He immediately takes a liking to Rachel and Rachel is interested in him. The 2 begin a courtship and have a conversation when Caleb expresses how much he would love to be a Dad. Rachel has to be truthful and let him know that she cannot bear children. Caleb claim he loves her so much so he is okay with that. Rachel is surprised when Nathan approaches her about dating her after being in a relationship with Caleb for some time. Who will Rachel choose? Will Rachel regret her decision or will there be a happy life?
I enjoyed this book from the time I opened the book until I finished it. Rachel is a kind hearted and loving character. She has a dream to be married, but due to an accident she feels that men won't want to marry her because of her limp and her inability to bear children. My favorite character in this book was Caleb. He puts others before him, especially when Rachel tells him she cannot give him "kinner".
The book is about Faith, Family, and Second Chances at LOVE. The story-line was easy to follow and enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any reader of Amish Fiction. GREAT book!

I would like to thank Netgalley, Kensington Publishing and Molly Jebber for the E Arc of this book. This is the 6th book in the Amish Charm Bakery series.
Rachael has been helping Nathan with his children since their mother passed away, she also works part time at the bakery in town where her sister-in-law also works. She is happy and loves what she does but still wants a husband and family of her own. Maybe Nathan is for her, that is until newcomer to the town Caleb enters the bakery. They are immediately drawn to each other and soon Caleb is asking if he can court her. Nathan when he finds out, realises that he should have asked Rachael was well and does so. Rachael has a big decision to make, does she go with Nathan a man she knows and with children she loves or Caleb with whom she has a strong connection but who wants one thing she can’t give him? We see the Rachael struggle with her decision. I did like that she and other characters relied on their faith and put God at the centre of all that they did.
There were many other stories tied into this one, several plot lines running along side each other. I liked the interplay between the Amish characters and the Englisher ones, they live very much side by side and will help each other when needed. It was also good that the author used the two main Englisher characters to give historical contexts to the story.
This is a good story that tugs at your heartstrings in many ways. If you enjoy Amish stories then this series could be for you.

Rachael’s Decision is a Christian historical Amish romance novel by master storyteller, Molly Jebber. This is book six in her Amish Charm Bakery series. Even though it is book six, it may easily be read and followed as a standalone book.
Set in the quaint town of Charm, Ohio in 1915, this an incredibly engaging tale. It is the story of Rachael Schlabach, whose fiancé was killed in an accident. She was injured and left with a limp from that tragedy. Rachael has been helping widower, Nathan Waller, with his children and household since he lost his wife. Even though he is not ready to begin life with another woman, Rachael is very fond of him and his children.
A new man, Caleb Yutzy, comes to town and visits the bakery. When Caleb sees Rachael he is immediately smitten with her. Rachael is now caught in the middle between two men.
This is a lovely story with adorable characters. Nathan’s two children are typical kids, and liven up the story. The author has a sweet way of telling stories. I was invested within the first few pages and did not want to quit reading until I had finished the entire book. The faith message is heavily sprinkled throughout the story. There are life lessons included, also. Expect a few twists and turns to keep you on your toes.
I highly recommend this book. It is a poignant tale of romance, friendship, redemption, and has the delightful treats of a bakery. I really enjoyed it. It gets a 5 star rating from me. A copy was provided by Celebrate Lit, but these are my own honest words.

I have read most of the books in Molly Jebber’s Amish Charm Bakery series and enjoyed every one. Rachael’s Decision is the sixth book in the series and is just as enjoyable as the others.
About a third of the way through the book I thought I had figured out the direction of the plot and what the end would be. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had come to the wrong conclusion. Accepting difficulties in our life can be challenging. It can also be challenging to share those difficulties with others. Sometimes we think they won’t like us as well if they only knew. Rachael has this problem and I loved how everything worked out for her.
Dealing with difficult people is another challenge addressed in Rachael’s Decision. Caleb’s sister-in-law Frannie is a very difficult person. His brother loves her so Caleb does his best to tolerate her. The difficulties escalate when Caleb’s brother suddenly dies after asking Caleb to take care of his family should anything happen. Caleb interprets the request one way and Frannie interprets it another.
God’s guidance and direction is evident in the lives of the characters in Rachael’s Decision. Readers can find encouragement for their own lives in this story.
While Rachael’s Decision is an adult novel, there is nothing that would keep it from a K-12 Christian school library. It is appropriate for high school.
I received a complimentary copy of Rachael’s Decision. This is my honest review.

Rachel's Decision is the 6th book in the Amish Charm Bakery series by Molly Jebber. This is the story of Rachel, a young Amish woman who lost her fiance to a buggy accident and also has a limp from that same accident, as well as a much-guarded secret. Enter Nathan, a widower with two small children whom Rachel has been caring for since their mom died. Next comes Caleb, a young, single Amish man. He's moved to Charm with his brother and sister-in-law, and their little daughter. Caleb and Rachael instantly his it off, and he soon wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He loves children but she won't be able to give him any, due to the buggy accident. Will they be able to overcome this obstacle, and where does this leave Rachael and Nathan's relationship?
I enjoyed this story and getting re-acquainted with old characters and meeting new ones. There were a couple of unusual things in this Amish story. One was the laziness and manipulativeness of Caleb's sister-in-law, Frannie, and the other was the instant friendship of Rachel with outsider Adelaide. Amish people are known for their industriousness and getting along attitude, as well as their standoffishness of becoming close friends with outsiders.
I was provided a complimentary e-copy of this novel from #NetGalley. All opinions herein are strictly my own.

This is my favorite book by this author. My favorite because of love, family and friendship is strong throughout this sweet tale. And I liked how if it's meant to be it will happen. There's a certain character that is pretty persistent and is a very strong believer about that. The sweet messages of faith is a reminder that God is always in control no matter what. I loved the many prayers that were throughout the book. Rachael especially leaned hard on the Lord even though I thought some of her decisions were kind of silly but yet at the same time I could sort of understand her if that makes sense. Frannie was a hot mess and mighty lazy. I really didn't like her much. I thought her rude at times too. Another thing I loved was that the truth always comes out no matter how hard you try to hide it. I didn't want this book to end. I enjoyed it very much. Jebber is just that good. I always look forward to her stories. I can't say it enough that this is my favorite and I am very happy that Rachel got her own story. This series is awesome. 5 stars for a job well done! I highly recommend. My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I was surprised to see in the synopsis that the book takes place in the early 1900's - it didn't feel any different than other Amish romances I've read set in modern times. This is the sixth and last book in the series. I had not read any of the other books, but didn't feel lost at all.
This is the story of Rachel Schlabach, who was injured in an accident that killed her intended husband. Rachel put aside all thoughts of marriage for a long time, but there is a local man, a widower, who has two children, who is a possibility. He loved his wife very much, and isn't really interested in remarrying for himself, but he needs a woman to care for his children. He works long hours and they can't be with him while he works. Rachel has her own reasons for wanting to marry a man who already has children.
In the meanwhile, a new bachelor moves to town, and sets his sights on Rachel, much to her bewilderment. This is a sweet love story with some ups and downs and I enjoyed it very much.
I received an e-ARC of this book from Kensington Books/Zebra via NetGalley. It was a pleasure to voluntarily read and review this book.

What I think you should know:
Rachael’s Decision by Molly Jebber is the sixth book in the Amish Charm Bakery series. The Series is Historical Amish Fiction set in 1915 Ohio. While this book could be read as a standalone I highly recommend that you read the prior book in the series first as they are really good books!
What I think you should know:
I have enjoyed each of the Amish Charm Bakery series, I love that it has a historical angle to it and gives small glimpses of things that are going on in the world, for example WWI. I enjoy how the characters are still active participants in their community while still maintaining their Amish beliefs. It was interesting to see an Amish Instalove story, this is a storyline that I don’t remember reading before and was well done. Caleb is new to charm and immediately drawn to Rachael. Both characters have loved and lost so they are more mature than some characters, however that didn’t keep them from having problems. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more of Jebber’s works.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

The Charm Amish Bakery Series has been such a joy to read and this book is a delightful way to end it! Author Molly Jebber gives us a chance to catch up with many of the characters that we've met before and another glimpse of Amish life as it was in the early 1900s. Rachael Schlabach works with her sister-in-law Magdelena at the Amish Charm Bakery and she has a difficult choice to make. All she's ever wanted is to be a mother but should she marry a widow that she doesn't romantically love so that she can become a mother to his young children? What about the handsome newcomer who's just arrived in Charm?
Jebber offers a poignant portrayal of Rachael's dilemma. Her sweet, caring nature and her belief in God's Will won't allow her to make a selfish decision but she still knows that pain and hurt are bound to happen. Twists and turns, along with a strong thread of faith, make this a captivating story!
Fans of Amish fiction and clean romance will definitely enjoy Rachael's Decision.
I received a digital copy of this book from the author via Celebrate Lit and NetGalley. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

It’s always a treat to return to Charm, Ohio. Book six, and the final book, in author Molly Jebber’s The Amish Charm Bakery series, like all of the others, can be read as a standalone. However since we visit with characters from the other books do read them for a more fulfilling experience.
Jebber writes about real to life characters set in the 1900s so the tone is a bit more formal. However it is heartwarming and charming. I’d love to visit the bakery and have coffee with all of the ladies that work there.
Strong, and well developed, you will fall in love with all of the characters. Sometimes I wanted to shake Rachael for being so self-sacrificing but she is working through a tough situation. Caleb wants her for a wife but that may not happen. And add in two adorable children who want Rachel for their own and you have quite a quandary.
If you enjoy Amish fiction then do read Rachael’s Decision.

Rachael enjoys her time working at the Amish Charm Bakery, baking, creating, and meeting new and old customers. She doesn’t let her limp hold her back. She obtained her injury and lost her fiancé in an accident a while back. She is still looking for love and has possible suitors in a widower with two children and a newcomer in town, Caleb, who immediately sparks her interest.
These characters all won me over, as they did in previous stories, except for newcomer Frannie. She was demanding, selfish and lazy. But she was also sister-in-law to Caleb, who Rachael has taken an interest in.
Complications arise with several relationships and things begin to get confusing. How will this ever resolve? Grab a chair with a beverage and maybe a cookie or two and disappear into Charm, Ohio. A nice escape from reality for a while. A bonus is three delicious recipes in the back from the bakery. I can almost smell them baking!

Rachael’s Decision is a wonderful novel! I’ve loved every last book in this series and can’t wait to see what else is to come!
Rachel has a lot to figure out. She’s had some hard things come her way and yet she is still trying to find what she should do with her future. What she thought she’d never have is available for her. It’s staring at her in the face but she feels she doesn’t deserve it or can’t take it.
What will happen if she decides she doesn’t deserve what is being given to her?
I thought at the beginning I knew exactly how the book was going to go. We hit that point at maybe 45% in. So obviously there were some twists and turns I wasn’t expecting, but I should have because I love this author and have read several of her books.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received through Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. Rachael's Decision
Molly Jebber
I will give it 2 stars but just barely.
So, many things are incorrect within this book. The Amish, especially 100 years ago, do not typically pray out loud. Why was there was no research into what Amish would have been like 100 years ago? Why is this classified as a historical fiction book?
Nothing to indicate this is historical fiction. Almost 20% in before there is a brief discussion about the potential for what will be WW1 and then just a few brief references after that.
The behavior of the main characters is extremely bold for both the Amish men and women, especially in this setting.
Dawdi house is the term for the small house behind the main house. I feel like the author just threw in some Amish words and called it good enough. I am disappointed at how very little research went into this book.
I will not read this author again nor recommend her.

Molly Jebber wraps up the "Amish Charm Bakery" series and returns us to Charm, Ohio, in book six, Rachael's Decision. The narrative functions nicely on its own, but reading the entire series results in a richer experience.
Given that it is set in the early 1900s, this story works well as historical fiction. However, many people in today's society deal with similar heartbreaking and sad issues. Rachael Schlabach, the protagonist, has a strong, unwavering sense of faith and confidence in God throughout her quest for love. I truly admired that.
In addition, Jebber offers recipes at the conclusion of the book, which made me drool and want to cook them all!
Rachael's Decision will appeal to readers who like Molly Jebber and Amish fiction, and I heartily suggest it to others as well.

Whether or not you have read any of the five other books in this endearing series, this story will grab you and touch your heart. It stands well alone, but the setting and many characters continue from the other novels in the Amish Charm Bakery series. This one focuses on Rachael, who works at the bakery. Two men wish to court her, but along with each man’s family come issues and conflicts. Also, Rachael holds a secret that might affect her future. The compelling story draws readers right in and makes them feel like they’re eyewitnesses and experiencing the joys and trials with the characters. The people in the story seem real, but I was surprised to find a lazy Amish woman who took advantage of others. The story is quite character driven, and the characters make readers care about what happens to them. If you enjoy Amish tales, don’t miss this one. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

What a great way to finish up The Amish Charm Bakery series. I’m sad to see it end but was glad Rachel was chosen to be last as her story was as charming as the series title. If you are looking for a more simplistic way of life then delve into this series as you will wish you could actually visit the bakery and get to know the characters personally. I love that Caleb looks beyond Rachel’s disabilities and looks at her heart and doesn’t give up on his pursuit of her. It reminds me of the way God pursues and woos us to Him. Even though this takes place in 1915 it feels like it could be taking place today, so even if you aren’t a historical reader you would still enjoy this. I loved the deep ties of family, friends, and community while trusting God to show His perfect plans. A perfect example of God making beauty from the ashes. I felt blessed after reading this one.

Rachael’s Decision by Molly Jebber takes place in 1915 in Charm, Ohio. This Amish story centers around Rachael Schlabach and her family and friends along with the bakery where she works. Rachael’s betrothed died in a tragic accident, so she fills her days or king at the Amish Charm Bakery and helping a widower with two young children.
Caleb Yutzy, his brother, his sister-in-law, along with his niece recently moved to Charm. When he meets Rachael, he realizes she is the one God means for him to marry.
With deaths, courtships, family interactions, and more this book kept me reading. With second chances at love, the creation of families and more, Molly Jebber creates a wonderful story. I loved getting to know the characters and finding out how the storyline developed.
So if you enjoy sweet Amish romances, check out this book for yourself. I definitely recommend it.
