Meet Rahul Malhotra, a playboy from South Delhi, for whom there is no word like “commitment” in his dictionary.
Meet Tanvi Banerjee, a Bengali girl from Kolkata, for whom there is no such thing as a "casual relationship".
Yet, sparks fly when this Dilli ka Munda, Rahul, meets the sweet Bengali girl, Tanvi, in a lavish wedding function in Delhi.
After a few months of a long-distance relationship, Rahul comes face to face with Tanvi’s orthodox Bengali family for the first time to ask her hands for marriage. But, instead, he is insulted and kicked out of her house as his murky past resurfaces.
How Rahul transforms himself into a Bengali driver to gain an entry in Tanvi’s life again and what trials and tribulations he goes through for his love forms the basis of this story.
When Delhi meets Kolkata is a quirky love story filled with crazy situations and witty humour which will leave you in splits and make you feel the magic of love again!
Love does change of heart. Love transforms people. That is what we usually see in books and movies as well. Here's a book that revolves around a similar thing and questions how far one can go in love?
When Delhi Meets Kolkata by Parvesh Kumar is a contemporary romance novel that revolves around a Delhi boy, Rahul, and a Bengali girl, Tanvi. Rahul is a playboy who grew up with childhood trauma. This spills over to his view on relationships and he considers them nothing more than casual flings.
One day, he bumps into Tanvi who loves her family dearly. To her, love is a pious feeling and she looks for a long-lasting relationship.
The book traces how these two come together and what fate their togetherness holds.
I found the story fun and normal. It starts with a lot of sensuality and steam but everything fizzles out along the way. In fact, I felt the introductory chapters could have been written differently to add more value to the central storyline.
No doubt, I absolutely disliked our protagonist Rahul who was too filmy and outright dishonest in so many of his activities. What I found more bizarre was his relationship progression with Tanvi and how they find their way to each other. Besides, a few things such as objectification of women and language were a tad bit problematic.
The writing is comprehensible and engaging which made the story worth reading. I liked the cohesion in the narrative for most parts and how the two cultures are brought together seamlessly. And I would have liked the book more if the execution of the story was better. Not just in terms of storytelling but also in terms of twists and turns to make it unique.
Nonetheless, When Delhi Meets Kolkata is a one-time read and you might like it if you love reading Bollywood-styled romance novels.

| PERSONAL INSIGHT | - 🌸 I Enjoyed Reading the Book. The Story has many Twists and Turns. The Story is An Engaging and Refreshing to be Read. The Book Is a Good Pick for Someone Who Likes to Read Conventional Romantic Fiction Stories.
Writing a book is a long and arduous task. I commend Pravesh Kumar on getting to the finish line with his debut novel.
Honestly, I have never in my life read a book so desperately in need for professional editing. The formatting is all over the place with this one. There are paragraphs indents jumping from wide margin to narrow margin, there are sentences jumping to a new line in the middle, and opening quotation marks at end of a sentence. I only wish the Paperback version does not have this issue – I read the Kindle version.
And – spoiler warning – the author uses the words ‘after hearing’ extremely frequently. After the first dozen times or so, I got triggered whenever I read ‘after hearing’ in the sentences.
I checked the book out on Kindle Unlimited as was intrigued by the title more than anything…certainly more than by the blurb. I have lived in Delhi for a little under a year but I have spent over 8 years of my life in the City of Joy. So, I was a bit underwhelmed to see that the book titled When Delhi Meets Kolkata lacked in the flavour of both Delhi and Kolkata.
I mean, the locations are only locations and do nothing to add to the flavour of the story. But that is OK.
This is a story of a self-proclaimed playboy. An ultra-rich, self-absorbed protagonist without a job, without a vision or a future plan, and with a crude ego riding on his multiple strikes in the matter of getting laid in Delhi. Rahul Malhotra narrates his conquests with pride but actually does nothing to add to the character’s development.
Now a person like this falls head over heels for a Bengali woman named Tanvi Banerjee: Love at first sight.
What follows is Rahul’s attempts to find her, contact her and woo her.
The last part sends him to Kolkata where he manages to make Tanvi fall in love with him. How? I don’t know. This was the place where I was most invested in the story. But that period of one week, which should have formed the backbone of this romance, cemented the reciprocation of love, explained the acceptance of fate over engagement, was actually presented to the reader as a short summary of a few dates and conversation.
The reader is privy to very little of the conversations between these two, nor is it clarified in any manner how a young, educated, beautiful, rich—not to mention engaged—Bengali girl agrees to marry a man whose sole profession is partying and who specializes in sleeping with random women.
I know – stranger things have happened, both on pages of a book and in real life, and have been attributed to love. I only wanted to enjoy the how of it while reading. A romance without the nuances of emotions changing and people evolving, well, is not very stimulating to read. And talking about stimulating, the raunchy scenes in the story are few and far between, but most importantly, feel dry.
A sequel is coming, as promised by the author. Although I am not keen on reading that, I do hope the author works on his writing style which, though quite reader friendly and easy to understand, is quite repetitive and unpolished.
Some books lighten up the burden in your heart and pull you into the world of the protagonists. This is one such book for me. For a person who is into serious books, this book reminded me the joy of reading, the smiles it can evoke and the comfort it gives. Surely now romantic comedy is my stress buster and I know it will ease me everytime I want to fly away and dream.
The protagonist of the book is Rahul. I instantly remember Rahul from Kuch kuch hota hai who was a cool dude, ladies women but had a heart of gold. I felt the same with the Rahul of Parvesh Kumar sirs book. The language and his thoughts were pure and unfiltrated. His recollections of his past bring a smile on my face. His childhood sweetheart or college lover. He had several flings but a man determined never to love, fell head over heels in love with a Bengali beauty.
The story tells us how their relationship evolved over a period of time and how they tried to solve the many issues which almost every couple face.
I loved the beginning of the book. It was damn funny and I appreciate the comic sense of the author. After finishing this book, I eagerly want to know what will happen to Rahul and Tanvi and how their relationship will proceed. A must read from my end for a good laugh and a vivid trip to Kolkata.
It was such a cute and entertaining love story ! It was a perfect mix of romance and humor. The book is filled with so many witty dialogues and crazy activities and I enjoyed it a lot!
This book revolves around Rahul and Tanvi , who fall in love but as they belong to different communities , unfortunately they got seperated. But then...Rahul comes over to Tanvi's house transforming himself as a Bengali driver. This kind of love is rarely seen and would fill your heart with so many emotions .
It's a great engaging story and would keep you hooked to the story until you finish it.The plot of this novel is based on a romcom. With the help of some great bollywood vibes !
Though few parts were predictable but as we all know most Love stories are predictable. With simple and easy language the story is good start for someone who wants to start reading. The witty humour in the plot was admirable.

To be very straightforward today, I'll just say if you've read or watched 2 States ( a Bollywood movie) and watched a few Indian Drama serials, consider this book a mix of those two. I would not say much about the storyline as you can read the blurb for that, but there was nothing special in the vocabulary and the writing style of the author. The book still needs a lot of work to do.
I won't talk much about this book today as it wasn't worth my time nor would be anyone else's. So that's all.
P.S The book cover is too cute, so one star for that too. ☺️
Book Name - When Delhi Meets Kolkata Writer - Parvesh Kumar Genre - Romance
Short Summary -: The book showcase the story of 2 totally different people and their journey of becoming together with the bond of love. The male protagonist 'Rahul' a typical Delhi boy who loves doing fun & having parties all the time. He was always ready to do crazy things and always ready to take challenges. It was like his job but it made him irresponsible and careless and he didn't have any aim or commitment towards anything in life not until he met 'Tanvi' the female protagonist who was a typical bong girl. She was a girl with beauty and brain both. He 1st saw her in his friend's wedding. And at the very moment when he saw her, she gave a tingle to his heart, and from them he became crazy about her. It was like he got an aim for the very 1st time and he was ready to anything to get her. He even became her driver and eventually at the end of the book both of them finally after breaking all the barriers become commited.
Things I Liked -:
1. The story - I feel that this story is made for a movie lover as it the story contains all the elements of a bollywood romance movie and it actually make this a fun book because it revives all those moments of the life which many of us may never get or feel in our life and the story exactly present those moments in a very amazing and crazy ways. It's a fictional story and it has proved how far we can go in love it it's fictional way which i actually enjoyed
2. The character - The blending of the character with their personal life, according to their place and surrounding was also presented in a well manner as we get to know about 2 totally different people belonging from different state, society, have different mindset and we get to know about both of them and how they handled each other. As we know being in love means to understand each other also to put your leg in each others shoe which the characters of this book proofs.
3. The narration of the book was fluid and good. It was easy to blend in with the story and also because of it the story become easy to understand and didn't become confusing.
4. The language of the book was also simple. The author has tried to keep the language as simple as possible and because of that this can be a good read for new readers too.
Things I didn't like -:
The character development of the book was great but not the character. To be honest I didn't like the way author presented the male protagonist his story was too cheesy and author has tried to do everything to make him look bad and irresponsible which i really hated and also after being in love suddenly his personality changed upside down it happened too fast author could've given more time for this. That not all, at many places the male protagonist objectified woman which made the reading fun go away.
My Opinion -: This book is a treat for those who love crazy love stories just like Bollywood movie where the main character was ready to do every crazy stuff for her girl and this book was just like that. It was a fun read though. I loved some of the moment from the book where I felt like I might have done the same crazy things like the protagonist did Other than that the narration was also good and the language too was easy. It can be a really good book for new readers too.
BOOK NAME: When Delhi meets Kolkata AUTHOR: Parvesh Kumar PAGES: 224
When Delhi meets Kolkata is a story about a guy, a spoilt brat, a playboy who would make women fall for him with his well-built body and wealth. Rahul Malhotra son of a well-known businessman from south Delhi is a common or well-known name in Delhi’s page 3 parties. He is a guy who never knew the meaning of true love, he had been in multiple meaningless relationships and several one-night stands with girls from the clubs. His view on love and relationships took a U-turn when he met Tanvi Banerjee at his friend’s wedding. Tanvi is a Bengali girl from a conservative family who would never let her marry a non-Bengali boy. Will Rahul be successful in winning both her heart and her family’s trust? Read further to find out more.
This book gives a Bollywood vibe that’s how I felt throughout reading the book. The author has used very simple vocabulary and the writing style is good. You can complete the book in one sitting if you are a Bollywood lover but for me, this book did not meet my expectations or the standard I had while picking up the book. It is complete fiction, and I couldn’t relate to any of the characters. Every incident was dramatic and comic giving an old Bollywood vibe with zero logic. It’s an A-Okay type book for me.
Few things I liked about the book 1. The way the author described the male lead gives the picture of a playboy 2. The simple way of writing 3. Bringing two different cultures to the picture. 4. Very few characters and it is easy to remember their names too. 5. The cover of the book is decent.
Few things I found problematic in the book 1. I found the way the author addressed Shreya’s brother as a little hippo unnecessary and problematic. 2. The way he described the nurse from the veterinary hospital is also problematic. 3. The story was so unrealistic.
I feel that the author should show the negative side of a character by describing their personality not their body size or their appearance. I would give three stars to this book.
Hello all the book lovers, I am back with a new book review. As I am from Kolkata so I was intrigued by the title of the story. I was expecting it to be a short little love story, but the story turned out different. The story is about Rahul, who is a fun and party freak. He likes to flirt and take life quite casually. But during his best friend Adi’s wedding he met a girl in a red saree who imprinted his heart. Rahul is determined to discover her identity. Soon Rahul and Tanvi mingled in a relationship, but troubles were yet to knock on the door. Tanvi’s family is strict in their culture and they found Rahul’s background quite unacceptable. Will they marry against their family's wish or they will simply forget about the love?
It is quite hard to follow through with a story when you are hating the male character. I understand, that the author was trying to project a playful and fun character through Rahul, but this character just made me utterly disgusted. I do agree the character of Rahul took some development, but it was so poorly arranged that one can hardly come over the negative feelings. I felt the story focused on all the wrong parts. The beginning of the story covered the greater part of Rahul’s previous relationship which I felt was quite insignificant. This reduced the space between Rahul and Tanvi’s relationship. Their relationship development was comprised of such little section, that I could never connect to the plot. And the major disliking part happened, by the end of the book. Tanvi reasoned with Rahul that she cannot slide down with him, as her family took care of her for 23 years or so. However, she is ready to commit to Rahul for her future endeavours which is a very important decision in life, but she is moving forwards with no trust and clarity. The whole point of their relationship development seemed pretty baseless to me. And lastly, I did not feel the book contains any surprising element, I have watched 1000 films on this same concept. Hence, this read was quite disappointing for me.
___ 📍Spoiler: this is just part 1 of the book & the story doesn't end here. Book 2 is on its way!
What a laughter riot! It seemed like watching a Govinda kindof movie, if you know what i mean!
There's family drama, realistic situations, fictional too, love romance & laughter! Omg, the comedy got to me so bad! I was laughing n smiling throughout 😂
What happens when a pro playboy actually falls in love & literally grinds his teeth (दातों तले लोहे के चने चबाना) to get the love of his life, was really entertaining to watch! Yes watch because the writing is so descriptive, you literally imagine the screen play infront of your eyes! The episode with the college girl was totally hilarious 🤣
A great total masala packet with simple vocab for beginner readers! Can't wait to see what happens in book 2!

✨BOOK REVIEW✨ Book Name- When Delhi Meets Kolkata📚 AUTHOR- Parvesh Kumar🪶
Essentially, it's a romantic comedy. There were two sections to the story, one where the hero's life was unique before he met his woman love at his dearest companion's marriage, and one where it was unique after he met his woman love at his dearest companion's marriage.
There is no word like responsibility in the word reference to Rahul Malhotra, the primary hero from South Delhi. While Tanvi Banerjee is a Bengali young lady from Kolkata, there is no such thing as a relaxed relationship for her. All things considered, flashes fly when Rahul and Tanvi meet at a rich wedding service in Delhi. A couple of months after they started a remote relationship, Rahul meets her standard family for the absolute first time. Instead of being invited, he is offended and ousted from the house due to his dim past. As an approach to restoring section into her life, Rahul changes himself into a Bengali driver. To find out about his hardships, read this book.
The book has a Bollywood energy to it, and that is the way I felt while understanding it. It is straightforward, the writer utilizes clear jargon, and the composing style is great. If you are a Bollywood fan, you can complete the book rapidly, yet for my purposes, it didn't live up to the assumptions I had when I got it. There was a feeling of old Bollywood in each episode, with emotional and comic components.
I feel this isn't the finish of the story, and I anticipate knowing the destiny of the two darlings in the following part. This book will engage individuals who appreciate Bollywood-style romantic tales. A decent perused for those who need something short and light. 🍃Have a wonderful read🍃 The rating for this book is 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Honestly, I was driven into the book coz of its title. This story is about two individuals falling in love but living in different states that have a different logic. It's super interesting. Talking about the storyline, the whole concept of being an Indian first is really appealing, and connects instantly. Again the characters are not well built, Tanvi Banerjee, a Bengali girl from Kolkata, for whom there is no such thing as a "casual relationship". The most comic and romantic comes enthusiastic book I had ever read. Simply it's to the core in all emotions. Iam fond of it, the characters, their dialogues, the way of describing things, everything is just killing hard man. Out of the world. I love it, no words is there for me to explain the feel I got by reading even after many times the same I get. Mouthstruck. Most lovable story of love and family. I'm just addicted to it. When Delhi meets Kolkata is a quirky love story filled with crazy situations and witty humour which will leave you in splits and make you feel the magic of love again! Overall, this book is worth a read and an entertainer. I'm not saying anything more because I want you all to find out for yourself how interesting it is.
🥀The book " When Delhi meets Kolkata" is an impeccable romantic fiction penned by this amazing author Parvesh Kumar. The plot is about a South Delhi guy "Rahul Malhotra", a playboy and a spoilt brat who has no phrase like commitment in his life and comes from a rich family and on the other hand "Tanvi Banerjee" the female protagonist who has a solely opposite personality is a Bengali girl and comes from a typical orthodox Bengali family.
🥀Their first meet-up with each other happened at a wedding function. Belonging from two different environments and having entirely contrary mindsets about relationships it will be really interesting to browse how they fell for each other. But that's not it in the story that's where the intrigue begins because Tanvi's family would never allow their daughter to marry a non-Bengali guy.
🥀So the question is will Rahul be able to convince her family? Will they be able to live their happily ever after?? is what to be read till the end. The story is very entertaining and the character especially Rahul, is very charming and also gives Bollywood vibe through his personality. The fundamental thing to captivate the readers is its funny dialogues and crazy occurrences.
🥀I adored the way the writer composed and outlined all the characters. They all have a significant role in the story and bring the story to life. The way the author has jotted down the story makes you completely fall in love with the book. The language is simple, the writing is amazing, and the storyline is intriguing from the start you will be completely gripped and will not be able to put the book down. Highly recommended🙌🏻
Congratulations the author Parvesh Kumar for writing a ablaze Heart touching book. The language of the book is very simple. When Delhi Meets Kolkata By Parvesh Kumar is basically a fictional story. I started reading this book and needed two days to complete it. I love fictional love stories and may be that's why I started reading this.
This is a fictional story about a boy named Rahul from Delhi , who is a Playboy and Tanvi from Kolkata believes within the constitution of marriage. He has no such time period in his dictionary as commitment. There isn't any such thing as a casual courting together with her. His view on love and relationships took a U-turn when he met Tanvi Banerjee at his buddy’s wedding ceremony. Tanvi is a Bengali girl from a conservative own family who could in no way allow her marry a non-Bengali boy.
But this was just the beginning of an urge to be together . With a long term relationship of a few months and finally meeting up with Tanvi's parents gives a completely different scenario for Rahul. As things have always been easy for him but as we know all good things comes at a cost. But will Rahul be able to pay the cost by being insulted, thrown out and what not.....
I think this is a perfect book. One can easily read it out. This is a happy and comfortable read for me. Highly recommended for those people who are love Bollywood-styled romance novels.
💐 A special thanks to the author Parvesh Kumar.
My Ratings:-
Overall - 4/5(⭐) Title 5/5(⭐) Cover - 5/5(⭐) Language - 5/5(⭐)
When Delhi Meets Kolkata by Pravesh Kumar is a romantic comedy which explores Rahul and Tanvi's story. It starts with Rahul meeting his childhood best friend Adi, who is going to get married in two days and from there it gives us an insight in Rahul's life and his personality. To be able to write the protagonist in all its glory and not hiding the character's flaw is something I admire, but I have to admit, I seriously did not connect to Rahul for the major part of the story and was not a very big fan of his. But then he meets Tanvi's family, who refuse to accept him and in a truly out of character manner he decides he will act as a Bengali driver to reenter Tanvi's life and please her family to win their blessings for the marriage. This honestly reminded of Govinda and Karishma Kapoor's Hero No. 1, so safe to say the story is quite a bit dramatic in a manner only Bollywood movies can be. This change of character was appreciated as it showed a development in Rahul's personality, which I frankly liked very much. Coming to the plot, it gives little space to Tanvi and Rahul's relationship and that leaves me rather unsatisfied. Living in one of the cities mentioned in the title, Kolkata to be precise, I also feel that the writer could have used the cities mentioned in the title a bit more, I would have very much enjoyed it. Apart from that, every thing was fine. Will recommend it to those who enjoy a fast paced romantic comedy story.
Basically, it's a rom-com. There were two parts to the story, one where the protagonist's life was completely different before he met his lady love at his best friend's marriage, and one where it was completely different after he met his lady love at his best friend's marriage.
There is no word like commitment in the dictionary of Rahul Malhotra, the main protagonist from South Delhi. While Tanvi Banerjee is a Bengali girl from Kolkata, there is no such thing as a casual relationship for her. Even so, sparks fly when Rahul and Tanvi meet at a lavish wedding ceremony in Delhi. A few months after they began a long-distance relationship, Rahul meets her orthodox family for the very first time. Rather than being welcomed, he is insulted and expelled from the house because of his murky past. As a way of gaining entry back into her life, Rahul transforms himself into a Bengali driver. To learn about his trials and tribulations, read this book.
The book has a Bollywood vibe to it, and that's how I felt while reading it. It is easy to understand, the author uses straightforward vocabulary, and the writing style is good. If you are a Bollywood fan, you can finish the book quickly, but for me, it didn't meet the expectations I had when I picked it up. There was a sense of old Bollywood in every incident, with dramatic and comic elements.
I feel this is not the end of the story, and I look forward to knowing the fate of the two lovers in the next part. This book will definitely appeal to people who enjoy Bollywood-style love stories. It's a good read for those who want something short and light.
When Delhi Meets Kolkata, the book A novel about love is written by Parvesh Kumar. The plot examines the difficulties of love, family, and love marriage, particularly the drama that might accompany an Indian love marriage.
Rahul Malhotra, a South Delhi man, is the main character in the narrative. He was a man who had never experienced genuine love and had instead engaged in a number of pointless romances and one-night encounters with clubgirls. Tanvi Banerjee, a Bengali girl, is also mentioned. Tanvi is a very different personality than Rahul, who does not believe in commitment. They initially ran into each other during a wedding reception. Since they come from two quite different settings and have very different views on relationships, it will be fascinating to see how they interact.
However, my favourite moment is when Rahul pretends to be a Bengali taxi driver in order to re-enter Tanvi's life. And the core of this entire tale is the ups and downs he endures because of his love. I found it fascinating how the relationship between Tanvi and Rahul is depicted in a brilliant way with equal parts humour and lunacy, from first falling in love to being rejected by Tanvi's family to pushing forward and persuading them to accept it. It would be more fascinating, in my opinion, if the author added anything more to the plot.

His past mistakes come back to haunt him, and he is promptly kicked out of her house.
But Rahul is nothing if not determined. He transforms himself into a Bengali driver and sets out to win back the love of his life, no matter what it takes. What follows is a madcap adventure that will leave you laughing out loud and cheering for Rahul every step of the way.
When Delhi meets Kolkata by Parvesh Kumar When Delhi meets Kolkata is a quirky love story filled with crazy situations and witty humour which will leave you in splits and make you feel the magic of love again! This book was exquisitely heart-rending, the story completely unpredictable and writing beautiful. I felt instantly connected to Rahul and Tanvi, they were written with perfectly heartwarming depth.
The storyline explores the complexities of love, family and love marriage especially how dramatic Indian love marriage can be,i loved how varied shades be it falling in love to getting rejected by Tanvi's family to moving forward, to making them accept the love of Tanvi and Rahul is painted cleverly with equal parts wit and madness.
The writing is good and author did a great job bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the unfolding of each and every chapter i had a blast with every flick. I haven't come across a legit that made me laugh out loud in a long time.
I read it one sitting and didn't even know it was hours felt like minutes' for me, as the book ended I had a smile on my face and now I am worried I have to find another book just as good as this.
As the story unfolds in this book, the author's clever use of language and witty humor create a magical atmosphere, making us feel like we're living in the moment with the characters. The characters themselves are beautifully crafted, multi-dimensional, and relatable, making us root for them and become invested in their journey.

The story is full of unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the characters will stay with you long after you've turned the last page.
The author's writing style is enchanting, with a rich vocabulary and charming use of metaphors and imagery that transport us to the world of the story. The pacing of the story is just right, with a perfect balance of humor, drama, and romance that keeps us engaged from beginning to end.

Meet Rahul Malhotra, a charming playboy from South Delhi who wouldn't know commitment if it hit him in the face. He's always lived a life of casual relationships and reckless abandon, never really caring about the consequences of his actions. And then there's Tanvi Banerjee, a sweet and demure Bengali girl from Kolkata who values tradition, family, and relationships above all else.
When these two unlikely lovers meet at a lavish wedding in Delhi, sparks fly. Despite their opposing views on love, Rahul and Tanvi embark on a long-distance relationship that's filled with challenges. But when Rahul decides to meet Tanvi's conservative Bengali family to ask for her hand in marriage, things get even crazier.
Tanvi's family is not impressed with Rahul's reputation, and they promptly kick him out of their house. But Rahul is not one to give up easily. He transforms himself into a Bengali driver and sets out to win back Tanvi's heart, no matter what it takes.
When Delhi Meets Kolkata, a funny romantic drama by Parvesh Kumar is a book full of craziness. By this I mean, the book covers a love story of a playboy with a typical Bengali girl. Though it is the first part of the book yet it seems their love story will be successful but without reading the second part you cannot come to know about this.
The book is full of apt comparisons with book characters, actors, athletes and many more. One such example is when the narrator runs at a speed such that Usain Bolt would be proud of him. And a similar comparison was done with Milkha Singh. I feel surprised to see the way the author has expressed the same feature with two different perspectives. There are a number of parts of the story where you will witness this.
Take Away: It was a joyful reading experience for me. I never thought of a romantic story book in a filmy dramatic style. I loved the concept of the book, though it was more a bollywood movie type.
For Author: You wrote very well and made me enrich my vocabulary with many new words.
I would recommend this book to people looking to read the romance drama in a fun way.
The main protagonist, Rahul Malhotra, is a so called playboy from South Delhi for whom there is no word like commitment in his dictionary. On the other hand, Tanvi Banerjee, is a Bengali girl from Kolkata for whom there is no such thing as casual relationship. Yet sparks fly when Rahul meets Tanvi in a lavish wedding function in Delhi. After a few months of a long distance relationship, Rahul meets her orthodox family for the very first time for marriage. But instead, he is insulted and kicked of the house as his murky past resurfaces. Rahul transforms himself into a Bengali driver to gain entry in her life again. Read this book to know about his trials and tribulations.
This is a clichéd Bollywood story. I couldn’t really relate to the storyline and found it unrealistic. In fact, I found it a bit difficult to complete this book. Although the writing style is simple, the author has tried using complex words in the initial chapters. I liked how two different cultures are brought together. Defining the characters based on the size of their bodies and objectifying women were things that put me off.

When Delhi Meets Kolkata By Parvesh Kumar is basically a fictional story. I started reading this book and needed two days to complete it. I love fictional love stories and may be that's why I started reading this. What seemed interesting to me is that, the title 'When Delhi meets Kolkata' is itself like two opposites meeting each other, like two persons from different background, born and brought up different with different lifestyles and how it's supposed to be living their position. I lived the characters of the book throughout by reading it. I connected with them and could relate at many points. As it's said, the colour of love is red, the protagonist here, Rahul, fun and flirty guy met a girl wearing a red saree and it's when the whole of the story starts. Well, startings are always wonderful but how's it going to end or if it continued you're gonna find it only if you take sometime and enjoy reading the book. Overall the title, the concept, the characters, seemed quite appealing to me which why I'll recommend it to the fictional book lovers. I'm rating it 4 star, one star deducted because at some point I expected something more or something different towards the end.
🍷After so long, I read a romance novel that made me smile and laugh and made me forget all the stress and worries. This is a perfect weekend read that will truly bring that spark in your life again. It's such a binge worthy read. . . The storyline revolves around the two wonderful protagonists who are so different from one another but the fun starts when they the families are involved, I was constantly smiling and was curious to know what will happen next. . . It's a book that will remind you of your dramatic love story or marriage story if you had one, the characters are well sketched, they're so normal, so relatable yet so spicy at times. I loved the overall vibe of the writing, like it covers the plot yet it's so entertaining and enjoyable. The masala it has kept me glued towards it and I was admiring the efforts they were taking to make things work out. The book has two sides, the one that showcases love so beautifully and other side which potrayed human behaviour and characteristics having elements of fun, family, frustration and anger. . . The ending was smooth and it's definitely an unpredictable, fast paced story. Go for it. . Rating: 4⭐️

Often we have been told that relationships are stronger and generally easier when the two people share a lot in common.
Yet, there is a famous notion surrounding how opposites attract and there are so many cases which show how the partners in a relationship can be completely un-alike, but still entirely in love.
Rahul and Tanvi, the main protagonists from the story, ‘When Delhi Meets Kolkata’ are a classic example to show how sparks fly betwen two human beings who have distinguishly different and opposing personalities.
A new relationship itself comes with a lot of challenges that the couple has to overcome, however the task is especially more challenging when cultural differences take place.
In such cases, one particular individual cannot be blamed because different customs teach distinct values and priorities, and that is exactly what happens with Tanvi and Rahul.
Now how the couple will bridge this gap and find their happily ever after was a series of very dramatic and playful narrative, which the author has portrayed wonderfully, hence I am going to give this book FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
