Nancy Herndon lives in El Paso, Texas, with her husband, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at the University of Texas at El Paso. She travels with her husband throughout America and Europe, enjoying new places, interesting people, good food, opera, and scientific conferences.
El Paso city, by the Rio Grande.... A police detective novel set in my home town and centered around my former employer. Names were changed of course, El Paso to Las Angeles, Texas and the Las Angeles PD. Having moved away over 20 years ago, I loved visiting the sites that I used to haunt. Ms. Herndon did a great job describing the job of detectives and the inner workings of a police force. I am always happy to read a novel where Police out maneuver politicians! Great description of the people and their culture. She left me craving a huge Mexican combo plate.
