Collared Ever After #6

Sculptures and Snuggles

Rate this book
Sometimes the one who got away…didn’t.

Dustin’s world came crashing down when his position teaching art at the local college was cut. Little did he know it would become one of the best things to happen to him, forcing him to take his sculpting seriously and thrusting him onto the art scene. Now he has it all: money, gallery shows that sell out opening night, and a sculpture in one of the most prominent architectural marvels in his old city.

Only, it isn’t everything at all—what is life without someone to love?

Preston lived the corporate dream, climbing the ladder on his way up to a corner office. If only it didn’t take all of his waking hours and envelop him with enough stress to suck the joy out of life. When he’s asked to go to the city for the grand reveal of his company’s new sculpture, Preston’s happy for the change of pace. He soon discovers that the sculpture was designed by the only person he ever loved, the one he let get away out of fear.

Could this be a new chance with his one true love?

Sculptures and Snuggles is an MM second-chance romance featuring a daddy without a boy, a new beginning with the one who got away, true love, a human paci, ABDL, and, of course, chickie nuggets. Sculptures and Snuggles is book six of the popular Collared Ever After MM romance series, each book focusing on a new couple who finds their Kinkily Ever After at Club Collared while keeping in touch with old friends.

** Sculptures and Snuggles was originally published as part of Dirty Daddies Pride . This version includes 15,000 words of additional new content.

The second chance trope was simply too easy for me. I like my second chance to be angsty, full of guilt and hurt maybe a little betrayal. When they finally found each other back, their attraction was insta. Literally like picking up what was left behind.

And it’s not just that, because it was too easy, and the way they act like nothing had happened, both of them had me believe that they didn’t grow from their past. Or have boundaries. Like actual adults. I mean, they kissed on the first night they met after years of separation, they also immediately feel comfortable talking about being Daddy and Little with each other, and then Preston literally sucked Dustin nipple immediately that night. I know they were on the same page, and haven’t moved on from each other, but it felt like none of them knows respect and limits with each other. Didn’t even ask if they were comfortable. Things has changed, has it not? People have grown? 😵‍💫🥴

Andddd it got boring afterwards since they were already head over heels by 30%

Overall, simple and boring.

I absolutely loved this entire series. This one was so cute and sweet. Dustin and Preston get a second chance when circumstances collide to put them both in the same place at just the right time. I was glad to see that Preston had the good sense and enough love yet for Dustin to tell his bosses at the really, really horrible self-centered company he worked for to "to take this job and shove it" instead of letting them walk all over him any longer. He was also smart enough to take his second chance to find true happiness with the guy that almost got away the first go round. There was no drama, no anger, or hate between them, nor was there much discussion about who they had seen or had a relationship with in the ten years that they had been apart. Just them getting back together and moving forward. If you like "Daddy/Little" books...I know and was frankly very surprised at how many folks there are out there that do...this series is absolutely perfect for you. The books do not need to be read in order as each feature different characters.

Sculptures and Snuggles is the sixth book in the Collared Ever After series. I had originally read it in the Dirty Daddies 2021 Anthology. The author expanded upon that version. This was sooo freakin good, full of feels, steamy and sexy!! It was the second chance story of Dustin and Preston. Dustin is an artist and Daddy. Preston is stressed out businessman and a little. They used to be together in university. Dustin didn't think he could be what Preston needed so he ended it! They meet again and realize they still have a connection. Seriously loved the reconnection and chemistry! Overall, a fantastic second chance story that was well written. Highly recommend!

Love, love, love Sculptures and Snuggles. Dustin was the perfect daddy. While Preston was meant to be his, the timing was wrong, and he was intuitive enough to recognize that. His encouragement and love was a sure sign he was ready and able to be the Daddy his cherished boy needed.

Second chances are everything when it comes to love with the one person that gives you some type of meaning so read each of these books reads as a standalone this is book six of the Collared Ever After series and each book has a guy who accepts them for who they are without judgement or question and fate made sure these two met years ago in love with each other but one was happy living his life as a gay man but his lover wasn’t ready or willing to live his life fully causing friction between them and enough pressure for Dustin to walk away. Dustin was happy living his life as a gay man, had everything planned teaching what he loved sculpturing at the local college but when his department is cut leaving wondering what to do next fate steps in with an idea for him to start his own thing which landed him in the art scene as a sculpture and everyone wanting his art. Preston lived a big portion of his life in the closet afraid of judgement/rejection from his family so the one man he fell in love with walked away life however kept moving fast forward to today he is doing well living the corporate life, moving up the ladder as planned but he didn’t count on the stress of being at the top and so when asked to go to a company event an unveiling of his company’s sculpture he never expected to see the one man who makes his heart beat a little faster, makes him breath erratic also the same daddy that walked away when he couldn’t help him see how unhappy he was hiding. The attraction is still just as strong as it was ten years ago and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored especially with Dustin seeing how much his boy needed a break to destress just a little and working on the love they had just made that magnetic pull between them grow making it nearly impossible for this daddy and his boy to walk away from each other again but will it be enough, has Preston learned to be okay with his sexuality, and have they found their forever partners?.

Dustin had taught art at the local college when his position was cut and he had been forced to take his sculpting seriously. It had been a great thing for him as it meant he had made it on the art scene and now he had fame, money, gallery shows and sculpture in his home city. However, he is lonely and moving away to pursue his art meant that he had to leave his little behind. Preston is working so hard and is trying to climb the corporate ladder but is miserable as years ago he let the only person he has ever loved leave - his Daddy. When he is given an invite to the unveiling of the company's new sculpture he discovers it was one created by Dustin. Could this be a new chance with his one true love?

I enjoyed this story with the second chance for the two men to finally have the chance of a HEA that they deserved and worked hard for. Poor Preston desperately needed his Daddy and Dustin needed the one little he could never forget and get out of his head. I loved the way that both their lives ended up being sorted with the help of each other and their determination to no longer be parted. Easy to read, feel and understand this was a delightful story. Contains a MM story with a BSDM-like DDLB relationship including diapers (ABDL) and a human paci.

This is book 6 in the series. I was able to enjoy it without having read all the previous books. This is the story of Dustin and Preston. Both were in a romantic Daddy/Boy relationship at university until Dustin ended it. While both went on with their lives, neither got over the love that they had for each other. Dustin is now a well respected artist. He is in town for the big reveal of his latest piece. This was commissioned by the company that Preston works for. While Preston previously liked his job, now that it has been bought by another company the demands are becoming overwhelming. Both are at a point in their lives where big changes are coming. This is their story. I enjoyed this book. It is well written and easy to read. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I must say I struggled a little bit with this one in the Collared series. I eventually finished it and like it but the story didn't grab me as much as the others did. I did enjoy the MCs themselves. Dustin and Preston reconnecting after so many years and falling back into their original dynamic Daddy/little was interesting and special. Preston's unique pacis was a first for me and I was surprised along with delighted. I think Preston's role as a little was more believable than Dustin's role as his Daddy. I did warm up to Dustin as Preston's daddy toward's the end. He took care of Preston and gave him the needed care/snuggles...absolutely loved those snuggles. Their second chance was nice and I'm still a fan of the series.

One door slamming shut, is another swinging open. Dustin, was let go from his teaching job. Dustin, focused on his sculpting passion and made a success of it. Preston, was living his dream climbing the corporate ladder. When he got to the top, he realized how lonely it was. When Preston attended the reveal of his company's new sculpture, he met Dustin again. They had a history. Preston, was deeply in the closet. It took him a while to come out after he and Dustin broke up. There was a miscommunication that caused a deep rift. Now, they have a second chance. Sweet journey. Good discoveries. Found families are the best when your blood family won't love unconditionally. Can Dustin and Preston make peace? Does Dustin miss teaching? Does Preston find tthe career he loves? Nicely done. This is book sixth book the series, and just a good as the rest of them. This bbok is a Daddy/Boy kink book. Dustin is a famos sculpter and a Daddy. Preston is a little but has not played with a daddy for a long time. Preston works for the company that comissioned Dustin to build a sculpture for their new office building in the city. It has been a long time since Dustin has been in the city. Dustin and Preston see each other in the lobby of the hotel where they all are staying. Preston was not out when they dated along time ago so they split ways. Preston is now out and has had no time find a new daddy because he works much. Will Preston and Dustin get back together?? Will Dustin be the daddy he longs to be for a little again???.

This is Dustin and Preston's second chance love story. Dustin (daddy) and Preston (cherished boy) were together in college but Preston hadn't come out to his family. Feeling he was holding Preston back Dustin broke off the relationship so Preston could figure out how to love himself. Years later they run into each other when Dustin is commissioned to make a sculpture by Preston's company and he has to go to the unveiling. You can feel the love and deep connection the couple still have for one another. Of course they spend the evening on a date talking and reconnecting, they decide to spend Preston's 2 weeks vacation together in a cabin to figure out what they want their relationship to be. They decide to give it another go and of course there is a sweet hea to wrap everything up.

This book is amazing and I loved it! Another great Collared story, this one is about Dustin and Preston. They were together in college but as Preston hadn’t told his family he was gay, they were kind of a secret. Dustin let Preston go breaking both their hearts but knowing he needed to do it for Preston’s sake. Years later, Dustin will find a letter from Preston telling him he told his family the truth about himself. Dustin is proud of him and gets to tell him that when they run into each other again shortly thereafter. The reunion is sweet and the two get to be daddy and boy again and it’s as if they never parted. They start their journey as a vacation but it will turn into so much more when both find new jobs and they start their life together with a new home and the promise of forever.

I loved this book! I actually read this book as part of the 2021 Dirty Daddies: Pride but I fell even more in love with Dustin and Preston with this expanded book! Dustin and Preston were amazingly cute together. These two were college sweethearts but they had to go their separate ways. Now, years later, they have a second chance to see if their love still remains. I loved that these two never stop loving each other and they never truly moved on from each other; no one ever compared. I thought that this was a wonderful book and a perfect addition to this series. I would highly recommend this book, this series, and Ms. Della as an awesome author.

They did it again another sweet volume in the Collared Ever After series, book 6.
An extention of a shorter story first published by the author in the Dirty Daddies: Pride book. I loved this accidental meet up again as a second chance romance, and Della had a creative 'paci collection' for Preston.
Dustin is the Daddy who just found a letter from years ago written by Preston.
Preston is so cute and was almost desperate to sink into this little persona again after a many years without a daddy.
After reconnecting their relationship develops quickly and they fell back into a much healthier relationship than the one prior. They get their hea.

Sculptures and Snuggles is the latest entry into Della Cain’s Collared World. In it we meet Dustin and Preston, two former partners who suddenly find themselves back in each other's orbit. This is a story that represents the concept that even though you may love someone with all your heart, it may not be the right time in your lives to be together. Dustin and Preston are given a second chance to do things right now that they are both more confident in who they are and what they want out of life and you won’t find a more emotionally satisfying couple in a book then these two. I really enjoyed watching them fall in love all over again and discover who they were meant to be, both individually and together. Great read and addition to the series.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Fate has a tricky way of helping out when needed, even Preston and Dustin didn't see it at first. That is if Preston's  job would just allow him is vacation.  Could this be their second chance or was it just two weeks of nostalgia? Oh dang I am in love with the Preston and his paci.
What was supposed to be a vacation away from the stress of work, Preston isn'ta happy camper when he flight is cancelled due to weather. Now having to attend an event for the bigwigs of corporate, he just may luck on finding his missing daddy. A.D. Tayler (Dustin) was the sculptor for the unveiling at the event. New possibilities of old dreams was on the horizon.
All the signs point that being without a daddy or others in the cummituny had been a big part missing half Preston life. Maybe having daddy  Dustin back in his life was remedy to fix it.

Sometimes you really can go back

I read (and vaguely remember) the original story from when it was published in the Dirty Daddies 2021 Pride anthology and have to say I prefer this expanded version. There is such caring between Dustin and Preston despite their years and lives apart. The feeling of nostalgia is filled with sweetness rather than angst which is nice. It’s not as tied to Collared as some of the others, but most everything else expected to be be there is, along with a fair amount of heat and sexy times. As always, a good way to while away a couple of hours and catch glimpses of familiar characters.

One of the best Second Chance I've ever read.
I loved that between Dustin and Preston there wasn't any hard feeling. Even though they were separated for a decade, when they met unexpectedly it is like they were never apart.
Dustin, our beloved artist, is a wonderful Daddy, carefully caring for his cherished boy, never assuming. Preston, the little Preston, I was proud of him for standing up for himself, for asking what he wanted always so tenderly.
Definitely recommended!

I really enjoyed reading this story about Dustin and Preston, who had been roommates and lovers when they were in college. Dustin was out as being gay, but Preston was scared of being rejected by his family if he told them, then Dustin broke off their relationship to pursue his career in art so that Preston could work out what he wanted in his life. Ten years later they meet up again and decide to try again and end with a happily ever after.

Really sweet story about second chances.
Preston was Dustin's boy , but had to let him go to grow, and to accept himself.
Years later they meet again at one of Dustin's unveiling, which was at one of Preston company sites.
The love they shared for each other never left , and decided to try being daddy and boy for two weeks , which was Preston's holiday, to see if their relationship could be continued.
Absolutely loved it couldn't put it down

Sculptures and Snuggles

This was a sweet second chance romance. Dustin and Preston met in college, but Preston was still in the closet and too afraid to really be in the relationship fully. Years later, they randomly meet and discover that they are still in love. There is no drama or angst, just a sweet reconnection and falling fully in love as their current selves. It was a great getting to go on the journey to their HEA with them!

Good

I'm not one for 2nd chance books but this one I really enjoyed. I think it was because the 2 MC's fell right back into it without drama. There was no anger or hate between them, nor was there much talk about past partners. I'd have loved more descriptions of both MC's as I couldn't really picture them in my head. Especially when one picks up the other I'm always wondering what the size difference is.

This was a sweet Daddy/little story that was a second chance for Dustin and Preston after they broke up a decade ago when Preston wasn’t ready to be out. Both men find they still have feelings for each other and pick up almost seamlessly where they were, feelings and all. I enjoyed this fluffy story with very little angst and loved meeting again some of the men from Collard.

I loved Sculptures and Snuggles by Della Cain. It's the sixth book in the Collared Ever After series. I loved Dustin and Preston's story. Fun second chance romance story that had mini heat and sizzle, heart warming moments and lots of what works for them times!

Love is love but if you don’t love yourself you can’t be all in for someone else.

This story showed how you can do what’s best for someone else and still come out the winner in the end!
