I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

Laken is a talent scout and she is also a music blogger. That’s something she has done since she was teenager, and it has taken off for her….
Laken has a beautiful daughter name Maria, she would do just about anything for that Lil girl, even tolerate a man that belittles her and lies to her face

Torque had caught a glimpse of Laken, one night after he performed a set at the club bar. Thinking nothing of it, He once again meets her after he finds her lost daughter at the Fair…….. after that night he doesn’t not know who stole his heart first Maria or Laken

I absolutely love this author’s gritty and raw style of writing! Laken is trapped in an abusive marriage but at least one small consolation is her daughter Maria that came out of her union. When she meets Torque neither of them understand the connection they have but it just ignites something within them that’s an explainable and it needs exploring further. Neither of them were looking for each other but thankfully they found each other when they did. What will Laken‘s husband do when he finds out about her relationship with Torque? What will Torque do to protect Laken and Maria?

Trejo’s Books Are Golden!!

I have been following the Royal Devils MC Central Coast series and Torque was another five-star read for me. Torque is helping a lost little girl while on duty at a club run fair and that’s how he meets Laken when he calls her instead of letting her go with her father. Torque senses that that is nothing good about Laken’s husband and when he finds out he’s a cop things are taken up a notch.

Torque (Dork) as was named by Laken’s daughter, Maria, looked out for both of these girls especially after learning of the husband’s very violent nature. He also found out that he was also a dirty cop and now needs to protect the girls even more so.

I loved Torque and Laken’s story and all the drama that came from it. It was suspenseful, steamy and oh, so good. I highly recommend not only this book but the rest of the books in this series as well.

I really enjoyed this book. Laken was in a tough spot. Her marriage was difficult and she had a daughter to protect. She didn't want to be drawn to Torque. Teh two seemed to have a connection from the beginning. He didn't understand, but couldn't let it go. I loved that he saw her, her heart the person she was and not the body and ugly thing her husband said about her. Some might think because she cheated, she was a bad person, but think if you look at her character closely, you will see a woman dragged down by an abusive partner, not seeking love, but found it along the way. Torque was amazing with maria, showing the little girl from the start how a father should be there for his kids. Even if she's not his by blood. I loved the babysitting scene, priceless.

Torgue and Lakin have a connection from the beginning. I loved that he didn't see her as big girl and saw her for her heart and for the type of person she is. Lakin is a woman dragged down by an abusive partner, not seeking love, but found it along the way. Torque was amazing with Maria, showing the little girl from the start how a father should be there for his kids. I loved when he babysat her. I can't who read Tatts.

Soooo… I wanted to love this one. I really did.
Laken comes off as a doormat to me. I didn’t like her. Her one redeeming characteristic is how much she loves her daughter. She’s in an abusive relationship, yes, but then she cheats on her husband while leaving her daughter with someone she doesn’t know within the MC. Just not the story for me.

This was quite fast paced and "Dork" was a fantastic foil for little Maria.

The story itself was pretty straightforward, with a slight twist that added to the angst.

I really felt for Torque, especially his worries about the woman he wanted to be with. I'm pleased it ended the way it did.

I’m addictive to this series and well all of Ms. Trejos books. This series is showing the slightly more human side of the MC. It is showing how the men are finding their women and keeping them. It also shows the steel backbone of the women to put up with the alpha men.
Torque is in the mind frame that he doesn’t want a woman or family except for the one he has, then he meets Laken, and can’t get her out of his mind. It confuses him even more when he finds out she has a little girl,who has him wrapped tight around her finger, and a abusive husband.
Laken has tried to make her marriage work for her daughters sake,even through her husband abusing her. When she’s out working she meets Torque, but he doesn’t seem interested,
They meet again when he finds her daughter at the fair the MC runs, and makes plans for the little girl and mama to come back and enjoy the night again.
Torque goes into protective mode when he finds out that Laken’s husband beat her and threatened her daughter. She moves out and they work on being together, and come to find out they love each other.
The MC helps Torque take care of her husband so she is free.

Sometimes in life, you find your way, and other times your way finds you.
Torque is the epitome of a badass. He loves his brothers, his club, and his music. It’s the only life he’s ever known, and made him the man he is.
Laken is a talent scout and finds herself in clubs across the city signing the next big performers to take the stage. She’s an incredible mom to her little girl, but she hides the bruises and abuse well. Her husband is a dirty cop that loves to take his anger out on his wife that’s just as gentle outside as she is inside. Threatening her with her child, trapping Laken in her own personal hell.
When Torque and Laken cross paths one night the connection is instantaneous, and that is when she realizes what she could have. It’s a roller coaster I didn’t want to get off of. It’s hot, fast paced, and I literally couldn’t put it down.
I’m true Erin Trejo fashion we get to revisit some of our favorite MC members from her other books and it makes her stories take on a life of their own. Grab Torque and just sit down because you won’t be able to stop once you start.

Loved Torque’s story. Erin gave us readers an amazing storyline from start to finish (not that I ever expect less from her). Torque is a biker so needless to say he’s not a model citizen. But one thing he doesn’t accept is children or women being abused. Which is exactly what he sees when he meets Laken and her daughter, Maria, at the club’s fair. Married or not his protective instincts come to the top. He wants to help her get out but she’s afraid of losing her daughter. Her husband is a cop (and a dirty one to boot) and has threatened to take Maria away if she doesn't fall in line.

This is an emotional yet very exciting read. Little Maria will steal your heart just like she did mine. I highly recommend grabbing it up asap.

Torque is an excellent fast paced story and I absolutely love the relationship he has with Maria. It makes no difference to either of them that they aren't blood relayed they love each unconditionally in spite of the circumstances. Then there's Torques relationship with Laken. She's living in utter he*^ with an abusive a^* and Torque is her salvation. Neither was looking for or intentionally set out to find each other but thank goodness they did. He was able to show both Laken and Maria how a real man treats his family.

Loved seeing the soft side of Torque! Laken and her daughter, Maria, are in a tough spot. Married to an abusive jerk Laken feels trapped, especially being who her husband is…it makes trying to leave him almost impossible. After experiencing how a man should really treat a woman she’s ready to try and make that jump. But there’s more to her husband than she realizes, and Torque had figured it out. He’ll do anything to protect Laken and Maria and when Laken shows up at the clubhouse in a precarious state he decides that now is the time to make that happen.

Torque happens upon this little girl and through her he meets her mom Laken. Laken is abused by her husband but finds a protector in Torque. Can they get through all the bad to find good? I adore this author. They know how to write perfect characters. I loved the fact that Laken is your typical size 0 female lead. It was nice to read about someone who had self image issues like a lot of us. I loved every word of this amazing story. Can’t wait for more.

Laken was trapped in an unhappy marriage to say the least but she had her daughter Maria to think about. when she meets Torque neither expect or understand their connection but it ignites something within them, but nothing is plain sailing for the pair. well written fast paced emotionally charged and more.

OMG Torque & Laken 🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍 I totally love these two & little Maria is a hoot 🤣 I love the chemistry between them bc it's more than just sexual. Her BFF Cal is absolutely hilarious. Yup, read this in one sitting. IT WAS THAT GOOD!! My heart hurt for both Laken and her daughter, Maria but I also saw red for them. Laken’s husband is a complete tool in my opinion. I am so freaking happy her path crossed Torques when it did. I will say this though, I think Maria stole the show throw. That little girl is beyond adorable. 🖤🔥💀🔥🖤

This was intense and a little on the gray area because I could see people not liking Laken for what she does but she is stuck in a relationship that is abusive. I loved her for her dedication to her daughter and the chemistry with Torque was just fire!

I really enjoyed reading this book. A bit of a different storyline but works well for this book. I liked how the relationship developed between Torque and Laken as well. The story flows nicely, has a few twists and a great ending. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Our couple meet at .the.fair after Larken's

daughter gets separated from her father and Torque comes to the rescue. He invites Larken's and her daughter to the fair the next day to ride rides for free. Maria didn't enjoy the fair with her cop father who is emotionally abusive to them both and sometimes physically to Larken. Once again it is Torque to the rescue. This couple is steamy as they begin to build a relationship. I couldn't put this book down. I enjoyed this story and I think you will too.

Torque: Royal Devils MC Central Coast by Erin Trejo is a fast paced romance story full of intrigue, suspense, violence, emotional steamy moments and one precocious little girl as you follow Torque and Laken's journey of love as well as plenty of MC drama thrown in.

Torque, sexy alpha member of the Royal Devils MC catches the eye of beautiful Laken when he steps in and takes care of her little girl who ends up separated from her father at the fair the club runs. A chance meeting between Torque and a lost Maria is priceless especially when she calls him Dork with his need to protect her, he tells her she will stay with him as he calls her mother to tell her he found her daughter. When Laken comes to the fair to get her daughter there is a confrontation between her husband Jack and his co-workers who are harassing Torque. When Maria blurts out that Torque found her, Torque finds he is is instantly drawn to her and his first impression is that she needs someone to protect her when he hears the derogatory remarks Jack makes towards Laken, the only problem she is married to an abusive cop who he also feels is corrupt . Can he stop himself from the intense need to see her again and what about the feelings Laken is experiencing with her first encounter with Torque? When he invites Laken to bring Maria back to the fair all three form a connection which has Torque wanting Laken even more when he brings them to the club so Maria can go swimming. What transpires between these two is hard, fast and sensual as they both give into this fiery passion that has developed between them. Can Torque make Laken see that she needs to leave this man as he tells her that she is beautiful, smart and that her body shape does not define her. Now Laken is torn as she wants Torque but knows it is wrong for her to cheat on her husband but she can't help herself as she finds with one look, one touch by Torque she will continue to take this dangerous path as she can't stay away from him. Conflicted by her feelings as she must protect her daughter, she wants to end things but when she is given an ultimatum from Torque will she make a decision to follow her heart which may cost her her life? As the club is dealing with missing drugs, Torque finds out that Laken's husband is stealing drugs from the Royal Devils MC, lacing them and then reselling to others which places the club in danger. When on a drug run, the club is attacked and they are able to take down one of the men and learn that Jack is the head of the Code Blue MC. The club needs to stop this man before all eyes are on the club. So much drama as well as twists and turns that will have you on edge when Laken shows up at the clubhouse bruised and bloody from her husbands latest attack when she asked him for a divorce. Now Torque is out for blood, but is told he must be smart planning his next move. As Laken and Torque become closer the love between them deepens while she is hiding from her husband, Laken sees the bond growing between Torque and Maria as this little girl for the first time is being treated with love and kindness from Torque something her own father never showed her. Laken is on edge as things come to ahead when she is almost killed when Jack finds her, but with the plan Torque and his brothers put into place with the information given up by Laken, they arrive to save Laken and deal with Jack. Torque will make sure that Jack will never harm Laken or Maria as these two are his life, when he confesses his love for Laken he tells her to trust him as he wants to build a future with her as Laken and Maria have stolen his heart . You will fall in love with Torque and Laken's journey together as this heartwarming romance story was beautifully written by Erin Trejo. Again Erin brings her characters to life as these badass alpha bikers play hard and love hard as they are possessive of the women who come into their lives.

Larken works for a record company, has the sweetest daughter Maria, and an a husband that's abusive, like to drink, and is a cop. She is trying to get away but is afraid the she will lose her daughter. When she meets Torque things start to get out of control for her and her emotions are all over the place. Torque living life with his club not looking for anything takes one look at Larken and he starts to get feelings he don't know what to do with them. When the club finds out some stuff about her husband and whatnhe has been to doing to her will Torque and the club be able to figure it out and save her? Will she be able to leave him and she herself and her daughter? What an amazing read. This book will take you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, heat, laughter, tears, and so many other things that your head will spin and your heart will break a little. I was pulled right in and didn't want it to end. I am so looking forward to what the author comes out with next.

What happens when you get stuck in a relationship with a dirty cop? You turn to the person you least expect. Laken and her daughter need to get away! So when she crosses paths with Torque and the sparks immediately fly, she knows when she needs too reach out that he’ll be there to help.
Torque may be a biker, but he’s not like the men we’ve come to expect from Erin. Yes, she’s still an alpha male but he’s a bit more emotional than the rest. Erin found a way to make him more relatable and showed a more human side of him. If that makes sense. This book was so hard to put down but when I say that Torque and Laken have become one of my favorite couples I mean it. Also, Maria might be the real main attraction. She’s absolutely adorable and I could read more of her all day.
As always, Erin gets 5 stars from me!!

Abusive bully and bad cop, not a great mix but he also added a few others things to the mix, just the type of bad guy that needs handling. Thankfully Torque and the MC are soon on the case to protect his woman and her child. I loved Torque he seemed to have his head screwed on the right way and not as troubled as some other characters in this series. Description made him sound extremely sexy as well so that's always a bonus. Maria was adorable and I so loved the babysitting scene, definitely should have been photos taken of that and put up in the clubhouse. It's always great to get insight into the vulnerable or more sensitive sides of MC men, as tough and hard as they portray it makes them human. There is some violence and action but also some wonderful scenes of fun and relaxing around the pool, it was nice not to be all drugs, booze and killing. Loved it

Wow! I love to read books by Erin Trejo. Torque is the next book in the Royal Devils MC Central Coast series. This is Torque and Laken's story. Laken is trapped in an abusive, loveless marriage. Torque, sexy alpha member of the Royal Devils MC. Torque wasn't looking to find someone but fate has other plans. They are so perfect together. She is trying to get away but is afraid the she will lose her daughter. For some reason Torque is drawn to Laken and her daughter. There was an instant attraction between them. This story is emotional and full of suspense, drama, love, and steam. I fell in love with both Torque and Laken. You will fall just as hard as I did. Keep up the amazing work! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I loved this book! It had me from the first chapter! Laken and her daughter, Maria stole my heart.. Laken’s husband is a douch bag in my opinion. He thinks he is above the law. That no one can touch him. Is he right? Torque is 100% alpha, biker with a heart of gold however he never shies away from doing what is needed for his brothers and those they consider family. When these two met the feelings were instant and strong! They are pulled to each other. Can this work? What will happen when Torque finds out what Larkin is holding back? Who she is protecting? Can they have true ever lasting love? Will Torque be able to keep them safe? What wicked game is fate playing? Check this out to find your answers. For me this series and this book is a must have!!! I can not wait to read more!!!

This is book #12 in the Royal Devils MC Central Coast series. It’s my favorite, thus far. I loved how Torque took a protectors role with Laken and Maria. There was an instant attraction between the couple. She was in an abusive marriage to a dirty cop whose actions were affecting the club, as well. So Torque had more than one reason to dislike him. I loved that Maria called him Dork! That was so cute. This story is emotional and full of suspense, drama, love, and steam.
