Something Onyx has never been a stranger to, never strayed far from, despite his best efforts otherwise. This time though, the stakes are higher than ever before, when his past is threatening to touch - and destroy - everything he’s grown to care for.
The only choice is to face it head on - a task Tati is more than willing to share.
Unanswered questions and unexpected attacks are jeopardizing the Predator organization from all sides, and she’ll do whatever it takes to protect the people she loves - including peeling back secrets, lies, and betrayals, layer by layer.
Shared ink makes them family, but as the truth is unturned, Onyx and Tati will discover that their connection runs deeper than either of them knows.
The motivations may differ, but the fight is the same, against an enemy with bigger teeth and sharper claws.
When thrown to the wolves, they’ll need more than strength to survive.
I knew Onyx had some secrets he was holding close to his vest but, chiiiiiiiiiile I was not prepared for the tea that was spilled in this book! All kinds of bombs were droppin’ left and right! From who actually kidnapped Onyx, to his real reason for being in Vegas, to who his biological father was. Honey, the tea spillith over and I was shook! Renard Belrose thought he was putting the band back together (i.e., The Garden) but Onyx said, “Aht Aht!” and shut that shyt down real quick. Won’t be no reunion here. In the midst of everything that was going on, Tati and Onyx still found time to fall in love. I absolutely loved them as a couple. Tati rode hard for her boo. When Onyx questioned if he was mentally capable of being in a relationship, she constantly spoke words of affirmation and advocated for his mental health. Basically, not being together was not an option for Tati so, Onyx was going to have to get it together and start working on himself. Margeaux was an intriguing character. She was bold, hilarious, in your face, and a little bit crazy. I was very relieved she turned out to be a friend rather than a foe. To say I was over the moon happy for Ace is an understatement. I’ve been waiting for her to get knocked up for the longest. I’m so excited for her and Cree. Raised by Wolves was a terrific read. It was full of action-packed goodness that had me clutchin’ my pearls throughout the entire book. I’m hoping this isn’t the last we hear from The Predators. What's up with Keira and Gavin?!!! There was something going on with them and I need to know what it is. And, what the hell happened to Kev?!!! Is he still being held in Ace’s compound?!!! Is it a life sentence or are they eventually going to kill him?!!! There are still some loose ends that need to be tied up so, I’m not ready to say goodbye to The Predators just yet.
Tati and Onxy for the win!!! Before I get into this review let me just give an honorable mention to Alicia!! She is one of my favorite CCJ book characters and I’m glad we more of her, Cree and their crew! Now that’s that’s out of the way…. YALL!! Was the tea spilled or was it spilled! I was not ready for the secrets that were exposed. I mean I heard DJ Khaled in my head *another one*! “The Garden” just keeps on mf growing… roses and thorns and predators oh my 🤣🤣 Tati kept me on my toes in this book she was a bad b*tch!! I loved loved LOVED her character and I LOVED how the story turned out!
This was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. So many questions were answered and so many secrets were revealed. Tati may have gotten on my nerves a time or two but i still love her ass. Onyx was that steadfast dude. Looking forward to more stories from the Predators MC Universe.
I am in awe! From the cliffhanger reveal in the beginning...lol to the words Tati spoke to Onyx about healing. When I say, CCJ left everything on these pages... OMG!! I highlighted so much. There is nothing like a badazz that heals, owns her stuff, and shines afterwards. So much balance in the drama that connected and made the romance solid. Tati is my hero... when my girl didn't believe that mushy stuff would hit her, then experienced it like a full body slam, but she didn't want it more than she wanted to experience peace within it! The Roses and Thorns have always been a favorite of mine and I hope we get to explore more of their relationships beyond dat nasty toxic Garden. If there was ever a book that said, "Protect a woman" this is it! Not just Tati, but their mothers & the women Predators. I can say so much more, but Ima save it for the discussion, cuz it was indeed all dat! 💯
Interesting story and great writing, which CCJ always delivers. I’m not a big romantic suspense reader and this one was very heavy on the suspense/drama outside of the relationship. Like the first book, I just wanted more romance and relationship development.
I loved everything about this series. OMGosh! It had all the stuff I love in a book; crime, drama, trauma, nasty sex, suspense, and the chemistry between Tati and Onyx. I haven't liked any of the motorcycle club books I have read in the past but I loved this series. And the connection with The Garden just added an additional layer of depth that I really enjoyed. I just love CCJ.
Predators 2 Raised by Wolves was a whole snack with double servings of action. It was apparent from the first story that Onyx was more than he presented to his new team. Remember when Onyx was introduced? He had just whipped five men. And after the first story, we learned about the deep connection with the Rose and Thorns. Then there was Tati and Blue's story inside this story, as well as Onyx and Tati's magnetic relationship. To say there were no dull moments in this tale would be an understatement. It was action-packed, emotional and the sexy undertones were explosive. Make no mistake; this was an excellent well-told story. The hotness factor between the couples...an extra bonus.
This book spilled so much tea. Everybody’s secrets were exposed. I was clutching my pearls throughout the whole book. It was so much fun to connect the dots. I’m always happy to catch up with Alicia, so I loved seeing her. Onyx got on my nerves! I couldn’t deal with a man like him. I see so much of myself in Tati. I just love her. She will not be punked and I am here for it! I loved how this book picked up right where the last book left off. All of my questions were answered and then some! This was such a wild ride. I loved every minute of it.
I could’ve given this three stars, but it just didn’t give what I needed it to give. It was a lot of twists and turns, but it just wasn’t where it needed to be. I wanted more of the love story and not this investigation, reconnaissance, and revenge business.
Fast paced. Emotional. Satisfying. A good sequel to the 1st one. But my initial thoughts after finishing the book:
• Matie was dumb as heck 🙄 • What’s going to happen to Kevin? Is he just going to stay in the compound for like forever ?? • What’s going on between Gavin & Keira (idk why but I thought she would double cross them lol with al her sneaking around so I wonder what her story is, if anything.
Also, I wouldn’t mind a story on Blue - it could be a novella 😅
This was an incredible follow up to No Longer Afraid. It was so action packed I al.ost couldn't keep up. There was definitely a lot going on and I loved how so many different characters and storylines intertwined. I am so glad Onyx came to his senses due to Margo's cajoling and I'm looking forward to seeing these characters show up so.etime down the line in another CCJ masterpiece. Definitely worth a re-listen. Wesleigh and Winston were magnificent!
I put this one off for FOREVER, but I’m glad to have finished their story. It’s more plot heavy than would be my preference, but that’s just a me issue. Darker tone.
Whew! What an exceptional series finale! This book had the right amount of drama/suspense coupled with a fiery chemistry between the leads that I both adored and cheered! Onyx was broken personified but worthy to love while Tati knew about love and found herself in situations that could have destroyed her...break her. The pairing was essential in their pursuit to heal. This author held nothing back in bringing this series to a close. Of course I want more but I am thoroughly satisfied with the end. I truly feel this author is underrated and deserves the recognition for her works! Looking forward to reading more from this author!
Ooook so in my previous review for book one I said I needed answers and I’m still shook as to what I found! Christina C. Jones understood the assignment with this series because she gave it her all and found some more to add to it 😄 With this being book 2 I loved the way we kept the story going while still being reminded of details in part one. I didn’t know I could love an assassin but… yeah Onyx and his earring confirmed it! That tortured man stole my heart right along with Tati’s wheeew! I loved the progression with this couple they experienced so much that a lesser couple would’ve broken but these two weathered the storm and it made me smile once their HEA was within reach. This series got better with every page! I have never gasped so hard and so much as I did while reading this book! I said it before, and I stand on it CCJ is definitely a Queen in these literary streets!!!
WOW!!!! When we left my dude Nyx was kidnapped. Y'all will never guess who did that. Had me clutching my imaginary pearls. The secrets....SMH!!!! Anyway y'all know Alicia my girl glad to see she still on Bad B**** status. And her news mad me cry. And I must say Christina C. Jones represented for the women in this book...These women were bad and not to be played with. Now look... Marqeaux maybe a "Maniac" but I like her. 😉
The Garden vs The Predators!!! This series was not at all what I was expecting when she said MC book however I enjoyed it and it shows the level of CCJs talent. This was a heavy read with a lot of details that can be missed if not paying attention. I loved the realness of the way it ended, no fluff but they get their HFN. And can I just say I am INTRIGUED by Ms. Margeaux!!!
The amount of twists and turns during the 1st half of the book was crazy but they were also not far fetched. A solid duology honestly. One of my favorite series by CCJ.
The thing I love about ccj is that you never really leave the world she has created. Seeing how the roses and thorns crossed with the motorcycle gang**chefs kiss**
CCJ’s ability to craft intricate stories never ceases to amaze me. This series had action, intrigue, and romance with a little bit of Marvel’s Winter Soldier thrown in. This was a very good read.
This was so go loved the action, Onyx was giving Jason Bourne lol. Tati really got in my nerves in this book, making everything about her, and constantly have to prove she isn’t weak. If you’re looking for a quick read that’s going to take you for a ride I recommend this series.
I don’t want gush about how great this book was, however,it’s really ,really good and I loved every page of it. Onyx gets closer to his goal, some very unexpected people and some additional twists and uncovered secrets are exposed. Blue has to accept some truths that he didn’t want to deal with and in the mist of all that, Tati and Onyx are trying to figure out how to make their relationship manageable. WHEW 😅 I loved every page of it.
I would love to one day discover there is a book 3 to the Predators MC series ❤️.
Thank You Christina C Jones Continue to use you incredible gift❤️❤️❤️
This was a great follow up to the cliffhanger CCJones left us with in No Longer Afraid.
We get right into it with Raised by Wolves. Who took Onyx and to say I was surprised, I-- I think it was more of me not realizing that these folk were even part of the chain of events that is going on in Nevada. '
For me, this was definitely more of a Onyx POV. Seeing his growth on page was great and his real reason for even being in Vega....gahtdamn. Poor Blue would not have won that fight. Tati's support of Onyx was another good thing to see on page, true bad bitch right there.
I feel like the answers we needed were answered here. Still this is a vast world for the Predators and the Garden and this reader is excited to see where CCJones takes us if she continues with this world.
