What’s a girl to do when she sees two pink lines on a pregnancy test and the only thing she knows about the father is that his name starts with H?

A steamy holiday hookup six years ago gave Sully the greatest joy of her life, her son, Harley. She’s worked hard to make sure that Harley doesn’t feel the same sting of father abandonment she did. However, when she lands her dream job, her world comes crashing to a to a halt when H walks through the meeting room doors. He’s her new boss.

DL Gallie writes spicy romance with elements of comedy and suspense. She currently lives in Central Queensland, Australia, her husband and two teenagers. She and her husband have been together since she was sixteen, and although they drive each other crazy at times, she couldn’t imagine her life without him.

Shortly after her son was born, DL began reading again. With encouragement from her husband, she picked up the pen and started writing. Almost ten years later and the voices in her head won’t shut up.

DL enjoys listening to music, drinking white wine in the summer, red wine in the winter, and beer all year round. She’s also never been known to turn down a cocktail, especially a margarita.

Straight to the point. Krista and Hunter, who were 21 y.o., shared a great attraction as soon as they spotted each other at a hotel bar. They had one stand night, where he gave her plenty of orgasms, and NONE of them EVER thought or mentioned anything about protection! 🙄 Before, during or after!

Anyway, I read a few more chapters but the writing style was neither inspired nor skilled. It was dry, straight and flat. Dnf @ 28%.
The blurb was too much better written.

I enjoyed this story. While I thought I knew where the story was headed between Hunter and Sully, I did not see the twist coming! Gotta love a crazy psycho ex to spice things up! Not sure how I feel about his brother Bentley, I feel like he’s angry at the wrong person and doesn’t seem to resolve it but hey, people change!

Krista Sullivan was celebrating her 21st birthday with her best friend Anita at the beach in Hawaii. After lazing on the beach and getting spa treatments they dress up and go bar hopping. They are at their third bar and while Anita is on the dancefloor Krista is getting a drink at the bar when three men walk in the door. When she gets back to her table and looks around she is bummed that she lost sight of the Adonis.

She is gazing out of the window at the moonlit beach looking forward to a walk on the beach on the way back to the hotel when a waitress brings her another drink. When she looks up in question, the waitress points. It's him...the Adonis.

She tells him her name is Sully and he tells her to call him H. After a mind-boggling night of orgasms they set a date to meet for brunch. But when H gets there Sully never shows.

Six years later Krista is excited about her new job as Marketing Director for the new hotel in Hawaii and is on her way to the conference room to meet her new boss. She got the promotion after the last woman was fired and was sitting at the conference table speaking with the owner when the door slams open and she looks up in shock. Her new boss Hunter Crawford is H. The man who she never thought she would see again.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. I so want to be part of this family.

This book is action packed from page one and I couldn't put it down. This book has it all! Psycho-ex, adorable Harley, suspense, danger and smoking hot chemistry. I laughed so hard at Krista and Hunters pranks on each other. And when his father joins in...it is just priceless.

This is the first book I've read by DL Gallie and she has just been added to my must-read authors list!

This is my first read by DL and has a storyline I found easy to get wrapped up in. From the very beginning the heat between H and Sully set the tone. The happenstance of their initial meet to their second chance six years later has fate written all over it. Although, book is lighthearted and sexy, DL throws in some ex drama with sibling drama on top.

Krista is celebrating her 21st birthday when a handsome stranger buys her a drink…. They spend an unforgettable night together with plans to meet later the next day. But, life stepped in and that date never happened.

Six years later Krista is pursuing her dream job in the same location. When she comes face to face with her new boss she is floored. Not only is it her smoking hot hookup from six years ago… it’s the father of her son, Harley.

As they rekindle their relationship, Krista knows she needs to tell Hunter. But, as they get to know one another and he spends time with them, it never seems the right time. Especially, when Hunter’s ex-fiancé is on a tear to get him back.

But, secrets have a way of coming out.

When Sully finds herself in the perfect Hawaiian vacation with the most amazing specimen of a man she never though her night of passion will create her most adorable creation. Years later she finds herself facing Hunter once more but now under different circumstances. Now she works under Hunter's family Hotel business and while the sparks are still there she is afraid the secret she has kept from Hunter will destroy a chance of true happiness between them.

Hunter hasn't forgotten the Hawaiian girl that stole his heart and when he sees Sully again he is determined to win her. His second chance is something he is willing to fight for. But will Krista's secret destroy everything? Their hot chemistry still there but will this be enough? And besides there is a crazy ex trying to ruin everything that might cost them a happily ever after.

I really enjoyed Krista and Hunter’s story. Celebrating your birthday with your bestie in Hawaii and then finding someone for yourself to spend time with and Hunter is very charming, funny, sexy and ready for anything. The chemistry between them is off the charts and they both feel it and after one night with not exactly their correct names, maybe this could be more. Plans are made and Sully doesn’t show and “H” can’t believe it, he thought there was something there. Little did Sully know that she would be bringing home a little of the island with her and I don’t mean sand. Five years later she comes face to face with “H” known as Hunter at her new place of business and he’s now her boss. Sully is keeping a big secret and now that she’s finally found Hunter, can she be honest with him and tell him about Harley? We all know that every relationship has its rocky moments. Hunter’s ex is still hanging around and so is his brother Bentley, and these two just keep wreaking havoc. This was another amazing read by this author. Their story is fun, entertaining, with chemistry still between them after all those years and a second chance at happiness.

Secrets & Sunrises is the quintessential DL Gallie story….. not cookie cutter or formulaic but unique in every way. The story had me hooked from the beginning, making it difficult to put down. Damn family expect dinner on the table at a reasonable hour.
Krista or Sully as she’s known, is a wonderful character. She’s worked extremely hard to complete college and make a good life for herself until she meets ‘H’ or Hunter and in that moment her life changes.
Hunter seems to have it all. Good family, great job, awesome friends and a sweet life until his world implodes when he catches his fiancé cheating on him.
Hunter and Sully's lives are like the proverbial rollercoaster, sometimes up and sometimes down. They also have their fair share of sadness and craziness but they see it through together.
You need to put this book on your must read list immediately because you’ll regret missing this wonderful story, beautifully crafted by the talented DL Gallie.

A sexy, sweet holiday romance from DL Gallie and also the first book by her that I have read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had a humorous side to it as well.
"H" Hunter meets Krista "sully" at a bar the connection and attraction is immediate and they spend a hot steamy night on the beach together.
With plans to meet again the next day they go their separate ways.
But things didn't turn out the way they planned.
6 years later they meet again and the chemistry is still there but so is a giant secret as well...

This book was well done. I was captivated by the story. Hunter and Sully are a hot couple and the intense connection they shared was felt through the pages. The banter and and "Dancing dicks" or any "Dicks" was extremely funny and it was just added to my liking the book.

A definite must read.

This is the first book I've read by DL Gallie. I loved the description of the storyline and that's why I chose to read this book. It started strong and I was enjoying the steamy beginning and drama. I may have rolled my eyes a few times, but I don't always see the humor others do. But it just kept getting more...corny. Almost like it was different writing than the beginning. A man that is going to take over a hotel and Father's overall business was completely clueless about the smallest things. Ugh. The drama between brothers was high schoolish as well. The big twist (that I did not see coming which earned one star back) felt forced, as was the resolution. Just a big let down. With the beginning starting so strong and the twist I didn't see coming, I'm willing to give this author another chance.

This was a spicy little romance novel that had a wonderful story and some of the most amazing characters you would hope to read about. H and Sully had an instant attraction and connection when they first met and had one glorious night and then six years later they are brought together when they actually work together and old feelings and emotions rise to the surface but H doesn’t know that Sully is harbouring one huge secret. I loved this story and I loved Sully’s indecision about when the right time to talk to H about her secret. I enjoyed this book so much and I loved H (Hunter’s family) and their give it to me straight attitude Harley, Sully’s son, is such a wonderful little boy and you cannot help but fall in love with him. This book had everything you could possibly want and you will be hooked from the very first page.

Sully had no way to contact her baby daddy as she only knows his name starts with “H”. Sully has worked hard to make a good life for her and her son, and now 6-years later, she finds her new boss is Hunter, her son’s dad. The sparks fly between these two, and the chemistry is off the charts. How will Hunter react to Sully’s secret? This is a well written story which has 2nd chances, drama, secrets, humor, witty banter, suspense, family, friendships, action, a psycho ex, intrigue, emotions, challenges, and love, which leads to an all consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This story is about how fate can be a fickle woman and that for Hunter and Sully life is about to take them for a ride. When the two of them meet again after so many years things are about to get a little dicey. Sully is wanting her dream job, but Hunter being her boss keeps things a little complicated. She has a secret that could destroy everything they have both worked so hard for. Sometimes though we have to protect the ones we love from someone who can hurt us more than life itself. These two will have to navigate this storm that is brewing not only between them but on the outside as well.

Sully and Hunter had one explosive and slightly incognito night but then circumstances kept then apart.
Now it's six years later and Hunter is her new boss and Sully is conflicted. Despite this they are reminding the dish. But there is a big secrets a resentful brother and a psycho ex getting in the way of their building a solid future. Will there love be enough to get them through?

At times I was frustrated by Sully's procrastination. But this certainly kept the story moving! And Hunters brother needed a knocking into some common sense.

A good fun read that was full of many emotions. I really enjoyed this one.

This is the first book I read from the author and wow! I freaking loved it! The emotion that was put into the characters was amazing. I could totally relate to this story only for me I didn’t get the ending I got the complete opposite lol. But this story has the steamy the drama, the one night stand where you just go out and enjoy your self. The story of Sully and Hunter well the ups and downs they have to go through to get to where they want to at the end. Is tough. You just got to read the story yourself to understand. And your going to fall in love with the story!!!

Wow! This story had a bit of everything and absolutely caught me off guard and I loved it! The steam level between Hunter and Krista is absolutely off the charts from the beginning. I was pulled in to their world, fell in love with some characters and fell in hate with others! There's a great connection between them and add in the adorable Harley, you can't go wrong! This is a new to me author and I will be checking out other reads!

Neither of them swapped contact info with the other, so when Sully finds out she's pregnant, she has no way to contact H. Fast forward 6 years later, Sully starts a new job. She is so excited until she looks up and stares H in the eyes. Hunter is just as shocked as Sully. From a surprise baby, to psycho ex's, this book has it all. I'm excited to read more books by this author.

Really enjoyed reading this misunderstanding story. Couldn't seem to put down, what a page-turner. This book contained suspense, crazy ex, and a cute and lovable boy(Harley). Sully and Hunter met when Sully was on vacation and had a one night stand. She found out that she was pregnant but she only knew the mans name started with an H. Years later she found out he will be her boss. She wanted to tell Hunter that he had a son, but was to scared. Will she finally tell him and will he be happy or mad?

This is the first I have read a book by this author but it will not be my last. I love second chance romance and in this on we have, Sully and H who meet while she is on a much needed vacation. Thing with them spark off. When she comes back home she find out a big surprise. Time goes by and Sully learns that H is her new boss. (I love a good boss book too) But the question will things work out between them when they both are hiding secret from each other? You have a read and find out.

Sully and H meet and connect straight away, their one night stand was meant to continue the next day but life got in the way and their “next day” romance never happened
Years down the track they once again come face to face and this time H has no intentions of letting Sully get away again.
Sully has some truths she needs to tell H but the timing is always off.

I loved this book and I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I loved the connection and chemistry that H and Sully had. This book was full of spice, sexy times, steam and a whole lot of chemistry between these two. What was a a chance meeting in Hawaii one night changed Sully (Krista's) life forever. When they reconnect couple years later Krista has secret and will that secret change everything for both Hunter and herself. This book was amazing and it's the perfect summer read.

Secrets and Sunrises is one of those books that swoops in and can leave a great lasting experience. I loved the story of misunderstandings and love that almost got away. H and Sully had an epic one night stand and had a plan to meet up the following day but life got in the way. Years later they meet up again and in the most unexpected way now H is her boss and Sully knows that she is going to be fired because of the misunderstanding. Well they find their way back to each other? Will the secret she has been keeping from him all of these years implode his world?

Cute holiday romance with steam.

Sully and Hunter have a hookup but no names or exchange of information. A beautiful little boy is the result. Years later Sully comes face to face to with the baby's father, as he's her new boss.

H was as swoony as they get and Sully didnt stand a chance.

Oh wow this was one amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to read more. The characters are incredibly likeable and I just wanted to wish happy things for them. The story ,- although a common theme, is not predictable and it was a joy to read from start to finish. It’s well written and deserves five stars
