With everything wrapped up in the first three volumes, this is the book that technically didn't need to exist. Is it still well-written and set in a fascinating world? Absolutely, but "The Silly Adventures of Connie and Scarlett" just doesn't have the same heft to it that the original novels did, and it feels like Kujira Tokiwa may not have fully understood what made those books so good. I enjoyed this to a point, but I also kept questioning myself as to why I was still reading it.
If you liked the previous three books you will like this one. Obviously, I did, or I else wouldn’t have picked up volume 4 to begin with. It is a very quick read; I pretty much read it in one day, (though that was partially because I couldn’t sleep so I read instead).
