What does it feel like to have the whole world know they owe you their salvation? Is it pride? Basking in self-admiration? A realization of your own greatness against the backdrop of anonymity shared by everyone else? There are lots of possibilities, only none of them describes what actually happened. Instead of becoming the savior, Leg Ondo was made a mockery. The being governing the planet forbade his totems and chosen people to disclose information about the battle between the demons and dragons. And that left the world confused. What did the Brown Bear clan do to deserve the avalanche of goodies that came pouring down on it? Should they be knocked off the pedestal they so recently climbed atop?
But even that would be manageable if it weren’t for one thing: the multilevel competition designed to bring the three empires closer together. How did Leg Ondo possibly get himself involved this time?

Vasily Mahanenko is a fantasy author working in the new genre of LitRPG - the MMO-based fantasy and sci fi. His Way of the Shaman series took Russian literature by storm in 2012.
Vasily dipped into his college-days insider knowledge as a hardcore gamer in order to create a believable world of the virtual-reality MMO game. His bestselling series combines fiction and video games, telling the story of Shaman and his friends stuck in the ruthless reality of Barliona. He used his more than ten years' experience as an ERP implementation project manager to approach his writing in a well-organized manner, working to a strict schedule, a set of deadlines and even a budget. At the moment, the series boasts six novels with the seventh one in the works - this time the author expands on stories of Shaman's companions and those who helped and supported him in his trials and tribulations.
The first book of the series has already been translated into English, with more translations to follow, aiming to make the Way of the Shaman series available to the English-language reader in its entirety.
Vasily's other passion is space exploration which is why he now works on a follow-up series entitled Galaktiona. Set in a space-simulator based world, the first book of the series in already finished while Vasily works on its sequel.
I wanted to follow the story to the end but I'm so, so tired of the MC getting unfairly yelled at all the time. This is a trap that I think some series get stuck in (looking at you, "the good guys") when the MC is strong and the author wants to keep them grounded. But honestly, if I were the MC here I would tell everyone to shove their clan somewhere and go be an hermit. Nobody is likeable, nobody is grateful, and nobody makes me want to continue.
I received a review copy of this book. Nice continuation of the story, and loads of drama, along with plenty of experimenting, inventing, and of course, problem solving (or troubleshooting), depending on your point of view. I'm really liking this series, and most certainly looking forward to more in the series.
Still no idea how this series can pull off a happy ending. Seemingly balanced between two evils struggling for control with no acceptable result other than maintaining status quo. Looking forward to see how this all plays out.
As the title says this is an advance copy review and as such is a reflection of my enjoyment of the book and in no way reflects cost to value analysis.
This story of a reborn lizard high mage being born in the bear clan was fantastic. This book cliffhangers on him and his bride being tasked to shut down a demon invasion.
Leg keeps on doing his thing and saving the world in the process ,the one thing I find strange is his obsession with Liara who is a spoilt obnoxious bitch , I suppose it's easy to forget he's just a kid with no experience of women but he picked the short straw with her
Another great book in this series i can not wait for the next book in legs journey. A proper page turner i could not put it down and had to read it from cover to cover.
