Confession--I read the first three books in this series in very close succession (three books in two days), so I may have trouble separating out the individual details. Also, you may take that as evidence of how much I really, really love the Stryker team... Anyway, here goes my best shot!

I really liked the way the events of this book intertwined with the events of Falling for Zeke, only we got more focus on what had been a peripheral part of the story in that one. Reagan/June (that's not a spoiler; we find out in the first chapter) was a delightfully complex character that I really enjoyed getting to know. I loved her passion for her work (especially her desire to help the soldiers), understood her reasons for keeping her real identity separate from her public persona, and felt for her struggles. Sosimo was such a sweet guy, and I loved the glimpses we got of his relationship with his family and the glimpses of the struggles that had made him what he is.

As in the first book, the romance was a bit physical for my usual tastes--a lot of touching, kissing, tingling feelings, etc. And there was one situation that almost crossed the line for me--I'll give couples a lot of latitude in a running-for-your-life scenario, but the "you sleep on top of the covers while I sleep under them" is a no-go for me; I don't care what kind of justification you give it. It only happened once and wasn't narrated at all after the offer was made and accepted (if it had been, I might not have been able to finish the story), but the fact that it happened at all takes at least a half star off my rating and makes it really close to an automatic DNF. Which would have been sad because I really did enjoy the rest of the story.

I also have to say, I loved the fact that we got some answers/resolution to some of the stuff that happened in Mission Out of Control. And I hope we'll see more of Lena--I've been wondering what happened to her. <\3 Of course the best parts were the banter and camaraderie between the team, which I still just adore. :)

3 stars

Content--noticing, touching, kissing (somewhat descriptive); mentions of playing poker; some mild language (crap, dang, etc.); violence, including gunplay and explosions; slight mentions of blood and wounds

Love, love, love the way Blackard writes the team dynamics in this series. The teasing is outrageously fun and the way all the guys dote on little Eva (book one heroine's daughter) is sooo adorable.

And I should stop here to say that you really should read Falling For Zeke before diving into this one. There's not only carry-over from the first book but we're actually stepping back in time in this one so we're seeing certain scenes from a different perspective which means Capturing Sosimo has some major spoilers. I'm not a huge fan of that technique in a series -- even got confused a couple of times because I was reading with book one's conclusion in mind, only it hadn't actually happened yet so...

Great chemistry between Sosimo and June -- tingles galore and angsty internal dialogues that keep these two apart while being forced into close proximity as he guards her from an unknown threat. June's a nice twist on the absent-minded professor trope and her inventions are fantastical. I kept waiting for her to pull out an invisibility cloak during desperate times. :-)

A romance with lots of heart and soul-searching paired with a side of suspense kept me an avid listener right to very end.

Capturing Sosimo is another exciting book by Sara Blackard. When Sosimo has to guard Reagan because someone is trying to kill her and wants to steal her invention. Together they have to run to stay alive. They fall for each other like a bomb, but Reagan has a big secret. Is they're love strong enough to overcome that? A well-written clean romance that captivates you to the end.

I received an ARC to review: Sara shines the spotlight on quiet, unassuming Sosimo in book 2 of the Stryker Security series. His true self: the talented, strong, compassionate, witty romantic cannot help but unfurl when June gets under his skin! A wonderfully satisfying, clean read, with action, suspense, and loads of sweet n spicy tender moments! Absolutely unputdownable!

Triggers: conspiracy to manipulate things from "behind the scenes".

If you're looking for exciting romantic suspense, read Capturing Sosimo. Sosimo Rivas is working as a bodyguard for Reagan who has invented a life saving suit for the military. Now the problem is how to get it into the right hands and keep it out of the wrong ones. The characters are complex and likable. I was pulled into the story immediately and enjoyed the gripping ride to the very end.
The clean romance gets to an HEA, but the road there is not smooth. One of my favorite scenes was between Sosimo and Reagan's father during one of those difficulties.
I plan to read more in this series and more of Sara Blackard's other works as well.
I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this compelling romantic suspense.

I started this review early - like three chapters in... WOW!
Ok, here's my review.
It was great throughout! It had just enough description to let you see things in your mind but not so much that it gets boring - one of my pet
peeves .
It's very well written, and I highly recommend it. I highly recommend all her books. You won't be disappointed.

I listened to Capturing Sosimo ~ Stryker Security Force ~ Book 2 while on a two day driving trip. I bought it from Audiobook.

Sometimes in a series the second book is a let down but this isn't the case in "Stryker Security Force Series". Sosimo and June are opposites in many ways but the chemistry is hot between them as they try to get her new invention for military protective gear to the right people in the government. I loved their exciting adventure and how protective Sosimo becomes and how strong, smart and independent June is in an emergency. Great ending too after the traitor is identified.

I loved it!!

I liked how this book's timeline overlapes with a part the timeline of the first book in the series (Falling for Zeke), and how I found out what happened that brought Reagan/June to the Stryker Security Headquarters.
I was also very glad when I saw the name Lina Rebel, because she is one of the team's friends from the mission gone wrong that led to Zeke starting Stryker Security. I'm now curious about what is going to happen with Cooper and Lina in the rest of the series because I'm sure (or at least hopeful) that I haven't seen the end of them

I can't wait for the rest of the books.
I still think Rafe and Tina is going to share a story, some where along the way.

This story was a surprise. For a change, the heroine is the one with a fortune and she’s an inventor of really cool gadgets. She’s got it all together and things are good. Until the emails come. Until one of her cool gadgets in development garners interest from a mysterious and suspicious person or persons and it’s freaking her out. How do the guys at Stryker Security Force get involved? June, a/k/a Reagan MacArthur, has a dad who can pull some strings that June wants nothing to do with. The compromise? Hire security.

I ‘met’ Sosimo Rivas in the first book, Falling for Zeke, and he intrigued me. Now I get to see what makes him tick. The hero has some personal issues that stem from when he was growing up. It left a lasting impression on his sense of self-worth. You wouldn’t think so since he was and is part of such an elite team of alpha men, but no one is as they seem. The author delves into his background a little bit and I was impressed with his protective instinct. He also had a deep love and respect for his family and his heritage. I totally felt empathy for Sosimo and completely agreed he needs his own happy ever after. But what a ride to get there!

This is an effective romantic suspense that has some teeth. Speaking of which, the scene when June bites into her juicy hamburger made me snort and giggle. The author used her descriptive words and brought the scene to life to hilarious effect. It goes on for a few more lighthearted moments, then the sensual action kicks in for the next chapter. Hot Tamales – I’m not the only one who likes the candy. The plot gets hot in other ways when gunfire breaks out. I was on my seat, scrolling/flipping those pages as fast as I could. The suspense and intensity of the moment was clearly described and tight – written for the most impact. The external conflict was fascinating. The internal conflicts though – those are what grab the heartstrings. They’re the kind that can break the relationship that is slowly building between the two. Building is an apt word. The sensual tension is palpable and June and Sosimo are strongly affected.

Just when I thought there was going to be a breather, a bomb threat rolls in. Yikes! Then Sosimo and June have to go on the run, and somehow, they’re tracked. How?!? That is one of the questions that kept me glued to the novel’s pages. The story turns into a who-done-it because someone is leaking info but who and from where? The suspense was tight. Good thing they picked up a Marine to help out along the way. He was a nice character addition.

I could go on and on about the great dialogue between characters, the depth of their development, how the author gives a reader a little lighthearted breather, like biting into an apple, before sending them down another rollercoaster dip of excitement and thrills. There is so much to recommend this story that I know I have to stop before I stumble and share a spoiler. I mean, there’s a secondary character named Lena who ties in with the beginning of the security force so that link fascinated me, and June’s relationship with her dad kept me guessing if it was good or not. Then came the shocker and I was blown away.

Seriously, Capturing Sosimo is another gem and has to go on my keeper shelf like the first book. So far, the re-readability factor is high and I’m so glad I discovered this series. But like potato chips, I can’t stop at two. I hear there’s another story waiting for me in the wings. I can’t wait to read it!

Capturing Sosimo is the second book in Sara Blackard’s Stryker Security Force series. In this book, Ms. Blackard focuses on Sosimo’s quest to find his soul mate. Readers meet June Paxton, aka Reagan MacArthur, and Sosimo Rivas. He works for Stryker Security Force. She is a billionaire inventor and a philanthropist working on projects to help soldiers in the field be safe. Her recent invention a super suit is almost ready to be marketed when she starts getting threats. She keeps her identity a secret from Sosimo. Her father, an army general, recommends Stryker Security. Sosimo is selected to take the lead. When they meet, there is an instant attraction. He acts as her boyfriend. Several attempts are made on her life. There is a leak but with the information they have they can not find it. Who is the mole? Will Sosimo keep her safe? Will they succumb to their true feelings? Will they find happiness? You must read this book to find out.

Yet again, Ms. Blackard pens another charming instant-love story. Her lead characters, June (Reagan) and Sosimo, are well-developed, likeable and realistic. I appreciated how she interjects suspense through her antagonist, Colonel Adam Johnson. His warped sense of duty and loyalty contribute toward increasing her plot tension. I like how she brings in other members of the Stryker team as well as introduce new characters—like Lena and Cooper—as supporting characters. Doing so, adds continuity to these books. Ms. Blackard’s skill with crafting rich dialog, her use of a two-prong plot line—romance and suspense, dual POV, and vivid descriptions pull in readers into her story. Nicely done, Ms. Blackard.

Battling against the dark, equipping those who need help in the fight.

Perhaps the best statement to describe what Reagan MacArthur tries to do with her inventions. This brilliant young lady finds it easier to hide behind a computer and in her lab, than to communicate with other humans. With the fame and appreciation for her designs, come the opposite, the threats from those who would steal her hard work and take credit for it themselves.

After numerous threats, the Stryker Security is given the task of protection. Sosimo, a soft-spoken fellow who enjoys tinkering with engines, is chosen to lead on this assignment. Many sparks will fly between these two headstrong people before they begin to work as a team. Between car bombs, explosions and shootouts the whole idea of staying safe is stretched to the max. Will they manage to get Reagan and her invention unscathed to their destination?

Take an afternoon to enjoy this fabulous and exciting suspense - book #2 in the Stryker Security Force series. An ARC was received through the author. These impressions and comments were in no way solicited.

This is book two in The Stryker Security Force Series and it is Sosimo and Reagan's story. Reagan is a very gifted and successful women as she is a entrepreneur, philanthropist and inventor and she is quiet and hides herself away in her lab, as she has a high powered father she changed her name from June so that she didn't have to live in her father's shadow but now she was getting threats about her latest invention so she has had to have security. Sosimo was in the army and part of a special operations forces but after a mission went wrong he is now out of the army and works for Stryker Security who are his brother's from the army and his family and had each other's backs regardless of the situation. When Sosimo and Reagan meet there is instant chemistry but when danger strikes will they be able to survive as they both have there own struggles before they can take a chance on being together. This book is absolutely amazing and I couldn't put it down as I had to keep turning the to see what would happen next and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I absolutely love book 2 of this series. Capturing Sosimo is a great story. June changed her name years ago so that she was taken seriously with her inventions and not because of her father. Sosimo is upset because he feels she lied about who she is. I titled this a name is just a name because he got to know her for who she is. Even though he had misconceptions when they first met, he got to know her and fell in love. The fact that he didnt find out her real name or her fathers name until late doesn’t change what he knows about her. Also, he never asked her who her father was but we’ll never know if she would have told him the truth. She’s a genius and her and Sosimo are perfect for each other. Glad for their happily ever after. Can’t wait for the next story. Hopefully Lena will join the group and she will find love again after losing Ethan.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Great series! Sosimo is reflecting on his single status watching Sam, Eva and Zeke form a family unit. June Paxton, calls herself Reagan to avoid her Dad's name. Reagan, grew up under her Dad's over protective umbrella after the death of her brother. The General is overbearing while trying not to be too much. Reagan is receiving threatening emails about acquiring her latest invention. She was not worried, until their wording got a bit threatening. She engaged Stryker Security. Their first few outings got a little more adventurous than expected. Sosimo became her dedicated protector. The more time they spent together, the more friendly and open they became. They embarked on a roadtrip while Reagan perfected her invention. Does Sosimo protect Reagan? Does Reagan get into Sosi's heart? Does the General like Sosi? Does Reagan grow to appreciate her Dad's concern? Fantastic series. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nice cover art!

Sosimo works for Stryker. He comes from a large Venezulan family. His dad is a top surgeon and he's dyslexic so he feels that the military is the only place for him. He was army special forces for 10 years. Also a top mechanic.

June/Reagan is an inventor and philanthropist. June is the daughter of an army general. She is never taken seriously because of who she is so she changes her name to Reagan. When she starts receiving threats, her dad insists that she call Stryker. She does and Sosimo is assigned the lead on her case. When she is almost killed, he is in charge of driving her across country to a meeting to turn over her newest invention to the military. On the way, they fall in love because they both seem to know how things tick. Even though Reagan is super smart, Sosimo knows how to make things work.

As they travel, they have to try to figure out who is threatening Reagan and why. Very well written. Great characters. Love this series.

I had a harder time getting into this book than I did the first one, but I have quite enjoyed Sara Blackard's stories.

June invents things that will save the lives of soldiers. Her father is a general and doesn't have any idea of how good his daughter is - he treats her like one of his soldiers and she is just tired of it. She changes her name so no one will associate her with her father and let people see what she does apart from her relationship to him.

Sosimo meets June by her new name, a name she's been going by for a few years now, she is that person in her own heart and mind, but can Sosimo see the change for what it is or will he label her a liar? He needs to protect her from the people who want to steal her invention and has no idea who she really is until it becomes necessary for her to go and see her father and he is with her.

Lots of surprises in this story. It is a clean read.

This is another fun clean read in this series I must say it isn't my usual go to read but this entire series has drawn me in

June/Reagan is keeping secrets wanted to be taken seriously she denies her connection to her General father and does her cutting edge research and development work under another name Now someone wants her latest research and they don't care how they get it so her father insists that she employ security and he knows just the company to use Soon Sosimo is acting as her bodyguard and the attraction between them is instant but what will he say about the fact that she has kept her father a secret and what about the connection between her inventions and their last disastrous mission in the military. Can they have a future when everything is laid bare You will have to read to see

Oh, what an exciting story this was in the Stryker Security Force series where you now follow Sosimo on his way to love.

Reagan McArthur, inventor of military tech, is threatened to hand over her latest invention to an organization other than the military. Her life is threatened and then Zeke's security company is hired. Somiso takes on this task and pretends to be her boyfriend to disguise the hiring of security. The first meeting he attends quickly goes wrong when shots are fired. He and Reagan flee to Texas to secure her invention. They come closer together along the way. But Reagan has a secret, and it could end their budding love.

Exciting, intense, betrayal and a rising love can all be found in this story. Nice to also meet the members from previous stories, and future parts, in this book.

Capturing Sosimo is the second exciting installment of the Stryker Security Force series. Although it is part of a series, it works well as a stand-alone. This fast-paced, easy read features danger and intrigue tempered by humor and romance. The characters are believable and engaging. Intelligent inventor and philanthropist June Paxton (AKA Reagan MacArthur) is in danger. Sosimo Rivas, a member of the elite Stryker Security Force, has a natural inclination to protect people. When they meet, the chemistry is instant; but, will a secret jeopardize their future, or can they even survive when they have to go on the run? With the exception of some mild language, I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Reagan/June and Sosimo are forced into running for their lives to get her to her next meeting at the company manufacturing her brilliant inventions to be used in combat to protect soldiers from injury or death. The first indication there are insidious forces tracking her is the kidnapping of Tina hired as a Nanny to Eva, Sam and Zeke’s daughter Eva trying to force them to turn Reagan//June over to them.
Sosimo and June escape after Tina is rescued and Sosimo/June head out with the hope of secretly getting cross country to her meeting. During their undercover travels they fight mutual attraction while trying to remain undetected. With humour, their growing attraction and sinister forces trying to get to them, this is a “I can’t put this book down until the end” read. In fact the whole series is a great way to avoid the laundry featuring hunky drool worthy guys read!

I loved this book of the Stryker Security Force, this one is the best so far. Sosimo's job is to keep Regan, aka June, safe from an unknown enemy trying to steal her newest invention that will keep soldiers safe. They are on the run just minutes ahead of the attacks and are unable to figure out who is after them. In the meantime, there's an attraction between Sosimo and June that is growing with each passing day, but June is hiding her true identity and Sosimo takes truthfulness very seriously. The was shocked to find out the unknown enemy. Very well written and I hope & pray that the invention in the book will be a reality some day. I highly recommend this book.

Another winner! Loved Sosimo and June! Loved that they were opposites in so many ways and similar in so many others.

I loved that they both could overcome their past and be willing to face the future together. I loved that June was such a brilliant engineer with a heart of gold. I loved that Sosimo would do anything to protect her no matter what and the trust June had in him.

I loved seeing more of Sosimo's Venezuelan roots and his sweet Latin sayings.

This one just had me turning page after page and now I'm
on to book 3!

Sosimo...Sos, posted as a bodyguard for entrepreneur, inventor and philanthropist Reagan MacArthur . Reagan is on a mission to keep military troops as safe as possible but this leads her into danger as the not so honourable underworld want to get their hands on her latest invention by any means possible.

Will Sosimo be able to keep her safe as they go on the run?
This book is the second in a series but can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoyed every moment spent in absorption while reading.
Waiting in anticipation for the next book from Ms Blackard
