Love is actually on the rise…

So what’s the problem?

It’s that everyone is falling in love with the wrong people…fictional ones.

Is it wrong to love someone if they aren’t real?

It is, if real spouses and partners are being ignored.

Agent Beaufont is on the case though and she won’t stop until she figures out who is behind this conspiracy related to love.

Paris always thought that Hollywood, with its glitz and glamour, was the culprit of all evil.

Little did she know that it was fairies behind the fame associated with movie stars and the dizzying spotlight on the red carpet.

FAIRYLAND is real and it’s full of deceit. And about to destroy love.

Can Paris and Faraday stop whoever is using the lust of the big screen to harm relationships worldwide?

Sarah Noffke Has Found Her Stride Once More!!!

Ok, time to tell a few secrets I’ve been sitting on since Paris’ 2nd book at Happily Ever After. These aren’t spoilers, but they are my secret opinions. And I finally think it’s time to share them.

So I’m a TREMENDOUS admirer of both Sarah’s imagination and writing style. However, “mamma always told me” that if I didn’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. So I’ve been biting my tongue. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Beaufonts and I love Paris’ story, but it had begun to feel a bit like I was reading something from Alphonse the Idiot rather than Sarah, She Can Write!, Noffke.

The stories felt rushed and artificial when compared to the stories of her mother and aunt. I could easily believe that magicians ruled in Santa Monica and that dragons ruled Scotland, because the stories were so elegantly crafted. Paris’ stories have lacked that elegance for one reason or another and I had begun to worry.

Now, let me say, in contradiction to the last paragraph, that there is NOTHING elegant about this book, and yet it soars like the best of Liv and Sophia’s stories. So it appears that I was wrong and elegance has nothing to do with it. This story is quick, terse and abrupt and it WORKS! In retrospect I think it’s because the writing style has changed to match Paris’ temperament, because she too, most certainly, is quick, terse and abrupt.

I think, now, upon reflection, that Sarah’s genius lies in making her writing style fit the temperament of her protagonists. I look at the Dream Traveller series, both of the teams on Ricky Bobby, as well as the Beaufonts and it fits. Precious Galaxy is written with an “efficient,” causal, almost military, style with just enough of a flair to give it personality and snark. The Lucidites has an expansive feel reminiscent of being in college that nicely fits as we and the protagonist learn about that world. Heck, even The House of Enchanted, which didn’t grab me, fits this mold as those books are somehow both flighty and focused.

Well reading this book has renewed my faith once more because Sarah has done it once more. Don’t expect to read this in the same way you have other Beaufont books. It is not an elegant flowing of prose.

It is terse, abrupt and has so many shifts that each chapter begins with a logus informing you of where you’re standing and what you’re looking at as the chapter begins.

It’s awesome. It’s Paris Beaufont reflected not in writing, but in writing style, and I promise you, you’ll enjoy!

What a great read!

Ill say it again, I love this series, I had no idea where it would take me but have enjoyed every step of the way. All of the Beaufont books have be a pleasure to read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Will Sara continue with the family or move on to another interesting book? We shall see and I for one will be looking forward to what comes this way. Great effort Tiny Ninja!

Excellent

Fun fun fun with Sherlock Holmes! The rats inside the FGA are getting bigger but Paris has just the right friends to take them down if they don't kill Faraday first.

Great Team Up

Well we're at the stage of the series we get the usual characters and the extra outlying characters and the special guest star. As this is Hollywood based for a lot of the book or near enough it's very appropriate and makes a nice change for the series. So solve the mystery, find the killer/villian/motive and watch Noffke do what she does best take real life and weave it into a fantasyical story.

Another great installment

As usual, Paris has so much going on - she has to find Sherlock Holmes in order to find Subfar so that she can raise money to be able to do her job.

She has to find out who the mastermind is behind all the bad things happening at FGA. And she still has to find love for the gamer geeks from Sad Lion. She has a lot on her plate.....

The usual characters show up - poor Ramy :D :D :D. Rudolf is his usual scatterbrained but exceptionally brilliant self.

Yet again, Paris and Faraday, are doing their best to protect the FGA against whoever it is, who seems determined to tear down the whole Love business.

Not only that but, as is usual for this daring duo, they also have to set off to try and find Sherlock Holmes who, up until that point, Paris had thought was a fictional character.

Between this, trying to deal with recalcitrant Agents who just didn't seem to like that Paris was an Agent, too, and also being asked to find Subnar's
brother, Subfar, the Protector of Wealth, then Paris and Faraday had far more on their plates than anyone else!

But Paris is very determined to keep up with all the various tasks she, and Faraday, as her sidekick, had taken on and, as she starts these new searches, she learns to rely on both new friends, and old, to help her find what she needs to both defeat her unknown enemy, keep the FGA afloat and, much more important to her, make sure that the Love Guage started to work as it should do!

This was a super fun story, especially with Sherlock Holmes involved, and I'm totally enjoying seeing Paris blossom into the confident, able, and very willing Agent, that she has become.

I'm really looking forward to reading the next book with this series, which I'm going to do straight away, as I go to book four: The Considerate Terror, to see what happens next!

Once I've read this, I'll see you on the flip side, to tell you what I thought of it!

To be able to finance her department, Paris has to find Sherlock Holmes. But first she needs to prove that Director Agent Zelle has been trying to take down FGI. This time he’s using the Fairyland movie studio (the real producers behind Hollywood) to have people love only fake actors instead of real people.

I love the scenes with Sherlock Homes except he quotes too much.

Footnote: 1) Confusion. The print words that show up on my audible version shows that chapter 1&2’s location is the ‘Canada’ lot, but it’s supposed to be ‘Canoodle’ lot.

Fave scenes: Paris shopping at the Sundry Charms store, Paris attending the junior manager meeting, Sherlock’s case conclusions and Faraday’s clues.

As always, Sarah, your AWESOME (add sauce if necessary).

I've been reading Michael's series in order. Well I started with a series in the middle of the list (that's when I found out there was a list). So, getting back to MA, I've read A LOT of his books that lead me to so many new authors and Sarah, you have me hooked!!! The Beaufonts are a family that really needs to adopt me!!! I'm only 71 for pigs sake!!! I'm off to read book 4 now.

Another fun story with lots of parts to the puzzle. This one has a murder mystery story within the story so that adds some fun - it's a Sherlock Holmes mystery - but with a Beaufont twist! And that's just one part of the storyline. Faraday and Ruldof continue to add smarts and humour. The book is really clever in how it has many different components, but they all tie together nicely. Such an entertaining read.

To know your enemy is to know thy self!

Paris knew from the first time she met him, that Jackson Zelle wasn't a good person. To bad she was right. And to bad he's so corrupt he can't be saved!

Now Pare has the famous Sherlock Holmes on her side to help save Love!
