Four people became eight, and eight became one. At first, I could feel the tension—not only between the two groups but also among the members within each group. Yet as time passed, this tension slowly disappeared. Loki was right: maybe the real treasure is the friends we make along the way. In the end, the bond they built with each other had a deeper meaning than anything else. I admit that I did not like some of the characters at first, but I eventually grew to appreciate them as I came to understand their stories, beliefs, and attitudes.

Speaking of beliefs, I strongly dislike how the islanders resorted to violence against the Diamante Family. This reminds me of what we see in the real world today—people often value land, money, or power more than human life. The situations may be different, but the theme is the same. Personally, I believe there were other ways to resolve the conflict. Instead of killing, they could have sought dialogue or some form of reconciliation. Violence only leads to more suffering, whereas communication could have opened a path toward peace and justice.

The islanders claimed to value their god, Migbante, yet their actions contradicted this belief. If all life belongs to Migbante, then the Diamante family—despite their faults—also deserved life and dignity. In the end, I especially feel bad for Jasper Diamante, who endured two years of false hope, only to discover the truth about his family. As the story shows, the truth may be painful, but it ultimately sets everyone free.

And the chaos that happens when Detective Triumvirate Plus One and QED Club meet is back! And now, its even better.

"Where's The X?" (WTX) is a sequel to the rivalry of the two groups but this time, its juicier, more exciting, thrilling, and also a little bit more heartbreaking than WDS. The story centers on an island, Paraysu Islands, where the two groups was fated to meet again with different assignments; one was to join a treasure hunt and the other to investigate about a missing person.

What I love about reading this is the constant speculation of "What could the treaure be?" "Where could the missing person be?" And the constant theorizing of what could've happened. Kinda guessed some parts but the feeling of thrill and sadness didn't lessen when the conclusion arrived.

TBH, I have only read Project Loki but I've always loved both of the groups since WDS (was surely planning to read Detective Files). They are both very similar and very different at the same time. Kinda sisters-not-twins vibe.

Love the story and all but Ate Tammii kinda forgot her characters lol.

-Gray has a photographic memory, he can memorize an entire script in one look but why did he refuse the blind chess challenge with Jamie who also has a retentive memory? That would've been a tough battle. Sayang

-One thing I also noticed is when Amber's main skills (except for her deduction one), like martial arts was not showcased in here huhuhu she went head head to head with a mafia reaper but gets easily beat up (not necessarily beat up) by some island bandits who weren't aware of her fighting skills. That would've been epic. I think that's fine since it was hinted that she was strong by Lorelei.

Yk they did great in this collab, we loved it, and we wanted more. Kuya Cris already demonstrated his characters' abilities, it's time that Ate Tammi should also step her characters up like in her series. (Amber and Gray having connections to the other big orgs, Math's computer science skills etc.) I'm sat and waiting for their next collab!

4.5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a good book. It was well written and I love the characters. Although, if you like reading mystery/thriller books, you can easily predict the ending of this story. Nevertheless, it was worth it to read.

Made me miss Detective Triumvirate Plus One and QED Club. Upon reading it, you can notice the characters and their roles, their personalities. You'll enjoy this more if you had read the 2 books.
