This one didn't make much sense at all. (Not much different from other Marie Rochelle books I've read) The characters can't make up their minds for anything, their attitude can literally change within one paragraph. You have to search to find where and what changed their minds. This one had a few unfinished plots at the end and it had me scratching my head.

Emily-- why have her even as part of the story then promise to do something to change the H's mind and then have her disappear from the book? What happened?

The H's feelings-- He is supposedly in love with her, then he sees the video and his exact words were something about how he could never feel the same way about the heroine, how he wasn't taking the blame for her actions and how disgusted he felt for her. Then literally the next page,or a few pages, I was reading on Kindle, anyway the next time he sees the heroine he is supposedly telling her how much he loved her and it didn't change how he felt for her.. Uhhh since when did he change his mind? Did I mention this was pretty close the end of the book so I wasn't really feeling their HEA.

Not to mention that I don't really have faith in their HEA because she will let anyone flirt with her or kiss her just because someone is making her "feel good" or "feel wanted"..

If the restaraunt is new and is less than six months old why do they need all new appliances and equipment? The timeline in the book is virtually nonexistent because supposedly it is going to take nine months to get the restaraunt up and running. In the book we go through his brother's wife's pregnancy before 5 months (they haven't found out the sex yet so she can't be very far along), we learn the baby's sex, the baby is born but it literally seems like weeks because nothing is outlined..

The spelling is off as usual (I've doesn't always work for I have) and I roll my eyes through most every book of this author's but I still can't quit reading them and will look into the other books in this series.

Oh my, what a delicious book! This is my first time reading anything from this writer and most certainly will not be my last. This book is part of a series, and although the writer tries to fill in the missing bits and pieces, I felt sort of left out. The main characters and even the secondary characters have met in the past and there the conflict started.

Now, Richard and Dawn’s story starts off with them reconnecting because they need each other in regards to business. Richard is a handsome all-alpha male who is learning how to treat Dawn’s fragile heart although it is clear to the reader how crazy he is about her. Dawn, on the other hand, is battling self-esteem issues while trying to decipher Richard’s feelings for her. They both decide, in addition to business, they will give their relationship a try on a personal level. During their six month separation Dawn became involved in a venture that she feels Richard has pushed her towards, but then a “friend” gets his hands on some vital information and began threatening to expose her via blackmail. The secret she is harboring is what is affecting her relationship with Richard, because she still doesn’t trust him enough to share her fears.

The writer was able to pull me in to the story quickly and I found the characters endearing. I actually felt what Richard and Dawn were feeling for each other and I began rooting for them. My next step is to gather all the other books in the series and fit in the missing pieces. Something tells me I won’t be disappointed.

Pretty good- it has it's sexy moments but Richard is very annoying- first he ignores the beautiful heroine and then he wants to own Dawn. He was a little to sure of himself, but Dawn is bailing his restaurant out and so are his brothers. I was left going ok he is hot but what does he do and what makes Dawn so easily fall for him. They both needed to be fleshed out more as individual characters and then why they fell out and a snapshot of them as a couple. Not bad though-I would re-read it.

it was ok, i was hoping for more, it still felt like a "color by numbers" book. Its like she had a checklist of what "goes in" to a romance novel and thats just what she did. I think there was potential for something more.

This book is getting 3 stars for pure entertainment value. The writing is actually 2 stars but the book was funny and I enjoyed it. The characters were ok but really ridiculous. The story is about a Black restaurant manager who is in love with her white boss (I only mention race because the author is know for her interracial romance titles). Richard and Dawn used to work together and then Dawn left because Richard never let her be the manager of his business. he had a sometimes girlfriend named Emily tat he always was comparing Dawn too. The restaurant gets into trouble and he ask Dawn to come back to get the restaurant back in the money. Secrets and misunderstandings ensue and the characters have to decide if what they feel for each other is real.

This book is a series of 4 about the Drace bothers, Richard (book 2 which I didn't know when I started reading). Zack, Lee and Brad. The author's writing is a little elementary and she repeated herself way too many times but I couldn't help but smile at the ridiculousness of the story. I will read the other's if I can get them at the library.

I started this series out of order with book #3. So now I've read book #2 and it was a good quick read and she Marie Rochelle told the story well. I just wished she wrapped their story up in this book and not in book #3.

I don't know if I'm going to purchase book #1 or #4.
