One by one, she watched The Last Riders find their happily ever after with women who weren’t her. The one that hurt the most was Reaper. But, even with the dagger that had been lodged deep in her heart, she still held hope that this time, finally, she would be given the winning hand. And what do you think she was given? Not the hot, badass biker she was expecting. He wasn’t bad, nor was he a biker. He was hot, though. While one out of three sucked, it wasn’t worth her giving up The Last Riders for. Of course that didn’t prevent her from taking him out for a test drive, either. Until … she found out the road ahead wouldn’t be the same without him. Until … she didn’t want to ride with anyone else. Until … she reached the curve in the road where she had to make a choice. Either leave The Last Riders to continue the ride with a man who might ultimately give her that winning hand, or leave him.
Jamie Begley is not your average Kentucky girl, and while she does like to cook her southern meals, this down-home momma prefers living in her biker and alien worlds!

Nooooo I can’t believe shade would cash in IOU’s to watch them have sex and also keep it from Lily. That changes how much I thought he cared for her. It bothered me about other members watching too but that one hurt. I think it’s time to part ways with this series. And now I can’t even go back and read my favorites cause it all ends up with these men who are soooo in love keeping things from their women for what? Jewell give me a f**king break.

I had a hard time thinking about these club women getting books. Back when Bliss came out, I went into that book with a bad attitude thinking no way could I understand her. I ended up getting her story and although I didn’t agree with her actions, at least she genuinely loved Shade so that explained her bad behavior; she did it for love.
Jewel? I don’t get it. I don’t see why she acted like did, I don’t see her loving only one and having that as an excuse for her attitude. Along comes Rory, and now they both fall instantly in love. Then we have the clubs exclusion of allowing her to date outside of club men. Just for her. Say what? Don’t start changing rules now. Bliss wasn’t allowed this, so why Jewel?
The IOU scene….. I can not stop raging over it. This does not make any sense. No way would these married men cash in IOU’s to watch Jewel and Rory. We witnessed in older books Shade seeing how Lily felt about the IOU’s he had with women and he did everything to make that right so she was not harmed by it. So I am to believe after he has married Lily, now he’s okay to gamble away her feelings and take a chance she finds out he was watching this, and it’s not a Friday night party where he just walks upon them. No, this is a planned event that he makes the decision to attend without her. Then, Knox, who in past books declared he can’t even attend parties because of his job, he attends and without Diamond. Oh, but his sister-in-laws best friend is there with her husband (only wife to attend ), and Killy doesn’t get upset? Killy has lost her mind repeatedly when one of her girls are disrespected. This scene did nothing but make me dislike the characters I used to like, and make me KNOW that Jewel hasn’t changed. She’s still doing whatever it takes to make herself in the spotlight and stir up trouble. The wives would be mad and upset to know what their men were doing without them!!!
I have some past books with some unanswered questions (Sasha) and nothing has been clarified, and I can’t tolerate more inconsistencies.
I will just stick with the first books and then I won’t have to worry with all of this.
First why did Reaper give Jewel permission to sleep with Rory? Thought they weren't to sleep with outsiders, but he gave her permission why? Just because of her feelings?
Why were all the Last Rider's watching Rory and Jewel have sex? He wasn't even becoming one of them so what was the purpose? I didn't agree with it what so ever considering the married men stated in past books they don't participate with that. Just didn't make sense, and It still didn't when the Author tried to explain it!!!
The part about her son torn my heart out.
I think the best part of this book was with Greer and her seeing her son. The rest was just blah tbh. What's happening with this Author.

OK. So I've read all of these books, and the additional series too. Let me start by saying I didn't think I could love Greer any more than I did; I WAS WRONG! He makes this book for me.
Everything else seemed, I don't know how to explain it. There were a couple of bits I had to read again, and I'm still not sure if I read it correctly but it didn't make sense, plus there was one scene near the end of the book that just made me disappointed in the Riders, and the men I thought they had become.
I'm not trying to take away from Jewell's story, but she was slightly overshadowed by bits in the storyline that felt slightly off.
Not my favorite of the series. What I liked: The paranormal aspect Seeing the crossover characters from the other books in the LR universe Jewel moving What I didn’t like: The biker bitches fighting with the wives of the last riders. That was so far fetched and had no clue where that came from Finally giving us the reason Rider didn’t divorce his brain dead wife. It’s been so long I don’t think we cared anymore. I gave this book three stars because I read to the end but I was very disappointed. This book along with Riders book are the worst of the series.

I said to myself that after reading Gavin's horrible books that I wasn't reading this author books again. I decided to give it another shot was not worth it. With so many errors in this book and past books are getting to be to much. I can see all the 5* are for the author not the book. This author needs to hire a proof reader or pay someone that knows how to actually proof read. I won't even bother with Jewel and Rory story just boring and dumb.

COMMENTS/NOTES: A lot of serious issues in this one. Jewell is jealous and broken hearted after Reaper and Ginny get together. She sacrifices herself for everyone else. The loss of Michael has devastated her along w/ guilt over her brothers. Her father Dylan was a piece of work-he got what he deserved. Loved Rory being so into Jewell from the start. He wanted her and was willing to take her sarcasm and being closed off. Mag and Greer are Jewell's mvps. I can't remember much of Rider's book, but he has some unresolved issues w/ Delara and Jo.
I’m unsure why my review is missing. Can authors delete? I didn’t like this book. It was contradictory of the past books and the characters. It’s like another person wrote it.
Read against my better judgement. Knew exactly what I was getting into though because of the spoilers. And I need to catch up before the second generation is released. Anyways, it was obvious from reading this that JB had a pretty big hard on for Jewell. Why? Only she can answer that. I guess I have a black heart, because I couldn't have cared less about the pity party JB was writing to redeem Jewell's character. I almost dislike her more than Bliss. Almost. And these women are club whores. No matter how many reviewers say it's women's sexual liberation. I call BS. Rory and Jewell's relationship felt forced to me. I got no big feelings from Jewell other than her wanting to suck his c*** everytime she saw him. That's all she ever thought about. Getting laid. Her feelings for Reaper/Gavin came out of nowhere to be honest, but JB pushed it towards the reader. And Jewell was just a bitch. To Ginny especially. Why JB always has The Last Rider's wives having no backbone I'll never understand. Jewell called herself the head bitch etc. When she first had sex with Rory he touched her like the other LR's had basically mimicking them because she asked him to. Rory was a gigglo now turned sex educator. Let's all collectively roll our eyes. But hey! Since that's all Jewell ever thinks about it was a perfect coupling. So this ho is still thinking about the wive's men. She was gross to be honest. Rory just felt like a puppet for Jewell. Always comparing him to the LR's. Then the end scene with the IOUs... Why everyone needed to watch her have sex with Rory I'll have no idea. The excuse of the IOUs was weak AF as a plot for this. Honestly it was cheating to me. I know, I know. They have their little sex club and love watching and participating with others, but it's almost like JB forgot what she wrote in previous books about past characters. Especially Shade, Lucky, and Knox. The rest of them? Who knows 🤷. I will mention that Reaper was not there. At least he had enough love and respect for his wife. So you can see this book rubbed me the wrong way as EVERYONE was kissing Jewell's ass. When this was the ho that tried to steal many a man in that MC. Yikes. Sorry I remember her character very well from previous books. Then there's Rider. This fucker still hasn't pulled the plug on his braindead wife and married Jo. Excuse my harshness. Now I can see why many reviewers didn't believe in Rider and Jo's HEA. That's the only thing Jewell did right. Riping him a new one for doing that to Jo.

This author has storytelling prowess. She’s a soul sucking thief of hearts. I would like to say “ohhhhhh I cried” but it’s more like every time I read one of these books I get emotional at some point. So yeah. Moving on. I was also riveted to the short plot with Jewel’s dad? Terrible father and husband. He was every bad cliche about men personified. A cheat, a “one upper”, a distant parent, he was overly punitive. Her dad also completely scapegoated her, it was painful to read. Next, based on Jewels persona, I suspected the source of her pain and BOOM!! This book affirmed some suspicions I had(I’ve skipped a few books so forgive me readers If this was revealed in other books.) jewel is a strong person. Rory is too! He’s a good match for her. He’s like 50 different men in one lol! Is there a license he doesn’t have? Ok maybe a pilots, but this guy spent some time exploring so much that life has to offer, this alone makes him interesting and a great partner. Add in the dance moves, the fact he’s a s*x god, rides like he stole it, and can read people on the spot? He’s caring. He’s kind. He can keep a secret. Rory has got a lot going for him. Rory and Jewel both have difficult origin stories if I can put it that way; this also helps make them so well matched.
Book 32! Without a single doubt, this is my favourite biker series of all time.
I can't tell you to read it, but God, you're missing out on something special if you don't!
Jamie Begley is a fantastic storyteller, I was right back into their MC world within two pages of starting Jewell's awesome story. Rory is perfection...but in line behind Shade, of course!
And don't be put off by it being a 32 book series so far, you'll want more, 50 books won't be enough!
Ugh!!! Why!? How?!? I didn’t want to like Jewell, I had it in my mind that she was not a nice person and every time in previous books I felt sorry for her she would ruin it by a deed/act/or mean comments she would do and that was it. Then her story came out and Jamie Begley flipped the script. I’m glad she’s not a horrible person and this shows that the Last Riders do have good taste in the people that they let into their ranks. She was in a messed up situation and they were there for her when no one else was. So I’m glad they ended that relationship on a positive note.
I really loved Rory in King’s book and I’m glad we got to see him again because whoo-eee that is one AMAZING book boyfriend! They were perfect from the start and he read her like a book (ha-ha) and they were meant to be.
The only problem I had with this story is they left the storyline open with Elizabeth, her aunt and Aerin wtf happened there I need more info PLEASE!!!!
Well color me surprised with this one. Being a long time fan of Ms. Begleys books, I pretty much read everything she puts out. I honestly wasn’t really looking forward to Jewels book from the way she came across in previous books. Her story totally changed my mind. I loved Rory and his career choice…and the twist at the end…loved it. Definitely have tissues at the ready with this one.
Talk about an emotional ride! I’m completely obsessed with Jamie Begley books! All her books are linked in some kind of way and the reading order! Yup I own every one of them except for the last 2 in paperback now! Jewell is not as she seems. She’s hard but she hides herself to protect her vulnerability. Her unrequited love for Reaper is heart breaking but her past had me balling my eyes out! And Greer! Gah! He is my favorite character of them all! Well… Shade will always and forever be my fav! But Greer is runner up! I never expected who Jewell’s man would be but I was pleasantly surprised to reacquaint myself with him! Loved this book and can’t wait for more!
Since the beginning there has always been a dislike for Jewel. She reminded me of the mean girl at school, but thru each book you get a glimpse of a person who carries a burden and her only defense is to be the person you can’t stand. This story shed so much light into who Jewel is, what she has accomplished. This book ranks right up there with Shade. Well done Jamie Begley!
Next to Shades Fall this is my favourite last rider. So unexpected as I wasn't really a fan of Jewel. I thought she was a sneaky b###h Heart breaking yet heart warming story about this misunderstood last rider. And once again we are left with unanswered questions - till the next time we meet.
I’m not really sure what i expected Jewell’s story to be but this was so sweet yet heartbreaking but also romantic and uniquely Jamie Begley. Rory was completely unexpected but i absolutely loved him. I always want to stay in the Last Riders world for longer and am sad to leave when the book is over. Until next time…
Jamie you did it again......Amazing. Lovely to see a side to Jewell not seen but always new she had a soft centre. Rory what a man but the right man. Keen to know about Elizabeth ?? & the background of what really happened...... Maybe next book with Moon or Nickel ???? Loved we got a bit about everyone also. Your Talent gives light to people's lives. Thank you xxx
This book… where to begin? I went in blind. I didn’t really like Jewell before. This book will tug on your heart strings. Jewell and Rory are perfect for each other. And Greer? He’s such a marshmallow. I loved how the kids are a bit older and how family oriented the story was. Jewell comes out as this hard person, but she’s a softy inside. I’m glad she found her place and healed through the book. Grab your tissues, you’re going to need them.
Oh my!! The Last riders series (and the Biker Bitches) just keep getting better and better. While reading all the other books in the series, I did not care for Jewel. After reading her book, I see her in a new light. This book will make you laugh, then cry. But it gives you a new prospective on what made her into the person she is. A must read!!
I loved revisiting with the Last Riders again. I loved Rory and Jewell. They are good together. Now I understand Jewell better. Then there is my man Greer. I didn't think I could love him more than I do but now I ?I've him even more. This was a great boom. I hope there will be a book for Moon and Nickel soon.
WOW! Grab your tissues, what a ride. Completely not what I expected of Jewels story, I hate how I like her now. Loved seeing all the main characters play a big part of this book too.
Didn't want to like Jewell.. Nope I didn't! Greer made me!!! Love how Rory who may not be a Last Rider definitely kept Jewell on her toes. Wish I got some more answers but that's what the next book is for!!!
If your a Fan of JB’s MC Series this book is good insight into one of TLR women member. I alway thought there was more to Jewell here we finally get some of those long awaited answers.
OMG! Jamie is a master with words. This entire series is amazing, but being the insight on Jewell has been one of my absolute favorites. This book gutted me in all the best ways.
This was so good I oved this book it was back to the main characters and there was nothing better. This had me crying I felt so sorry for her how she put on a mask to hide her softer side but the kids saw right through her this group are a true family
Man that was a rollercoaster! I loved it, I don’t think I’ve laughed that much since reapers wrath and reapers salvation.I love Rory,he’s so confident and dang he oozes sex! He might be a better set expert than the last riders. It was hot. Loved the banter between jewel and Rory, such a great book.
