Wow! With Erick out of town Mitzy has to work with Deputy Paulsen to find her cousin and her bridal party. Mitzy’s learns more about Paulsen’s life outside of the police force and starts to see her skills as police officer. Is this the beginning of a truce with Paulsen? When Erick returns it is time for Mitzy to come clean about her psychic abilities she’s been hiding. Will Erick be able to accept Mitzy for who she is?

I loved this book. Mitzy is still her snarky self, but she does tone it down to work with Paulsen. It was great learning more about Paulsen. Though I don’t see a new friendship between her and Mitzy any time soon. The mystery is fast paced and you really get to see Paulsen’s skills as a cop. The secondary story of Mitzy and Erick’s relationship was entertaining and fun. I am so looking forward to see how they relationship progresses in the next book.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator is wonderful at capturing Mitzy’s personality. She makes the listening experience fun as she helps being the story to life.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I have not been influenced by anyone.

I enjoyed MItzy Moon's latest adventure, Blades & Bridesmaids. This is a fast-paced book which definitely changes things up. Sincer her boyfriend, Sheriff Erick Harper is out of town, Mitzy has to team up with her nemesis, Deputy Pauly Paulsen, to rescue her newly discovered cousin, who is on a canoe trip with friends.

Mitzy's cousin, Diane, and the bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding are being stalked and it could be by a killer who has just escaped from prison. Pauly has the outdoor skills that Mitzy doesn't have, but Mitzy has psychic abilities that help her zero in on Diane's whereabouts. I really enjoyed this part of the book. Mitzy gains a new respect for her nemesis, Pauly, and I also liked seeing a different side of the deputy, one that is both capable and compassionate.

Things take an unexpected and unusual turn when Mitzy returns home. I have mixed feelings about the plot twist, but it definitely gives Mitzy and Erick a unique way to settle the differences that have been causing obstacles in their relationship. Overall, I found the book to be fun and love how things turn out in the end. This book is much more upbeat than the prior book and is recommended for fans of the series and anyone looking for a humorous cozy mystery.

I received a copy of this book from the author, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

What. A. Ride!

With Erick in Quantico, Mitzy has to deal with Paulsen. Because of course something happens and she gets into a situation where she needs Paulsen’s help. And honestly? It was good to see different sides of Paulsen. And Mitzy learns tact! She’s come a long way.

My favorite part of the book was the … I don’t know how to say this without spoiling anything. So I won’t say anything more than what happened was hilarious and also beyond beautiful! And I laughed out loud more times than I can count!

A quote from Grams: “I don’t know the first thing about camping, dear. For the first time in my life, I have no idea what one would wear on an occasion!”

This series continues to impress me. I felt so emotional at the end!

Mitzy is on the case once again and this time Eric is not there to back her up! Can Mitzy and Paulson actually work together or will one of them end up buried in the backwoods! This is once again an outstanding installment in the Mitzy Moon series and the mystery is just part of the plot! It's time for Mitzy to come clean with the Too Hot To Handle Sherrif, but she may be in for a surprise when she finds out she isn't the only one who has been holding back! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book! I'll anxiously be awaiting the audio as this series is a must listen series for me! The author crafts an amazing book and the narrator brings the characters and plot fully to life! It's as if there is magic when the two of them team up!

Another awesome book in the Mitzy Moon series! It was so hard to put it down. I spent most of Memorial Day reading it. With each new book, I love these characters even more as they slowly evolve. Mitzy is the perfect heroine. She is vulnerable, snarky, and wears her heart on her sleeve.

In “Blades and Bridesmaids,” Odell receives a mysterious call from his niece Diane who is on a camping trip with her bridesmaids. She tells Odell that she thinks they are being stalked. It is Mitzy to the rescue! But her boyfriend Erick is away at an FBI training camp, meaning she has to work with Deputy Paulsen. These two have never gotten along, but I enjoyed the interplay between them on this canoe trip. Yes, Mitzy…klutzy Mitzy…in a canoe. Yeah, some good laughs there.

It is also time for Mitzy to spill her secrets to Erick. The way Trixie does this results in some hilarious moments. I laughed so hard! (Oh, and Erick has a pretty big secret also.) Even Pye couldn’t handle it.

I highly recommend this series. It has romance, mystery, humor, heartwarming moments, and characters I would love to have as friends.

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Book 19 and I am hooked more than ever, as the books keep getting more intriguing and this one is excellent. Mitzy is on her own as Erick has been away from Pin Cherry for two months on training, but her father, who is also away, calls her to advise her to stay safe as very dangerous convicts had escaped the penitentiary and might be on their way close by. That of course sets Mitzy on her first adventure in this book as she bullies Paulson, who is acting sheriff, in joining her in her search for Diane and her bridesmaids out in the wilderness. This involves camping and a trip in a canoe all of which Mitzy is so not cut out for, and end up being hilarious. Then when this adventure ends she and Erick end up in a switcheroo which is even more hilarious, except for poor Pyewacket who cannot abide this kind of craziness and runs to Silas for solace. Erick wanted to know all of Mitzy's secrets but with the switcheroo they both get more than then bargained for, as both had secrets but upon knowing each other the acceptance and closeness is much greater. I do feel that we are getting closer to the final commitment between these two love birds and I must say it is high time and I look forward to the day and the book this happens in. So bring it on Ms. Silvertale!

This book was different in that Mitzi had to partner up with acting Sheriff Paulsen while Erick is away. It was more of a rescue mission and not so much a murder mystery. Mitzi discovers things she didn’t anticipate on her camping trip. Later when Erick returns she decides it’s time to reveal her secrets and Silas comes up with a way for them to understand each other. Well a sort of freaky Friday happens and they switch bodies. This is where it starts to become funny. I loved seeing them switch. I’m glad it ended the way it did. Can’t wait for the next one.

How this author comes up with her ideas? I have no idea but she continues to surprise and entertaining her fans. If after reading the last book, then like me you were expecting a big reveal where the main character spills all her secrets to the Love of her life, wrong!! because that would be so simple. Instead Mitzy finds herself in a hilarious situation that only she could manage. Secrets do get told, which has Pyewacket (the loveable calico) running for the hills and things certainly get interesting. The first part of the book is were the mystery comes into the story and I just loved it. With Erick away at FBI sleepover camp, Mitzy has to work with acting sheriff Paulsen to help locate a missing bridal party deep in the woods. The rivalry and bickering between the two of them has been happening right from the start of the series, so it was funny listening to them finally trying to work together, without Erick stepping in. Camping with those two is more dangerous than I remember it ever being. Then the story finishes with the big twist and heart to heart. It is hard to explain what went on without giving any spoilers but as I said at the start I never saw that coming. Just a fun cozy paranormal story with delightful characters to get you chuckling.
When Odell receives a phone call from his niece claiming to be in trouble while camping with her bridal party. Mitzy steps up to help her newly discovered cousin, despite the warning that escaped convicts were rumoured to be heading in that direction. With her sheriff boyfriend Erick away, Mitzy turns to deputy Paulsen for help. Can the two of them put there difference a side and survive a camping trip to find them? Especially as bears aren't the only dangerous thing they will have to face. Mitzy barley makes it out alive before she has to decide if she is finally ready to spill all her secrets to her boyfriend. What will she decided?
I like the narrator. The author makes the characters alive on the pages but the narrator makes them come alive off the pages.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntary left this review.

Mitzy and Pauly form an uneasy alliance when Mitzy’s cousin and her friends are taken captive and they need to go into the woods to rescue them! Some of their bad feelings towards each other are understood as Mitzy learns respect for acting sheriff Paulsen and her skills in the wilds!

Mitzy decides it’s time to let Erick know the secrets she’s kept from him but the “telling” is different than she expects as she finds out that he has been keeping a big secret from her also!

This series is so enjoyable! I have loved these characters from the first book and each book thereafter Trixie just builds on that wonderful feeling I get when I start the next book! Ghost Grams, Pyewacket, Silas, Twiggy, Odell, Erick and now even deputy Paulsen add to the flavor and when you mix and stir them all together you get a recipe for a beautifully crafted, well written book you will love and enjoy! The only thing you need to do now is to get the entire series so you don’t miss any of the humor and love woven throughout this series!

I wholeheartedly recommend this book and this series to one and all as a series you will easily fall in love with! Mitzy will steal your heart away from the first time you meet her, when Silas appears at her doorstep and tells and gives her an invitation that literally changes her entire life for the better!

I can’t encourage you enough to get this entire series so you get to meet all these wonderful people and one caracal who will become your friends with the first book- after Mitzy has to prove to the sheriff that she didn’t kill the man outside her bookstore the morning after her arrival in Pin Cherry Harbor!

I can guarantee you will love this series and the characters therein will quickly become your friends!

In this most recent addition to the Mitzy Moon series, Mitzy is missing Sheriff Harper who is away at an extensive FBI training session (or as Mitzy calls it “FBI sleepaway camp.” But never fear, Acting Sheriff Pauly Paulson, who doesn’t exactly get along with Mitzy, is filling in for him while he is gone. Now, Mitzy and Paulson are forced to work together when Odell’s niece and her bridal party are being stalked in the woods while on a bridal party camping trip. Camping is not something that Mitzy is familiar with, and she and Acting Sheriff Paulson need to be able to work together well enough to rescue the missing girls before they wind up dead. Can the two of them manage it?

I really enjoyed reading this story. (I read it in one day.) There is a lot going on, and watching Mitzy and Acting Sheriff Paulson learn to work together and rely on each other in the woods was a very interesting story. We get to learn a lot more about this secondary character and her history and motivations that we haven’t gotten to see before, and it truly adds to the enjoyment and understanding of the character. And while this may be Mitzy’s mission to rescue the girls, this time she isn’t the only one who gets to be the hero of the story.

There is also a secondary plot in this one involving Mitzy and her “Sheriff too hot to handle.” I don’t want to say too much about that story since it is just, if not more entertaining and enlightening as the main part of this book. It is definitely as much, if not more fun to see the trouble this plot twist causes the two characters as well as the lessons learned from it. And I definitely am looking forward to seeing what trouble they all get into for the next book in this series.

One of the funniest paranormal cozy mystery in this series yet! When Mitzy is alerted by her grandpa that her cousin is in trouble on their bridesmaid camp out, she sets her wheels in motion and has to find her and bring her to safety. Unfortunately, her boyfriend, Erick, the sheriff is away at Quantico for the past two months training, so she has to do this on her own. But not exactly, the annoying acting sheriff Paulsen, who is gruff, by the book and not too fond of Mitzy will be going with her. With Paulsen being a veteran outdoors woman, they set out to the large park to find her cousin and the rest of the bridesmaids and bring them to safety. Keeping in mind Mitzy is a former city girl, we are treated to a lot of laughs along the way. With ghost-gran at a loss for how to help Mitzy pack, And with Silas, her mentor, giving her some paranormal, alchemist help, she is a step ahead. But she can't let Paulsen see what she does. We are taken on a real ride in this 19th book of the series! Add to that, when Erick returns and Mitzy feels she has to finally tell him who she really is, magic and all, she enlists Silas' help for Mitzy and Erick to share their secrets and pasts. I never laughed so hard as I did with this book. No spoilers here - you have to read this book for pure fun and entertainment. I love this series, each book written with great characters, great mystery and lots of laughs you will love it too, of that I am sure. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

There's one thing everyone knows about Mizithra (Mitzy), she will do whatever it takes to help family. She learns Diane is her cousin immediately after finding out that Diane called from a river trip reporting a stalker and asking urgently for help.

Mitzy is the only one to lead a rescue, and she has to take acting Sheriff Paulson. The women can barely tolerate each other, but Erick (the sheriff) is still out of town, so Mitzy has no other choice.

There are a couple of problems; Mitzy doesn't know anything about camping, canoeing, or the great outdoors, Diane has four (future) bridesmaids with her, and three scary men escaped from an area prison heading that direction.

Book 19 is short and entertaining, however, it is not a gimmick, and shouldn't be missed in the series. Soon after Mitzy gets back home, Erick will return from two months of FBI training, and they'll both learn far more than they expected to about the other.

Happenings surrounding the former orphan (with paranormal abilities) are a bit unusual for people like us, but we can't really be be surprised by the trouble or blessings that Mitzy brings to Pin Cherry Harbor and its residents.

NOTE: As mystery/adventures often do, this book contains an off-screen murder and kidnapping. Although neither are descriptive or graphic, they could be upsetting due to the circumstances.

This is my favorite book from the series! I love that we get to see Paulsen and Mitzy working together. People aren’t always what they seem to be and neither are characters. Paulsen wasn’t my favorite character. She is, often, a thorn in Mitzy’s side. She has been an intriguing character for me, (which she continues to be).
This book also seemed a bit more tense than usual. Perhaps it was the great outdoors or maybe the Paulsen-Moon combination that made this seem edgier. Whatever it was worked for me. I loved the thriller touch added to the cozy mystery. (It is a light touch so no worries. The book is still cozy paranormal.) The added shiver had me flipping pages.
There is a lot more going on but I’m leaving that for you to delight in yourself. If you are new to the series, I can’t stress enough to start with the early books. There is an amazing story running through the books that you really want to unfold in order. The mysteries are solved though so no cliffhangers with them. If you are already a reader of the series, I think you will be surprised by how quickly you are going to turn pages. The series just gets better and better!

Trixie Silvertale is my favorite paranormal mystery writer! How can she make every book seem more exciting than the last? But, this is exactly what she does in Blades and Bridesmaids--the 19th--of the Mitzy Moon series. I can count on plenty of humor and a good mystery whenever a Mitzy book comes out.
In this installment her bridesmaids are camping out in the woods when something disastrous occurs to Mitzy's cousin. Grandpa gives her the -'heads up', and Mitzy is on the case. As is every case, drama and humor blend to make this an engaging, fast-paced read. Mitzy and Paulson enter new relationship territory, Silas has new info to share, and Erick is clued in to some of Trixie's ''abilities". An action packed story with characters I love.
Though a newbie to the series can read this without reading the previous books, I highly recommend that you start from the first in order to enjoy the character growth of Mitzy and the gang.
Thank you to Author's Direct/Spotify for the advanced readers audiobook copy I requested. I did not have to give anything in exchange. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is Book 19 in the Mitzy Moon series and I absolutely loved it. When Odell’s niece and bridal party go missing in the woods, and with Erick still out of town, it is up to Mitzy and Acting Sheriff Paulsen to find them. There is also a murderer on the loose and time is of the essence. One problem – Mitzy has never camped and must depend on Paulsen to survive this trip. Mitzy learns more about Paulsen’s life outside of the police force and starts to see her skills as a police officer. They develop a tentative temporary truce between them to save the girls and catch the bad guy. When Erick returns it is time for Mitzy to come clean about her psychic abilities that she’s been hiding. Erick and Mitzy will also learn more about each other than they ever planned to and it was so funny to see how it is developed. I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator is wonderful at capturing Mitzy’s personality. She makes the listening experience fun as she helps bring the story to life. This was such a good addition to the Mitzy Moon series and I look forward to the next book.

This is book 19 in the series, and I hope there will be another 19 books (or more). There are so many great characters. Mitzy is hilarious and a klutz. Her boyfriend, Erick, is the sheriff and loves Mitzy, but he’s out of town for the first half of this book. Her caracal, Pyewacket, and her ghost grandma always lend a bit of humor.

Mitzy and Deputy Paulsen go to rescue Mitzy’s cousin and her bridesmaids out in the middle of nowhere. I know everyone Mitzy usually relies on is out of town, but I would think at the least that her grandpa would join them. However, I enjoyed getting to know Deputy Paulsen and seeing that there is another side to her. Mitzy even seems to have a new respect for her. Mitzy in the outdoors was also quite funny.

Mitzy and Erick’s relationship is still sweet, and I was happy to see that they’re making progress. And Erick has a big secret too! That was a surprise!

This is an excellent series for anyone who enjoys fun, quick reads with great characters. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Mitzy finds out that her cousin was taken captive along with some friends while on a camping trip. She's determined to rescue them so she enlists help from Paulsen who is acting sheriff while Erick is gone. The girls are being held in the woods, so Mitzy must endure a canoe trip and some camping. Can she and Paulsen work together to find the girls before it's too late?

This has become a favorite series and this book is a prime example of why. I look forward to each new book which always seems better than the last. The book was well-written and had wonderful characters. This captivating story is full of intrigue and humor with a touch of romance and the paranormal. I was drawn into this tale and kept hooked from beginning to end. I'm absolutely looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend both book and series. Each book could technically be read as a stand-alone, but I suggest reading the series in order for the most enjoyment and benefit. I did receive an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems. This is my honest, unbiased, and voluntary review.

While Mitzy’s Dad and Erick are away (the later at FBI Sleep Away Camp ha,ha) do you think Mitzy can stay out of trouble? Of course not! She’s headed out to the wilderness to rescue her cousin Diana (she just found out she had) and her bridesmaid party. There’s escaped convicts in the area, too…. If you know our beloved clutz Mitzy by now, you know she’s not the outdoorsy type, this is going to be fun And dangerous. Luckily, acting sheriff Paulson accompanies her to keep her safe. I really enjoyed them having to work together and seeing another side to Paulson.
Mitzy’s decided not to keep any more secrets from Erick, after their two months apart and Silas has a great idea what might help there. Trying hard not to give to much away at this point, but MUST say it was such a pleasure listening to the story as an Audiobook! Coleen Marlow always does such a good job giving different characters different voices. How she keeps them all straight is beyond me, but so, so funny!
Lovely ending to book #19 and eager to listen to the next one!

entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series

This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Mitzi moon is a psychic/alchemist/mystical lady with a few amazing powers and still learning. Her boyfriend is the local sheriff and she helps him solve mysteries as well as gets involved another mysteries around town in the area she lives in. She inherited her grandmother‘s bookshop. Even though her grandmother passed away her grandmother‘s ghost is anchored to the bookstore because her grandmother also had unique abilities and assistance of her alchemist mentor anchor her spirit to the bookstore. Along with her wildcat pie who has some unique abilities in his own ways. Mitsy Digs in and sometimes jumps without looking but almost always finds the responsible party. Redo and follow the adventure this time as it’s a slightly different mystery and she has to work with a few people she doesn’t normally work with. Don and enjoy.

This is one of my favourite books in the series, the story was beautifully paced as always with lines that made me laugh out loud frequently. There is just the right amount of detail in the descriptions of the surroundings that you are there with them along for the ride and the end was very much a ‘finally!’ moment.

With Eric still away at FBI sleep-away camp Mitzy has to team up with the most unlikely partner ever and I loved seeing a different side to Paulson. Getting to know her back story and seeing her out of uniform made her into an even more real person and even though I really didn’t want to I ended up liking her.

The second part of the book was just hilarious, you would think Mitzy would know better than to expect anything simple from Silas. It’s definitely a bad idea when even Mr Cuddlekins thinks so!

Can’t wait for the next book and to see where the new understandings take Mitzy and Eric.

I kind of have mixed feelings about this book. All the actions between Mitzy and Paulsen are interesting and are pretty well done but the rest of the book, with the Mitzy/Erick situation repeats an idea that I think has been over-used, and that is switching bodies.

First, Silas should have warned them something like that was possible. The main problem is the seriousness of the switch. Erick is a police officer. He has to be ready at all times to deal with crimes that can range from the very minor (jaywalking, for example) to life-or-death situations.

What would have happened if something really serious would have occurred while Mitzy was in Erick's body? It could have cost something their life or even cost Mitzy/Erick hers. I know the way the book handles it things turn out okay but there was always the possibility that something could have gone severely wrong.

I would this as the lowest book of the series so far.

Excellent!

I wasn't sure which way this book was going to go after the ending of the last one. Mitzy is a one-off and I love her snarky attitude and way of dealing with everything. After reading every book since the beginning the characters never cease to keep growing.

With Erick away and trouble brewing, our heroine finds herself going off with arch-enemy acting, Deputy Paulsen. Mitzy's cousin and her bridesmaids are in big trouble and like it or not, these two have to partner up on a camping trip to try and track the ladies down. We have fun moments, laughter and just a touch of openness, which may or may not last in the long-term.

On Erick's return, Silas has a novel way of encouraging the couple to at long last be honest with each other - which has been a long time coming. I won't spoil it with the details, you'll have to read it for yourself! Great story.

This is another marvellous book in the series by Trixie Silvertale. I will keep reading them if she keeps writing them.

Odell's niece Diane is getting married and her and her bridesmaids have gone on a wilderness trip as a before the wedding celebration. Odell gets and phone call states that Diane thinks they are being stalked, so Mitzy decides to help. Eric is away at Quantico, so she has to ask Acting Sheriff Paulsen to help her. At the same time, there is a report come in that there are escaped prisoners at large in the area. So there is the possibility that they are involved. Mitzy and Paulsen both discover things about each other that they didn't know and would come to appreciate, whilst out in the wilderness and in dangerous situations.

This one felt like two separate short stories and both of them felt very rushed.

For the first half, Mitzy and Paulson (sp? I did audio)are working together to rescue some people in the woods. It was fun having these characters together and Paulson’s version of getting Mitzy out of the way to keep her safe was hilarious. 😆

For the second half, Mitzy and Erick are learning to “understand each other” better. That was definitely needed after the end of the previous book, but the “situation” (trying to avoid spoilers) implied it should come with a deep understanding of each other. But, it ended up being super fast and just surface level experiences instead. I’m still disappointed with the Sheriff.

Mitzy and Paulsen go camping???

But, when Sheriff Too Hot is still away on his course, and Mitzy's cousin needs rescuing, they're all out of options.

Silvertale is a master at teaming the unexplainable with the unexpected. Sending Mitzy off into the woods with Paulsen is some of each, and a recipe for mayhem . . . and perhaps even a bit of self-discovery.

You'll love this latest instalment in the Almost Canada saga, make sure you don't miss it!

Mitzy, Deputy Paulson , escaped felons, a man determined to protect the wilderness at any cost, bridesmaids and an isolated island. What could possibly go wrong?

With Sheriff Erick out of town and Deputy Paulson in charge. It's up to Mitzy to provide backup when O'Dell's niece makes a call for help from an isolated area where she and her bridesmaids are camping. Will Mitzy and Paulson be in time to save the day?

You don't want to miss this page turning adventure with Mitzy Moon and her friends from Pin Cherry or the special reunion with Erick and Mitzy.

I received this book free as an advanced reader copy and the review is entirely my own.

When Mitzy gets an ominous message in her ring, she knows she has to do something. With acting sheriff Paulsen, Mitzy attends a camping trip to rescue a missing bridal party who has called in to say they were being threatened by a wildland/wildlife enthusiast and protector just before they disappeared. Can Mitzy come out of this case unharmed and by the time Sheriff Harper returns?
On top of an already crazy case, Mitzy finally decides to tell Erick the whole truth, but with it comes some skeletons from both their closets. Will they be strong enough to handle it, or will this be the final chapter for Mitzy and Erick?

Trixie Silvertale is an author I immensely enjoy reading. I love how I can escape reality and head to Pin Cherry Harbor and visit characters I know and love.
Reading this book I could tell the author had fun writing it. And who wouldn't have fun writing about Mitzy and Eric swapping bodies! Eek! What I loved was their reactions and how Mitzy realised Eric is the one for her.
I really appreciated Paulsen and how Mitzy worked towards a greater good instead of focusing on her dislike for Paulsen. I will be interested to see how they sort their differences out in future.
I love the characters and can't wait to see how things will unfold between them all in tge next book.

Mitzy and Paulsen sharing a wilderness trek, there's something I never thought I'd see. With Eric away and her cousin in trouble these two have to rely on each other to perform a heroic rescue. Loved it, and the last part gives walking smile on someone else's show a whole new meaning, I laughed out loud. Great story, wonderful characters and A great ending, another inventive, hugely entertaining cozy !mystery in this series. Coleen Marlo gives another winning performance with the audio. Unputdownable. I received a complimentary copy of the Audio book and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
