Mia Bishop lives in the high desert of Southwestern Colorado in an area steeped in myths and superstitions. She spends her days with her husband and two children, along with their four rescue cats. This was a really awesome read about Cain and Lily. They both were part of the underworld and met at a speed-dating event where Lily worked. There connection was instantaneous but then we find out there is a hit on one of them. They must work together to find out who it's from and how to beat it. Great and entertaining story!

Cain is book 8 in the Speed Dating Series and I loved it. This is Cain's 3rd week of Speed Dating and he is only doing it for his mother but so far it's the same thing over and over, no real interest in the women and they all ask the same question, tell me how it felt to kill your brother. Cain is fed up until Lily sets down and they just start talking. Problem is Lily is on her break, she just accidentally set down in a speed dating chair and after 15 minutes realizes she has to get back to work. But Cain is very much impressed with Lily, not just because of the sparks that flew when they touched either. And when he finally gets her on a date they realize that others are watching them. They find out from Cain's brother Abel that someone wants Lily dead but Cain will do everything in his power to protect her. But does Lily need his protection or is it Cain that needs Lily's protection. This is such a great read, I really liked the play with the characters and who they were in life vs who they are in death. Love this great Underworld series where authors have made this whole world to be whatever they want it to be. Great story, lots of action and intrigue and some steam in there too. Wonderfully written story.

Cain is a charming, humorous, relatable, exciting page turner. It's filled with action, steamy romance, unexpected comedy, & love. The characters are relatable yet complex. Cain carries a heavy burden on his shoulders and thinks he doesn't deserve happiness. His family sets Cain up for speed dating where it seems everyone he meets asks the same questions over and over week after week. Love has a way of sneaking up on you. It's filled with good intention friends & family, some sure will surely give you laughs. Lily is smart, kind, bold & resourceful yet some say naive but she's perfect, most women can relate to her. A crazy ex on the loose what's she up to? Is she going to cause problems? I love reading from both points of views. Cain is quite complex as an assassin that can't lie. Lily is a humble yet knowledgeable witch. Yet they're like yin yang but a perfect fit. Will they make it to their 2nd date? You won't want to miss this book with it's twists & turns, everything and everyone are not what they seem.

This is the 8th book in the “Speed Dating With The Denizens Of the Underworld Series” and this is my first time reading a book by this author. Cain is an assassin and is curse. Cain’s mom and Aphrodite run a speed dating event. Cain is attending the speed dating event at his mom’s request and has not found anyone suitable. Lily works at the speed dating event at Delux Cafe. Lily is in the serving room and takes a break and just so happens to sit at one of the tables designed for speed dating. Cain meets Lily and there is instant connection. Cain and Lily are out and dating and some is watching them. Someone wants Lily dead. Cain and Lily are awesome together. I enjoyed Cain and Lily in this paranormal romance.

Who wants Lily dead and Cain protect her and keep her safe, will Lily become Cain’s fated mate?

This is another great book in this series. Cain is still looking for his mate so he hits the speed dating at the DeLux Cafe. But to his dismay the women he meets are only interested in how he feels about murdering his brother. Lily is run off her feet during her shift so taking a break she sits down at the first table she can find only to have Cain sit down beside her thinking she is part of the speed dating. There is definite chemistry between them and he wants to get to know Lily the witch better. But fate has other ideas, Cain's ex- wife has a crazy plan that involves using Lily to get her goals. This is a great book, love, fated mates, adventure and danger. All the good ingredients for a successful story.

This was an interesting whimsical story. There's plenty of steamy scenes and a little danger and drama to spice up any love story.
Lily, a witch that runs a store and works part as a bar maid, accidentally ends up on a speed date with Cain. Cain is tired of the speed dating scene until he stumbles upon Lilly. With a little help from his mother Eve, Cain was able to find where Lilly was staying and ask her out. While their date was in progress, chain's ex was causing trouble, sending danger their way. Lilly came up with a plan and with the help of Cain's brother, Abel, to put an end to Cain's ex evil plans.

Loved this story that is the eighth book in this series. I totally been enjoyed reading this story. This story was engaging and well written and a great addition to this series. Our romantic couple is Cain from the bible who is cursed and Lily who works at DeLux Cafe. Cain an assassin is frustrated for not finding someone in the speed dating event that his mother helps run with Aphrodite. Lily accidently sits at a designated speed dating table when she sits down to take a break from serving the room. Cain meets Lily when he sits at the table. Cain feels an instant spark toward Lily a reborn human who now is a witch. After two days after the event Cain decides to pursue her. What occurs is a delightful story that I received via Booksprout and enjoyed reading and that I volunteer to review.

This is the 8th book in the Speed Dating with the Denizens of the Underworld series and these books are addictive. He's doing this to please his mother, but all these dates boil down to the same question, "How did it feel to kill your brother?" Cain just wants to be seen as a person and not that decision. Lily works at the cafe where the speed dating takes place and while on her break, she accidentally sits in a speed dating chair. Cain and Lily have a connection and when she realizes she needs to get back to work, Cain wants more. The book is well paced, compelling character, interesting twist, sizzle, steam, and more. Great series, great read.

Serendipity - The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

Or to put it another way, Sometimes you just get lucky. Cain has almost given up on Speed Dating. He wants to be seen for himself, and that's not happening. Then Lily inadvertently sits at the dating table across from him. They click, they spark...but it could never be that easy. There is an ex-wife and threats to Lily's life, but Cain vows to protect her. Will he succeed and will she be his fated mate? I really enjoyed this story from a new-to-me author. I loved Lily's feisty, strong, and spirited nature. (No shrinking violet here.😉).

I absolutely loved this relatively quick read. Cain is going to speed dating events, but had not found anyone, until he met an employee Lily. He was interested in Lilly, I enjoyed how his mother gave him the opportunity to see her again. They connect and fit perfectly as a couple. it is not smooth for them, they have to deal with his ex along the way. Lily was amazing, fierce, and really stepped up when needed. Cain makes you fall for him, with everything he is going through and his devotion. The ending wow, you have to read it. I highly recommend this entertaining romance. This is a story about a H who has been cursed by his past and is now an assassin. He has become frustrated because of not finding someone at the speed dating events he has attended. All he wants is for someone to see him as just a person!
The h is a reborn human who is now a witch and works at the DeLux Cafe. She accidentally sits at one of the designated speed dating tables when taking a break. Guess who is sitting across from her?

Cain is the eight book in a fun and unusual series of speed dating and find love.

Cain arrived at the event as a favor to his mother, but with a small hope someone will see him. Annoyed to be asked the same questions, it is surprise with her meets Lily.

Lily works at the DeLux Cafe and sat down at one of the events the table for a break with Cain sat across. The connection between them is strong, and when Lily's life become in danger, Cain can't help the need to protect her.

Great addition to the series and an amazing story to get lost in.

I was pleasantly surprised by this unique story about Cain. I enjoyed the fact that he kept going back to make his Mother happy. The way he came about meeting Lily entirely by accident really made me enjoy this story more. I really loved the way that Lily and Cain just fit together as a couple. No spoilers, this was to good to ruin it with them! I Loved It!!!.

This book was just wow!!! Why can I say Cain (yes THAT Cain as in Cain and Abel) is Hawt! Throw in an ex that’s centuries old, a speed dating event and a chance at a new start. With a little help from his mother, he reconnects with Lily. However they are interrupted just as things get hot by news of his ex's plan. Lily steps up and saves the day and Cain. They received the Patriarch's blessing and who the Patriarch was is a surprise.

I loved who it turns out to be. I think I loved the friend of Lily’s more. She is so much a hoot. I loved how these two over come the danger and find true love and happiness.

This is another fantastic addition to this series by these amazing authors and this is Cain’s turn at speed dating but he isn’t having any luck he’s just not interested in the women until Lily a witch sits down while she’s on a break, they hit it off right away then Lily leaves so Cain gets help from his mother to find her but Cain’s ex is interfering and now Lily’s life is in danger so can Cain keep Lily safe?. I loved this story and the characters and I highly recommend this book.

This was a fantastic story. Cain had been at the DeLux Cafe speed dating event for 3 weeks but with no luck. When he sits down with Lily, who was on a break and mistakenly sat at a speed dating tablet, his luck Chance. She is his mate! The story had danger, intrigue, suspense, a totally mad and vengeful ex wife, hot, steamy scenes, amazing chemistry and a wonderful HEA! Absolutely amazing 5 star read.

DeLux speed dating has a new customer taking part, Cain. He's been going for the last few weeks and nothing. Just when he wants to give up he meets Lily. I love that they didn't just hop into bed. Spending time together, getting know each other is a much better storyline. It's a short story but Lily and Cain just worked together as a match. This was a great book and I love the series.

The reads in this series are each written by a different author. Cain and Lily's story is a cute tale of being in the right place at the right time. I love that there is an interesting twist to Cain's story. A fun escape to the DeLux Cafe'. Highly recommended!.

The legend of Cain precedes him; he is at the speed dating event once again and is miserable. He meets Lily, a witch, and is smitten. When his mother sends him on an errand, he sees her and asks her out. He works for an assassin group as an enforcer. His ex is mad at him and wants to see him. When they discover a hit is put out on them, Lily and Cain escape to a quiet place; only Lily has a plan that will hopefully save the both of them since they are meant for one another. What will occur?

Cain and his little witch

This go round the staff accidentally gets drawn into the speed dating. Cain was striking out for the third week in a row. But fate stepped in by chance. While Lily was on her break she bumped into Cain. Even though it was a quick courtship there was plenty of hot sex and off the charts chemistry. I liked the assassin guild twist. I hope we learn more about it in future books.

The author has taken us to the Underworld to spend time with demons, witches, vampires and wizards. The story pulls us into the lives of Cain and Lily after they meet at a speed dating event. The story keeps us turning the pages with fear, danger and love.

This is such a good addition to a fun, lighthearted series. Cain struggles with people and has to deal with his parents trying to force him back into dating. Lily is not looking for romance either. Tons of action and intrigue, backstabbing anf betrayal. I loved the strength of character that Lily has, and her fierce independance. Entertaining read.

This is the first book I have read in this series.
Even though it book eight I had no trouble with
what the plot was because they seem to be standalone
reads.
The only fault with this book was it seem to be a little
short.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun quick read giving a romance to one of the most notorious characters. I really enjoyed his story here, how he met Lily, and how they connected. Of course there is danger and some drama. I loved the characters. Another great addition to a fun and interesting series. 5 stars.
