I love it when a story involves the “forever” bachelor; how will the author turn this guy around? For Tristan, it is a little more complicated as the “one” is his best friend's sister. Kendra is getting out of a bad situation, needs to heal, and has a few other curveballs. The progression of their relationship is hard to put down.
This story had my attention from page one, I love The Shockwaves found family and have enjoyed all the books to date.

A Real Stand-Up Guy
Tristan and Kendra’s story was one of those sweet, heartfelt romances that left me swooning and so happy that this couple received their HEA. When Kendra needed help the most it was Tristan who stepped up and eventually their friendship turned into so much more. This is so worth the read when you are looking for that special feel-good book.

This book was just too cute! 😍
Tristan & Kendra have known each other for years. Tristan has been best friends with Kendra’s brother, but never saw Kendra as more than his friends little sister. It isn’t until a horrible event happens to Kendra (check TW/CW), that Tristan comes to her rescue. He helps her through her healing and setting her up in a new life. As that happens, they find themselves blurring lines with their feelings. They have this connection that they can’t hold back anymore. When they give in, it’s 🔥. Their connection is perfect. What started out as something out of convenience, turns into so much more. ❤️
I loved reading this book and learning about Kendra’s journey with Tristan. I also loved that there was no third act breakup! It was perfect! 🥰

When Tristan’s best friend calls in a panic, he rushes to be by his and his sister’s side. And even though he’s had a crush on Kendra the entire time he’s known her, this is more than that. Without hesitation, he becomes her rock. Her safe space. Her sturdy support system. And he never hesitates, never falters. He always made sure to give her space, and room to grow and heal at her own pace. I loved their bond. It was so special, and I felt it all the way to my soul. He helped Kendra feel loved, appreciated, worshiped, supported. And that was before sexual feelings were ever involved! But when they were, everything intensified! I loved that they both realized the shift in their friendship at about the same time. Her brother (and all of Tristan’s village) is very aware of his and Kendra’s feelings for each other, no matter how much they deny it. But they are grown adults that can make their own decisions, and at the end of the day, they are 100% supportive of that. And they are definitely grown adults, making very good, very sexy, decisions. A future with Kendra doesn’t scare Tristan in the least bit. Not having her part of his future does though. That third act was perfect. But you bet your ass I was in panic mode for the last 30% of the book!

Into this tried and true storyline comes an utterly delicious hero and his friends to lovers romance with a woman needing a safe place to heal. In a story that takes readers to some rather low lows, readers will also find themselves charmed and with a heart teeming with happiness as the heroine slowly makes a life for herself and on her own terms.
Tristan Henderson's always enjoyed the life of a hockey star, enjoyed the puck bunnies and the endless parties. To the outside world he's an athletic playboy, a playa happy to keep playing. But behind his carefree facade was a man just waiting to claim the woman who's always owned his heart. The moment she calls him is the moment his life changes irrevocably, the moment he offers his heart and soul to Kendra...offers her forever if she's ready to take it in an emotional journey of friends to something vastly more. Tristan was a delightful hero, one who would do anything to help the woman who needs a place to heal and start over. He gives her a safe place to land, unconditional support and friendship, never pushing her to label the changing emotional threads between them. His words and deeds to Kendra warmed my heart early on before slowly becoming more sensual in a relationship that became empowering to her. His connection to her child was also endearing in scenes that showed an even more supportive side to him.

Finding out she's pregnant, and needing a safe place far away from the painful relationship she fell into, she makes a safe haven at Tristan's home. Being with Tristan is a healing time for Kendra, an empowering time where he supports her unconditionally. Slowly but surely their relationship evolved into something truly beautiful, something heartfelt and inspiring.
On a whole this was a quick read with a couple you root for from start to finish. The hero feels like a knight in shining armor in his early dealings with Kendra before becoming the supportive and loving friend she needs. Kendra may be down at the beginning, but she's not out when she comes to Tristan's home to start over. Through Tristan's support, and through the support of the wives of other Shockwaves players, Kendra is able to make a life for herself and new baby. It's a feeling of warmth between these characters, a bond that enriches this story. With each turn of the page this story gives readers a bit of everything...it gives you unwavering friendship, the joy of newfound love, and a couple who crafted a family of their own making. Another installment in the San Francisco Shockwaves series means another delightful main couple and an immensely satisfying HEA that has a smile still on my face.

But when his childhood best friend calls him in need of help for his sister, Tristan drops everything to fly back home. Kendra has always been in his life, and he’s always wanted to protect her. He offers her a safe place to start over after being hurt by her ex and finding out she’s pregnant. It was supposed to be an escape for Kendra, but Tristan is seeing how well she fits into his life. He breaks all his rules for her. Can he convince her that he’s changed what he wanted in life or is he always going to be seen as the non committing type?
Kendra: Bruised and broken. Pregnant. Fresh start. Kendra was finally able to leave her abusive ex, but not before he did his worse damage. She’s pregnant, lost and needs to find her place in life. She takes her brother’s best friend up on his offer to go cross country with him and escape the mess she found herself in. Tristan has always been there for her but something shifts the more time they spend together. He’s helping her through her pregnancy and this new endeavor. Can she really get a life she’s happy with or is everything temporary with an expiration date just like their marriage?
I liked this book and I’m really enjoying this series. This friend group is awesome and I love all the support and hype they give each other. I wish there was more between Tristan and Kendra at the early stages with the baby and her brother Jackson visiting with his girlfriend to see those interactions. Other than that, a quick enjoyable read. TW: history of abuse, speak of sexual assault. Neither on page.

Having read Ryker and Aiden i've been looking so forward to more from this series! As soon as this third installment was announced i wanted to read it. I picked it up and got right back into the San Francisco Shockwaves world. I so enjoyed this story!
Tristan and Kendra's journey was quick to capture my attention! Tristan is a hockey player for the San Francisco Shockwaves. He receives a troubling call from his best friend, Jackson asking him to come to Boston to help him with his sister, Kendra. Tristan offers to help Kendra and let her stay with him back in California. As these two are brought closer together, can they ignore their feelings?
I got into Tristan and Kendra's story right away. My heart broke for Kendra and all that she'd been through. I was so glad Tristan got right on a plane to go to her. I wasn't sure how they'd tackle their new reality, living together, and their feelings which got me even more into their story. There was such strength to Kendra that i so admired. I adored the way Tristan was caring towards her. The chemistry between Kendra and Tristan was so good! These two had me feeling many things all throughout!
I so enjoyed the close proximity and brother's best friend aspects of this story as well! I was so glad to be back in the San Francisco Shockwaves world and getting to reunite with some familiar faces!
With Tristan, Ms.Lind has created a good read that brought heart and feels! I am so looking forward to diving back into this series with the fourth installment, Damien! ❤️🏒

When he learns that Kendra, the woman he has secretly loved for years, needs a soft and safe place to fall he is the first to step up and offer to be that for her. She has been through the ringer and has a new baby on the way and is completely overwhelmed by it all, but Tristan promises to help her every step of the way... to be the friend she needs... or maybe more?
Every once in a while a story comes along that completely catches you off guard, before you know it's happening the words have taken control and are leading you someplace you don't want to leave. This love story grabbed me from it's opening lines and didn't let go until the last page found me... it was so captivating, raw, and emotional... my heart loved every bit of it. I loved watching these friends stumble into new territory, lift one another up and find the happily ever after they didn't know they needed. It was such a beautifully penned love story, one that I have a feeling will be sticking with me for a while, I just didn't want to let these characters go when the last page came. Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's characters will steal every bit of your heart at first glance!!

This love story grabbed me from it's opening lines and didn't let go until the last page found me... it was so captivating, raw, and emotional... my heart loved every bit of it. I loved watching these friends stumble into new territory, lift one another up and find the happily ever after they didn't know they needed. It was such a beautifully penned love story, one that I have a feeling will be sticking with me for a while, I just didn't want to let these characters go when the last page came. Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's characters will steal every bit of your heart at first glance!!

I purchased this audio book.
I love most books I read by Samantha. The characters are relatable and fun to cheer on or scream at when they are getting in their own way. This book was another great read. I will say the story of Kendra’s abuse. I will say I think there should have been a trigger warning before the book. I say that because it seemed that Kendra’s ex beat her up but then later in the story, she says there were 3 men involved in her assault. I don’t have issues or triggers but that could affect some people since it seemed just domestic and then turned out to be a bit more. They don’t elaborate on it but just give a warning.
Kendra has always had a crush on Tristan but he was her brothers bestie and way older then her so why would he pay her any attention. Tristan looked at Kendra but knew his best friend would not be thrilled by the hook up, so he stayed away. However, when Kendra needs a safe place to go, he jumps to help his “family”.
I will say I loved how Kendra and Tristan co-existed in the same space. I loved how encouraging he was to her and helping her get her footing BUT I wish I would have seen more scenes with them falling in love??? I don’t know. There were few good scenes like when they are on the couch hanging out and he is rubbing her feet but that’s about it. I guess I wanted to see more from them. But I did enjoy the story, and I love how it all came to be in the end with their marriage of convenience.

"I am really enjoying this series, and in particular with this book the lack of conflict between the two lead characters. All of that happens at the start of the book between Kendra and what her ex had done, and then Tristan somewhat swoops in like a Knight to help save the day.
What I really liked about these two was how their relationship progressed throughout the book. They have been friends for years and with what happened at the start of the story and now living together, the strong feelings that they have had for each other they finally allow themselves to act on them.

Tristan is a guy we have seen in previous books in the series. He is a huge playboy and enjoys the bunnies shall we say. The book actually opens on that scene, and I did not enjoy that scene. But I will say it's the only scene like that in this entire book.

So he flies to them and he finds Kendra, the little sister of his best friend in very bad shape. She was attacked by her boyfriend and he has been arrested and oh she is pregnant.
Tristan shows us what kind of awesome guy right then when he offers Kendra a safe place and away from the drama of her life. He takes her home and really helps her blossom and she makes friends and even starts her own business. I loved how great Tristan is to her and how he opens his heart, his home and his world to her.

I found this story more about how Kendra grew and changed and really grew up in this book and learned who she was and how to go after what she wants. Kendra & Tristan
First of all, there were some negatives with this story that I wasn't expecting, based on the flow of the first two books in the series. Both Ryker & Aiden I would consider "safe" reads - now OW/OM, no real relationship drama, just stories about couples coming together & working on relationships.
Tristan opens with him in bed with two women after a night of his normal drinking & boinking. I know, storywise, this is to show his development through the story, but it was something I wasn't expecting & didn't like. It's not graphic, just the "morning after" kinda thing, but bothered me enough to mention.
There were also some storyline drops which gave me pause. Not many, just noticeable to me.
Now, for the good! I adore both Kendra & Tristan! They have known each other forever & had mutual, hidden crushes. When she needs help, he steps right in. And tho he doesn't recognize why, exactly, his man whoring days ended as soon as he got on the plane to bring her to Cali.
I love their friendship & how they support each other. Tristan helps her heal, physically and emotionally, and they do get into steamy times after a bit!
I love how Kendra is folded in & builds friendships with Avery & Tori! And the ending is adorable & fantastic!

Tristan is book three in the San Francisco Shockwaves Series and for me this series gets better with every release. Tristan and Kendra’s story is the perfect addition to what is one of my favourite sports romance series. If you love friends to lovers look no further than Tristan because I’m sure like me you will be captivated from the first few pages and there will be no putting down until the final line is read. This book does have some triggers at the beginning so please read the warnings at the start of this beautifully written love story.
Tristan has known Kendra most of her life because she is his best friends sister and he has hidden his feelings because he would never cross a line and risk the friendship but when she needs help he jumps on a plane travels across the country and comes to her rescue. Yup, that’s Tristan. This man LITERALLY dropped everything he was doing to fly across the WHOLE country because Kendra was hurt and in trouble. SWOON. We love a man who would do anything for his girl, no questions asked.
He provided for her, helped her establish her life again after the trauma she’d been through, rubbed her feet after she’d been on them all day.. Tristan just did it all. He had no complaints, because he’s an acts of service kind of man. LOVE THAT.
Kendra took me by surprise with her strength after what she’d been through. She bounced back and really started making something herself, and built herself back up. She did this all while being pregnant..
You catch glimpses of the characters from the previous two books, and while this is a standalone, I would recommend the other two books first so you can follow the timeline.

This book hit me in all my feels. I think this is my favorite book in the series, at least so far.
Tristan seems like the typical player but he also is the kind of friend everyone wants in their life. He’s loyal, steadfast and when the call comes through that his best friend’s sister is in trouble he drops everything to help.
Kendra has been through the mill. Due to impossible circumstances she needs immediate help and attention.
I don’t do spoilers. It ‘s not fair to the author or the reader. What I will say is that sometimes the bigger they are the harder they fall. That has so many meanings and can be taken in so many ways.
This is a beautiful story that will tug at your heartstrings, bring tears to your eyes, for various reasons, big smiles to your face and have you needing to turn on the A.C. One of my favorite aspects of this story is watching the evolution and transformation of both characters.
I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next, because this book certainly veered from her typical style, which I’ve always loved. However, this one struck a major chord with me and she continues to astound me.

Samantha Lind gets a hat trick with book three in the San Francisco Shockwaves series, TRISTAN. In this story, Tristan Henderson is asked by his best friend Jackson Torres to help his younger sister, Kendra. Kendra has been in a toxic relationship and is hospitalized. To top things off, she discovers she is pregnant. Tristan flies to his hometown of Boston. He offers Kendra a fresh start in San Francisco where he plays defense for the Shockwaves, an NHL expansion team. She takes him up on his offer. Now throw in that the two have crushed on each other, never making a move because the other was off limits.
Tristen is a skillfully written and heartfelt read. I appreciated that Kendra and Tristan got this opportunity to be together. Kendra grows stronger and heals physically and mentally. Tristan is best friends with Jackson. After a night of partying, he gets a call from his best friend to say that he needs him. His sister is in the hospital after being abused by her ex. So Tristan suggests Kendra moves to California to stay with him. Good idea or not… Seeing as he has been attracted to her since high school.
Kendra has been through so much and moving might just be the best thing for her right now. Moving in with Tristan might be more than she can handle. As the sexual tension between them is off the charts and maybe he doesn’t want all the drama that she comes with…
These two were just so cute. I loved their story. Kendra went through so much, but she came out so much stronger. Loved that Tristan was all in with Kendra. He gave her a safe place and encouraged her to follow her dream and building her confidence. Loved their story and cant wait for more on this team 😊

While somewhat predictable, Tristan was a super cute best friend's sister/roommate/fake marriage romance. It's low drama, zero angst, and full of steam and sweetness as playboy Tristan falls for his best friend's little sister while giving Kendra a place to recover after she's had a domestic violence (off-page) situation with her ex.
Both Tristan and Kendra have always had feelings for each other, but neither of them ever acted on them. Once she's living as his roommate, it's not long before they give in to those temptations. They start out as a friends-with-benefits fling since their relationship has an expiration date, but it's clear they both want more.
I enjoyed the arc of Tristan's character. The guy we meet 0n Page 1 who gets a phone call that Kendra has been hurt is not the same guy who steps up to be a dad to another man's child at the end of this book. It's sweet, it's moving, and maybe not being able to have Kendra is the reason why Tristan never settled down before he had a chance with her.

Oo this was a sure miss for me.
I couldn't delve into the story. She was brutally attacked by her boyfriend and at one point she states that there were many men at one night and she doesn't even know if the baby is her boyfriend's. To which Tristan reaction is like how much he hates that bastard... that's all and then he starts thinking how hot she is and how much he wants to have sex with her.
The opening scene was also him waking up after a threesome... The eternal bachelor!
Yes he is secretly in love with her, yes he jumps in to help her and even proposes marriage to help her with the financial situation but I think the background story was too brutal to be glossed over like that.
I mean she had been beaten almost to death and after a few weeks of being roommates she gets horny and rushes to her room to take care of it? While Tristan can actually hear everything? (Of course she didn't know it but we could actually "hear" her through Tristan's POV.

5 Star review of Tristan (San Francisco Shockwaves #3) by Samantha Lind
This was a great addition to the San Francisco Shockwaves series. It was an entertaining read that ticked the boxes for me. I enjoy friends to lovers’ stories and quickly became invested in Tristan and Kendra’s story. Be aware that this story may trigger some readers so be prepared and take heed of the trigger warnings before you start.
Tristan has had feelings for Kendra for some time but has always believed he would remain a bachelor. However when Kendra needs his help, he drops everything to be the rock that she needs.
I loved how supportive, protective and caring he was. He gave Kendra the space she needed to heal and was always there when she needed a shoulder to lean on. He was such a totally swoon worthy man who I fell for hard and fast. I admired Kendra she has been through so much yet she is determined to focus on the future.
I loved the development of their relationship as they moved from friends to lovers. There journey was difficult and had challenges but it was heart warming to watch their love develop.
This was a great addition to the San Francisco Shockwaves series. It was an entertaining read that ticked the boxes for me. I enjoy friends to lovers’ stories and quickly became invested in Tristan and Kendra’s story. Be aware that this story may trigger some readers so be prepared and take heed of the trigger warnings before you start.
Tristan has had feelings for Kendra for some time but has always believed he would remain a bachelor. However when Kendra needs his help, he drops everything to be the rock that she needs.
I loved how supportive, protective and caring he was. He gave Kendra the space she needed to heal and was always there when she needed a shoulder to lean on. He was such a totally swoon worthy man who I fell for hard and fast. I admired Kendra she has been through so much yet she is determined to focus on the future.
I loved the development of their relationship as they moved from friends to lovers. There journey was difficult and had challenges but it was heart warming to watch their love develop.

Tristan was a hockey player who never intended to settle down. That all changed when his best friend, Jackson, called him and told him that Kendra (Jackson's sister) was in the hospital. He pretty much dropped everything to be there for Jackson and Kendra to help and support them. Kendra had been abused by her ex and was pregnant. Tristan promtply offered to his house as a place for her to stay.
During that time, Tristan was very helpful and supportive of Kendra. He was so sweet with how he encouraged her to do what she loved and didn't expect anything in return for helping her out. Tristan's friends and teammates were all very kind to Kendra and immediately welcomed her into their group. I thought Kendra was strong as she constantly forged ahead and didn't let her trauma derail her life.
This was such a cute story. Tristan and Kendra both tried to deny their feelings for each other, but there was no drama. I also like how quickly Tristan adapted to sharing his home with someone else and how loved not only Kendra, but her baby as well.

Oh my word, Tristan was so swoony! When his best friend, Jackson, calls after his sister ends up in the hospital, Tristan immediately gets on a flight to be there for both of them, without question. Kendra needs a fresh start, so Tristan offers to take her back to the west coast with him, where she will be far away from her abusive ex who landed her in the hospital. When they find out Kendra is pregnant, he doesn’t let that affect his decision to be there for her. Kendra goes with Tristan, her long time crush, for a fresh start and the two realize their feelings go much deeper than a crush. Tristan was book boyfriend goals. A hot, swoony hockey player who was the rock that Kendra needed. He gave her his strength so she could heal and stand on her own two feet again. He was there for whatever she needed. These two were couple goals! I had not read the other books in this series, but I went back and read them since I enjoyed this book so much! Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Tristan has been living his best life as a bachelor (or so he thought) as he didn't want anything to do with relationships, however, there was a woman he loved named Kendra secretly, but they stayed best friends instead. She calls him needing help, and he dropped everything to do so & thus their journey of real love began. See, Kendra also harbored some secret feelings but again, they didn't muddy the waters by telling each other of said secret feelings. Now she's staying in his house with her unborn baby, and maybe just maybe they'll figure things out. I loved Tristan so much as he was the perfect hero in my eyes, and Kendra was an amazingly strong heroine who has gone through it in life but still kept going. The sparks are definitely flying between them, but can they get out of their own way for a happily ever after?! This story was seriously beautiful & heartwarming so I couldn't get enough! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a very cute story and we really enjoyed it. The cast of characters were great. The story pretty much focused on Kendra's recovery and a revamp of her life and starting over but, also gaining something simply beautiful in the process while doing it.
Got to love a guy like Tristan who was kind and compassionate and loving and a guy who left his playboy life style behind with even a second glance to help and friend and need but, gained something in the process and that was a loving and giving woman who he fell head of heels for as the woman was blessed with kindness and a loving heart.
We enjoyed the slow burn romance between this couple as Kendra's situation really warranted that kind of relationship at first. But, most of all not only did Kendra have Tristan's support but, the support of the Wags as well. Looking for a slow burn book to pass the time with life's little messy bits this book is for you.

This is the third book in the series and boy was it a good one! I couldn't put it down. Tristan and Kendra had me hooked. My heart went out to Kendra. Her is ex is the scum of the earth. Tristan offers for her to come to California with him to get a fresh start. Being roommates creates sizzling sexual tension between the two. Tristan has his playboy ways, but the way he steps up for Kendra will make anyone swoon. When the right woman comes along it can change you for the better, Tristan and Kendra create a pact to pretend, but it's pretty obvious that's not going to stay that way. I love how Tristan's teammates and wives take Kendra under their wing. That made me so happy! There is plenty of feels that made my heart happy sigh, but this book also brings the heat. Kendra and Tristan have burning hot chemistry. The epilogue was the perfect touch to end this book. It left me with a huge smile on my face! This is a must read!
