Love runs deep but hatred runs deeper... It started out as the perfect day. Marrying the man of my dreams in a gorgeous white gown surrounded by the people I love. Then our blissful fairy tale took a very dangerous turn, And ‘happily ever after’ turned into a tangled mess of secrets, lies, and betrayal. Blind trust thrust me into the darkness with no hope of escape. I made a deal with the devil when I agreed to this twisted arrangement. My father-in-law preyed on my fear, shackling me to his corrupt empire. I should have known any hopes and dreams for a future with Massimo would go up in flames. EVIL EMPIRE is the final book in the RUTHLESS REVENGE trilogy by USA Today Bestselling author Kristen Luciani and the conclusion of Massimo and Kristina's story. It's a Forced Marriage, Secret Identity Dark Mafia Romance Saga. The epic family saga ends with a guaranteed HEA in this book.
Publisher's Note: EVIL EMPIRE contains explicit and mature content and graphic violence that some readers might find offensive and/or triggering.
Kristen Luciani is a USA Today bestselling romance author, momtrepreneur, and a beauty product junkie with a penchant for stilettos, Silicon Valley, plunging necklines and grapefruit martinis. As a deep-rooted romantic who prefers juicy drama to fill the lives of anyone other than her, she tried her hand at creating a world of enchantment, sensuality, and intrigue, finally uncovering her true passion. No pun intended…
What a lovely conclusion to this series this was. I was so invested in this series and these characters and I was very much waiting for this book. This book gave me everything I wanted and I really enjoyed it. This book was such a good ending to the trilogy and it was just absolutely lovely.
This book brought all of the stakes and I just loved seeing how our main characters dealt with everything going on in their lives.
And mostly I just loved seeing how happy and in love Kristina and Massimo were. I went on a journey with these characters. And it was definitely worth it to see how their relationship developed over the series.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion
Overall Opinion : Massimo and Kristina are back! I have been waiting for this installment for a long time. This trilogy is good and one of the first books I have read by this author.
I am addicted to the storyline and am always excited for the next part of the series. I am glad that we have a happy ending and the characters get what they deserve and so much more. Massimo and Kristina had a rough start and then an even rougher marriage but then they made it all out somehow.
Definitely recommending this to all the dark romance loving people out there. This one is a good one time read.
I'll start with saying something super important, Evil Empire is the conclusion to Kristina & Massimo's story so YOU MUST READ Killer Kiss (Book 1), and Stolen Soul (Book 2) FIRST AND IN ORDER. See this is a very layered mafia journey with a lot of moving parts, enemies, questionable people, and just an all around crazy ride with the twists coming in hot. All of that is epic but there's also a ton of heat, and even angst in spades as the our couple try to get ahead of those who don't want them together or to uncover secrets & betrayals. I mean, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as I was turning the pages, but honestly, that's all of this author's work since she can pen a story with everything that makes me happy while keeping me guessing. I seriously hope there are a couple of girls who will get their own stories in the future as they only added more perfection to the mix. I'm super glad this explosive conclusion has finally dropped, but I'm also sad because I didn't want it to end LOL! Anyway, I LOVE the brilliant Kristen Luciani's work, and I hope everyone will experience it for themselves as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I'm glad that majority of the people who have read this book loved it. What I'd give to have enjoyed this as much as they did. Evil Empire is the final book and the conclusion to the Ruthless Revenge series. It continues on after its predecessor, Stolen Soul, ended on a cliffhanger. This is the book where Massimo and Kristina's whole journey comes to fruition. It was decently written, and while we get cringe-worthy lines, we also get some surprisingly handful of gems, very much similar to the other two books before it.
The writing wasn't bad, per se, but there was just something about it that tries so hard, to be what exactly, I cannot say. Let's just say that the author has an addiction to using thesaurus but doesn't do justice incorporating the meaning of the word to the context she's written (hello, crocodile tears from book one, Killer Kiss). I'm sorry to say that the writing eclipsed even the supposedly spicy scenes.
The long monologues the characters spoke with to communicate with one another didn't work for me at all; it was exposition done in the cheapest way of telling ad not showing, but only worse because instead of the character mulling it over in the privacy of their thoughts and thus giving the audience the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the character could either be right nor wrong, it was done in a conversation, an elongated explanation of why this and that is like this and that and it was boring and lazy and so hard to read. This "saga" could have been one single book edited with just the right amount of flowery words and it would've been passable.
This final book did have more action in it and was paced faster. That made reading even the cringe-y lines bearable, as one step moving forward chapter after chapter was an uphill battle. It has been a struggle to go through the first book (Killer Kiss), as the story seemed to drag without any payoff even at the end with the drama and the lackluster cliffhanger. The second book has left a bland taste in my mouth just as well even with the more meaty cliffhanger, and this final book was almost at the same level if not for the abundance of event after event playing out, and, of course, finally coming to an end. A futile attempt at keeping the reader interested and engaged until the end of the story, but it helped me finish the book quickly so I'd say it's a win.
I appreciate how the author obviously gave a lot of effort in her writing and in establishing an otherwise sloppy and generic plot, which has nothing special nor extraordinary about it that will separate it from the other mafia books out there. Still, all the trouble was lost when the failures outweigh the successes.
Congratulations to the release of a book, an obvious result of hard work and support of other people, despite not of talent. I'm glad to have discovered a new author and try out her writing. It's not just for me. Maybe it's because I've read much, much better that I just can't handle less anymore.
None stop twists and turns so much threats, and violence, but trying to know who they could trust, and who not to trust, so much planted, lies loved how this book had me hooked, that I couldn't put it down hope that kirstina sisters get a book.

Love this series Love this mafia family Kristina and Massimos twisted dark intense emotional heartstopping love story All the feels Ready for Maxim(luka)
3.75 stars--EVIL EMPIRE is the third and final instalment in Kristen Luciani’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS REVENGE, dark erotic, Mafia series. This is the continuing story focusing on criminal underground heirs Massimo Marrone, and Kristina Ivankov. EVIL EMPIRE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two STOLEN SOUL. The RUTHLESS REVENGE series is set in the author’s RECKLESS REIGN and SINFULLY SAVAGE worlds.Several characters cross over for cohesion and familiarity.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
SOME BACKGROUND: Weeks earlier Kristina’s parents were killed, and Kristina is now the sole heir to her father’s fortune and dynasty but our heroine will quickly discover that all is not as it appears to be within the Ivankov Crime family. Believing she was deceived by her parents, and betrayed by the man with whom she is falling in love, Kristina struggles with her attraction to and need for our story line hero, a man whose demons runs dangerous and dark. Caught between several factions of the criminal underworld, Kristina and Massimo are forced into a marriage not of their making, a marriage that is meant to unite two powerful families for control at the top but our couple battle between head and heart to trust anyone connected to the Leota Commission, a group of connected underworld families vying for leadership, money and control.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Massimo and Kristina) EVIL EMPIRE continues to focus on uncovering the truth. Massimo Marrone’s father Savio Marrone wants it all including the Ivankov dynasty, all of its’ holdings, and the seat at the top of the Leota Commission. To push for control, Savio continues to control a dangerous game of power, murder, and destruction targeting anyway remotely connected to both Massimo and Kristina. Forced into marriage, Massimo and Kristina struggle to trust family and friends, acquaintances and the people in charge, as murder and mayhem quickly follow anyone who tries to help or is connected to our story line couple. Knowing the answer to their problems may be found within Kristina’s father’s business files, our couple find themselves facing a potential storm of secrets and lies that threaten any sense of well being and peace for now or in the future, as well as the advice and warnings from a mystery person who claims to be helping at every turn. Caught between his father’s wrath, the Mexican Cartel, the Irish Mob and the Russian Bratva, Massimo must call in help, help that threatens everyone involved. Needing to remove the head of the proverbial snake, Massimo places himself in the direct line of fire, as betrayal and deception give way to heart break and loss.
EVIL EMPIRE is an age gap, forced marriage, dark, violent Mafia romance series focusing on power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and desperation , life, love, death and destruction. The relationship between Massimo and Kristina continues to be highly sexual, erotic and obsessive. Most, if not all, of the previous story line characters play a significant role in this particular instalment with the return of Kristina’s sisters Sofia and Maria; Massimo’s business partner Patty Mulligan and his wife Kyla; Quinn Mulligan; Massimo’s childhood best friend Joey, Joey’s sister Cari, and their parents Teresa and Dino; Gemma and Ronin Valenti; Dante Villani; Matteo and Heaven; and Massimo’s father, mob boss Savio Marrone. The requisite evil has many faces. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Kristina’s sisters.
EVIL EMPIRE is a heart breaking and emotional story line; the characters are broken, desperate , charismatic and lost; the romance is seductive and provocative.
Kristen Luciani hit the nail on the head with this series again! "Evil Empire" is the third book in the "Ruthless Revenge" trilogy and the second series I have read by her. The first was the "Reckless Reign" trilogy featuring Kyla and Patty's story. This trilogy gives us Massimo and Kristina's story. You must read this trilogy in order, or nothing will make sense.
"Evil Empire" is a high-impact, high-heat (eyeball sweating) mafia mystery/romance that will keep you guessing until the last word in the final chapter. Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how much your heart can handle), Luciani has a way of penning her story arcs where the reader could think they have the mystery figured out. But then another kink or wrench gets thrown into the mix, and there's a whole new mystery to unfold. There were so many times when I was sure I had figured out the story's direction, and then another unknown happened, causing me to rethink everything.
The third installment of the "Ruthless Revenge" trilogy picks up once again after a heart-pounding cliffhanger in the second installment. Massimo and Kristina head towards their happily ever after, whether by choice or forcefully, and Kristina is missing. Massimo is worried she isn't going to show up when he receives a highly unsettling "gift." This final installment starts right after this disturbing event, and all of the plotlines begin to unravel. The reader discovers the identity of the person trying to kill them and ruin Kristina’s newly inherited empire. I can gladly say with satisfaction that they meet their demise. We also get another welcome surprise that will make saving their lives so much more important.
The author admittedly got the drop on me with one big secret about Kristina’s father. Sadly, I believed, just as Kristina did, that he was doing horrible things, and it turns out some of them weren’t true. So I thank the author for setting that straight.
This installment had so many highs and lows that I can’t really pick one that I can hone in on. Some unsavory characters met their end (thank you!), but some people died that I wish hadn’t, which made me sad. Overall, the conclusion was well done.
Something else that Luciani, similar to other authors who also write multi-part trilogies, does as well is pull in past characters and storylines from their previous story arcs. I realize quite a bit of this is about marketing and enticing readers to purchase their other works. However, I love these characters so much and hate to see their stories end - it makes me SO happy to be able to read about their continued lives and interaction with the new characters. We met Massimo in the "Ruthless Revenge" trilogy, where Luciani introduced the reader to this fierce, silent man with dark eyes and an intense need to protect the people he cares about. He was part of Patty Mulligan and Kyla's story, and now they are part of his. The reader gets a view into the lives of past characters and how they have grown into their lives.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who read and loved the "Reckless Reign" trilogy and anyone who enjoys a good mafia romance. It's dark in the sense that Kristina and Massimo are in a fight for their lives, but the romance aspect isn't dark. It's gritty and hot and so worth it. Enjoy!
Look, when I first received a free ARC of Evil Empire, I really, really wanted to love it. I was looking forward to reading the series and it sounded very good, based on the blurb and other reviews.
It just couldn't live up to my expectations.
Once again, a majority of this book is chunks of emotion and description in someone's monologue. And it trades off, too. Massimo goes on a rant/tangent about his backstory and his childhood and then Kristina steps in with either a rage- or fear-filled paragraph or two. It's so much crammed into one speech bubble with a bunch of details missing. A character moves, talks for what might be two minutes straight, and then moves again. It feels disjointed and like puppeteering, almost, with how stilted the dialogue and descriptions are.
Not only that, but these paragraphs of dialogue or internal monologues interrupt many things that should preferably be left alone. Halfway through one of the spicy scenes, Massimo goes down the rage-y rabbit hole about his father, completely throwing off the scene for me.
And for people who have so much to say, I noticed quite a few sentences practically copy-pasted from previous chapters. They gave me a sense of deja vu that also jarred me from what was going on.
I liked Massimo at first, especially in the first one, but his whole apology act was annoying. I can't recall a time when he actually said he was sorry - only that an apology wouldn't be enough or he had apologized a million times. And each time an opportunity presented itself for him to say the words, he lashed out and attacked the other person. It was very frustrating, and I'm not sure if Luciani was trying to make him seem like his dad or what, since that whole situation (if Massimo had more than his father's blood in his veins or not) was never resolved.
All the important information that the characters had to know fell right into Kristina and Massimo's laps. Every time. Someone else comes swooping in to save the day with some sort of information or clue they needed since they could never piece things together themselves. It made the book sluggish because neither character did anything other than talk until someone else presented what they were looking for or pushed the plot along.
This whole trilogy could have been one book. The first one was much better and more interesting and the other two became more drawn-out and revolved around unnecessary conversations. I think the Ruthless Revenge series would have been much more entertaining if it were just one book.
What an exciting, action-packed, death-defying end to this trilogy. I was amazed that the author could pack so much into the story. Massimo and Kristina really came into their own and took names and kicked butt or shot people to survive an attack. The puzzle pieces were unimaginably coming together. But Kristina had to constantly cool Massimo down from his fury against his father. There were a few threads that I feel were left undone. The mysterious man that was cryptically contacting Kristina, I never understood what part of the states or maybe even out of the country he worked out of. He also divulged that he had a family to look after too. But in the end, well he was ended and that was all there was about him. Joey also surprised me with his hostility, anger and dare I say hatred towards Massimo. When Dino, Joey's dad saved Massimo, things became clearer. Joey had told Massimo to take care of his family. But after that the story never said how he was going to help the proud Dino, his daughter and wife. Kristina truly was the voice of reason for Massimo. Massimo took responsibility for far too much that he had no control over. Kristina was there to talk to him and give him a different perspective that he had not thought of. They made a good team. I did not realize the far, far, far reach the desperate devil who was behind all the danger and deaths had. And when he was exposed, I thought to myself "dang he really was out there on the edge of insanity". But the epilogue was a very satisfying end to this trilogy. I highly recommend it. A great story. A must read.

Reasons I enjoyed this book: Action-packed Page Turner Realistic Romantic Scary Steamy Tragic Unpredictable Wonderful Characters
Evil Empire is the final installment in the Ruthless Revenge Trilogy Series. The stunning conclusion of Kristina and Massimo story. It's an Age Gap Trope, Secret Identity Dark Mafia Romance Saga, Forced Marriage. The epic family saga ends in this book with a HEA. This series was phenomenal, twisted and decadent. The story is revenge driven with lots of manipulations, betrayal, murder, bloodshed, hatred, violence, drama, danger, enemies, lies, deception, secrets, power, anger, survival, control, greed, obsession, mob war, blackmail, anger, twist and turns revenge, family issues, trust issues, passion, and love. Massimo and Kristina chemistry are sexually charge, sexplosive, intense and libidinous. We got answers to questions from the previous stories that were needed to tie everything together. All books are interconnected as other characters made appearance. Evil Empire is a raw, and gut wrenching story of two wounded soul who are fighting tooth and nail all faces of evil to carve out a piece of happiness for each other. This was one exhilarating rollercoaster ride of action, mystery, suspense, all leading up to one climatic showdown. The characters were compelling, broken merciless and complex. The story was beautifully written and utterly addictive and flows seamlessly and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Whew! The conclusion to this series is just as entertaining and addictive as the ones before. (More so, if that's even possible.) As I said in my past reviews of this series, it is in your best interest to read Patty and Kyla’s stories first, so the subtleties in this one make sense. Totally worth the time. A great many characters and families make appearances across the stories, so knowing the connections and backstories is (IMHO) important.
The frustration I felt at the cliffhanger ending of Stolen Soul (that was pure torture, BTW) is forgiven as the first few chapters kick this one off beautifully. This continues all the family/friend drama, as well as betrayals and suspense present in books one and two, and I found myself lost in these pages, and these characters. Soo good!
This story is extremely suspenseful and has what we need and want in a Mafia/Bratva read: >Smokin’ hot, unapologetically rough, capable and demanding men…who love fiercely and protect their family and friends. (I mean, who doesn’t want that? *wink*) >Strong, resilient, smart and gorgeous women who partner with their men. (love it!) >Guns, betrayals, violence, kidnapping, unknown enemies, syndicates, drama and more! (yes, please!) The chemistry between Kristina and Massimo is absolutely nuclear. I have always enjoyed the chemistry between the characters from this talented author, but this specific couple is super steamy together. There are so many things to enjoy in this read, it’s hard for me to pin down my favorite. My recommendation is to plan your reading time accordingly, as this is terribly difficult to put down once you start.
I am so conflicted emotionally right now. Glad to have their HEA (finally), but sad to have to say goodbye to these characters for now! I am VERY tempted to re-read from the start of all of it (Screwing the Mob) just to get more time in this well crafted world.
Obviously, I am a fan of this author, and I strongly recommend reading her other offerings and series (in order – of course). I feel she is one of the best Mafia/Bratva writers on the market today. Her works are always a “one-click” buy for me, and I eagerly look forward to her future endeavors and creativity.
I received an ARC of this, and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Evil Empire is the third and final installment in the Ruthless Revenge Trilogy and must be read after books #1 & #2. The book picks exactly where the second one left, Massimo and Kristina's wedding day and all that followed sfter that massive kidnapping. As Kristen got as used to, this final account develops and warpps around Mas and Kris' life as couple and where everything comes to frution. Action, gore, mayhem, brutal lies and shocking truths, deceit, betrayal, drama galore are more than ever part of this explosive cocktail of hidden agendas, past actions and unsuspected enemies, revelations, fevenge and tragedy, all well enveloped by the powerful love and steamy affection of these two very mated souls. With a lot on his hands, trying to aknowledge where the bullets are coming from as well as fighting in every direction, Massimo is on the edge, stessed, exhausted and would be completely out of his mind if it weren't for Kris' support and voice of reason, the words that keep the beast at bay and bring the man its rightful humanity. Yes, Kris and Mas, with all they went through, found each other because it was meant to be and that's why they slayed the demons, defeated the devil and won the utmost battle!. All in all, it was another great adventure in this chaotic and suspenseful world Kristen has been presenting us with! THE END!
Kristen just blew the finale of Mas and Kristi’s book ou of the water. Everything is tied up perfectly. There are so many twists and shocking truths exposed. Mas and Kristi know exactly who they can and can not to trust, but there are still others out there who they don’t know if they should trust them. There is deceit, action, lies, secrets, revelations and some hot and steamy moments. This series has just hooked me from the start and I was so excited when I got this book and was glued to my seat while reading it. I have loved Mas and Kristi’s story so much and can’t wait to read Kristen’s next story. Buckle up, you’re in for a fun and wild ride. Kristi: ‘There has to be a light at the end of this dark and dingy tunnel. I just have to bide my time until I can see it shine on my future.‘ Mas: ‘“I thought I knew what I wanted for my life and my future. I didn’t want a commitment or a family. I didn’t think I could be that guy. I was vengeful and vindictive and didn’t have anything to offer. Then you tripped and dropped that cake, and when you landed in my arms…” I shake my head. “Everything changed for me. You changed my mind about what I wanted and what I needed.”’
Evil Empire is the highly satisfying final book of the Ruthless Revenge series and picks up right from the cliffhanger at the end of book two, Stolen Soul. Massimo is a man on the edge. He is trying to protect the people he cares about and find a way to defeat Savio once and for all but he always seems to be fighting a losing battle. By his side is Kristina, his strong, supportive, loving partner. Their steamy romance is front and center even while battling enemies coming at them from all directions.
This riveting conclusion to Kristina and Massimo's story is exciting, dramatic, and suspenseful. I love the characters. They have incredible passion for each other (as evidenced by the frequent and smoking hot love scenes) and great love and protectiveness for their family and friends. Having binge reread books one and two before this one, I feel like the whole thing could have been tightened up a bit but it's still a great story and I can't wait to read whatever comes next from this amazing author.
I received a fee copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’m sad to see this series end as I have enjoyed reading the all about Massimo’s and Kristina’s adventures, arguments, passion and trails! I am addicted to Kristen Luciani’s books and I have not been disappointed by any so far!
This picks up right where Stolen Soul left off – it’s Massimo’s and Kristina’s wedding day and all the women have been kidnapped on the way to the venue. From there, all you have is drama, deception, betrayals, lies, secrets and lots and lots of steamy scenes! Massimo is still dealing with the part he played in Dino’s accident (Joey’s father) and the fact that Joey somehow must know what is going on because his attitude towards Massimo has changed. Along the way we find out a few revelations about what is really going on, revenge is taken, and tragedy strikes. Great story from beginning to end, and I was drawn in from the beginning! I look forward to see what comes next from this author!

Holy smokes Book 3 in this Ruthless Revenge series had so many twists and turns! It definitely had me reading quickly and on the edge of my seat!!
Mass and Kristina, although forced into a marriage through Mafia and power hunger, these two actually fell in love and are about to get married. That is, until everything evil hit the fan! Kristina never wanted to be a mafia wife, however, here we are. She feels as though she is always looking for her parents killer and has a target on her back. She's made new friends since she's been with Mass and Gemma is one of them that Mass is very skeptical of. Being a mafia wife is a far cry from her wanting to be a doctor, can she handle it?
This story is very detailed and you must follow along closely because it moves quickly! I love revisiting with characters from previous books in this series! Gotta say Patty was one of my favorites! I'm not a fan of cliff hanger books, but when the last book ties everything up in a neat little package with everything I wanted to happen, it was well worth it!

OMG!! I absolutely loved this book it was amazing, the author Kristen Luciani has done a brilliant job with bringing the characters to life. Page one held me up as hostage I couldn't move from my seat, I went thirsty because my eyes was so glued to the pages. There was so much going on in this story like the action, suspense, violence, murder, struggles, turmoil, kidnapping, drugged, enemies, anger, fear, secrets, lies, jealousy, twist and turns, chaos, courage, strength, compassion, intrigue, friendships, healing, happiness, passion, lust, romance, harmony and love. It was the happiest day for Massimo and Kristina until Kristina missed her own wedding and it went wrong, Massimo received a box with her ring on a finger, danger was around every corner will they be able to find her aswell as the bridesmaid's will they be alive or dead. I suggest you buy the book so you can find out for yourself. I loved it.

3.5 stars. The editing was better and the author used less clichéd phrases, though a few chapters from Kristina's POV still got melodramatic at times. I also knew to lower my expectations of Kristina, so she didn't disappoint me as much as in the previous book. While in the epilogue she talks about future career goals, I highly doubt she will have the motivation to achieve them despite Massimo's support. I also rolled my eyes at the first Fire and Ice scene-- once again, they are easily distracted from their mission. Um, if that's the case, they should really visit when the club is closed. For supposedly smart characters, they both make some really dumb choices. And there were some details that might contradict earlier books, but I'm not invested enough to reread earlier books to check. There were some good action scenes and some of my favourite characters from other books make an appearance. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I could not wait until this book came out and it did not disappoint. I for sure did not see that ending coming! Reading how this story unfolds; how friendships come together showing that blood is not always thicker than water. Kristina and Massimo transform into the team we’ve always wanted but that they always needed just as their support team grows almost as much as their enemies. They work together to protect their love, each other and the people that mean the most to them never failing to hold each other up and keep each other focused; even when they feel like the world around them is crumbling because of them. The spiciness and fire between them sizzles off the pages almost to the point you can feel the static their electricity causes.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just like books 1 & 2, book 3 definitely didn’t disappoint. Right from start, the action picks up from book 2, and doesn’t stop until the end.
🖤🖤🖤
I love how much Mas loves Kristina, and will do anything to protect their family and friends. The chemistry between Kristina and Massimo is absolutely off the charts sizzling. Kristina is absolutely perfect for Massimo, they balance each other out. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was so happy to finally see these two get married and have their daughter! They finally get their HEA.
🥰🥰🥰
I hate to say goodbye. But this was an amazing ending to the Ruthless Revenge trilogy series! Kristen Luciani does not disappoint!
This is the concluding part to this amazing series of books from this author. This is the continued story of Massimo and Kristina, these two characters are so amazing together. This final part of the story is filled with action, drama, mystery, hot and steamy and fantastic characters. Once you start this book you won’t want to put it down and will be reading long into the night. Another fantastic addition to this already incredible series from this author.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review
MASSIMO AND KRISTINA ARE BACK! I don't know of anything I can say that will do this book or this series real justice but I'll give it a shot. Massimo and Kristina's story has to be one of the very best I've read. This author brings it EVERY single time and there's never a disappointment. Evil Empire is the conclusion of their story and this book is just as captivating and addictive as Killer Kiss and Stolen Soul. There's a bit of everything you can imagine incorporated into this story and it demands your attention from the first to the last pages. Although I really hate to see their story end, I'm excited to see where this author takes us next. Well done Ms. Luciani!
The conclusion to Massimo and Kristina's story. We've watched the relationship grow from the beginning, through all the ups and downs, the crazy and the chaos of the life that was thrown at both of them. Through it all, they've learned that they can count on the other even when that little voice in the back of their minds was making them think twice. There were many things that needed tying up before the end and through a quick paced final part of the trilogy, the author keeps us on our toes and feeds us all the things we need regarding the suspense, betrayals and drama. Now my only question is are we going to get more from the sisters?
Evil Empire is book three of the ‘Ruthless Revenge’ trilogy and sees the conclusion of Massimo and Kristina’s story. I loved this trilogy and how Ms Luciani brings to life her characters. The story has many twists and turns, drama and betrayal and steamy scenes that will leave you panting.
This is a really great age-gap, forced marriage, dark Mafia romance that is well written and well worth a read. It has a wonderful, satisfying HEA after all the angst the characters have experienced throughout the trilogy. Loved it, and can’t wait for more from this author.

I finally finished this book and series. I really, really, really wanted to love this series and this book but it just didn’t happen. I’ve loved most of what Kristen has written so far, but there was just something about this couple and their storyline that i just didn’t care for. It had it’s moments. I still really enjoyed this mafia world and the connection with the other couples from Luciani’s books, and I just enjoyed the concept. But the couple’s chemistry just seemed off and I think because of that I found myself skipping over the spicy scenes. It was all just okay. Not my favorite couple and I probably wouldn’t read this one again. Still worth a once over though if you’re a mafia romance fan.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Evil Emprie is the third and last book in the Ruthless Revenge trilogy and continues the story of about Kristina Ivanko and Massimo Marrone. This book picks up from the cliffhanger ending of Stolen Soul and the twists, betrayals, danger, mystery, and suspense continues. But the good thing is that finally our couple learn how to be together in all senses of the word. Once they do though watch out as they are unstoppable and will rule their world, together.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own
This is the third and bittersweet conclusion off Massimo and Kristina’s journey. These two complement each other perfectly, and with truths being exposed, they do not know who can be trusted, and who cannot. This is a well written story which is filled with secrets, lies, betrayal, twists, intrigue, suspense, action, deceit, revelations, and love, which leads to a steamy and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend, I received a free copy of this book via Give Me Books and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It’s the finale to Massimo and Kristina story. So much has gone bad for these two in all three of the books that it looks like there was no way out. I was started to think there wasn’t going to be a happy ending. I am so glad for their connection just wish M would open up more and K wouldn’t be so dramatic so of the time. I do feel that this story dragged on and then all at once it came with all these answers in a short period of time.
What was supposed to be the happiest day of Massimo and Kristina’s lives takes a dramatic turn and it will certainly be unforgettable just not in the way they expected. Secrets will be exposed, and surprises will be revealed as they try to find out who is friend and who is foe before it is too late.
The heat between them radiates off the page and the suspense keeps you on edge as Massimo and Kristina prove that together they can overcome anything and anyone.
