You can read all of my reviews at Nerd Girl Loves Books.

This was a cute and sexy contemporary romance set in the Scottish Highlands. Charlie left the army for his married girlfriend, who eventually dumped him for her husband. He's estranged from his family, floundering at his new job and decides to head to the Highlands to help his best friend protect Kinloch castle from a crazy film crew. The last thing he needs or wants is a romantic entanglement.

Valentina is a child star with her entire family depending on her. Despite her gorgeous looks and talent, she doesn't feel like she's really lived. Arriving in Scotland to film a movie, the last thing she wants is any complications. When Charlie and Valentina meet, the sparks fly. Charlie suggests Valentina capture her teenager years by partaking in some teenage rights of passage, like writing a bad love poem, skinny dipping and staying up all night to watch the sunrise. Valentina eagerly agrees and the more the couple get to know each other, the more the chemistry heats up. But is this just a fling, or the beginning of a lasting relationship?

Let me just say, the chemistry between Valentina and Charlie was FIRE. I loved how they interacted together and the cute banter they exchanged was adorable to read. It was great to see Valentina finally relax and start to live a little, and it was wonderful to see Charlie start to examine his past and start to build bridges back to his family and heal old wounds. The minor characters added some comic relief and I definitely need to go back and read the first two books because I'm dying to find out how Rory and Zoe got together. While this is book 3 of the series, and I haven't read any of the previous books, this book can be read as a stand alone.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Kate Rock Book Tours and the author. All opinions are my own.

Kissing Games is book 2 of the Kinloch series by Evie Alexander. A standalone, rom-com, told from both points of view with a happy ending.

✔️ Forced proximity
✔️ Cinnamon roll hero
✔️Opposites attract

Rising movie star Valentina Valverde has been working hard since she was a teen with a single minded determination to achieve her goal. Not even the super sexy Charlie Hamilton who’s resolute on making her smile and live life to its fullest would deter her.

Charlie and Valentina seem like an odd couple. Different cultures, different life goals, different personalities. He’s made some iffy life choices; she’s been 100% focused. But the essence of them is very similar. Caring, protective, loyal and they bring out the best in each other.

I loved the banter and humor of their flirty jar challenges combined with the heartfelt confessions. Charlie and Valentina, along with the wonderful supporting characters were easy to love and get invested in. Because who doesn’t love sweet meddling grandmothers and wonderful fur buddies like Bandit and Dave!

And last, but certainly not least, Evie Alexander’s Sex index. Read the book to the very end to find out more about this! Kissing Games is fun and entertaining, lighthearted with lots of heart.

I’m loving this series and though this is written with the British sense of humour I found it bloody funny I loved the characters Valentina an actress and Charlie a bodyguard, their chemistry is 🔥, their banter is funny I loved them both even though they are trying to fight their demons. The last two books have the same characters now there are new characters and chuckle worthy moments so do yourself a favour and find out for yourself. This is a wonderful, entertaining and fantastic story I loved it and I definitely recommend this book/ series.

Humor, Heart, and Heat in the Highlands...

This book has it all and was so much fun to read I could not put it down. Although Charlie and Valentina could have been the stereotypical "bodyguard and actress", they both had so much more depth and were so well written that I loved their flirting, banter and that they were able to open up to each other and reveal their more tortured pasts. I also love when the main characters relationship brings out the best in each other and ends up making them better off and happier in the end (once they finally realize this and get there of course, which is most of the fun). And while all of this is happening they generated all kinds of steam and heat. To add to the readers' pleasure and laughs, the story takes place in the fantastic Kinloch Castle while the farcical "Braveheart 2" is being filmed with the looniest cast ever imagined. This book is part of a series and the background characters do repeat and appear in the other stories but can fully be read as a standalone. That said the entire series is wonderful, and all of the books are available in KU if you have it so I do recommend reading the series in order if possible. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This is the third in the Scotland-based Games series and has just as much humour, heat and heart as its predecessors. The story of Charlie and Valentina takes place at the same time as Hollywood Games, during the filming of Braveheart 2 at Kinloch; although initially they seem like an unlikely match, with completely different backgrounds and motivations, they have a surprising amount in common.

Charlie is an amazing character, so much more than a pretty face, with a self-deprecating sense of humour and a turn of phrase that made me giggle. Valentina is a dynamo, strong and single-minded, unsure what to make of this man who determinedly infiltrates her life. I love the way they bring out the best in each other, crackling banter developing into flirty challenges and then heartfelt confessions. As for their mutual attraction... well, phew! Steam a-plenty.

As ever with this series, there's a powerful supporting cast: we see a strong friendship between Rory from the first two books and Charlie, and the cameos from Charlie's sister and Valentina's grandmothers are a delight. The story plays out in a way that's perfect for the characters, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.

There was a lot to enjoy in this book. Charlie and Valentina are among the most wholesome book couples in the world. Although the romance and the attraction were insta, their meet-cute was charming and swoon-worthy.

Short Summary:

Valentina is a Hollywood actress heading to Scotland for her new movie.

"Despite having a job that required her to be the center of attention, she had never before felt so seen. It was as if he saw her as a person and a woman. "

And Charlie is a bodyguard, irritated with his life and everything around him, heading to Scotland to help his friend save his castle from the Hollywood crew.

Both of them have a lot of past issues which they need to recognize and tackle. Will one person bring out the best in the other?

"Being with him was like discovering your house had gold under the floorboards and fairies in the attic."

Pacing and Writing : Despite the fact that it can be read as a stand-alone, which is what I did, this is the third novel in the Kinloch series. We are given the opportunity to read from both of the characters' perspectives, which I believe is essential for me to enjoy a romance. Although it moves along smoothly most of the time, I thought it dragged a little bit at the conclusion. Additionally, the entire experience would have been more fantastic if the tale had more structure.

Characters and chemistry: Oh, the spice was there! Their chemistry practically sprang off the page. Despite the romance being a little insta, I still found their connection to be enjoyable.
Both Charlie and Valentina were relatable; their issues and difficulties in life made them more realistic and empathic. I loved this aspect of the story. My favorite part was reading about them dealing with their families and responsibilities.

In my classic style, I jumped into this series, having not read the first two books. But it didn’t take away from my enjoyment! I quickly fell in step with these characters and loved them.

Charlie is an ex-soldier who has just lost his bodyguard job and has been informed his long-time love is pregnant with another man’s child. Taking a job as a security guard for the movie Braveheart 2, Charlie never imagined falling for an actress. But Valentina is not your typical superstar; she’s got demons all her own.

This is steamy and provides some laughs, but it also has serious moments. I love Charlie; he may look tough, but he’s broken yet so sweet. And hello, he loves dogs! The chemistry between Charlie and Valentina is great, and now I want to visit a castle in the Scottish Highlands.

Thank you @KateRockBookTours and @eviealexanderauthor for a spot on tour and a gifted ebook.

This book gives a different perspective on Hollywood Games and I love seeing a different point of view. Charlie was one of the characters I wanted to know more about in the last book and this one gave me the information I was craving. I loved his relationship with Valentina and found it adorable that they share a birthday. I thought he was going to become her bodyguard, but I'm glad that the book took a different turn and focused on their relationship rather than their jobs. I loved the importance of finding yourself and what you want from life. It seemed like both characters focused on others in their life before they met each other. Evie's writing is so well done and the research she did to get things in the book to be accurate shows how much care she puts into her writing. I love this whole series and cannot wait for the next one.

Evie Alexander is an insta-read for me ever since I read Highland Games. Kissing Games, Book 3 of the Kinloch series did not disappoint!
As with all of Evie's books, Kissing Games provides a romantic comedy with serious heat and a whole lot of heart!
It initially appears that Charlie and Valentina are very different from one another, but as the story grows we see that they are more alike than we thought. The 'Teenage Years" challenge is the beginning of their love story and the beginning of who they are meant to be.
The growth of these characters is emotional and very heartfelt, something that I love about all of Evie's characters.
Charlie is so sexy, charming, and laugh out loud funny whereas Valentina is beautiful, guarded, and driven, both however, love fiercely and want to be the best version of themselves.
If you are looking for some epic steamy scenes, hilarious grandmothers, loyal friends (human and dogs), a dragon tattoo, and teenage poetry this book will check all of those boxes.

Kissing Games is the 3rd book in the Kinloch Series and Evie didn't disappoint.
Charlie, 6ft 4" shopping bag carrier to the rich and famous, looking for work in either Angola or the Highlands, the Highlands it is. In the airport he meets Valentina, and her bust backpack.
Obviously they end up at the set of Braveheart 2. Let the kissing games commence.
I loved this book from start to finish, and getting to know Charlie and Valentina, from the jar of dares, sewing, the list is endless. You will just have to read it

This can be read as a stand alone, but I encourage you to read books 1 & 2 first.

Now excuse me whilst I go and find myself a man with a dragon tattoo

Thank you so much Evie for the advanced reader copy and bringing some more raunchiness into my day xx

This is my favorite of the Kinloch series so far! Hysterical, touching, and sweet is a tough act to pull off, and Evie Alexander does it with aplomb. Charlie and Valentina's story is unconventional and perfect for the world of Kinloch. Well done.

Evie never lets me down. I think this is the fifth book I’ve read of hers and they’ve all been so much fun! And there’s plenty of steam too, what’s not to love?!

This is the third book in the Kinloch series (but can be read as a stand-alone) and it was great to see the second book from the perspectives of other characters. I loved Charlie and I knew I would from what we saw of him in Hollywood Games. Valentina’s grandmothers are brilliant and bring so much love and humour to the story. And to top it all off, there’s some adorable dogs. I had a great time!

I received an advance copy from the author but these opinions are my own.

Kissing Games is the third book in Evie Alexander’s Kinloch series and I absolutely loved it! The chemistry between Charlie and Valentina was amazing and off the charts. Both characters have their own issues, but their interactions together were adorable. I absolutely loved this love story and while minor characters feature from the first two books in the series it can totally be read as a standalone.

I was excited for these two characters’ stories. And I was hooked from the start! Both had their own issues. Where in some ways it seemed like they didn’t necessarily affect the other one, the author made them perfectly woven into the plot so that it all made sense. The connection between these two was perfection as well. You could tell from their banter, the way they reacted to each other, as well as how they behaved. Both of them did the thing where they tried to pretend it was just a fling. But you could tell both were also thinking of how things could be afterward.

One fun aspect of this is that it took place during the same time period as the last book, Hollywood Games, so it was neat to see those those events from different points of view, with different amounts of importance based on the characters who were the stars of this story. Of course I also adored getting to spend time with Rory and Zoe again, and in a similar way, seeing the two of them from other characters’ perspectives.

Charlie was one I couldn’t help but fall in love with, and I hated that at first Valentina didn’t see he wasn’t a playboy just because he was such a handsome charming guy. I also hated how she got upset about something that played out for a tiny bit in the story with his ex. And while I am nowhere near a prude, from what the film she was getting ready to do that was an “art film” was described as, yeah, not sure that was really going to do anything for her career or changing how people saw her. I loved the way the author made things that happen turn into the catalyst for making her career change and grow in a way that was healthy and perfect for her.

Since we got an epilogue for this one, and the next book is supposed to be another couple, I look forward to seeing both of the couples from the books so far and how they play into the next couple’s story.

Actress Valentina Valverde is exhausted when she arrives on the set of her latest film in Scotland, and not just from the travel. She’s been working nonstop since she was a child and it’s beginning to take its toll, but she knows she can’t stop now. There are too many people depending on her, but she is beginning to realize that she’s missed out on much of the beauty of life.

As head of security, Charlie Hamilton has seen a bit too much. He’s full of charisma and blessed with good looks, but inside he’s a wreck. He lost his last gig, has essentially no contact with his family, and no real direction, so when his best friend asks him to drop everything and come to Scotland to secure Kinloch Castle from the craziness brought by the film crew, he agrees. He just wasn’t expecting to fall for one of the cast members.

Charlie is unlike anyone Valentina has ever met. When he suggests she use some of the unexpected downtime she has during this film to experience some things she’s missed out on and step outside her comfort zone a bit, she can’t completely resist him. Charlie utterly captivates Valentina with his passion and sense of humor, but their fun soon has deeper feelings attached. Their relationship has a finite end date and will be left as just a Highland fling if they can’t find a way to step away from their past issues and into a future together.

I adored Charlie, scars, tattoos, flaws and all. I liked Valentina as well and found her insecurity relatable, though at the same time, she also frustrated me since she’s so obviously a very beautiful woman and it was frustrating to see her put herself down so much, to the point that it nearly came between her and Charlie. I had a similar frustration with Charlie and his inability to see his own worth and goodness, believing himself to be nothing more than your average, run of the mill cad. This made Valentina a little annoyingly grumpy towards Charlie at first and it was hard to feel like she wasn’t using him, but they were so cute together that I got over it. I loved the fact that Charlie and Valentina both had issues to deal with from their pasts and from their families and they were both a little lost. They helped each other grow as individuals and as a couple and it was obvious how truly good they were for each other. They were very well suited and that was obvious for anyone to see, and I loved the fact that their relationship was high steam, but that the bedroom scenes were obviously a huge part of their relationship development and were very big emotional moments for these two, especially near the end. I also loved Valentina’s abuelas and their interactions with Charlie. I only wish we’d gotten some sort of interaction between Valentina and Charlie’s family, but maybe that can be a bonus chapter or a Christmas novella or something. Either way, I really did enjoy this couple and their story and Charlie was fantastic as a complex, multi-layered, and often-underestimated hero.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Blog link: https://mustreadalltheromance.blogspo...

I received an ARC for an honest review...

Where do I even start with this book. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. I found it on booksprout and was a little hesitant because it was the 3rd in the series, bit I am so glad I read this. It can be a stand alone and follows Charlie who is just so closed off from everyone. He locks everything into a mental box and tries to forget all the hurt he has been through.

And then you have Valentina who is this beautiful actress who doesn't see her worth at all. She also comes with her own demons. You get to watch these two grow throughout the entire book and it was beautiful. I give this 5 stars and more if I could.

This book has a good flow of the story that will keep you reading. I started this book intending to just start on one chapter just to get myself prepare from one book to another but end up stopping a few chapters after. Even though the chapters at the start feels a bit slow probably because of some unnecessary scene but because it was written well you just continue to read. In the middle of the story, it started to pick up and by then it is hard to put down.
The plot is good. It is not only about Valentina and Charlie but also about their family. Other than the romance and steamy scenes, the story also points out that communication is important. Not only to your partner but also to everyone around. A few lessons to pick up our forgiveness, don’t let others tell you what kind of person you are and believe in yourself. I thought it will have a predictable ending but I spoke too soon and was surprised a little bit.
The characters: Valentina loves her family. Her hard work is dedicated to her family. Everything she does is for them. She is a good daughter, sister, and granddaughter. On the other hand, Charlie is estranged from his family. He only talked to his sister but never talked to his parents. He was a rebellious teenager. Valentina and Charlie were opposites but together they are like a magnet that is so attracted to each other. I like the chemistry that the author put into the character that complements each other. The interest of Valentina’s family in where his dragon tattoo ends is a funny sideways of the story. It adds to the other touches of humor in the story.

About the book
Valentina Valverde is an actress and working hard to make it to Holywood. She went to Scotland to film Braveheart 2 at Kinloch Castle. Charlie Hamilton is an ex-army and now works as a bodyguard but hated his job. Until his best friend, Rory the Earl of Kinloch called him for help as security at the Kinloch Castle. Valentina and Charlie met and instantly felt their chemistry. Because Valentina is so focused on her career since she was young, she never experienced fun in her life. While Charlie went through all the excitement of his teenage years.
He started showing her what fun in life is and let her experience excitement during their stay in the castle. As they go through their list of fun activities, they started to fall in love with each other. Holding back their feelings knowing that they have to end and get back to reality once the filming is over. He believes that he is not good enough for her while She is so focused on her dream for her family, both are afraid to make a mistake.
Will they fight for their feelings at the end or will they just go on with their life after once the filming is over?

Kissing Games
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance
Format: Kindle eBook
Date Published: 9/22/22
Author: Evie Alexander
Publisher: Emlin Press
GR: 4.47

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from Katie and Brey PA and Emlin Press and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: When actress Valentina arrives in Scotland to film Braveheart 2, she’s at breaking point. Driven by demons, she’s worked without a break since she was a teen and can’t stop now. Bodyguard Charlie’s lived too much. With looks and charm, he should have it all, but he’s broken. Estranged from his family, sacked from his job, and with nothing left to lose, he flies to the Highlands to help his best friend protect Kinloch castle from a crazy Hollywood film crew. He sweeps her into a world of skinny dipping, laughter and blinding passion. But as fun crosses the line into love, disaster bursts their bubble. Can they let go of the past and find a future together? Or is this just a Highland fling?

My Thoughts: I asked to be on the arc team of this book strictly on its cover and I am so glad that I did. This is book no. 3 in the Kinloch series. I have not read the whole series, only this one, and it was easy enough to follow through with. Broken Bodyguard + lonely actress + castle in Scotland = the perfect romance. I just adored this book. It was funny, sweet, endearing, steamy, very steamy, and spicy. With the trope of forced proximity, things get very hot between Valentina and Charles. The story is narrated by both Valentina and Charles, from their perspectives, in a dual POV. Personally, I prefer the dual POVs as you get both sides of the relationship. The characters were very well developed with depth, witty banter, chemistry, spiciness, and creatively done. The author’s writing style was complex, steamy, filled with sexual tension, intriguing, and kept me engaged the whole book. The paperback is already out and the ebook releases later this week. I would definitely recommend if you like a steamy funny romance.

A mountain of a man and a natural protector at heart, Charlie is a bodyguard for hire. When he’s professionally and personally cut adrift, he lands at his pal Rory’s estate Kinloch Castle where filming for Braveheart 2 is underway. There he meets Valentina, a lovely Latina actress who has been on the Hollywood treadmill since she was a child and is quite frankly, burned out.

Valentina and Charlie are immediately intrigued by one another, their sparkling banter lively and their physical attraction palpable. Charlie challenges Valentina to take a break from the grind and rediscover her joy by creating a to-do list that ranges from a pub crawl to streaking to skinny dipping to making wild monkey sex. (Ahem… Charlie clearly has a one track mind!)

The more time the two spend together, the more they open up to one another, peeling back their most vulnerable layers like the petals of a breathtaking flower. For the first time, they show someone who they really are - their faults and fears - as they fall deeper in love with one another, and we fall more in love with them.

Evie Alexander is one of the best romantic comedy authors around, and I lapped up this third instalment of her excellent Highland Games series like ice cream. What a treat! Her trademark brilliant wit, panty-melting steamy scenes, and superbly written, well-rounded characters and stellar cast are quite simply at their best. I sighed and smiled throughout and by the last page, was cheering aloud for Charlentina!

Spice: 🌶 🌶 🌶.5

My heart just feels so full after reading this book! It’s the kind of book that leaves you with a smile, and while it has the author’s particular brand of crazy hilariousness throughout, it also has its poignant emotional moments too. I thought it didn’t get much better than Rory and Zoe and their two books, but I just might have to say that Charlie and Valentina are my new favorite!

Despite Charlie’s questionable romantic history, I instantly fell in love with him and his goofy sense of humor, as well as the feisty and funny actress Valentina. It’s like I could feel literal sparks off the page when they first met, and those continue on until the very last page! Charlie only gets better as we find out he sees and has a soft spot for one eyed dogs. I love how these two brought out the best in each other and we get to see them really grow. I just felt so proud of both of them!

Being back in Kinloch felt like being home, and although most of it takes place during the time that Hollywood Games takes place, it is definitely a good standalone and it was fun to see the events from the movie set from a completely different perspective. Who know when reading the last book that all this steaminess was happening between Charlie and Valentina at the same time?! This might just be Evie’s most 🔥 book yet, and combined with the laughs, some tears, and Valentina’s amazing family, this is a book that I never wanted to end.

Series- Kinloch #3

Troupes- celebrity/bobygaurd insta attraction, opposites attract, cinnamon roll hero, Forced Proximity, set in Scotland, Duel POV

CW-

Evie brings us another epic love story set Kinloch castle, Scotland while the insane ‘Braveheart 2” movie is being filmed! This book is set in the same timeline as “Hollywood Games”, there are a lot of parallels and its best if you also read “Hollywood Games” but not necessary.

In “Kissing Game” we finally get to know the rising starlet Valentina and ex military/bodygaurd Charlie. Valentina has a lot going on, she’s been working nonstop since childhood and is close achieving her goal. Charlie suddenly has nothing going on and has retreated to his BFF’s castle for this security gig while he figures out what’s next. Both are broken (Cause come on we all are) and in need of a change. Their first meet cute is adorable and sparks are flying fast!

I love Charlie but I don’t love his life choices so far. I rooted for him all the way though. Valentina is instantly lovable and relatable despite the celebrity status. Once more Kinloch is it’s own character and Evie gives us the right amount of depictive imagery to set the scene and once more I wanna GO there!

Evie is also nothing but consistent in her steam levels this one on par with Hollywood Games and the dirty talk is on point! 🥵

This is a fun and feels story, the hijinx are hilarious but the emotions do tug on those pesky heart strings and there are real life issues these two dummy have to work though.

I love Evie’s story telling, and can not wait for this next in this series, Sam and Jamie are going to be so much fun!

Return to Kinloch and relive the story from the Hollywood Games from a different point of view. Beautiful actress Valentina Valverde is in Scotland to shoot a new movie and while her life seems perfect, it is anything but. Charlie, Rory's best mate, is at the castle to provide a bit of security and muscle when he unexpectantly falls head over heels for Valentina. But their lives are so different they both know they can never have anything besides a few weeks together and besides, Charlie has so much weighing down on him that the last thing he needs is more drama. But as happens in Kinloch, magic is in the air and both Charlie and Valentina find out that being with each other causes them to be the truest versions of themselves. But what will happen when the film wraps and they have to go back to their daily lives?

I LOVED this book from start to finish. Now, I will say I am invested in these characters having read the first 2 books of the series so I was so excited to get back to the scene at Kinloch! If you read book 2, Hollywood Games, this book is almost like a behind-the-scenes of that one. You get all the crazy scenes and moments but from Charlie and Valentina's perspective. Plus it dives deeper into these two characters. What I love about Evie Alexander's writing is that she really tells you about her characters so that you get to know them and then can see the growth and development of them. This is no exception. We really get to see both characters evolve and change which makes me love them all the more.
Dragon tattoo placement- genius!

Critiques- really none, with the exception of how fast Charlie fell for Valentina. Coming off a ten year on/off relationship with Caroline, I expected Charlie to be a bit more broken up about her dumping him but then one could surmise that "di**head Charlie" as he calls himself wouldn't have cared but put up a wall and moved on which he does, but still I wanted a little more from him.

I honestly just enjoyed this for what it was and enjoyed being back at Kinloch. The steam is off the charts hot! But it totally fits with these two characters. I was wondering how the ending would go and thought it was well done, would have liked more in the epilogue but you can get an extended epilogue (plus more bonus features of all the books) on Evie's page. After I read the extended epilogue I was satisfied and thought it very sweet.
This can be read as a stand alone and you will still be able to follow it however if you read the other books prior, in particular Hollywood Games, it will give you a better appreciation of this one. It is very well written and has comedy, romance and drama! I highly recommend it.

i dnfed about halfway thru (50%)

although this was the third book in the series, i still decided to give the arc a try! however.. this book didn’t do it for me. as always, im gonna keep my reviews 100% honest

i felt the story to be boring.. there wasn’t much going on. i didn’t feel like there was much of a storyline, and it was more about two friends who are physically attracted to each other. there wasn’t anything that really “wowed” me about the whole book. as for the relationship, it gave me middle school vibes. i thought both Charlie and Valentine were immature.. and i didn’t find much of their relationship to be cute? i also thought their banter was quite annoying

as for the characters, didn’t like either one. it’s obvious that Valentine thought she was better than everyone.. and at times i thought she was too stuck-up. but i think the author tried to give off more of a “humble” vibes; that i didn’t really get. as for Charlie, he’s a walking red flag. in love with a married women? no thanks. also, i found him to be such a “pick me” boy. like shut up, no one cares that you’re a “dickhead”

and finally the writing style, not my type. i felt like things were choppy, and didn’t flow at all. i also didn’t understand a lot of the humor; most things i didn’t find funny. and the sex scenes were, eh. i got the vibes that the author wasn’t comfortable writing them because they were odd

overall, this book wasn’t for me. i can see why people adored it.. but i wasnt a fan

I thought this was adorable. I loved Charlie and Valentina. I thought they were the perfect couple.

Some people might get frustrated with the way Valentina handled things here and there but honestly, I like that she was kind of broken and had to find herself. I don't want to give too much away or anything so that is all I'll say. It's a story worthy to read and understand.

Poor Charlie is kind of a menace but I loved him dearly. Also, part of me wants a real life version of Charlie to show me those tattoos... The book talks about them so much that now I want to see them too!!!!

Also - love the cover art! It really helped me to be able to visualize the characters. I kept pulling it up while reading so that I could see the characters and how they looked together.

My only wish is that we got an extended epilogue because I want to see them married with children. Charlie talks about wanting kids over and over so I would have loved to read about him as a dad. It would have been so sweet!

This is the third book in the Kinloch series.

I love this series. This book deals with two people learning to overcome their perceived flaws and being true to themselves. The characters are well developed and believable. The story has all the feels. Highly recommend!

Valentina Valverde is a Columbian actress. She has been working since she was nine. She is trying to save enough money to buy homes for her whole family in the US. She is one of the leads in a movie being filmed at Castle Kinloch.

Charlie Hamilton comes from a monied background. He is former British Army and SAS. His best friend is Rory, the Earl of Kinloch. Rory asks Charlie to help him while the American film crew is filming at the castle.

Charlie and Valentina meet at the airport. He does not know who she is but is very attracted to her. He decides to pursue her. Valentina agrees to learn how to be a typical teenager from Charlie which leads them on some funny adventures.

“I’m loving this series and though this is written with a British sense of humour I found it bloody funny. I loved the characters - Valentina an actress and Charlie a bodyguard. Their chemistry is 🔥, and their banter is funny. I loved them both even though they are trying to fight their demons. This is a wonderful, entertaining and fantastic story. I loved it and I definitely recommend this book/series.”

“Evie Alexander is an insta-read for me ever since I read Highland Games.
The 'Teenage Kicks" challenge is the beginning of their love story and the beginning of who they are meant to be.
The growth of these characters is emotional and very heartfelt, something that I love about all of Evie's characters. Charlie is so sexy, charming, and laugh-out-loud funny whereas Valentina is beautiful, guarded, and driven. Both however, love fiercely and want to be the best version of themselves.
If you are looking for some epic steamy scenes, hilarious grandmothers, loyal friends (human and dogs), a dragon tattoo, and teenage poetry this book will check all of those boxes.”

“This is my favorite of the Kinloch series so far! Hysterical, touching, and sweet is a tough act to pull off, and Evie Alexander does it with aplomb. Charlie and Valentina's story is unconventional and perfect for the world of Kinloch. Well done.”

“Kissing Games is the third book in Evie Alexander’s Kinloch series and I absolutely loved it! The chemistry between Charlie and Valentina was amazing and off the charts. Both characters have their own issues, but their interactions together were adorable. I absolutely loved this love story and while minor characters feature from the first two books in the series it can totally be read as a standalone.”

“Where do I even start with this book? I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. I was a little hesitant because it was the 3rd in the series, but I am so glad I read this. It can be read as a standalone and follows Charlie who is just so closed off from everyone. He locks everything into a mental box and tries to forget all the hurt he has been through.

And then you have Valentina who is this beautiful actress who doesn't see her worth at all. She also comes with her own demons. You get to watch these two grow throughout the entire book and it was beautiful. I give this 5 stars and would give it more if I could.”

Even though this is the third book in this series, this is my first book by this author and let’s say it did not disappoint.

The story is based in Scotland and follows Charlie & Valentina who both meet at the airport. Turns out they are both traveling to the same destination Kinloch.

While this couple may seem like an unlikely match it is actually the furthest from the truth. They in fact have plenty in common.

The banter, the spice, the tension and dynamic of this couple. I absolutely ADORED!

Bodyguard romance ✔️
Spice ✔️
Banter ✔️
Strong FMC ✔️

I will most definitely be going back to read the first instalment of this series as I am most curious about the side characters that made an appearance throughout this book!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Book 3 in the Kinloch series and its the best one yet! I love Rory and Zoe still, don't get me wrong, but I love exploring new characters and Charlie and Valentina are great inclusions to this series!
It was a little strange reading the same timeline as book 2 and trying not to get ahead of myself with things I knew would happen but it was also nice to go back and laugh over incidents like Rory versus Brad and Vlad's demise again.
There was some really humorous moments and some touching ones too. Evie is very good of getting the right mix of spicy and sweet shenanigans!
I cant wait for the next in the series to carry on exploring more characters from this wonderful collection!

I have been impatiently waiting for our next opportunity to come back to Kinloch, and it has been worth every second of the wait. Charlie and Valentina were so cute together. I loved watching them rediscover some of the special magic of being a teenager. But, at the same time, it hurt my heart to witness all the pain and guilt they both carried. There were some very special moments when they’re able to set those burdens down. I adored the ending and I’m already counting down until the moment we get to come back and do this again.
